Big Brother: Cutting Of Zombie Heads and New HOHs!

Big Brother: Cutting Of Zombie Heads and New HOHs!

Posted by Dustin on 08.18.2011 at 8:56 pm

As usual, the show started with a whole lotta recaps before we got to the good stuff . . .

Rachel of course felt this was a stupid move yet again on Danielle’s part. Then she was reduced to tears. We then had to watch Brendan console his Pookie. He said not to count him out, but if he goes, he came back to give her strength and . . . .barf!

Brendan went to Adam first, to try and find out how he could get Adam’s vote. Adam was honest and said he was a hard competitor and a threat to him eventually. Brendan played the penis card, saying she (Danielle) is trying to get rid of guys in this game.

Rachel worked on Porche, who basically told her that she went to bat for Brendan last time and it didn’t help her at all, so she couldn’t give her a promise.

Shelly realized she was up a creek, and probably needed to pick a side and stop playing everyone.

Danielle realized she had to make a deal with J/J to cover her ass, she realized she could go next week. She said they weren’t her targets. Jeff said they had a deal from the beginning that she turned on her. Jordan said she played the game and it backfired. Danielle basically lied out her ass, which she admitted in her diary session. Jeff and Jordan said there were a lot of people coasting through the game, if they knock each other off, those people would win. Jeff considered her deal . . . though know it was a deal with the devil . . . .

Rachel talked to Jordan later about her and Jeff’s vote . . . Jordan said they will always be honest . . . but if they learn everyone is voting Brendan out . . . she and Jeff can’t piss the house off at this point. Rachel was furious calling them cowards and the worse alliance ever (even though they tried to throw Jeff under the bus 2 days ago!).

Jeff was pissed and went out to defend Jordan and set down the law. They said if they can’t get Adam on board, they will put targets on their backs. Jeff said they shouldn’t be mad at them, they still have to play the game.

We went to the live vote, where Chenbot asked the others various questions. Tonights eviction will be the first member of the jury. But before the vote, we got to hear how Shelly’s daughter feels about her mom’s game play. Shelly has always been concerned her daughter will see her being a liar in the game (which she really is the biggest one!) Out of the mouth of babes, her daughter said she needed to stop lying and pick a side, and was team Jeff and Jordan.

We heard a bit from Danielle before the live vote. Danielle said her plan all along was to get Brendan out. She was willing to work with them if it came down to it, but she’d rather see Brendan out.

Shelly and Brendan made their speeches. Shelly talked about how grateful she was to Jordan for what she did during the veto competition, and she was grateful to Rachel and Brendan for staying by her door. Brendan . . . um vowed to cure cancer, and said his vote as a juror would go to a fighter and not a floater. He also told Danielle that (in a joking voice) “She’d always be Judas to him!”

The vote occurred and . . .

Rachel voted to evict Shelly, because she was not a COWARD!
Kalia, Shelly, Adam, Jeff and Jordan voted to evict Brendan.

Julie revealed to Brendan that by a vote of 5-1, Brendan was evicted! Julie questioned Brendan, asking had Danielle kept her bargain, would he and Rachel. He didn’t really know. Julie asked what Rachel’s best move would be? He said well first she’ll win HOH . . . Julie said okay just like that! . . . and if she doesn’t win? He said they’ll see (He told her to stick with Danielle and Porsche).

Brendan watched his goodbye speeches. Kalia was a . . . . Jeff told him that he’ll look after Rachel as much as he could stand her, but he wished he was the one staying! Rachel said she had found her strength and would kick but . . . right!

The next HOH game was played, and it was called “All Washed Up.” It was a racing game where they had to run back and forth across the yard and fill a bowl with liquid soap and get their a ping pong ball inside to rise high enough to be able to remove it. Of course this was an endurance challenge, which meant the ground was slippery and not easy. And soon enough Big Brother began shooting soap bubbles and foam at them.

It will probably be awhile before we know who won! I’ll post it, if someone doesn’t in the comments first!

Next week will be the Double Eviction episode!

Pretty Little Liars “Boys Club” and Nine Lives of Chloe King (Finale) Thoughts

Pretty Little Liars “Boys Club” and Nine Lives of Chloe King (Finale) Thoughts

Posted by Dustin on 08.18.2011 at 1:50 pm

So as usual, some quick thoughts on ABC Fam’s Tuesday night dramas . . . I keep meaning to get into their new one “The Lying Game” before I miss too many episodes!

“Pretty Little Liars” is coming up on it’s Summer Finale, which probably means it will once again be off the air until January.

Spencer and Toby figured out that Ian, Jason and Garret all had a secret club, the “We Se All” club. They wondered if all three were part of Ian’s sick girl taping plot.

Spencer also finally began to wonder, what if there is more than one -A? What if there are several people in on it? Took them long enough to think up that one.

Jenna is getting ready for an eye operation to see again. She knows the girls know she is dating Garret. She’s desperate to keep Jason from remembering something, and Aria or the others of figuring it out . . .

Aria’s mom got dangerously close to learning the truth about Aria and Fitz in this episode, but thought he was seeing Spencer . . . and talked about hurt and disappointed and angry she’d be at Fitz. Just when Fitz and Aria had decided to tell her parents the truth too!

Aria learned about Jason’s creepy photos of her, but he claimed it was an old role of film of Alison’s. Something tells me Alison was probably the president of the “We See All” club, and she saw something that got her killed. I’m still waiting for that creepy cop (not Garret, the other one that slept with Hannah’s mom) to return at some point.

I’m not feeling this whole storyline with Hannah and her new step-sister to be, and the war between them. Is this story necessary? Will it figure into -A somehow at some point?

Poor Emily is being targeted by -A a lot. Last week forced to ruin her relationship with her new girlfriend, and this week having been felt up by -A in the massage parlor. Ew! Though last week I don’t know why she didn’t fake out -A and give that girl her facebook name or something.

From previews, it looks like the girls old therapist is going to figure out who -A is, which probably means she’s going to be dead soon. Then there is Aria’s brother who is seemingly suffering from depression. Does he know something about all of this and it’s eating at him?

As for “Chloe King,” I loved the finale! I unfortunately missed last week’s episode, so I was a bit lost with the whole Grandma storyline and what her real game is. Is she bad like Brian’s dad? Or is she working against him somehow to protect Chloe? She claimed she didn’t want to waste time if this girl wasn’t the uniter.

I was also lost on Alec’s twin brother who came in and killed the other Mai girl and her mom (the Mai leader lady – ex Lorna from Another World). Of course we don’t know if they’re really dead, but it didn’t look good for them.

Chloe was lured into a trap by people working for Brian’s grandma, to find out if she was the uniter and had 9 lives. Chloe got shot, Brian ran to her and kissed her . . . then of course she came back and because they kissed . . . he’s not in good shape. Uh oh!

I am left wondering if all the contact from her dad was bogus? Or does he exist? Is he someone we’ve seen and just not realized it?

True Blood: Ma Petite BayBay!

True Blood: Ma Petite BayBay!

Posted by Dustin on 08.17.2011 at 5:42 pm

So it’s been a few days since Sunday’s “True Blood,” and I’m trying to remember what all went on, aside from that bizarre shower scene everyone had been waiting for . . . .

After Jason saved her from death by sunlight, Jessica couldn’t fight her feelings for him anymore, and left Hoyt. Hoyt went completely nuts on her, saying a whole lot of mean things. I actually felt really bad for poor Hoyt. What’s he going to do now? Go back to that Jesus girl his mom picked out that backed cookies and muffins? My guess is he’ll find a new vampire to suck on him some 😉

Tommy, as many guessed, pretended to be Hoyt’s mom to sell off some land and make some quick cash. Watching him transform back and be stuck in that dress was funny. At least if Tommy has to be on my screen I can get a laugh in at him.

Sam and Luna made up, but he later learned her ex was the new werewolf pack leader, and he doesn’t seem to like Sam being around his little girl at all. Looks like Sam’s got more trouble headed his way. Can’t poor Sam just be happy for one episode?

Lafayette found himself possessed by the woman ghost. So I was a bit confused, as the first time we saw her I thought she was dressed in slave attire. Now it seems like she’s from the 40s or 50s? It look like she was the mistress to a white man, had his baby, but when she went out to by the doll the man killed the kid? Now she’s convinced Arlene’s baby is really hers, and she possessed Lafayette and had him go take the baby. I have to say, I am loving this story more than a lot of the others right now.

Marnie/Antonio was pissed that only one vampire, Hoyt’s mama’s neighbor died. Bill called a meeting to make peace with her and the others. He apologized for what happened to her 400 years ago, and swore it would never happen again. Yada yada, it seemed nobody was going to trust either side . . . and in the end they began fighting one another. Of course it was Sookie who got shot, and Alcide came to her rescue. He defied orders from the new pack leader and got involved, and Debbie watched from the shadows.

Well we know they aren’t killing Sookie off. However now she has to worry about recovering from a gun shot and fending off crazy Debbie Pelt!

Big Brother 13: The Evicted, The Voted Back In, The New HOH!

Big Brother 13: The Evicted, The Voted Back In, The New HOH!

Posted by Dustin on 08.11.2011 at 8:57 pm

For you on the West Coast, there are serious spoilers in this post ! ! !

So as usual, we got Julie Chen’s recap. Rachel and Lawon “LaPawn” are on the block after Jeff won veto, took himself off, and Kalia honored her word never to put up Jordan.

Probably the worst move ever? But maybe not for her! As it seems (from the feeds) Kalia realized Danielle was a sinking ship in the house and she needed a few more friends than just Danielle. Danielle has recently aligned herself with Porsche (since Kalia can’t play for veto).

Kalia seemingly got Danielle in on her plan, and when Lawon volunteered to go up (2nd worst move ever?) Danielle seemed okay, just because nobody knew what the twist was. Lawon seemed sure he would come back with special powers . . . .the Super Gay?

Rachel was thrilled, she felt this was a miracle. Lawon however was sure he would be returning with super powers. Jeff didn’t know if Kalia was brilliant or stupid, but Kalia wanted someone who would leave and return and not be after her.

Lawon tried to pretend he was shocked, pissed and disappointed (Side note: most everyone in the house realized Lawon volunteered to go up). Shelly completely figured out Lawon was a liar and even called him out. He still played his cards. Shelly went to Kalia, who told her the truth about Lawon.

Shelly then played the other side of the house, Jeff and Jordan. She told them that she felt Lawon volunteered to go up and was putting on a good show.

The house started to explode as Rachel’s loose lips started sinking ships. Rachel started talking a little too much about a deal to keep her. We then got to see some updates from Matt and Ragan from Season 12, who as much as they got into fights with Rachel, are still friends with her!

The vote was eventually held, the vote went as follows . . . .
Jordan, Jeff, Porsche, Danielle! (thinking she’d regret it), Shelly and Adam all voted to evict Lawon.

Yup, it was a 6 to 0 vote, Lawon was out . . . . but then Julie told Lawon to hold on and take a seat . . . Rachel said “Shocker!”

Julie said Lawon had a chance to return, but he had to battle his way back . . . . One of the evictees who had been sequestered separately and would be given a chance back. Julie revealed America voted who they wanted back, and that person and Lawon would battle for a chance to return to the game.

After a commercial break we learned more than 2 million votes were cast, and it was close between Dominic and Brendan, but Brendan was the winner of America’s Vote!

Brendan and Lawon faced off in a game called “That’s How We Roll.” Hundreds of balls were dropped into the yard, containing names. They had to pick 14 balls with names on them. They had to pick the names of the 14 original Big Brother Houseguests! There were a whole not of rules should you tie and what not, I couldn’t keep up there.

In the end . . . . the returning houseguest is . . . . Brendan! Lawon was LaPissed! We don’t know what the next HOH contest even is at this point . . . . .

True Blood: Walking Into The Sun

True Blood: Walking Into The Sun

Posted by Dustin on 08.09.2011 at 6:46 pm

Just some really quick thoughts on the latest “True Blood” episode, as I’m currently out of town till Thursday. . . .

I was so glad that Sam and Luna put two and two together and came up with four, not three or something else. I.E. I’m glad they figured out Tommy skinwalked as Sam. Sam kicked his little brother to the curb, and Tommy started hitting himself saying “Stupid stupid!” I’m afraid whatever he does next will indeed be something stupid!

Jesus’ grandfather admitted to him and Lafayette that he did what he did to prove to Lafayette the magic was within him, that he was a medium. I’m not really sure what the point was, why he cares? But later Lafayette did see the ghost lady haunting Arlene and her baby. It would seem that the ghost woman thinks Arlene’s baby is HER baby, which I’m guessing what the writing on the wall “Not Your Baby” was really about. It wasn’t about Renee as they thought.

Alcide and Debbie joined their new pack, but Debbie still remains jealous of Sookie and Alcide’s feelings for her. Zzzzz, do we really have to watch her go nuts again? Why Alcide got back with her I don’t know.

Tara and her girlfriend narrowly escaped Pam, who spent some of this episode trying to have all the rot outside ripped off to slow the decay. Probably the most nasty scene on this whole show to date! Even worse than Russel playing in guts last season. I was sad Tara sent her girlfriend away. She’s just damn unlucky in love!

Marnie, who is now fully possessed by Antonia, escaped and with Tara and Holly’s help put the circle together, but not before sending Luis to try and kill Bill and tell him of her plans to make all vampires meet the sun. Bill instructed everyone to chain themselves with silver before dawn to keep the spell from taking hold.

Near the end, Marnie cast the spell . . . . and the vampires headed for the sun, or tried to. Jessica broke free and made it to the door, as Jason was racing to try and save her . . . . . We know they aren’t going to kill Jessica off, not with this romance they’re hinting at with her and Jason.

Sookie seemed to take a back seat in this episode. All she and Eric did was *bleep* the first half of the episode, and then she tried keeping him in silver the second half. Bleh, Sookie and Eric are actually starting to bore me. Actually I think it’s just Eric. His memory loss has made him not only a goodie two-shoes, but way to accommodating. He’s lost his spunk, his bad boy edge. All he wants to do is please Sookie, make her happy. Boring!

Big Brother 13: So Long Brendan, A House Guest Will Return, & The New HoH is . . . .

Big Brother 13: So Long Brendan, A House Guest Will Return, & The New HoH is . . . .

Posted by Dustin on 08.04.2011 at 8:53 pm

So tonight is the night, the eviction, Rachel’s inevitable meltdown, Brendan possibly dropping F’bombs as he leaves, and a new HOH!

Julie opened with a recap of Brendan’s actions, letting us know chivalry is not dead! (Apparently brains are!).

Everyone reacted. Brendan thought he was doing the right thing, while Danielle felt all her dreams had come true. Jeff knew why Danielle nominated Jordan, she has a better shot at staying than Brendan. Jordan also felt she would stay, but had bought an eviction dress just in case.

Then we had to hear Rachel cry, and cry, and cry. And Brendan tell her how amazing she is, over, and over, and over.

Kalia and Danielle celebrated, which mean Kalia kissed her little white butt as much as she could. Danielle had to get the votes to get Brendan out, and all was riding on Kalia winning this week’s HOH . . . . a loooong shot!

Brendan went after Shelly, Adam and Porsche to stay. Porsche said she’d vote for Brendan (mainly because it would keep Rachel from going nuts on her).

Shelly had been playing all sides, she had to weigh her options. Adam too didn’t know where he stood. Danielle was also after them to vote Brendan out.

Danielle tried to convince Porsche not to give Rachel and Brendan a pitty vote. Danielle told her that Brendan and Rachel will lie to anyone to get a vote. Of course Rachel walked in on the talk. Rachel eventually left, realizing the tension in the room. Rachel then went to the DR, to say Porsche might as well cut her heart out with a knife.

Porsche talked to Rachel later telling her she was on her side, but she had to cut the sad stuff out, she would be here without Brendan, and she needs to pull it together. Rachel then threw a fit, and Brendan lashed out at Porsche for saying that. Rachel threw a tantrum saying everyone is against them, nobody cares about anyone but themselves! Porsche had had it, and Brendan tried to convince Rachel not to screw herself, she’s making him think he made a mistake. She went into a “I ruin everything, he never should have asked her to marry her, she’ll never get a job, everyone in the world would hate her” fit.

O . . . . M . . . . .G

Julie went to the guests to talk to them. Julie mentioned it’s rare for a Veto holder to save another nominee, the only other person to do it was Dick for Danielle. Rachel said Brendan was a once in a lifetime love . . . I tuned out. I liked them last season, this season it’s just been too much!

We then got a message from Evil Dick about his thoughts as to how Danielle is playing. Dick said he would never have let Danielle play this bad of a game. He felt like Danielle is playing too hard, too fast, and it’s been terrible. He felt she was making the same mistakes as she did with Nick, but with Dominic. He felt that the scheme to backdoor Jeff was way too early, she just screwed up. Dick did say though she’s a fighter and a competitor, she still has a shot, but it will be hard.

Julie talked with Danielle before the vote, asking if she could make peace with Rachel? Danielle said no, as Rachel thinks she’s breaking up her marriage and will probably want to kill her.

Brendan and Jordan got to make their speeches. Brendan just got up and talked about how lucky he was to play with Rachel again, and how lucky he was, and he would always be with Rachel. Jordan simply said this was a long and stressful week. She said she loves them all, she came here to be with Jeff, and to vote who you think will get them further, that was it.

We went to the live house vote, which was as follows . . . .

Jeff, Kalia, Adam, Lawon, Shelly voted to evict Brendan.
Rachel and Porsche voted to evict Jordan. (Porsche told everyone she was only voting knowing Brendan was going home anyways).

Julie gave Brendan the news. He said he loves them all, no hard feelings, he will see them at the finale. Rachel was in tears and didn’t want to let him go.

Brendan left, and he got to see his videos. Jordan hoped to get an invite to his wedding, while Kalia was thrilled to see him go insulting his brains. Danielle suggested if his tongue wasn’t so busy on one house guest, he could have been making deals with others. Rachel of course can’t imagine the separation, but their babies will get to see their love story on DVD.

Julie decided to shake things up with the next new twist. She told them to think carefully how they play, as the next person evicted may be able to get back in the game . . . . . Julie then tells us that the first four evicted guests will battle next week’s evicted guest live to return! Of course we get to vote as to who we want to see back. Go to CBS.com/bigbrother to vote for free online.

The HOH competition was played. These week it was a trivia with questions that had Keith, Cassie or Dominic as the answer. It was game where two people faced off and knocked one out, and the winner chose the next two up. In the end the winner was . . . . Danielle! Actually it’s Kalia, but really it’s Danielle. Let’s be serious, Danielle will be in control of the house yet again.
