American Horror Story Season 2 Details!

Ryan Murphy spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the details of season 2 of “American Horror Story.”
The story will take place in an east coast insane asylum run by Jessica Lange’s character. The second season is also said to be set in a different era than the first season. What that means is anyones guess, as we saw so many eras in the first season! I’m thinking we may be looking at a Victorian period storyline though, which could feature truly horrific treatments of patients.
Also back from the first season will be Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe; but all will play different characters.
Adam Levine has been confirmed as a character, and more recently French actress Lizzie Brochere has been named as Jessica Lange’s enemy in the new season.
Adam Levine to American Horror Story?

If you haven’t turned on a radio today, you may not have heard, that Adam Levine (Maroon 5, “The Voice”) is supposedly up for a part on “American Horror Story” for season 2. Adam would play one half of a couple only known as “The Lovers” at the moment. Gay or straight lovers? Who knows! Adam has a gay brother though, and has been a very vocal gay rights supporter.

More American Horror Story Season 2 Details!
Posted by Dustin on 03.03.2012 at 12:09 pm
More details on season 2 of “American Horror Story” emerged this weekend at the PaleyFest Television event.
We already knew that season 2 would be a new location, possibly some returning cast, but all playing new characters.
The location is said to be on the East Coast, set in an institution, and Ryan Murphy has teased they are trying to do something “historically accurate.”
There are just so many possibilities! “An institution” could be something like a prison, or a hospital . . . or it could be taken to mean something very meaningful to America in general. Jamestown? Williamsburg? Roanoke?
There was still the mysterious clue said to be given in one of the later episodes. Roanoke DID come up in the spell done to try and vanish the ghosts, but Jessica Lange’s character often talked of Virginia.
Given how in historical dramas seem to be now, I think it would be interesting for the show to not take place in the present. Some type of hospital would be creepy. A prison might be too similar to Murder House I think, with a bunch of crazed people/killers. I don’t want to see Roanoke done, as that mystery has been solved by science at this point.
The returning cast? Jessica Lange is back, and this time is the star of the show. Zachary Quinto be one of the main stars this time around as well.
Also returning are Evan Peters (Tate aka Rubber Man), Sarah Paulson (Jessica Lange’s psychic friend) and Lily Rabe (Nora, the original mistress of the house, the crazy doctor’s wife).
Oh . . . and the show WILL somehow answer what happened to Constance’s fourth child! They did mention early on she had four, but we only found out about three of them.

While the location and story for Season 2 has still not been revealed, after her Golden Globe win this past Sunday for “Best Supporting Actress,” Jessica Lange has commented that she’s in talks to possibly come back for Season 2.
We know that the majority of the cast is not returning, that it will be a new location, and a new story. Lange also confirmed in a variety of statements to the press that if she returns it’s with the understanding she and anyone else returning are going to be new characters.

American Horror Story: Even Unsaved Souls Can Celebrate Christmas! The Finale . . .
Posted by Dustin on 12.22.2011 at 10:44 am
So last night was the big season finale of “American Horror Story” and they didn’t waste much time at all . . . killing off Ben! I guess I knew it would happen all along, but I was still pissed. He was going to try and leave with Vivian’s spawn of a child, as that’s what she wanted. Her sister was supposedly on her way to help him. But before he could, Hayden killed him! She hung him from the chandelier, so it appears he committed suicide. Constance swooped in, took the child, and told the police that Violet must have taken the boy and run.
The house sold almost immediately, at a severely reduced price, to a couple and their teenage son. Violet took a liking to the boy, which angered Tate. Both just showed up in his room at various points, and while he was shocked . . . he just sat there and talked to them. I don’t know, this must be an LA thing. I’ve never moved somewhere new and had people randomly show up in my house that I don’t know and struck up a conversation with them.
The parents meanwhile pondered another baby, as their son was about to graduate and move out. Ben and Vivian knew they could not let another couple have a child in this house. Moira appeared to them and said not all who are in this house are evil, many are victims and trapped here. They don’t want to see anymore tragedy and would help them. Moira, Ben, Vivian, the nurses, the Black Dahlia and Constance’s son in the attic scared the crap out of them and chased them out of the house. Vivian said more would be coming, but Ben said they’d take care of them in time.
Vivian began hearing a baby crying, and found Nora Montgomery in the basement with her son. Nora had claimed the boy, but he had been crying non-stop for three days straight. She treated Vivian like her nanny, asking her to take the boy so she could rest. Vivian asked Moira to be the baby’s godmother, to help her look over him.
The family ended up celebrating Christmas. Ben cut down a tree from the yard, and Moira and Violet found old ornaments in the attic. Tate and Hayden watched from another room, you could feel the anger. Hayden told Tate that Violet would never want him again . . . but Tate said he could wait forever.
We then went three years into the future. Constance is raising little Michael. She took a much needed beauty salon day, leaving him with the nanny. When she returned, there was a trail of blood from the kitchen to Michael’s room. Constance found him sitting there, the nanny dead on the floor, and he was finger painting with her blood. She said “What am I going to do with you?”
It’s definitely a different set-up for Season 2 that just having a new family move into the house and go through Season 1 all over again. Given how well the show did, they could bring in some big name guests as the family that moves in for a week or two. I just hope they don’t overdue something like that. Watching the Harmons scare family after family away will get old.
I also bet Constance will be dragging a lot of Michael’s “almost but not yet dead” victims over to the house to add to its house guests.
*Update* So it seems some season 2 details have been revealed. TVLine has revealed it will be a new location, a new family, a new story. Some cast members are in talks to return, but who?
Ryan Murphy said the location was given as a clue in the last three episodes. . . . I suspect Constance will be back raising her spawn, possibly having relocated. She was talking about her roots in Virginia a lot in the past few episodes. Though the article indicates anyone coming back will be a new character?
Vivian’s sister could be a possibility to be haunted next too.
Or they could just take some obscure mention on the Murder House Tour and use it . . . .
American Horror Story: Only One Episode Left!
Posted by Dustin on 12.17.2011 at 5:11 pm
So there is only one more “American Horror Story” left in this season. How will it end? After this week’s episode . . . who the hell knows! I am expecting some seriously huge cliff hanger. But really, how can they top all the shocks they’ve delivered so far?
The show opened with a young Tate playing in the basement and being attacked by the demon ghost down there. Nora, the original owner, saved him and explained he could always tell the ghost to go away, and he would. She said it’s name (I forgot it) and it made me suspect that the ghost is
the re-assembled baby of Nora and the Doctor. However it’s a tad big for what was a small infant? With this show, what you think you know NEVER turns out to be reality. Could there have been a deeper history to the land? We know Nora and the Doctor had the house built themselves, so there really can’t be a previous owner/ghost in it. But SOMETHING had to make them both go a little crazy, yes?
As Ben went to get Vivian out of the hospital, Violet found Chad and Patrick (the gays) were decorating a baby room and planning to raise them. She doesn’t know all the other ghosts in the house want the babies too. She called Constance and her psychic friend Billie into help.
Billie immediately realized Violet was dead, but did not spill that secret to a clueless Constance. Billie told them how to do a vanquishing spell, using the old story of the lost colony of Roanoke as inspiration (we’ll ignore that most scientists agree that mystery has been solved). She also told Violet that this house traps spirits within, and seeks to use them. There is an evil here trying to get back into the world of the living . . . . What or who is this evil? Could it predate the house? Again . . . it would make a richer history for Season 2!
Violet and Tate worked to do the spell to banish the gays from the house. When Chad caught on, he told Violet the spell was basically crap and would do nothing. However he would not lay claim to the babies, as he realized his lover Patrick was planning to leave him right before he was killed. He had met someone else. Chad also told her the truth about Tate, that not only did he kill them both, he rapped her mother and is the father of one of her kids.
Violet confronted Tate, screaming and yelling at him. He claimed innocence, why would he do that? She told him because he’s evil, just like how he killed all the kids at school who confronted him on Halloween. He acted as if he had no memory of doing anything wrong, and claimed she was changing him, making him better . . . . I’m beginning to think whatever the evil is, it used Tate all along, possibly possessing him. All the other ghosts clearly remember what they did, but not Tate.
At this point Ben arrived with Vivian. She refused to go into the house, she wanted to get Violet and just leave. Unfortunately she then went into labor, and Constance DRAGGED her into the house because there was no time. As Violet was trying to explain to her father that she’s dead and can never leave, Vivian went into labor. The doctor’s ghosts and the dead nurses showed up to deliver the babies, as both Ben and Vivian were horrified. Everything sunk into Ben, that everyone in the house is dead, even his daughter.
Vivian began to bleed out. Her first baby, we presume Ben’s, was stillborn. When the second one came, Constance grabbed it and whisked it off. Vivian then died, and we saw her join Violet with her unborn child. They had a bonding moment, as they realized their unfortunate fates in this house.
Jeeeeeezzzzzzzzeeeeee! What more can this show do to us? Ben known knows his daughter, wife and unborn child are dead and stuck in this house, while the demon child lives. Will he stay? Will he go? Will he DIE? I suspect the cliff hanger will have us wondering whether Ben is alive or dead, or will leave him on the brink of death.
I’m not sure where Season 2 will go. I had originally suspected the only way to do a Season 2 would be to kill this family, make them ghosts, and have new people move in. I mean why would they want to stay in this house? However Violet’s death made me think that’s why they wouldn’t leave . . . but now Vivian and one of the kids are dead too. I just don’t know. I expect to be shocked, shaken, and probably pissed come the end of next week.
American Horror Story: A Tragic Twist!
Posted by Dustin on 12.09.2011 at 1:20 pm
Wow . . . just WOW! Now that was a shocker I didn’t see coming at all. And it’s a huge game changer!
Ben visited Vivian and let her know that he believed her about the rubber man, which shocked her. He also told her that the babies have two fathers, something she hadn’t been told at that point as her doctors felt she was too fragile. One of the babies also seems to be growing much faster than the other . . .
Violet was still locked in her room, while Ben dealt with an infestation of bugs. The police soon showed up because Violet had not been in school for 16 days. HE knew she had missed a few days, but not that many. Ben began looking into and calling boarding schools, which Tate overheard. Tate used this to his advantage and told Violet, and he said he’d take care of things. They wouldn’t be separated!
Tate (as Rubber Man) attacked Ben as he got out of the shower. It was a very brutal fight, and yet somehow through it all Ben’s towel stayed glued to his waist. After leaving him unconscious on the floor, he ran to Violet and suggested they take drugs and commit suicide . . they can be together forever. Violet flipped and ran from him, trying to escape . . . only every time she ran out of the house she was warped back in. Oh noooooo, oh YES!
We learned that when Violet took all the pills a few episodes back and Tate tried to save her, he failed. She died! That’s why she was all but missing from last week’s show. He drug her body under the house, he didn’t want her parents to find her. She also had no idea till then that she had died, she didn’t even remember dying. Her body under the house is also what caused the bug infestation. Tate also told her that he knows he’s dead too, he’s always known, but he really liked her and it’s not how you start a conversation. She asked what happened now? He said nothing, they just stay here . . . forever.
There were some other good twists in the episode. We learned new things about old murders and accidents we thought we knew all there was to know. For example Larry and his burns? Nope, they didn’t happen trying to rescue his kids. We learned after his family died, he shacked up with Constance and her kids. Tate loathed him. The morning before he shot up school, he visited Larry at work and gave him a gasoline bath and lit him on fire.
We also found out that Constance didn’t bury her husband with Moira. She refused to do so, and ended up grinding his body up in a meat mill in the basement and fed him to her dogs. YUCK!
Larry finally saw his wife and girls in the house, because his wife told him he was finally ready. He also protected Constance, who the cops suspected of murdering Travis. He confessed, and the cops believed him because he knew details they didn’t release to the press . . . as after all he did move the body. All he wanted as thanks was for her to say she loved him . . . but she wouldn’t. Dayum she’s cold.
So I guess at this point, they have set up the second season in a big way. We know now that Ben and Vivian aren’t going to move, as they won’t want to be away from Violet. That will keep them in, or at least near the house . . . just as it has Constance. I couldn’t see how they could keep the family in the house unless they made them all ghosts.
American Horror Story: Who’s Yo Daddy?
Posted by Dustin on 12.02.2011 at 6:51 pm
So this week on “American Horror Story” we met two new ghosts. Well one old ghost and one newcomer ghost really. We learned “The Black Dahlia” was killed in the house, so her ghost haunts it. Yawn! I wasn’t too thrilled by that story. Hayden meanwhile killed Constance’s boy toy Jimmy (Timmy?) and he’s the house’s newest ghost. Double Yawn! I’d rather have Addie to be honest. Though she was fairly innocent, so I guess she wouldn’t make such a good ghost.
Vivian was locked up tight in the insane asylum. Ben visited her, to tell her how disgusted he was with her self-righteousness and looking down upon him all these months. Turns out Vivian is pregnant by two men (wait where do I know this storyline from!). Ben is only one of the baby’s fathers, which he was stunned to learn. Vivian however had claimed to the hospital that she was raped by someone in the rubber suit. Nobody was believing her, and she was seeming more looney to them, so she had to drop that story to try and get out and prove she was better. Later when Constance visited her, she told her that was the truth.
Hayden was still hanging around the house. How is it that nobody wonders how all these people just get into this house at odd hours? Later her sister showed up, thinking she had gone missing and suspecting Ben. She brought the cops too. But when Hayden appeared to them, clearly Ben was off the hook. Hayden worked to convince Ben that the security guard and Vivian had something going on. When Ben confronted him, he told him that he shoots blanks . . . he aint no baby daddy!
Hayden also started seducing Constance’s younger lover (again Timmy? Jimmy?) and eventually killed him, turning him into another of the houses ghosts. Larry disposed of the body, but not before the good doctor cut it to pieces, as he had done with the Black Dahlia’s body years ago. I feel like they could have explored other ghosts from the house’s past before making a new one, but I guess they don’t want to reveal everything in season 1. What would be left for season 2?
Constance learned from Moira that Tate fathered one of Vivian’s baby’s, and she was disgusted with him. I am shocked, I thought that’s why she had taken such an interest in them! But really she was shocked because it could ruin things with Violet, who she is counting on helping Tate out somehow. She later asked her psychic friend what would happen should a spirit father a child with a human. She went into this long story about how every pope, upon taking the oath, is lead to some back room where they are shared the most guarded secret of all. That the anti-christ will return when the devil sires a child with a mortal woman through fornication . . . a perversion of the conception of Jesus in which God whispered in the Virgin Mary’s ear. Okay I felt this was coming. I was thinking if Rubberman wasn’t Constance’s husband, he’d be Satan or just an evil spirit of the house. But I guess we are to assume the devil took hold of Tate? That’s why he did those horrible things? Clearly this baby can’t be born can it? Will we enter “The Omen” territory? I guess it could be what’s in store for Season 2.
Meanwhile Ben resisted the temptations of both Moira and the Dahlia this week, even when they tried to double team him. He later asked Moira about the rubber suit, what did happen to Vivian the day of the invasion? Moria told him he was finally seeing what’s really before him, not what he wants to see. And suddenly he saw her as the old creepy maid, not the young sexy one!
So it seems Ben, like Vivian, is onto the house at this point. Violet wasn’t in the episode. I guess something must have been going on with the actress. She was locked in her room the whole time they said. She definitely knows what is going on. Maybe this family needs to sit down and talk?
American Horror Story: Rubber Man Let Down!
Posted by Dustin on 11.27.2011 at 3:10 pm
So this week’s “American Horror Story” . . . groan! I was so upset by the rubber man reveal that I can’t really remember what else happened.
Tate? Tate! Tate has been rubber man all along? What a crock! This was not shocking, as we saw him in the suit on Halloween with Violet. I wanted to be stunned! I felt really let down. It does explain why Constance is so interested in Vivian’s kids though, one or both could be Tate’s.
We did learn Vivian is having twins, and Hayden is trying to convince the doctor’s wife to basically haunt the hell out of Vivian so they can get their hands on the babies, one for each.
By the end of the show Ben had Vivian committed because he felt she was becoming completely unstable.
Blah! I’m still so miffed. I felt they could have really done something shocking.
American Horror Story: Burned Guy and More of Connie’s Kids!
Posted by Dustin on 11.21.2011 at 6:00 pm
So the latest “American Horror Story” focused heavily on Larry and Constance’s back story, while Vivian attempted to get her house sold and learned more of it’s back story.
Vivian held another open house during which two people showed up. One was an Armenian who made a serious offer, the other was Larry the burned guy. When Ben found out about Larry, he was not happy and threatened him. Moira meanwhile took a liking to the other guy and gave it her all to convince him to buy the house, as well as put in a pool in the back yard. She wants her body dug up so she can go free. Unfortunately he would not be buying the house, Constance learned he planned to just knock it down and turn it into condos . . . which meant who knows what would happen to all the ghosts. So they had to take care of him for good.
We actually learned the truth about Larry, and met another of Constance’s kids. Larry lived next door to Constance, never in the house. They were having an affair, and she asked him to kill her deformed son Beau, who lived in the attic. Larry did, and to this day Constance visits him in the attic. She has one more deformed child, but we haven’t met them yet . . . or have we? Is that who is in the basement?
Larry was going to leave his wife for Constance, but she wouldn’t have that. She set their house on fire and killed herself and his two girls, he was burned trying to save them. He’s still in love with her, but she loathes him now. It seems she just uses him when she needs him.
Vivian grew closer to the security guard Luke and fantasized about him while, erm, pleasuring herself. However she also had visions of Ben and the creepy man in the black suit too. Vivian decided to find out the truth about her house and went on the Murder House Tour again. We got the second part of the story to the original inhabitants. The doctor somehow brought their chopped up child back to life, but it was a monster. The mother killed it, killed the doctor and then blew her own brains out . . . all in the house. So what’s in the basement could be the baby, but it looks a lot larger than a baby. By the end Violet had found some photos of the original residents and showed her mom. She of course freaked, because she had seen the doctor’s wife during their first open house! So it seems Vivian now will realize the house is in fact haunted.
This week we will finally find out who is in the black suit! I can’t wait! I’m thinking it might be Constance’s husband? She killed him in the house too.
