True Blood Final Season Premiere . . . Not Cool!

True Blood Final Season Premiere . . . Not Cool!

Posted by Dustin on 06.23.2014 at 11:07 am

So last night was the premiere of “True Blood’s” final season. Within the first few minutes the Hep-Vamps attacked the town, drug off Holly, Arlene and Sam’s pregnant girlfriend . . . . and killed Tara? WTF! That was just so not cool! Tara was taking down this huge vamp, and the next thing we see is Lettie Mae screaming and holding her guts saying “They killed my baby!” I’m not buying this. We didn’t see Tara die, and Pam didn’t seem to show any emotion and she would have felt her true death. Is this a trick? Did Lettie Mae kill Tara? I don’t know. The actress has given a few interviews and it seem to be for real. To kill Tara off in the first few minutes though, boo!

The rest of the episode wasn’t that eventful honestly. Sookie is being blamed by everyone in town for what’s happened, and she can’t stop reading their minds and hearing it. Jason is still with his dominatrix Vampire, and Sookie’s with Alcide. Jessica is protecting the last of Andy’s kids that she didn’t kill. Sam’s secret may be out, as the guy he won against for mayor saw him turn into a dog. Arlene, Holly and Sam’s pregnant girl are screaming in the basement of Fangtasia where some Hep-Vamp is keeping them as meals. Finally Pam is off in some foreign country looking for any sign of Eric, who wasn’t even in the episode.

Why did they have to go and kill my Tara? Whyyyyyyy!!!!!

Following the two-night premiere, BIG BROTHER will air Sundays, beginning June 29 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), Wednesdays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), and the live eviction show hosted by Julie Chen on Thursdays, beginning July 3 (9:01 – 10:00 PM, ET/PT).

“BIG BROTHER” TO DEBUT ITS MOST “TWISTED” SEASON EVER! Host Julie Chen Announces the New Twists Today on “The Talk”

Further Details Will Be Revealed During the Two-Night Premiere Event June 25 and June 26 on CBS

Houseguests Will Live in an Urban Tree House-Themed Dwelling

It was announced today by Host Julie Chen on “The Talk” that BIG BROTHER will debut its most “twisted” season ever during its special two-night premiere on Wednesday, June 25 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) and Thursday, June 26 (9:01-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. As previously announced, this season of BIG BROTHER will air in HD for the first time.

During the premiere, Host Julie Chen will announce details of two new twists and the new competition for the season.

In the first twist, two Houseguests will win the coveted role of “Head of Household” (HOH) each week, which still comes with special privileges, including a separate suite inside the house. Each HOH will have the responsibility of nominating two fellow Houseguests for eviction every week; however, for the first time on the series, earning HOH will not guarantee one’s safety in the game for the week.

With the second twist, fans will have a unique opportunity to significantly influence the game from home with a new interactive element called “Team America.”

In addition, this season of BIG BROTHER will introduce an entirely new high-stakes competition, “Battle of the Block,” which will dramatically shift the power in the house each week.

“When the Houseguests learn about the new twists, they will need to throw out any pre-existing strategy if they want to survive in the game,” said Allison Grodner, Executive Producer of BIG BROTHER. “The new Battle of the Block competition will shake up the power in the house like never before. A Houseguest can go from zero to hero, or vice versa, every week!”

This season, the BIG BROTHER Houseguests will live in a whimsical urban tree house-themed dwelling. The living room features a 20-foot-high wood tree sculpture, and wood panels that give the illusion of peering out into the world from inside the tree. The theme continues with the dining room’s branch-bound chairs and the kitchen’s butcher block island made from thick slabs of eucalyptus trees. Nestled above the living room is an actual tree house shack where the Houseguests can play chess. The Head of Household suite includes a giant bird’s nest for the bed and a wall lined with nearly 1,000 bird houses. Also, the bedrooms’ décor is based on the classical elements earth, wind and fire with the bathroom’s theme being water.

Following the two-night premiere, BIG BROTHER will air Sundays, beginning June 29 (8:01-9:00 PM ET/PT), Wednesdays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), and the live eviction show hosted by Julie Chen on Thursdays, beginning July 3 (9:01-10:00 PM live ET / delayed PT).

The Fosters and Pretty Little Liars Thoughts

The Fosters and Pretty Little Liars Thoughts

Posted by Dustin on 06.18.2014 at 2:53 pm

So I completely forgot “The Fosters” were on Monday night and had to go back and watch them on-demand. I really hate that my on-demand doesn’t have ABC Fam and Lifetime shows in HD! Anyways, can anything ever go right for poor Callie on this show? She’s now forced to find her birth father after learning the man who raised her wasn’t her bio-dad. By the end of the episode it seems he came looking for Callie, stopping by where she worked to order some shakes. He said nothing to her, but returned to his car where a young girl who looked very much like Callie sat. So she has a half-sister, which we saw in the previews. I thought at first she had a twin! I was thinking oh please no! But it’s not a twin. It also seems the judge may have been right and her dad knew nothing about her initially. Why did Callie’s mom lie? There has to be something bad about the guy, and you know he will pose a problem for her adoption. Meanwhile things look bad for Brandon’s dad, did he really kill the twins mom? It’s looking that way, or he beat the hell out of her and scared her off. The twins, as usual, just bored me. Finally the outcome of Brandon’s injuries just suck. I hope he’ll be able to play again. That rich kid got off way to easy. I’d file a civil suit against his family for damages!

Onto “Pretty Little Liars” and my thoughts on that show. Sometimes, actually most of the time, these girls make me wanna bang my head on concrete. For once it would be amazing if they just told the police the truth! I have to wonder if Shana is really dead. Have there been actual news reports? The town seems to act like they don’t know one of their own was killed. How is Fitz going to explain a gunshot when he wakes up? Jason is looking pretty damn guilty, did he kill his own mom or is that Mona, who has made it clear to Alison she is going to make her life hell. I am worried that Spencer’s dad may have killed her though, and maybe that’s what Melissa knows and what she whispered to him? Also it seems to me that Alison could put Mona back in prison if she just told the truth. I was really afraid that by the end of the episode that Alison would flee again and go back into hiding. I don’t think I can deal with that if is happens!

Big Brother 16 Is Upon Us!

Big Brother 16 Is Upon Us!

Posted by Dustin on 06.15.2014 at 7:43 pm

Yes my friends, it is almost here. I’ve already subscribed to the feeds, taking advantage of the even cheaper offer in the weeks before the show starts. This year the show is FINALLY in HD. It took them how many years? Sadly “After Dark” is once again on TV Guide, which means no nudity or cursing. What’s the point? I mean I get TV Guide reaches more people than Showtime, but pahlease! It’s called “After Dark” for a reason!

The show premiers on June 25th. It’s expected as usual that the cast and house will be revealed sometime this week on “The Talk.” The huge rumor this year is that we are looking at an “All Stars” summer. Given the horribly boring newbie casts the past few years, I wouldn’t put it past CBS to pull this in order to keep people actually interested in the game.

P.S. I hope we get CHIMA back just for the DRAMA!

Pretty Little Liars: Say What? She Was The New A?

Pretty Little Liars: Say What? She Was The New A?

Posted by Dustin on 06.14.2014 at 5:27 pm

I’m having serious issues with the “Pretty Little Liars” premier. At this point they’ve veered off from the books a lot, though I was really hoping a lot of the teases last season meant they were getting on board with the whole Alison’s twin twist from the books. At this point I think it’s safe to discuss that, since it’s in the books and they don’t seem to be going there on the show. I’m sure though at some point they may pull it out, when they are really desperate. Yeah in the books Alison has a twin and that who really died, if I’m remembering correctly.

So the idea that Shana was the new A did not blow my mind at all. It actually let me down. With so many good choices, they chose Shana? Pah-Lease! Well she’s not A any longer, as she was left for dead by the girls after Aria clubbed her and they called the cops to come get her body. She is dead I hope. It’s very possible she was just another member of the A team acting on orders, not the real A. Let’s hope that is the case. However she claimed it was her, and she was in love with Jenna and did all this to avenge her.

Back in Rosewood, Melissa and Mona assembled all the kids that Alison teased together. The thought of Alison returning to Rosewood scared the crap out of them all. Hello aren’t they all about to graduate and be done with high school at this point? Who the hell cares about a high school bully when you are out of high school? Well maybe Alison isn’t graduating anytime soon, I guess she’s a few years behind now! I did like the idea of a new group assembling to combat Alison and a new A arising. I hope it’s someone good this time.

Having Alison go back home, given what her mother did to her, you know burying her alive and all, is definitely going to be awkward! Then there is the Jason issue, and her true parentage.

A major question left was what Melissa told her father in this episode. It must be huge as he ordered her not to tell her mother. Is it the twin twist? Does she knows what Alison’s mom did that night? Are we still sure it was Shana that actually tried to kill Alison, or did she just take over as A after Mona went down?
