90210: Naomi The Outcast

Posted by Dustin on 09.22.2010 at 5:48 pm

I’m trying to remember all that happened on “90210” to post some thoughts πŸ™‚

As expected, Noami’s behavior has cost her all her friends, and even when trying to warn Silver about the rapist teacher, Silver thought she was just a horrible liar.

Both Dixon and Annie found themselves on the outs with those they love. Ivy got annoyed with Dixon going out with the guys and apparently doing body shots off some girl. I liked Ivy last year a lot, now not so much. I think she is making issues with Dixon because in fact she has the hots for that Aussie guy. When she finds out Mommy is banging him though, she might be changing her mind.

Annie meanwhile got upset with Liam, who stole a boat to go sailing with and lied to her, saying he was boat sitting. Stupid thing to do, as it was too much like Jasper for Annie. I don’t know why they have to ruin Liam and Annie after working all this time to get them together. Now they bring in some mysterious half-brother of Liam’s and have Annie fall for him? Oh brother!

Next week it looks like Arianna will perhaps be “haunted” by Javier, as she has to sing a song she stole from him at his memorial. Oh dear!

I’m still waiting for Teddy’s coming out too πŸ™‚ I just wanna see how they are going to handle it and make it somehow believable as it’s such a turn-around for the character.

Dancing With The Stars Season 11 Thoughts

Dancing With The Stars Season 11 Thoughts

Posted by Dustin on 09.22.2010 at 5:38 pm

Just some quick thoughts on the first week of “Dancing With The Stars.”

So far I am enjoying it. Because of Heroes and other shows that ended up on Monday nights, I was always torn. That and seeing the people I tuned in for sent home week one always turned me off the show. I feared that would happen this year too, but fortunately it didn’t.

For sure there are some clunkers. The Hoff was rightly sent home, he was horrible. I was surprised though as he is also popular. I thought he’d be there for awhile. I guess ABC made voting German proof πŸ™‚

Michael Bolton and “The Situation” probably need to go next. Unfortunately “The Situation” I fear will be on the show for awhile just because “Jersey Shore” fans will rabidly vote for him.

Jennifer Grey of course seems to be the stand-out favorite right now, but that can always change! Her breakdown though was a tear jerker.

I was afraid Margaret Cho would be sent home after her first dance. She’s one of the main reasons I tuned in, so as usual I was expecting her to be axed. Hopefully she won’t pull the comedy schtick next week and do a serious dance. I don’t, however, expect her to win. But hey who knows. The girl that played Tracy Turnblad surprised everyone and made it to the finals!

The kid from the Disney Channel show I was afraid would be axed last night simply because I didn’t think he’d have the fan base to keep him. That has happened in the past with good dancers. No fan base to vote meant they went home when they deserved to stay over others.

Anyway, those are my thoughts!

Glee Season 2 Premier Thoughts

Glee Season 2 Premier Thoughts

Posted by Dustin on 09.21.2010 at 9:20 pm

So I just watched “Glee’s” second season premier. It’s so good to have it back! Now onto some quick thoughts . . . .

I actually REALLY love the new football coach Coach Beastie. I loved the whole message of the episode, with Will realizing he had joined Sue in making her feel like Sue made him feel last year, and that he was wrong to do so.

I didn’t like Finn getting the boot from the Football team, and Quinn returning as the Head Cheerio. I think I was more annoyed by Quinn. I am hoping she doesn’t return to who she used to be now that she’s back on top . . . . Finn however was in part always a loser and realized that from the first episode (as he said the whole town is full of people who can’t get out), so his fall isn’t so great. He won’t let this go to his head as much as Quinn will I fear.

Rachel’s jealousy costing them the magnificent vocals of Sunshine, who defected to Vocal Adrenaline, sucked. At the same time her jealousy issues were bound to become a problem, so perhaps it’s best they deal with it up front. Maybe it will mean less solos for Rachel and more fronting from some of the other females this season. Oh and I loved seeing Cheyenne Jackson swoop in at the end. I can’t wait till they give him a song to sing.

I am not a fan of Tina dating Mike Change and ditching Artie, but I guess we’ll have to see how things go.

The Puckster didn’t get much play in this episode, aside from smelling his own sweat. Yuck!

Brittany of course remains the show stealer . . . . Stop The Violence!

The Gates Season/Series? Finale

The Gates Season/Series? Finale

Posted by Dustin on 09.20.2010 at 1:07 pm

So last night ABC aired two back to back episodes for a “Gates” season finale. ABC has yet to renew it, so it was probably the series finale unless they decide to give shows more than one shot to pick up steam.

The finale dealt with Frank deciding he was getting older than Vanessa, and he wanted her to turn him into a Vampire. A jealous Devon put a plan into motion, using a tea-addict Sarah to poison Frank’s blood. When Vanessa bit him, she shriveled and died! Frank’s blood became an anti-vampire syrum, and then the Wolves were after him for his blood. Left alone, Frank seemingly shot himself.

Devon was caught as Vanessa’s killer. Because she used Claire’s blood in her potion, it meant Claire and Dylan could be in trouble with the council. They wanted to find her before the others did and Devon talked.

Brett was jealous of Andie dating Charlie again, so he watered her medicine down. However when Andie and Charlie ran away, he realized they had to get to them before something bad happened. Of course it did, and Charlie was sucked to the point of death. Dr. Peg said Devon was the only one who could save him. However it would be through the dark arts . . . and there was always a price.

The Chief got to Devon in time, and Claire and Dylan dealt with the other vampires to buy him time. Devon did save Charlie . . . but there was a price! As Claire and Dylan came to kill Devon, Charlie showed up with glowing red eyes and demonic like powers. Devon said she brought him back . . . she never said he’d be the same!

Andy, upset over what happened, ran away from the Gates.

We also learned what officer Leigh was after so many weeks. Well kind of. The other guy who always had a crush on her, he began snooping into her life and found her box. Inside was her heart! Leigh said she fell in love with a boy as a kid. When she broke it off, he used Voodoo to take her heart out so she could never love again. The other guy then told her someone had been calling the station looking for an Isabella Armond. That’s Leigh’s real name . . . it seems her old boyfriend knows where she is!

So we were left with some questions answered, but a lot of new questions!

Did Frank really shoot himself, or did someone else? Is he even dead? Vanessa did bite him. Maybe he staged his death?

What exactly is Leigh? A walking corpse? My guess is she’s a zombie.

And what is Charlie now? A demon? Or did Devon make herself a protector to keep the Radcliffes from being able to kill her?

The Winner of Big Brother 12 Is . . . .

The Winner of Big Brother 12 Is . . . .

So Hayden won the final HOH, in a tie breaker actually. Both he and Lane got all the answers on par with each other. It was the normal A/B question/answer asked of each of the jury members and you have to predict how they’d answer.

Hayden chose to take Lane with him to the end. The jury had a hard choice. They felt all three skated to the end with a social game. While Hayden won the most comps, Branden made a good point that neither was a target and it should be the social game they are judged on.

Ragan felt it was not far to give it to Lane for planing a good game and being nice to everyone. I chuckled, as he told Rachel the exact opposite not to long ago! That the reason she was out was she played a horrible social game and was mean to everyone.

The second saboteur was revealed to be Ragan, who not only won 20K, but was America’s choice. Nobody in the cast thought it was Ragan when asked!

Annie the original saboteur revealed her first reveal was a lie. There were no lifelong friends!

Anyways, the Jury voted and in the end Hayden barely won by one vote. Here are how the votes played out . . .

Lane – Rachel, Brendan, Britney.
Hayden – Kathy, Matt, Ragan, Enzo.

The final prize for America’s favorite cast member went to Britney.

Parenthood Season 2 Premier Thoughts + Spoilers

Parenthood Season 2 Premier Thoughts + Spoilers

Posted by Dustin on 09.15.2010 at 5:32 pm

So “Parenthood” came back last night. I liked it, I don’t know if I loved it.

I was annoyed that Jasmine and Crosby were living apart with no explanation. In the finale he was ready to go off and live with them, now they are long distance.

I loved the idea of Sarah going to work with Adam, but again . . . what happened to plans to go to college? It seems like a lot of ideas from last years finale were just dumped. Also perhaps I missed it, but where did her kids go! They are still in the opening credits, but weren’t in the episode.

I liked learning more about Joel’s background as a contracter and why he was the stay at home parent (because of the economy). Loved him standing up to Zeke in this episode, who thought he was Mr. Fix-It. I just want to see him do the same to his wife, who has decided they should have another kid.

I felt the previews for “the season” were better than this premier episode. I really want to see Crosby facing off with Jasmine’s family, my guess over where Jabar should live. I also love Billy Baldwin’s addition to the cast as Adam’s boss and a love interest for Sarah.

Spoilers for the next two episodes are after the jump.
