So as many of us guessed, Jeremy Sherwood was the casualty on “Army Wives,” killed in combat. Even though most of us guessed that is who it was, the episode was nonetheless really sad.
For one brief moment early on, when we didn’t yet know who had died, when we saw the wives sitting at the funeral . . . I thought it was Trevor. I saw TJ next to his mom and thought “Oh no, it’s Trevor!”
However it was Jeremy who was killed, and the news sent shockwaves through the unit in Afghanistan and back home for the wives and their families. Roxy had to answer her kids questions as to “Could our dad die to?” while Roland remembered working with Jeremy to help him get ready to go back to combat.
Of course the real heart break was watching Tonya, Denise and Frank deal with Jeremy’s death. Frank was the one that was truly heartbreaking to watch, especially when he had to escort the body home. Sitting on that plane with your son’s coffin right there, wow! Probably the worst scene of the show, in terms of heartbreak that is.
I definitely wonder if perhaps Tonya might return later in the season. Surprise she’s pregnant! I could see them pulling that soap trick.
I also hope that Trevor doesn’t turn to pills again to deal with this.
The previews for what is to come have Denise going AWAL. Where has she disappeared to? Time will tell!
Lifetime is promoting a join the “Army Wives” on twitter event this Sunday for the big episode. One of the cast members is Fort Marshall’s own Brian McNamara. On his twitter feed, he talks about not only directing upcoming episodes, but acting in them, specifically episode 10.
Day 4 prepping episode 10! It just keeps getting better!! Great crew, great cast, great writers! 18 Mar
BTW have I mentioned how much I love acting with my beautiful and talented TV wife… Kim Delaney 18 Mar
I’m going to take these two tweets as meaning Michael is NOT the person who bites it this Sunday.
So we just had the 3rd episode of “Army Wives,” and we still don’t know who is dead! I mean come on now. This was teased in the season premier. Way to drag it out. However there is no getting around this issue next week as the men approached the wives at the end of this episode, and they knew what it meant.
Much of this show seemed to me to set Jeremy or Trevor up as the walking dead. Roxy and Trevor did sort out their argument over TJ, but TJ has serious anger issues still and hurt Pamela’s son. Meanwhile Tonya got cold feet and tried to break the wedding off, but after talking to Denise told Jeremy she just got scared and couldn’t live without him.
There was some back stories with Roland and Joan, whose daughter got accepted to an exclusive preschool, and Claudia Joy learning about Professor Chandler’s past troubles . . . . but it just seemed like filler. The whole episode did in a way.
So who is dead? I think at this point it is probably Jeremy . . . however the party was at Claudia Joy’s house, and thats where the men came. They wouldn’t kill of Michael would they? Claudia Joy does have a life established for her outside of the army now, so it could happen . . . .
Here are the upcoming TV Listing spoilers for “Army Wives.” I’ve thrown in some alternate versions for some as well that give a little more 411.
Chase is alive in April, well after the “death shows” (which have limited info to protect who it is that dies). So it would appear Chase is NOT dead (at least not yet, there is an ominous spoiler I posted previously about how long Chase may be around after something happens).
I am thinking that either Jeremy is a goner, or it’s just some character that isn’t part of core group. A spoiler down the road that has Claudia Joy remembering Amanda might also be a clue that it’s Jeremy, as they were dating when Amanda was killed.
3-20 Movement to Contact
Claudia Joy’s first day as a law associate is not what she expected when she butts heads with Chandler.
Roxy worries about her friendship with Pamela when their boys get into a fight.
Sara Elizabeth is accepted into an exclusive preschool, which has Joan and Roland concerned about appearances.
Denise, Claudia Joy, Pamela and Roxy plan a wedding shower for Tonya.
3-27 On Behalf of a Grateful Nation
The wives support each other as one Fort Marshall family must deal with an unexpected loss.
4-3 Soldier On
Raw emotions cause each of the women to make drastic decisions about their future.
4-10 Walking Wounded
Claudia Joy is haunted by the memory of her daughter Amanda.
Pamela and Chase try to set a good example for their children.
Roxy considers opening another restaurant.
Roland questions his abilities as a psychiatrist.
4-17 Strategic Alliance
Claudia Joy and Chandler try to help an Army wife who is being threatened with deportation.
Roxy finds a way to cut costs and move forward with her new business “The Truck Stop.”
Roland and Joan offer to watch Molly when Denise comes down with the flu.
In spite of the promos, nobody died during the premier of “Army Wives,” which makes me think it was just a general spoiler for the season. I’ll post something at the end of this post about it.
Frankly, I thought the premier was a tad boring! Yeah I said it. A quick rundown of what happened . . . .
- Joan considered retiring from the army and having another baby, but ditched that decision when she was promoted to Garrison Base Commander, and was only a year away from getting a star and making general.
- TJ (a new TJ?) had become a royal *bleep* and trouble maker with Trevor gone. Finn’s father stopped by with a check from his dad, who passed away, for Finn and Roxy. The two bonded, but no lines were crossed. They did not tell the boys who he really was, just an old friend. TJ however just grew more angry.
- Pamela got the job in Atlanta and had till the end of the week to decide, as well as figure out what to do about Chase’s proposal. Her partner Boon made a third offer, stay here on the force and with him, and he kissed her!
- Claudia Joy saw Emmalynn off to college. Michael then revealed he was on the short list for a promotion, heading up West Point. It would mean a move closer to Emmalynn, but a move no less.
- Denise met Tonya (Gabriella – her last name – what she was called most last season), and the two just didn’t click. Tonya said everything wrong. Molly ended up really sick and Denise rushed her to the hospital at the end of the show.
Like I said, not the most exciting show, save for the drama involving Molly. I really thought she’d be the one they killed off, but no (at least not yet).
Now for a possible SPOILER!
Jeremy Davidson (Chase) spoke to E! Online about Season 5 and revealed . . .
“[What happens is] not necessarily the season premiere but I would definitely say there is something very significant that happens with Chase in the course of the season. … I guess…how long Chase is around. That’s probably all I can really say.”
The more I think about it, the more I think Chase maybe the one who dies. Had the show with Pamela gone ahead, he would have been written out anyways. So he is the easiest one to write out now.
So I don’t know how much to read into this, but my radio station this morning was heavily advertising “Army Wives” season 5 premier for this upcoming Sunday. It was one of those commercial spots where they act like the DJ is asking the star questions and the star who is on the phone is answering them – which in reality is a phone interview modified by stations all over the US to make it sound like individual DJs actually talked to the person . . . .
Well the actress who plays Roxy is the one who was supposedly on the phone, and the DJ asked if Trevor would find out about the new baby while he was still in the field. The actress said she didn’t know, but she hoped so. She then said how all these Army Wives seem to be popping babys out lately.
So this tells me that 1) Trevor probably isn’t who gets killed and 2) Roxy is pregnant! The later was never resolved to my recollection, though right before Trevor left she was having stomach issues (the hot dogs for example turned her stomach).
A lot of people seem to be excited about the upcoming season premier of “Army Wives,” but worried at the same time. The video preview Lifetime is airing seems to indicate a death is coming as we see all the wives at an army funeral. Is it one of their own, or is this just a red herring? My guess is the only person they can really kill off at this point is Jeremy.
Here are the spoiler blurbs from the TV listings . . . .

Info : Please, resolve the addition below before post any new comment...
Guest_3699 : I agree both on Ringer and there being too many shows. May give a few up, like 90210.
Dustin : Ringer is starting to give me a headache, keeping the sisters straight!
Dustin : I don't have time for anything new lol. There are still shows coming up I wanna watch!
Guest_3699 : Glee was fantastic last night. And Dustin, New Girl was hilarious. You're really missing out on that one.
Guest_3468 : Watching PP, and all I can think is yea Violet!!! About time tell off that arse, can't believe he'd even try that
Dustin : Been thinking, maybe she's projecting something that happened with someone else onto her teacher
Dustin : I gotta rewatch Ringer as usual lol. Yeah she acted like she was really upset, I just thought she was playing for her friends sake though. I'd rather see Juliette go down in flames though
Guest_3468 : hoping ti's a plot between the two of them for some reason
Guest_3468 : Ausiello said that storyline turns into something else all together, that's what I hope because I hate it so far
Guest_2273 : I'm confused? On Ringer, I thought Juliette was making the rape up? The teacher turned her down. Now they are making it seem like it's real?
Guest_3699 : And don't forget the police record. Sounds like a keeper to me. But let's get mad at Annie for watching out for us. Although the GPS tracker was a little stalkerish. LOL And the burned down sororiety house? Hasnt this story been done before?
Dustin : I agree, and the Liam storyline is the pits too. Hey you ran me over and lied about it, and have multiple identities, wanna be my gal?
Guest_3699 : I give up on 90210. Is Naveed really that stupid? Let's tell a slightly unhinged, barely recovered addict who moons about her daughter 24/7 that she lives down the block and Silver is dating her dad!!! She'll probably take that really well.
Dustin : I'll probably watch on Hulu or On Demand, not much on till Next Week it seems
CGinCA : I am really enjoying Alacatraz, my only complaint is that for whatever reason, I seem to have to retape it a lot due to poor volume, and or digital adjustments.... So really watching twice and learning a lot each time.
Dustin : I have not tried it. Do you like it? Keep meaning to catch up on Demand
CGinCA : Is anyone watching Alacatraz?
Dustin : Yes I was thinking maybe he's connected to the book of Fairytales Henry has? His typewriter was definitely old fashion
DNA : Dustin, are you saying you think the "writer" wrote the fairy tale book? I liked that his arrival shook up the mayor. Not sure how I feel about the long drawn out story between Snow White and the prince. We know they get together in the fairy tale land so I'm not feeling all anxious about it. As for the present time, I don't think kissing out of the street half an hour after you promised your wife you'd get marriage counselling is a nice move.
Dustin : Last night's Once, Ehhhh! Seemed like a filler. As for the "Writer," Hmmmmm. Tied to the book maybe?
Dustin : Sorry forgot to write it up! Will get on that. Basically Jake was a toddler and was there, they used his memories to see what happened. We learned the kids (who really were more like College Students!) did not set the fire, Witch Hunters did in order to kill Cassie's father . . . . who escaped! Joe Lando has been cast as her father
CGinCA : What was the twist, I saw everything up to her coming back, but the last ten minutes my signal broke up so missed the graveyard stuff on Secret Circle.
Dustin : LOVED Secret Circle and the twist with Cassie's dad!
Dustin : Secret Circle didn't tape, waiting for Hulu, will watch it tonight.
Dustin : I don't like this new therapy session at the beginning and end of each show
Guest_3699 : I hate that they make Addison so dependant on the men in her life. That being said, I actually really like her and Jake together.
Dustin : Will write a few more posts today/tonight. Parenthood is killing me!
Dustin : I can't believe we have to wait 2 weeks for Glee though
Guest_2273 : Loving Emma's marry me will number!
Dustin : Got through Greys, PP and PLL lol. Only a few more shows and I'm caught up!
Dustin : Finally home and watching! May have to just a quick post of quick thoughts as a new week starts tomorrow lol!!
Guest_686 : It's official Pete is the biggest jerk ever, he has no hope now what so ever, disgusting, did you ever love her at all
Dustin : Finally home tomorrow! A weeks worth of shows to catch upo on
Dustin : Finally home tomorrow! A weeks worth of shows to catch upo on
Guest_3699 : Loved the shows tonight! Really enjoyed Greys. Didn't get a chance to watch PP yet. Secret circle was great and so was Vampire Diaries.
