Dancing With The Stars Premier
So last night was the big “Dancing With The Stars” premier on ABC. I don’t know, this time around I just don’t feel as connected to the stars. I mean the only ones I can say I really have watched are Jennie Garth (90210) and Jane Seymour (Dr. Quinn). I know who Scary Spice, Marie Osmond and Cameron Mathison are though. Most of the others I haven’t a clue who they are. A model? A “Cheetah Girl.” A football team owner !?! When I don’t know the stars, it kinda makes it hard to pick one I like a lot and hope they make it to the end. What did some of you out there think? I still have the final 1/2 hour on tape to watch myself.
I thought last night on Dancing with the Stars was by far the best ever. I was a thinking it was going to be lame since I didn’t know many of the stars but it turned out it was the best first show. Usually when the stars take the stage they suck and we can see their improvement throughout the season, but I think so far there are some great dancers and I can’t wait to see them improve. Sabrina, the Cheetah Girl, was awesome! I see her as the next Joey Fatone (but hopefully the winner!). Maybe the guys will do great tonight too, but so far I am loving this season.

I totally agree with you, Dustin. I don’t know who any of the guys are, except Wayne Newton. I didn’t know Apollo was from last season, but I rooted for him for most of the season because I felt like I got to know him. I will watch a little more before I give up. The quality of the dancing seems to be good, though!

For some reason, I really like Jeannie Garth, and I never watched 90210. Sabrina (the Cheetah Girl) was pretty amazing. I haven’t seen the men dance yet, but it looks like it could be an interesting season overall.

I’ve already gone into who I like around 20 times at 20 different forums, so I’ll spare you, but I have to say…
…I know it is stupid to complain about reality TV being unfair, but I just think it is horribly unfair that people with dancing experience are allowed on this show!
Scary Spice: Hello?! She was a Spice Girl! She has tons of experience!
Sabrina: CHEETAH GIRL! MORE EXPERIENCE!
Marie Osmond and Jane Seymour: Okay, so it’s been a couple of decades (since 18 for Jane), but they still have experience in dance!
I could go on and on. I felt this way last year, too. I was going to boycott the show forever if Joey had won: *N’SYNC was DANCE HEAVY in their day! It was just unfair for people who have never danced a step in their life to compete against people who ARE celebrities FOR dancing!

Um…He’s a BASKETBALL team owner…and he owns the most amazing team ever! The Dallas Mavs! He is one of the only owners who is at every game AND sits in the stands with the fans…

I agree with you! I know who the Cheetah girl is as well as Jennie, Jane Seymore, Marie Osmond and Wayne Newton but that’s about it.
It’s almost embarrasing that some of those people are considered “stars”.
