Late last night came the sad news that Larry Hagman lost his battle to cancer at 81. He will forever be remembered as The Major on “I Dream Of Jeanie” and of course J.R. on “Dallas.”
“Dallas 2.0” returns for a new season beginning in January. Much of it has presumably been taped at this point. How they will address J.R.’s passing on screen remains to be seen.
I watched the original, and the actor who played JR’s dad, Jock, passed away. The death was handled by Jock being in South America and dying in a helicopter crash in the jungle. I’m betting the writers are already doing something similar.
