im not sympathetic to anyone anymore. both sides are not making concessions and it's just a stupid situation. everyone deserves their piece of the pie, but at what cost? obviously, to the studios and writers, that means the people like make up artists and assistants, lighting people, they should be without jobs too. and it's not like those people can go get jobs elsewhere, the entire industry is shut down. Even a payroll company was shutdown because of this stupid strike. Settle it already. I don't even care about my tv programs. i care about my sister's friend who got laid off because the show she was working on had everyone walk off set and get shut down, and there wasn't really a christmas for her kids.

You know, I’m not unsympathetic to the writers; they deserve a fair share of the billions they help generate for Hollywood. But, really, do they need writers for these awards shows? Just run it like a big dinner party, with one person as the host to open the cards and hand out the awards. How can I live vicariously through movie stars if I don’t get to see them in their fancy dresses!! (-:
