Dana Delany Sits Put On Housewives
Written by Dustin on May 16, 2008 – 11:45 am -Dana Delany (Katherine) told “The Insider/Entertainment Tonight” that she will be back next season. Katherine’s big secret is set to be revealed in the two hour season finale on Sunday.
Additionally Eva Longoria Parker (Gabby) told Extra that while someone (possibly several someones) die in the finale, she is not one of them.
It’s unfortunately not looking good for some of the husbands at this point!

Desperate Housewives: It’s Definitely Not Father’s Day!
Written by Dustin on May 12, 2008 – 4:47 pm -
Wow was this ever a good episode. I can’t wait till next week’s season finale, it looks to be even better. The episode began with Bree confronting Edie over the Orson situation, and then Bree sabotaging Edie’s real-estate clients. Eddie went to see Orson to get him to get Bree off her back, which is when she found a statement Orson had written out about Daniel and Austin and the baby. Edie being Edie used it to try and blackmail Bree into being her new best friend and baking slave. Faced with a life of blackmail, Bree told the girls the truth about Daniel and the baby. They all then confronted Edie, telling her they were no longer friends and they walked away from her. Edie then packed up and left Wisteria Lane . . . for now. I am beginning to think that Orson’s time on Wisteria Lane might also be coming to an end soon. I don’t think Bree will forgive him for what he’s done, especially with Edie. As for Edie, for someone who claimed all she wanted was to be included in the girls club and their friends, she sure took the wrong way going about it. I’m glad they finally kicked her to the curb.
Mike’s mama came for a visit to help Susan as the baby’s due date gets closer. Basically she wanted to try and help Susan learn to be a “proper” wife and spent the whole episode criticizing Susan for all her faults, which Mike told his mom about. It seems she could only remember her faults and nothing good Mike said! She had the best line in the whole episode when sharing her family recipes with Susan, some of which went back to before “the war of Northern aggression.” That was hilarious! When Mike’s mama decided to just move in until the baby comes, Susan pretended to go into labor so she’d get the hell out! Eventually she made Mike tell his mom that she had to stop insulting Susan. She of course was just mortified and didn’t mean to be insulting her with her comments. This is of course when Susan really went into labor. Frankly I think the one Susan should have been angry with was Mike. I mean the man must just do nothing but complain to his mama about Susan!
Gabby and Carlos began taking a liking to their new tenant Ellie, who even bonded with Gabby over mother’s day because she had such a poor relationship with her own mother and felt like Gabby had taken her in. Okay hello, Gabby isn’t old enough to be “Mallory’s” mother! Gabby soon found out that Ellie hasn’t been giving tattoos (duh!) but selling cocaine. She saw the bricks under her bed, which she knew what they were because as she said, she was a fashion model in the 80s. She and Carlos went to the cops, but they already knew and had been investigating Ellie. They want to get to her supplier and now Carlos and Gabby have to play along with Ellie as if nothing is wrong. The problem of course is they like her and don’t want to see her busted, but Carlos is on probation and that can’t be risked. Something tells me Gabby is going to single handily blow the investigation for the cops on this one in order to save Ellie.
The spawn of the devil continued her reign of terror in this episode. Lynette and Tom brought a psychologist to the house to observe things, and of course Kayla played up to him. The psychologist decided that Kayla needed to really bond with Lynette and they should do everything together to form that bond. Kayla of course started demanding things and when Lynette stood her ground, she threatened to get Penny to do something to hurt herself next. Lynette hauled off and slapped the demon. She apologized, but Kayla held a grudge . . . as did Tom! Tom once again sided with Kayla, which just ticked me off. He constantly sees her as some victim in all of this, he can’t see she’s Satan. Shave her head, I’m sure they’ll find a 666! Kayla of course then called up the doctor crying, saying her mommy hit her, and it wasn’t the first time. This has got to be her downfall, as CPS would have to come in and interview the other kids too. No doubt they’d find out Kayla was a lying serpent? Of course the twins being the twins, they’d probably say how mean their mommy is to them as they are currently grounded. I’m starting to have a bad feeling that the death that comes in the season finale could be connected to Kayla.
Speaking of death . . . . have we finally uncovered what is going on with Katherine? Determined to nip any relationship with Wayne and Dylan in the bud, she told Wayne that Dylan wasn’t even his kid. He had a DNA test run and found out it was true. Furious Wayne decided to tell Dylan the truth about her mother and her lies. However before he could, he seemed fixated on her arms . . . as if something should be there but wasn’t. A birthmark? A scar? Wayne is now even more angry than ever at Katherine and seems to know what’s going on.
It seems all the pieces of the puzzle are falling into place and we are back to the first guesses made at the beginning of the season. Is Dylan not Dylan after all? When she first came onto the show she couldn’t remember Julie or their friendship or any of her time on Wisteria Lane. All she remembered was a man standing over her bed. Is the real Dylan dead? Is she what is buried in the backyard? Did Katherine kidnap a kid and replace her dead daughter? That’s what it’s looking like. That’s however too easy, I’m hoping another twist will happen.

Desperate Housewives: Edie Gone For Now
Written by Dustin on May 12, 2008 – 2:11 pm -Last night on “Housewives” the women finally had it and turned their backs on the scheming Edie, who packed up and left Wisteria Lane to go see her son Travers. Is Edie gone? According to creator Marc Cherry . . . yes!
Yes, Edie’s gone, he told The Associated Press on Friday. Then he added: “She won’t be back for a few years.”
For awhile now there have been rumors of Edie’s departure and possible death on the show. One spoiler has it that a major character will die in the finale. With Edie gone for now, we know it’s probably not her. Additionally EW has reported that Nicolette Sheridan will be back for at least a few episodes next season.
What does Marc’s quote mean then? It looks like Edie will return in a few years . . . which obviously means the time jump at the end of the season is set to happen and Edie returns after being away from Wisteria Lane for years! This should be very interesting.

Desperate Housewives: Devil Child!
Written by Dustin on May 5, 2008 – 5:20 pm -So let’s get, what in my opinion, was the filler storyline in this episode out of the way first. The nonsense between Susan, Mike, Carl and his “child-bride.” Mike and Susan went to attend a Lamaze class and ran into Carl and his new wife there. Carl kept making digs at Susan about how great his new wife was. He basically made her feel like she had ended up with a booby-prize in Mike. During a later class when they were alone, she lashed out at him saying she got it. However they opened up, had a heart to heart, and Carl pointed out she had a great guy in Mike, and that he wasn’t a great husband. This storyline did nothing for me this week, which is why I felt it was a filler storyline.
Bree was conflicted over Orson and their marriage, admitting to Katherine after he suffered a bit and realized how wrong what he did was, she’s probably take him back. Unfortunately Edie already has her sites set on him! She let him sleep a drunken night on her couch rather than go back to an apartment complex he hates, and Bree took issue, asking her not to do it again. Bree pointed out she has a habit of going for the rest of their leftover men. Go Bree, it’s so true. That of course ticked Edie off and she let Orson not only stay, but started kissing and making plays for him. Find your own man for once Edie! It seems a spying Bree found out what she was up to. I think Bree’s going to make Edie pay. I don’t know if Orson is long for this show anymore either after all that’s gone down.
Gabby and Carlos took in a boarder named Ellie (Justine Bateman) and Gabby soon noticed men coming and going at all hours and paying her money. Convinced she was whoring it out in their spare room, Gabby got her friendly neighborhood gays to help her get hard evidence on her. She had them try and solicit her, which of course backfired. Gabby was forced to come clean that she thought Ellie was hooking. Ellie’s excuse? She was running a tattoo shop to pay for college art classes. Gabby bought the line hook line and sinker. Hello, could she have not come up with a better excuse than that? Of course we got a glimpse of what was in her dresser and what she’s really doing . . . selling drugs! Just what Mike needs, a dealer down the street from him. Hopefully Mike does not meet Ellie!
Lynette learned this week that Satan, I mean Kayla, was the one who convinced the twins to start the fire. She felt Kayla needed counseling, but Tom of course didn’t. I hope Tom wakes up and sees his daughter is in fact Rosemary’s Baby and soon, before someone ends up dead. When Lynette took her to counseling anyway, the demon blackmailed her and said she’d tell the police what the twins did. Lynette should have told her go ahead sweety, as their older sister who gave them the idea you’d go down too! But she didn’t, she caved and took her home. Kayla then got her revenge, convincing the twins she had safely jumped off a roof with an umbrella. When they tried, one of them broke his arm. She’s the devil I tell you, call an exorcist and quick!
Finally Katherine got suspicious of Dylan constantly going out to meet some boy. Wayne told Dylan to tell her mom, and Dylan did, not realizing Katherine had spied and already found out who she was seeing. Wayne showed up to see Katherine and wow was it intense. Katherine stood behind her counter kneading dough as Wayne told her how he had changed, he wasn’t the same man anymore. She revealed he used to punch her, choke her, hit her so hard he’d lick her blood off his knuckles. She said she had changed too, she wasn’t scared of him, though she wondered if she could still make him angry like she used to. I was honestly sitting there thinking she was going to pull a gun out and blow him away! She didn’t and Wayne quietly left, though you could see he was fuming. I guess she still gets to him. This isn’t going to end pretty at all, I see someone dead before this season’s over with! Speaking of dead, Katherine didn’t seem to shocked that he wasn’t dead. So who or what is burried in the backyard?

Desperate Housewives: Forgiveness
Written by Dustin on May 2, 2008 – 7:38 pm -Because I’m behind with writing the mini recaps/thoughts on the various shows I watch, I’m going to simply throw out my thoughts on various stories going on in the shows from the past week. First up is last Sunday’s “Desperate Housewives.”
Gabby fighting with Carlos over the seeing eye dog was humorous, but at this point the story with them isn’t being pushed forward much. I’m beginning to wonder if their story for the season is over and they are just going to be the slapstick comedy of the show for the rest of the time? Oh wait, they have the upcoming boarder ala Justine Bateman. That should be interesting. One good scene involving Edie this week was when she warned Gabby to stop treating Carlos the way she was, as a lot of women would still want to be with him. I think that’s the first time in a while I’ve liked Edie.
Katherine emotionally blackmailed Bree into joining her in a catering business, but at least in this episode, it didn’t go very far. Bree had other issues to tackle. Mike had confronted Orson and learned the truth, but told Susan because of all he’d been forgiven for, he was trying to forgive him too. That’s pretty big of Mike! On one hand I got that line of reasoning, on the other I felt like Orson had become Mike’s friend and that was really a stinging betrayal. Susan then told Bree she would work to forgive Orson as Mike had, but it would take time. Bree told Susan that was admirable they wanted to forgive him, but she couldn’t. Orson moved out! Poor Bree, it seems she just can’t find a good man can she. I have to say when she told that to Susan though, I never loved her more.
Tom continued to tell Lynette that he didn’t set the fire. It seemed like she knew he was telling the truth, but part of her still wondered. I did like that when Rick and Tom ended up in a fight and found themselves at the police station that Lynette stood up for Tom, even if it meant lying to give him an alibi for the fire. It’s about time she show him a little loyalty. Of course as I called it last week, the two devil children, I mean twins, confessed to Lynette that they set the fire to make Rick go away so they wouldn’t get a divorce. Now what will Lynette do? Keep quiet and protect her children or turn them in? If you’ve read the spoilers, you know who apparently is really behind the fire-starters though. Shocked I’m not!
Finally Wayne Davis pulled Dylan over to check her out, as it turns out he’s a cop. So let’s just get it out in the open, why why why did they make him a cop? I love Gary Cole, but seeing him play a bad cop on the show makes me think back to his role on “American Gothic” years ago. Maybe that explains why he didn’t die, he has the devil in him? Okay anyway, Wayne finally admitted to Dylan who he was and that he did hit her mom back then, but apparently she “gave as good as she got.” I’m not exactly sure what that means. Was that him saying Katherine beat the crap out of himtoo , or was that some backwards mentality to justify smacking his wife around? Dylan decided to keep the fact she met her dad from her mom, which I’m thinking probably won’t turn out to be a smart move in the end for her. This story is about to blow!

Spoilerish Bits!
Written by Dustin on April 26, 2008 – 2:27 pm -Here are some spoilerish tidbits for “Ugly Betty,” “Dirty Sexy Money,” and “Housewives.”
Once again, I’m in Vegas and will be getting in late tomorrow night. I’ll be catching up on all the shows via Tivo when I get home!
Various sources around the web this week were stating that Rebecca Romijn (Alexis Mead) was not happy at “Ugly Betty” and would be quitting after the second season. However Kirstin at E! has posted that Romijn is being dropped to recurring and it appears it was the show’s decision.
Also look for Gene Simons to make another guest appearance on the show as Amanda’s dad, according to Ausiello
Over to “Dirty Sexy Money,” it looks like the character Lucy Liu may play is a lawyer who opposes Nick in some case. Hmmmm, Kirstin at E! is also hinting in season 2 one of the Darling children may go on trial for trying to kill Nick’s dad Dutch, but we still don’t know if he’s dead.
Finally there are a lot of spoilers floating around for the season finale of “Desperate Housewives,” including the time jump. It almost looks like it’s going to happen based on comments from people here and there, but as of yet no confirmation of what will happen. “Housewives” has thrown out bum spoilers in past season finales I believe to keep the internet fans guessing. Kirstin at E! indicates a new husband Ken appears on Wisteria Lane with a secret that sets up the next season.
