Big Brother: Some Developments In The House

So Zack got HOH, which will be revealed on Sunday. He finally found his man parts and put Danielle and Dick up on the block.
Dick has apparently been caught cheating! In his HOH basket was a letter from his son. Each HOH winner normally gets a letter from home. Well he and his son worked out some code in which he’d secretly slip in initials of who could and couldn’t be trusted. Dick told this to Danielle, and got caught! (Well duh, you only have a microphone on!) As of yet nobody knows if he’s being punished.
The POV competition was today and . . . . it seems Danielle has one! She and Dick are talking about the competition, Danielle has said Jameka will be going home. Dick doesn’t care as long as it’s the two of them in the end. Dick and Danielel are talking about how they have won, Zack is clueless and won’t get any votes.

I think Zach can compete for HOH this week. In the seasons past they have let the very last HOH be competed for by all the houseguest sinec the HOH winner is the only one who sends somebody home when it gets to the final three.

Dick getting a secret code that does him no good at this point in the game is not that big of a deal. IF it would have changed something in the game maybe it should warrant a penalty but not now. Plus Eric was getting help all summer and it was part of the game, not sure if they could punish D for doing what Eric has been allowed to do all summer.

I don’t think Eric being AP and Dick getting a secret message from his son are anywhere near the same thing. We weren’t telling Eric who he could and couldn’t trust…we were telling him who to get voted out. That’s not based on his own alliances…that was based on America’s preferences. And for a part of the summer, America had Eric going against his alliance.
While Dick’s letter doesn’t change the outcome now, it very well could have if he had won HoH a week or so before he did. I’m sure it’s happened before, but don’t be an idiot and admit to it. I think he feels like he can do whatever he pleases in this game and not get in trouble for it. He acts like one of my students, not a grown adult.

America still got Eric as far as he did. Eric would have played safe and voted with everyone else and would have been a target much sooner but the AP thing forced him into his D&D alliance which kept him around longer in the game.
Dick is crude and rude and stupid for shooting his mouth off, and I’m sure that was not an original idea of his but the fact is his secret code is not why he is where he is in the game and to kick him out now would ruin the play of the game.

Actually, I feel that if it hadn’t been for AP, Dick would have been gone instead of Dustin a few weeks ago. Eric said it himself the other night when he was evicted - it wasn’t until he got his AP task that he convinced others to get rid of Dustin instead of Dick. Eric would also not have almost been backdoored if it weren’t for AP because he wouldn’t have been casting the votes against the group and he probably wouldn’t have had a banner calling him out as a liar. If anything, AP kept Dick around longer…not Eric.

The banner was obsolete, it didn’t hurt either one of them. Everyone questioned it but no one voted one way or the other because of it. Eric had no game and would have been a floater riding jess’s coat tails if it had not been for AP.

It was immeadiately after the banner that Dani figured out that Eric was the mystery votes against the group and she started her plan to backdoor him. Up until the night before the live show, Eric was going home. I don’t consider that to be completely harmless.
Eric knows this game like the back of his hand. He had as much game as he possibly could while still doing the AP thing, and I think his game would have been better if he wasn’t AP. He pretty much dictated most of Jessica’s moves…She was relatively clueless about the game in general (she admitted to only seeing a few seasons). I don’t see any coat tail riding happening there.

I think they could still give Dick a penalty vote like they did Jen. If they let them know about it before the POV ceremony then Danielle could use the veto in Dick so that the penalty vote wouldn’t matter and her and her dad would both still be there. Maybe its just wishful thinking that Dick will get a penalty vote, but I REALLY hope he does. He was complaining about Jen cheating when what he did was much worse.

Jessica was smart she let Eric talk her into things, that got her evicted, so he could play the AP thing. When she figures that out hopefully she tells him where to go with his 40 thousand. But Eric would have been fine going with the group on weeks such as when Nick got voted out, sorry but I saw nothing in Eric that says he would have done well independantly.

Ok now THIS is pathetic…
Dick’s shoulder is hurting. (boo-frickin-hoo) He must have done something to it while he was playing massive amounts of heavy metal air guitar yesterday while waiting for the POV comp to start.
So now he’s told the DR that his shoulder hurts and hopes that they take that into consideration when planning the final HoH comps (usually at least the first one is endurance). He says it would be an unfair disadvantage if it were something he needed his shoulder for and couldn’t compete very well.
Also, CBS has admitted that Jameka was unfairly DQed from the POV comp on Thursday’s show and that the ball DID bounce into her tube. The outcome would have been the same if she won POV, but it could have happened to anyone and seriously changed the outcome of the game. BB’s slipping in their competition design!

They have often had problems with their competitions over the years, where minor problems (like what happened to Jameka) have occurred. They really dont always think out their games and competitions to where all things that could happen are prevented.
From what I saw in the tapes, Jameka in my opinion did the right thing, Julie told her she was DQ-ed, she kept trying kept saying to check the tapes that she didnt put it in.
She did not walk off the playing field.

Dick needs a penatly vote or something. He has gotten away with too many things this season. It is time that BB did something about it. If they do not do something I am considering not watching anymore. Cheating is cheating no matter what. Abuse is abuse rather it physical or mental. I didn’t like Jen but I have to say the tea was going a bit far. The cig burn was bith of their faults, he knew what he was doing.

They had the code all planned out! The first and last letters of each paragraph were going to be the initials of people that Dick couldn’t trust, and his son was also supposed to comment on his current “status” with his girlfriend: We’re doing fine means trust your alliance, We’ve broken up means don’t trust your alliance. Doesn’t matter if they didn’t know who was going to be in the house ahead of time. Those letters are NOT written ahead of time. I read once they are collected every other week or so in the event that their loved ones win HoH. So yes, it was a special code planned between the two of them. How is dick NOT guilty???

It WOULD have mattered if the letter was received a week or two ago. The timing IS NOT the point…its the fact that he planned it AND has openly admitted to it. BB has looked the other way with almost everything he has done this summer just because he is bringing in good ratings…It’s kinda sad and pathetic that they need to stoop to those levels when there are lots of other things they could do to keep the show interesting without having a immature idiot like him running around the house.

It’s somewhat hypocritical to say that cheating earlier in the game isn’t ok but now it is. That would be like me telling one of my students it was ok that he cheated on a test because he still got a bad grade. Doesn’t send the right message!
This is the first time in the history of this show (been a faithful watcher since season 1) that I think the show has gone overboard in playing favorites simply for the sake of ratings. Will I watch next summer if they have someone as obnoxious as Dick? Most likely no!

I think Dani is a whiny brat, but out of the three that will be left come Tuesday, I have no problem with her winning.
The problem with it being fixed is that it’s technically a game show since there is $$ involved in the end…If BB keeps it up in the direction they are heading in this season, they are going to be dealing with the FCC…and there won’t be anymore Big Brother.

I don’t find a whole lot about Dick entertaining. There were times early on, before his standing in the game was in jeopardy, where I thought he was funny, but once he started on his tirades it turned me off. Personally, I find no enjoyment in watching anyone yell/scream/fight. That’s just a personal preference of mine. I find other aspects of the show entertaining…especially when alliances begin to enter the “train wreck” stage and they begin taking each other out…like when Dustin was evicted. I think other people would have stepped into the pot stirring role if Dick wasn’t there to do it. The other seasons have had plenty of entertainment without people acting like he does.
At this point in the game, it’s all boring even with Dick there. I would give anything for them to give us some Jury House live feed footage since the HGs aren’t doing a whole lot.

I think that if Dick is not penalized thenthe integrity of the game is completely comprimized. If he is allowed to get away with it then so can all future contestants and then there will be no reason so watch BB. Jen intentionally at the wrong kind of food and got penalized. BB is clearly picking favorites for Dick planning oncheating and following through with it. There is no reason he shouldn’t be penalized.

Yup…they are very hypocritical! When they break a deal, it’s strategy. When someone breaks a deal with them, it’s the end of the world. I felt the same way about them when they were getting mad at people having multiple deals/alliances/playing all sides when they were doing the same thing.
I’m really hoping that some Karma kicks in soon and we don’t have a D&D final 2.

I don’t find dick entertaining I often mute or change the channel when he acting the way he does. I do not find it appealing the way he puts women down. I also don’t like all the cussing. He plain out rude. As far as the cheating goes how is not cheating if he knew what the codes were. It was HIM and his SON. How else do you think he knew what the codes were?! BB needs to do something about it or plan in future season to let the contestant have outside help.

You guys find it entertaining and that is why you continue to watch it. Everyone keeps saying that Dick was wrong, well how about Jameka telling him that his mom was a “bi*(h”. Was that not wrong? He has always attacked the houseguests and no one else. You people especially, Palmtreeglrz are so judgemental to what Dick and Danielle do that you forget about everything else. It is a game and that’s it.
If you don’t watch anymore, good. It won’t affect anything. As everyone has mentioned, Dick has not yet broke the rules. Jen broke the rules, she ate food that she was not supposed to eat. Also, as far as the whole burn thing, that was solely Jen. She was the one that went in Dick’s face trying to get the cigarettes.
My think is if you have that many complaints don’t watch and don’t cloud the message boards with all of this mess. This is a site where you can come and discuss the game but not bash the players….

I do believe that Dick needs to be punished in someway. The integrity of the game is at stake if he’s not. Cheating is cheating no matter what and it should not be con-doned by CBS or the Producers. He should get a penalty vote for what he has done, just like Jenn did when she cheated and broke the rules!

I’m sorry Jewel, but bashing the posters here for expressing their own opinions is being judgemental as well. Isn’t that what a message board is about? Discussing different points of view? If we all agreed, there’d be nothing to talk about. I have never taken my posts to a personal level as you just have…THAT is clouding the boards with a mess. Dustin himself has posted that he disagrees with Dick’s actions…is he not allowed to post that on his own board?
People have been bashing players since the beginning of the show in July. Everyone has their favorites and everyone has the people they dislike or even hate. But what I’ve enjoyed about this forum more than others is that everyone here seemed to RESPECT each other’s opinions, not be told what they could or couldn’t say.
I have the right to dislike Dick, as anyone else in the “you people” club that you are referring to. Rather than just saying “Oh I hate him”, I back up my opinion with events that have caused me to feel that way. It’s my opinion, and I’m entitled to it. Just like you’re telling me to turn off the tv, if you see a post from me, don’t read it!

Uh oh. Hit a soft spot with Palmtreegrlz. You can just chill. It is only a matter of opinion. However, I stated in my post that everyone is ranting on Dick, but no one has commented on Jameka talking about his mother. Everyones’ opinion is totally one-sided.
In any case, we have to agree to disagree and we will leave it at that. I was wrong for singling you out but that is the way that I felt. Was I being judgemental? Of course not, but to each its own.

pretty sure jameka called daniele out on her faith and said “i guess we don’t believe in the same God”….thats totally un cool. Daniele can very well be a christian but doesn’t parade it infront of people like jameka does. i’m sorry but that seemed a little messed up to me. i can’t exactly remember if she apologized or not but htat showed that under pressure jameka can respond in a very mean way just like how she called ed’s mom a nasty word when she was getting upset at him.

yea jameka did apologize. i’m pretty sure it happened that same day when Dani went upstairs to HOH where everyone was hanging out. she told them how she felt she was being treated unfairly due to dick’s actions and saying that she wasn’t his mother. then her and jameka trade a few words and by the end, jam does apologize.

Palmtreegrlz I think you are right about dick. I am sure they have a no threatening physical contact rule. So when dick poured the iced tea over jen’s head – he should have been eliminated at that point.
Why are they not showing what is going on in the sequester house – they have showed us each arrival in the past years. I would have like to see the reactions of the old house quest as more evicted house guest came in. Especially Dustin and Amber. I would like to know whose personality Amber has taken on now that she does not have Jameka’s religion to piggyback on.

There’s speculation that they are actually keeping them all separated in sequester instead of having them all together in one house. Guess we won’t know for sure until they tell us.
I think at this point, just about everyone has made a personal attack or two on everyone else (or more in some cases haha). While everyone keeps saying “It’s just a game”, so many post-eviction interviews I’ve seen in past years frequently have the former HGs referring to the fact that it ISN’T just a game for them, but it’s life. They’re locked in a house with all these people and every action is scrutinized by the public. Ya, they know it all when they sign on for the show (some more than others), but things always take a personal turn. It’s one thing to attack someone’s character based on your experience with them; it’s another to attack someone’s family/friends that you’ve never even met. I don’t agree with anyone’s attacks on family/friends outside the house, but I also think it’s inevitable.
I was originally a Dick fan (and a Jen hater). I felt that Jen was an instigator, and she provoked a lot of what she received. I thought the iced tea thing was a riot! But when the attacks started on almost everyone else (after Nick’s eviction I believe), and he was spoiling my live feed watching because I had to keep changing feeds to go where he wasn’t, I started not liking him. And after the POV on Saturday, when D&D sat and conspired about how they could discredit Zach with the hopes of getting him fired from his real-life job by calling him a racist and saying that he was dropping the “N” word when he would talk about Jameka, it kinda made me sad. I really hope that the amount of hatred that they are currently displaying is a result of the stress of the game and not how they act towards people in real life.

I can definitely say I hate Dick and I will not be happy if he wins this game. I think he’s a jerk and a bully. As for his word and being honest? Um Jessica and Eric in the final 4? Yeah, Dick no more honest than anyone else in this game, same goes for Danielle. Remember when she promised not to send Kail home? She did!

The thing about this show just like American Idol is every year people will hate certain people on the show and love others. If your favorite wins you will love the show and if not people get angry and say their not going to watch next time. The reality is most people do watch the next time, ratings reflect that. My favorite person hasn’t won BB since Drew and before that it was Will. This year I have to say I haven’t felt a strong pull to anyone because they all are irritating in their own special ways. But I will watch next year and hope it’s better.

Staceylyn you put that perfectly! And I agree about the Drew thing…he was the last time my favorite won. I think that season was also the last time my opinions about some of the HGs didn’t change from week to week haha.
I plan on watching next year…I love this show. I just really really really hope they do a few things differently…like have a house full of ALL STRANGERS, throw more twists (this year’s 2 happened on day 1 and that was it), and stop casting model/actor wannabes!

This has to be the worst season of Big Brother yet…..the casting was lacking a bit. I am also sick of the model/actor wannabee….its very rare someone makes it big after a reality show. The Big Brother in the UK is way more entertaining because its all based on fan votes. Plus when houseguests are evicted they have a montage of all their best moments in the house.

I read somewhere that Nick and Zach were actually auditioning for Survivor and were taken for BB instead. I think this came out of Zach’s mouth, but I’m not 100% sure.
I know for ratings purposes they want a certain “type” in the house…the hot blondes, the studs, the pot-stirrer, the “momma”, etc…BUT you can get these qualities by casting everyday people and not trying to find someone to fit that role and then editing the crap out of them to make them fit what they want.

I have no problem with religion and and being godly and having faith. But wow do you have to go so overboard with it. I can have a closeness with G-d no matter where I am or what I am doing but I also have free will and know that is one of the great gifts that G-d gave me. I can make intelligent or not so intelligent decisions and take responsibility for both of them without blaming or crediting G-d for them. Isnt that part of being human and having faith in yourself and in G-d.
Amber was a fake want-to-be and if it was Dick’s alliance she was one would probably worship the devil to be like him. Jameka with her crap about everything is predetermined and G-d has already decided the outcome of who is going to win is such crap. So why do anything. I am glad her G-d doesnt have better things to do than to decide who will win BB8. I also believe it is super hypocritical of Jameka to talk about Dani’s faith or ED for that matter or anybody, when isnt G-d about not judging ad loving your neighbor no matter what they believe.
Guess what I dont need a Jesus freak I need those jesus freaks to believe whatever it is they want to and keep it to themselves.

I just called CBS and you need to ask for Allison Grodner office and I talk to her sectary, Allison is in a meeting right now. [time here in 3:20 PM. I told her that I have watched from season 1 and this year is nothing like the others. I told her what all Dick has done with the women and the pouring of the tea and that in season two that Justin got called in for treating the women and that Dick has done the same thing this year and nothing happened to him, oh yea he was told once to calm down but that did not stop him and the pouring of the tea was an attack on Jen. I knew that Jen broke the rule and got a penalty vote and I would like to know why Dick has not gotten one. That he stood outside talking to Daniele saying that he and his son set out to cheat at the game and Dick laughed at the camera letting BB and CBS that he had done this and thought that it was funny so again why has nothing been done to him. I told her that I knew there were hundreds just like me on the messages boards. That after this season we will not watch anymore if Dick get away with cheating not to mention the other things that he has done. She said that she could not tell me anything that it was the press department that need to do that but she could tell me that they are looking into this. She also said that they needed more to call in and thanked me for calling. So, please call in at 1-818-655-5000 and ask for Allison Grodner office and you can also go to the bottom of the first page and read the small writhing and go to feed back and put in your complaint. OMG!!! They aren’t even going to show that the fact Dick cheated. Whether or not they he was able to use the info it should still be addressed. UGHHHHHHH. So Jen went to the jury. I wonder why Eric wasn’t able to reveal to the Jury that he was AP. I can only assume we get vote for the winner.

We do get to vote. If you go to the AP part of the CBS BB website it says we get to vote for who he votes for.

I was disappointed that Dick got away with cheating. they didnteven address it they can’t punish future contestants since they didnt’ punish him and he’s an idiot for thinking that if zach gets into the final 2 he would lose to either dick or danielle. I think Zach will win the whole game if he goes to final two. I sure hope so and I haven’t been a zach fan at all. Danielle wont be winning this first round. She won’t last long at all with the water. I’d be surprised if she last 1 hour she was freezing!!

Ya know, sometimes I think BB thinks that its viewers are morons. There are so many times where I’ve watched an episode and have seen a scene that I saw happen live on the feeds, and they edit things so much that it’s like it was a different conversation that happened. I think they gloss over things and pretend they never happened when in reality most viewers (unless you are anti-spoiler/feed) know did happen.
I am SO tired and part of me wants to go to bed…but I really want to watch this endurance comp too. The feeds can come back up any day now! I also think Dani is going to have a hard time with the water/cold…I’m surprised she wasn’t dressed warmer. And Dick…the way he smokes like a chimney his lung capacity for physical stuff must not be too great. GO ZACH!!!
And based on most of the Jury members’ reactions to what was going on, I don’t see them awarding Dick or Dani a vote…at least right now I don’t see it happening. But anything can change when they do the Q&A with the F2.

She was already cold before it went off. I heard her say she was cold. I also think she will be the 1st, then Dick because of his smoking. After this is said over with and J & Z find out he cheated and BB didn’t do anything about. Could they seek so of legal action? I think Jen should be able too. All she did was eat. To me this cheating should have more consequences than eating.

BB is DEFINITELY NOT playing favorites with this HoH comp. Dani HATES getting wet…and Dick’s sore shoulder isn’t going to be getting much of a rest.

I am completely appauled that Dick’s cheating was not even addressed. If you ask me, I thinkthey should have kicked him out of the house the second he admitted to setting up and reciving secret codes. It does not matter one bit if the information came at time that was useful or not. Cheating is cheating! CBS just gave the green light for all future contestants to cheat and get away with it.

yes they had rain coming down at teh end of the eposode pretty hard. They were all soaked but dani looked like she was drenched in water. She looked like she was going to quit at any second. and as for April I would think they could sue Jameka and win. I think if they took action even with a pentaly vote against him that Zach would of voted Evil out. I thought also that the power of veto this time around was only to be used on the person who won it or not to be used at all. Am I just dreaming about that? Dani used it to save her father.

I also thought they could only use it on themselves maybe we dreamed it. But D&D get away with everything even if we see so I guess it soesn’t matter. Why could they sue Jameka? If I was one of the players and found out they cheated whether it effected me or not I would want something done.
It appears that some fans upset that Z has on a hat and tshirt. This is all at cbs.com message board. I guess Z isn’t as dumb as D&D thought. LOL

People are upset because Zach dressed appropriately? Give me a break (not you…the people who are complaining over there haha). I know its been rather hot out there (they’ve been complaining a lot about the heat) so maybe that’s why they dressed lightly.
I had mentioned them only being able to use it on themselves. At some point over the weekend (before the veto comp) Dick came out of the DR and said that he asked and was told they’d only be allowed to use it on themselves. He must have been lying…which makes sense…anything to get the others to think they don’t need to win it.

Jamie - my guess is that the Donato lovers over on the CBS board are thinking zach has an advantage because D&D are not wearing a whole lot (tanks, no hat, etc).
They need to get over it. They tell them to dress comfy for endurance comps…they made their clothing choices and now they have to deal with them.

Because his hat will keep rain out of his eyes and shirt is to keep him warmer. I see the hat not the shirt because it will get wetand be cold. D&D r wearing tank tops. Also earlier in the week they were talking about wearing hats but I guess they forgot. But the people over r rude with 1 another, so they r going back n forth on if it is an advantage. D&D only advantages if only applies 2 them.

They are all still going from what I can see. My feeds are acting up and not giving me a continuous stream.
It looks foggier in the backyard…like they are piping in smoke or something.
A few minutes ago it cut to trivia and then back…usually they do that when someone is out, but unfortunately they’re all still there.

Who know what God’s plan is for Jameka. For us that believe in God he is always there. He may not answer our prayers the way we want but that doesn’t mean he is not on our side. He may have a better plan for Jameka. I believe that she has said that time and time before that it is God’s will.

This HOH competition is boring. If Zach wins he needs to send danielle home because that would hurt Dick worse than being sent himself. However, I believe a donato deserves to win cause Zach hasn’t done much to deserve ANY cash prize whether it be $500,000 or $50,000. GO Donatos!
