So there is no new info on new “Grimm” episodes. The end of the month and early January bring a lot of repeats. The show has gotten a full season order though.

I am enjoying the show, but often find myself distracted at the same time. The last several episodes have been stand-alone cop shows more than anything. I get that is the premise, but the story line with his aunt and the sect hunting her, what is up with the police chief, and the mystery surrounding his parents death have all but vanished. I am hoping when new shows come back, we’ll get back into these story lines.

I get that they are spreading the big stories out. “Castle” and “Body of Proof” do the same thing. They sprinkle the larger story-line arcs over the whole season. Actually “Body of Proof” hasn’t even touched the mystery of Megan’s father’s death at all this season as far as I can recall. It’s focused more on love triangles among the department. “Castle” has always been sprinkling little bits of the story of Kate’s shooting into the show. How long can she keep lying to “Castle” about not remembering his profession of love? Then there is him keeping truth from her about the call telling him to keep Beckett distracted from her mother’s death . . .

As we approach Thanksgiving, the various holiday specials begin, and many shows seem to be going into re-runs. Here are some spoilers for some new shows coming up right before Thanksgiving.

On “Castle,” a sniper killer causes Beckett to spiral downwards as she relives her own shooting.
On “Body of Proof” a bloodless body turns up . . . sounds like a vampire killer!
Two weeks of “Revenge” spoilers, Lydia’s memory (and mouth) becomes a problem for the Graysons, and Emily’s biggest ally turns against her.
A two hour “Private Practice,” the doctors band together to help Amelia go to rehab.

A bunch of Mid-October ABC spoilers. Of note, the premier of “Once Upon A Time” on ABC . . . Yay! A week later NBC rolls out it’s own modern fairy tale drama “Grimm.” October is shaping up to be a good month, with “American Horror Story” also debuting in 2 days and the return of AMC’s “Walking Dead.” Okay, now onto the spoiler bits before the real deals . . . .

• Jessica Tuck sure is busy fresh off her “True Blood” kill . . . first she was on “Body of Proof” now she’s on “Castle!”
• Apparently Victoria is starting to feel guilty about what she did to Amanda/Emily’s father on “Revenge.”
• Lee Majors guests on “Grey’s Anatomy” . . . can they rebuild him? Oh and Meredith is up the creek . . . again!
• Cooper gets a shocking blast from the past, while it looks like Violet’s back to work on “Private Practice.”

On “Castle” the 3XK killer returns to haunt the team.
“Body of Proof” gives Peter a main role for once!
Debbie Allen guests as Jackson’s mother on “Grey’s Anatomy.”
Addison adjust to working with Jake on “Private Practice.”

“Castle” returned last night, picking up immediately after Kate’s shooting, but then fast forwarding three months.

Kate told Rick that she didn’t remember anything about the shooting, which including his profession of love. She cut him off for three months, as well as others. She at least dumped her doc boyfriend Josh, claiming she can’t be in a relationship until she works to tear down the wall she’s emotionally built up since her mom’s death.

The precinct got a new captain, Victoria “Iron” Gates. Castle was thrown out immediately, and because he hadn’t heard from Kate, he didn’t care. Once she reconnected with him, he used his sway with the mayor to get back in – which did NOT sit well with “Iron Gates.” So far I do NOT like the new chief at all, but I suppose we aren’t supposed to like her. I’m sure we’ll see a story somewhere to soften her, just a little.

Rick got a call from someone who Roy Montgomery sent a package to. It was the files “the people” demanded in order to assure Beckett’s safety, as well as Roy’s family. The man, who he was we don’t know, told Rick that as long as Kate didn’t dig . . . she’d be okay. If she dug, he couldn’t guarantee he could keep her safe.

Rick knew he couldn’t tell Kate about the conversation – yet – all he could do was try and convince her to drop the case. With absolutely no leads to go on, he did that. He suggested they’d find these people – but it wouldn’t be today.

The end of the show dropped the bombs. While Rick convinced Beckett to temporarily let it go, he himself has not and is working behind the scenes. We know from the old Captain’s talk that the person is someone with a lot of power, we saw the quote “We created him.” I’m thinking it’s either Rick’s buddy the Mayor, or possibly the Governor?

Meanwhile Kate was continuing therapy well past what she needed to in order to be reinstated. Is it to tear down that wall? Her doc is Whorf from Star Trek – Michael Dorn. She told him something shocking, she lied about the shooting – - – she remembers everything! So she knows Castle loves her, she just clearly can’t face that idea right now.

Both Castle and Kate are now keeping things from one another, which will for sure blow up at some point this season.
