Desperate Housewives Season Finale: Paul Young And A Baby Swap?

Desperate Housewives Season Finale: Paul Young And A Baby Swap?

Posted by Dustin on 05.17.2010 at 8:19 pm

An amazing season finale to “Desperate Housewives” I must say. So many questions for next season, such a long wait!

A nurse at a hospital confessed something terrible to a priest. It looks like there was a baby switch (or several) going on . . . . and one of the couples involved lived on Wisteria Lane! Unfortunately we don’t know who the couple or baby is. Grrrr! There were some clues, which I’ll point out as I go through my other thoughts.

Bree signed her company over to Sam to protect Andrew, but lost Orson in the processes. He reminded her that she made him go to jail for what he did to Mike, but did not expect the same from Andrew, who ever offered to confess. He walked out on her at the end. She then realized she had to tell Gabby the truth, which she prepared to do.

As she signed over her company to Sam, she warned him she felt he would live a very unhappy life. He’d probably never have the family he sought, which she offered him, or anyone who truly cared about him. In light of the baby switch, a very telling statement wasn’t it? Could Andrew and Sam have been switched? It might make sense, if someone close to Sam’s mom or Rex had it out for her or Rex in some way?

Gabby helped Angie deal with Patrick. Angie built Patrick his bomb, which he placed in her house where Tyler was held hostage. Patrick truly was twisted, later daring Angie to run and save their son before he detonated the bomb. In the end the joke was on him, as she put the bomb in the detonator, and sent Patrick sky high in his car! Angie and Nick decided to leave, still on the run, but sent Tyler/Danny to New York to have a real life with his grandma and Carlos’ niece Anna. I really wish Angie and Nick could have stuck around. They were a great addition to the show. Anna however can just remain gone. I never liked her at all.

Lynette had to deliver her baby with Crazy Eddie’s help. She convinced him, in the end, to turn himself in. I was worried her was going to run off with her baby.

Mike and Susan had to sell their house and much of their stuff in order to pay off the IRS. At the end as they drove away, someone bought their house. It was Paul Young! Oh lord, what is he doing back? I can’t help but worry he also might be involved or part of the baby switch. Susan always HATED Zack Young, what if Zack and Julie were the babies switched? There has to be a reason Paul is back.

Brothers And Sisters Car Crash Finale

Brothers And Sisters Car Crash Finale

Posted by Dustin on 05.17.2010 at 7:58 pm

So last night was the big “Brothers and Sisters” finale. It was fairly slow up until the end, where we were left with huge questions.

Throughout the episode Kitty realized someone close to her was leaking info to ultra-right wing groups trying to bring her down. She never found out who (unless I missed this).

Saul realized he needed to be tested for HIV, as one (or more) of his former lovers recently died of it. He figured he lived this long, he must have been okay.

Rebecca and Justin agreed on a separation, but a work induced one. She will take her new job and he’ll go to Haiti for the year.

Nora paid for more tests and drilling at Narrow Lake only to discover an aquifer, a natural source of water that California was in great need of and would pay much for. They were now in the water business, Ojai is saved!

In the final moments, everyone was in various cars coming from various places when tragedy struck on the highway. Robert and Kitty’s car was the first to be hit by an out of control tractor trailer, which took out many other cars.

A lot of people were left in the balance as the show ended . . . .

-Robert it appears is dead from the accident. The actor is off the show, so it’s possible this is how he’s gone (earlier reports indicated Rob Lowe asked not to be killed off though).
– Saul was injured and warned Kevin not to touch him, it looks like he has HIV or possibly full blown AIDS, we don’t know.
– Holly was unconscious and in bad condition, with Justin rushing to try and save her.

Word is next season will pick up almost a year later. This would make sense, allowing Ojai to recoup (but not having to watch that) and whizzing through Justin and Rebecca’s separation (maybe advancing Justin to a doctor already). We’d also see Scotty’s restaurant up and running, but where would Saul be? Kitty could be in office, with Kevin possibly working for her?

It’s gunna be a looooong wait to find out how this works out. “Brothers and Sisters” tends to be good at these cliff hanger finales though. They’ve done this before!

Ghost Whisperer And Medium: Catching Up With The Psychics

Ghost Whisperer And Medium: Catching Up With The Psychics

Posted by Dustin on 05.17.2010 at 7:45 pm

It’s been a long long time since I blogged about “Ghost Whisperer” or “Medium.” While I’ve been enjoying the later, I can’t say the same for “Ghost Whisperer.” The events of last season, the Jim/Sam stuff and then the jump with Aiden, have in part screwed up a lot of the show I feel.

I wanted more storyline arcs from the show, more cohesion. What we got was Aiden and the Shineys and Shadows thrown in every now and then, usually in the final five minutes. Unless I missed an episode, or they intend to rectify it in the finale, did they ever at all resolve half the ghosts at the hospital they introduced and just left us with?

Now as the finale approaches, we have Melinda and Jim pondering trying to convince Aiden that the ghosts he sees aren’t real. This might break his ability, so they think, as it’s how most kids grow out of seeing ghosts. Most kid’s ghosts don’t try and kill them though!

Speaking of the finale, did anyone think both “Ghost Whisperer” and “Medium” seem to have an eerily similar concept in store next week?

A pick-up for both “Medium” and “Ghost Whisperer” for another season looks good. The failing ratings for “GW” might mean it’s a final season. “Gary Unmarried” meanwhile might not be coming back. We can only hope that means sending Jay Mohr/Payne back. I feel that would really revitalize the show!

On “Medium” I’ve really loved some of the interesting shows they’ve been doing, like the one that focused on Ariel recently. Also the storyline arc with Joe and his job were great, with his boss getting the boot and him taking over.

I loved this last episode with Marie stealing Joe’s old toys, but as a toy collector had a bone to pick with that comic shop guy. He told Joe that the toys were “Very Fine” condition, but after Marie took them they were not as well preserved, so he couldn’t sell them for as much as he once could. In what world is someone’s name written on the backs of toys in red nail polish considered “Very Fine” condition. I think not!

NBC will also broadcast a 35th anniversary “Saturday Night Live” special that will celebrate the iconic late-night series’ long and eventful run on NBC since 1975.

The announcements were made by Jeff Gaspin, Chairman, NBC Universal Television Entertainment, and Angela Bromstad, President, Primetime Entertainment, NBC and Universal Media Studios.

“This new schedule brings NBC back to basics with its commitment to quality scripted programming,” said Gaspin. “Our new shows are distinctive and feature a combination of the biggest talent, the brightest new stars and the strongest auspices in television. With this new schedule, we’re poised to take the next step toward our long-term goals with a lineup that has stabilized and has been building solid momentum through the second half of the season.”

Only One Episode of V Left!

Only One Episode of V Left!

Posted by Dustin on 05.15.2010 at 5:28 pm

So we have only one episode of “V” left next week. I guess it’s a good thing the show has unofficially been given a second 13 episode season! Otherwise I think we’d have a lot of unanswered questions. The official details should come this coming week.

Lisa has found herself in love with Tyler and leaning more towards Joshua and the 5th column. However after Anna’s staged attack on Lisa, Tyler is probably out for blood. Why do I see him trying to attack 5th column and ending up hurting Lisa or his mom?

Val returns for the finale, having gone into labor at the very end of this last episode. I wanna see that baby!

I’m annoyed with Chad’s character again. It seems he knows Anna is using him, but he’s using her too for his career. Right now it seems he’s just her little media bitch. I hope he smartens up before the end of next week’s show.

We learned why Hobbes is wanted by the Vs, he was assigned to kill a scientist who, along with others, basically developed a toxin that could kill the Vs. Yup just like the original. I am annoyed though that they had Hobbes turn on the 5th column and offer to sell the information he stole back to Marcus/the Vs. Of course the best twist would be to have Marcus part of the 5th column as well!

No More Holding Out For Heroes

Posted by Dustin on 05.14.2010 at 8:41 pm

All the major entertainment sites have been tweeting and reporting in the last hour … It is official, “Heroes” is no more. I don’t think it’s a real shock to anyone honestly. The show had gotten pretty bad, and it seemed like several of the stars wanted out, had left or had bigger things on the horizon.

So long “Heroes,” I guess we’ll never know what happened to you all after Claire outed you to the world.

Private Practice Season Finale: And The Unlucky One Is …..

Private Practice Season Finale: And The Unlucky One Is …..

Posted by Dustin on 05.13.2010 at 11:01 pm

Spoilers in here if you are not on the East Coast!

No big shock, Dell died from brain injuries received in the accident. Betsy will be going to live with an Aunt.

Not only is Dell a goner, but William left to basically go die at his daughter’s home, telling Fife who had to tell Naomi.

Naomi forgave Addison for the Sam thing, even giving them her blessing. It seems this was all she needed to tell Pete that she knew he wanted Violet, and because Violet held it together through the whole show she felt Violet was ready to be a mom and be with him.

Okay so which I am glad Pete is back with Violet, I can’t stand that it basically seemed the minute Naomi gave Addison permission to see Sam, she dumped Pete for Sam. Bleck and boo! Then she complained to Sheldon that just like him, she also felt she was always second choice. What what what!

Cooper proposed to Charlotte, who said yes. But after the day and Dell he took the ring back and said they would do this again tomorrow, this isn’t how they should remember this day.

So am I shocked? No, Dell was a logical choice. I do think they killed him for drama, they could have just written him out for med school. Personally I think they should have done that, then they could bring him back later on if they needed to. Various reports thought said the actor wanted to go.

Happy Town: Lost in Haplin

Happy Town: Lost in Haplin

Posted by Dustin on 05.13.2010 at 9:54 pm

So after last night’s episode, “Happy Town” is off the air until June 2nd. That gives me time to rewatch the first 3 episodes again and take notes. I have to say I am fairly lost, and there must be a million little clues I am missing.

I feel like there are too many stories going on right now and I am not sure where they are going. The rich boy loves poor girl and their families hate each other story I could do without. I hope it’s going somewhere, because it’s getting way more attention than some of the stories I would like to see more of. I do however love Francis Conroy as Mrs Haplin. She rocks.

I wanna see more of Sheriff one hand and learn about Chloe, who apparently hooked up with the Stifelletos murderer brother, who is now out of jail and stole the bird she stole from the third floor? I want to know what is going on there. I wanna know what the statue means. The Magic Man has a pet bird it seems, a connection? Maybe the Magic Man is the group of old women all working together lol!

Also what is up with Georgia’s trances? Why is she having them?

Merritt is just creepy. Who is he and what does he want? The previews say he’s basically obsessed wit the Magic Man.

The show ended with a fairly big cliffhanger, Tommy’s wife seems to have been taken by the Magic Man, who is back.

Like I said, I feel I need to rewatch and take some notes, maybe make some diagrams too.
