I didn't get into watching this right away but caught up last week. I was surprised at how quickly I liked this one. The characters are a good blend of funny and serious, without necessarily being as crude as the SitC gals were ... er, Miranda, I should say. This show paints a broader picture than just the women, and has a good vibe. I hadn't heard until this week about Lipstick Jungle. Not sure if I'm going to give that one a whirl -- the commercial didn't look that appealing. But it's gotta suck coming out of the gate second for NBC... At this point we have no reason to like her husband or family, so the stressed working mom just annoys me, either you have it all and deal with the stress and being pulled in multi directions or just start making sacrifices. Love Mia though and her parents had me almost peeing myself. Love the show, but personally the over-worked mother who wants and can have it all character type is just a bit to rigid for my liking.
