Desperate Housewives: Sympathy For A Killer?
I really don’t have much to comment on last nights “Desperate Housewives” other than to say that I was not a fan of this episode at all. It seemed as if they wanted us to not only feel sorry for Eddie, but blame all the women for him becoming a killer. Yeah he had a rotten child hood, yeah he was used and abused, but I’m not going to excuse him going around killing people because of it!
We did learn that he attacked Julie not knowing who she was. It seemed like he thought she was Susan, who was his target after she was going to remarry Mike, much to Eddie’s dismay (just another woman he fell for and was rejected).
The show ended with Eddie moving in with Lynette, who felt his home life was too terrible. Little does she know he had just killed his mother, who found out he was killing all these women.
Bleck, no I will not feel sorry for Eddie!
I agree, not the greatest, but I don’t think they wanted us to feel sorry for him, just understand why. I think because they sort of just dropped him in our laps, they felt they had to validate it somehow, but waste an entire episode on it? Let’s get back to Angie and Patrick!

I agree, I don’t think they wanted us to be sorry for him. Just to know his back story and how a kid could turn into such a monster.

I kept yelling at the TV the minute it started cause Mary Alice should have nipped this in the BUTT when he was a child. If my neighbor left her 4 year old to go out drinking, I would have called social services in a heart beat. Makes me feel like this could have all been avoided!! SOOOOOO, by the end I did fell sorry for him!! I think he should pay for want hes done, but still…..
