The Desperate Houswives Season Finale Cliffhanger(s)
So unlike “Private Practice” and “Grey’s” we weren’t left with an unhappy cliffhanger per say, but we were left with one.
Dave was unable to go through with his plan to kill MJ. He had a major breakdown before completing it. Mike, who ran to try and save MJ and Susan, was reunited with his family . . . and he kissed Susan!
The show ended with a wedding, Mike was getting married and kissed his bride, but we never saw his bride. Did he marry Katherine, who he was about to elope with but ditched to save Susan and MJ . . . or did he marry Susan?
I don’t know. Through the whole episode they dropped hints that Mike wasn’t over Susan, that he wanted her back. It was a lot of hints, even Jackson and Katherine basically said it out loud. Too many hints? I wouldn’t be shocked if it was Katherine he did marry.
Other bombs dropped . . . . Tom was excited about going to go back to school when Lynette revealed she was pregnant . . . with twins AGAIN! Oh lord, the last thing they need is two more babies. Frankly Tom has been a big baby all season. Oh and can I just say . . . Chinese? I mean if he was going back to get a Masters or Doctorate I could understand. However it seems he just wants another B.A. and to party and feel alive on campus again. Chinese? What is he going to do with that degree?
Orson and Bree apparently haven’t gotten divorced, and he’s getting really nutty. Bree it seems is having a thing with Karl on the side. Oh next season if Orson finds out, I expect him to really snap.
Gabby and Carlos took in Carlos’ teenage niece, who apparently is a teenage whore. I really don’t get this one at all. This screams later episodes of “The Cosby Show” when cousin Pam came to live with them. It didn’t work then, I’m afraid it won’t work now.
Of course Dave didn’t die, he is back in the insane asylum. Which of course means he’s free to escape at some point in the future.
I was wondering if they brought the teenage niece i so that the older twins might have a bigger role or to cause havoc on a couple (possible affair?), I would prefer twins to be honest, and although I think she is pretty I don’t think she’s out of your mind do anything I ask pretty.
I think that Mike will have married Susan especially with the comment he wasn;t sure he was doing the right thing (that made me think Katherine) but I think they threw that in to confuse us

I thought he was in the nut house now/again. I don’t think it was 3 years ago, that was just to show the accident. Not sure though. Here is my thought though…I thought it was said that a character from season 1/2 was suppose to show up during the last 5 mins!!!! Did I miss something? People thought it might be John the gardner. It would have been funny if that was one of the cousins sugar daddy’s!! LOL! Anyway, was someone at the wedding that we haven’t seen in awhile, or was that a pure rumor??

I haven’t watched much this year, but I’m just not feeling Susan’s motherly love for MJ for some reason. Maybe because she has an older daughter, so I’m not used to seeing her love a little boy?? I don’t know, just not getting “good actress” from watching Teri Hatcher. The whole mystery bride thing too, that won’t be Susan, that would be too predictable really and this show is anything but that! If it IS her, then next season they may make Katherine the villianess of the season. They usually allude to the mystery/problem of the next season in the finale, so that could be the way it goes. It was a good finale though, I’m glad they didn’t leave us hanging with Susan watching the cars smash each other and not finding out about MJ. It was nice to see a show not leave us in jaw dropping cliffhanger!

my only theory is why would Karl (susans ex husband) be at Mike and Katherines wedding, I see him being invited to Susan’s wedding but not Katherines. That is my only speculation of why I think Mike married Susan.

I hate the idea of Lynette being pregnant again…esp. with twins. It seems completely unreal, not to mention, does this mean she will have to quit her job and have Tom be the breadwinner again? I also don’t think he is prepared for more children…although maybe this will make him feel “young” again…

I don’t know if I would say it was Susan marrying Mike at the end because Karl was there. Susan does just about everything to keep Karl away from her, so it wouldn’t make sense for him to be there. I am thinking it will be Katharine that he married because it was 2 months later and I am sure something else would come between Susan and Mike for them to marry. Overall good episode, is next season the series finale?? I really can’t see how they could continue the series too much longer.

Wasn’t Karl in the band? So that might have been why he was there….
Personally I am hoping for Susan to be who it was he married. I think the crash will be what made them reconnect, Mike did love Susan or he wouldn’t have reacted like he did to the first call that as Katherine pointed out to him….
Though thee joker is he could have married someone else entirely, with Karl only there to toture Bree

Karl wasn’t in the band, and he wouldn’t be there to see Mike get married to Kath….I think Susan would love for Karl to see her marry the love of her life and show him how great her life has turned out to be. Didn’t he give her a hard time about the divorce and such….so why not show off? Really tho…I think Karl was just there to show the ongoing relationship between him and Bree. For me, I hope Kath goes off to be near her daughter, I don’t like her too much, esp. the way she tried to trap Mike into a marriage he really didn’t want. He only asked her to get hitched because he thought Susan was all into Jackson.

Maybe there was another time leap and Mike married Julie! That would explain Karl being there. Not likely though. Or maybe it was all in Dave’s head.

Karl lives in their neighborhood and his kid is in the same class as Mike’s son. Karl’s son was playing with MJ in the last episode they were in with no problems. Katherine has no problem with him and knew him from her first time living on there. It seems to me it would be rude to be that familiar with a neighbor and NOT invite them to your wedding.

I didn’t think Karl’s presence was a clue to who was being married, but agree with the earlier comment that it was to show he and Bree were having an affair. That’s what I thought of immediatly

I thought Tom was going back to get a degree in chinese because China was becoming a huge market – someone with his marketing experience who could speak chinese would be something unique and really give him an edge.

i do think Karl was there because it was susan’s wedding…didn’t they resolve some issues this season, and they were on pretty good terms.
and even if the point of showing Karl near Bree was to show their ongoing relationship…i highly doubt Bree would invite her lawyer to a friend’s wedding (if it was Katherine’s)…and where was Karl’s son anyway?

I thought the woman under the veil looked like Susan, but it probably was an extra filming that scene. I read that even the writers don’t know who is getting married!

Why would Susan and Mike have a big elaborate church wedding? That’s not their style, they didn’t even do that the first time around from what I remember.
