I think these episodes were filmed while the whole Isiah Washington drama was hitting the fan. Thank GOD Dr. "Thinks he knows Christina so well" Marlow is leaving i really got tired of him saying that she wasn't the marrying type. Izzie has got to be the most deserving character on the show for some good karma... she lost Denny, gave up her child who now refuses to see her even though she probably just saved her life for the bone marrrow deal, almost wrecked her relationship with George over some drunken sex and don't even get me started on the Alex/Izzie drama. I think maybe that need to be revisited for both of them mainly because they are so bad together that they actually fit! See season 1 and 2. He was there for her though all her Denny drama and then she wants to be there for him now. I think Alex and Izzie make a more sensible couple than Izzie and George why ruin ANOTHER friendship over sex! :) The Burke and Christina thing will heat up. Grey's is kinds one of those shows, like Ugly Betty, that you usually can get away with missing an episode and still get what is going on. I cant remember what season it was but she had a patient who was a young black girl who was pregnant and couldnt decide whether she wanted to place her baby up for adoption so Izzie told the girl her personal story about her daughter that she gave up when she was young and how it was the best choice she could have made to give the kid a better life. I do believe this was before the whole Deny debocle.
