American Idol is supposed to be a singing contest. The winner should be able to sing anything threw their way. Jordin proved that she could do that.

Even though I wanted Joey to win, I do believe that Apollo winning was great because he isn’t a dancer (even though he is an athlete)!!

I am a HUGE Blake fan, but I don’t want him to win because I don’t want him to be in the AI contract. I want his first CD now…and it will be soon, vs. Jordin’s will take awhile (because the AI people create it)!!

And one last thing, that song was COMPLETELY MADE for Melinda/LaKeisha/Jordin…not Blake, so I feel there was a little sabatage going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jordin mopped the floor last night with blake. I hope and pray she wins. I went into watching Idol last night very disappointed that Melinda wasn’t there, but after hearing Jordin sing I was for her. The last song was the best. She took a ho-hum song and blew it out of the water.

As for Dancing with the Stars, I wanted Joey to win. Apollo was good, but Joey was good and had the sparkly personality.

First off, let me say that this entire season of American Idol, Blake and Jordin have been my favorites. However, Jordin needs to win, because, much like the Chris Daughtry situation, Blake would be better off not winning so he can make the type of album he wants, and not what producers want.
I have to comment on that sappy song they both had to sing. How dumb!! I like Blake a lot, but how silly did he look singing that song and jumping around? Much like Bo, supposedly a rocker guy with long hair, singing “I wanna be inside your heaven” on season 4. I think the producers chose “This is my now” knowing full well that it is a song for Jordin, not Blake. It doesn’t fit him at all! They probably didn’t want him to win anyway, (maybe cause he has tatoos and doesn’t fit the pop princess mold that Jordin so well fits?) Just my opinion. Anyhow, this season finale reminded me sooooo mcuh of Carrie/Bo because they were both equally popular like Jordin/Blake, both did great on their first two songs, then the sappy ballad comes along and the guy stinks at it!
Even though I really, really like Blake, and will most likely buy an album he puts out, I hope he does NOT win tonight. That would suck for him, and I think he knows it, too. You could tell from his performance last night of that dumb song that he hated it, and didn’t feel comfortable at all with it.
And what was with Jordin crying at the end? I would bet that the producers nudged her a bit “Cry if you want to at the end…it’ll be a nice touch.” Don’t get me wrong, I like Jordin, but they chose that song so she would win the contest.

Well, I have totally agree with you on Laila. Laila was a great dancer and danced gracefully and she had every right to be pissed. Joey sucked, I mean let’s face it, he sucks….

Didn’t really care for American Idol last night.

First, I too loved watching Joey. He’s a great performer. But despite what they say, he HAD been trained in dance before … hello, he was in a boy band. No, maybe he didn’t know ballroom dancing, but he was a dancer and all of his ballroom dances pulled from that. Though he thoroughly entertained me, you never saw the professionals leap-frogging off a stage.

Apollo always won my vote because he BALLROOM danced and did it beautifully. And their chemistry was amazing. I think he was underrated as a performer because in scenes of their practice, he and Juliet(?) were like brother and sister but on the dance floor, they were hot (even a bit raunchy at times, but who doesn’t love that?)

I was really turned off watching Laila because of her upperbody. It never seemed graceful; she seemed like she didn’t know what to do with her arms and shoulders if she wasn’t punching.

One thing that really bothered me this year was that the judges never bitched at the dancers when they did something you aren’t supposed to do. Like how they were always on Joey and Mario last season. They just let things slide this year.

But I couldn’t be happier about Apollo.

I loved Jordin last night, and since I have Cingular, I was able to vote for her 100 times. I think she deserves it. She really shined last night.

Blake sucks i like the b boxing but only in little parts not almost a whole song. I love Jordin she is going to win close to the end of show espeically in the last song blake Hated it he wants to lose cause then hey cant release music he wants to release. I have Sparks…
