I write this as I sit in the airport waiting for a delayed flight home. I’m about to try and use the net to catch up on shows, but first here are some more spoilers for “Desperate Housewives.”
I write this as I sit in the airport waiting for a delayed flight home. I’m about to try and use the net to catch up on shows, but first here are some more spoilers for “Desperate Housewives.”
Here are some spoilerish tidbits for “Ugly Betty,” “Dirty Sexy Money,” and “Housewives.”
Once again, I’m in Vegas and will be getting in late tomorrow night. I’ll be catching up on all the shows via Tivo when I get home!
Various sources around the web this week were stating that Rebecca Romijn (Alexis Mead) was not happy at “Ugly Betty” and would be quitting after the second season. However Kirstin at E! has posted that Romijn is being dropped to recurring and it appears it was the show’s decision.
Also look for Gene Simons to make another guest appearance on the show as Amanda’s dad, according to Ausiello
Over to “Dirty Sexy Money,” it looks like the character Lucy Liu may play is a lawyer who opposes Nick in some case. Hmmmm, Kirstin at E! is also hinting in season 2 one of the Darling children may go on trial for trying to kill Nick’s dad Dutch, but we still don’t know if he’s dead.
Finally there are a lot of spoilers floating around for the season finale of “Desperate Housewives,” including the time jump. It almost looks like it’s going to happen based on comments from people here and there, but as of yet no confirmation of what will happen. “Housewives” has thrown out bum spoilers in past season finales I believe to keep the internet fans guessing. Kirstin at E! indicates a new husband Ken appears on Wisteria Lane with a secret that sets up the next season.
ABC show spoiler roundup! Official spoiler listings for “Ugly Betty,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Brothers and Sisters,” and “Samantha Who.”
Wow this week’s episode of “Desperate Housewives” was amazing! Let’s get into it shall we?
Poor Mike is still cooling his heels in rehab, which has to be the longest stint in rehab on any kind of serial drama. I’m getting worried here about the lack of use of his character! Here’s hoping that we’ll see more Mike soon. Anyway, Mike asked Orson to come visit him. It seemed Mike had something important to talk about. Orson’s guilty conscience thought Mike knew about the accident, but of course Mike only wanted to apologize for making Orson write him that prescription for drugs. I seems the guilt is really getting to Orson, who started sleep walking and sleep talking. Unfortunately for others, Orson obviously sleeps in the nude as he kept running into Susan naked! She didn’t realize he was sleepwalking first time, and when she confronted him and Bree . . . they accused her of dreaming it all up! I loved how she explained “If I dreamt it do you think I’d be scrubbing butt prints off my stool!” I also loved when she said seeing Orson naked meant she couldn’t have her cake, and she really wanted to eat a slice. Too funny!
Meanwhile Gabby grew frustrated with Carlos, finally realizing that things weren’t going to be as easy as she first thought. Upon a trip to their own version of Costco or BJ’s Wholesale Club, Gabby noticed all the “preemo” parking for handicap people and then got a sneaky idea . . . she applied for a handicap permit for Carlos! However she used it for herself to get the spaces, and was quickly confronted by two men in wheelchairs for taking up a space. This was the best scene of the show, as Gabby told one of the men that she has to walk in high heels while he gets to wheel around. They wanted to call the cops, and she got in a fight with them! Yes Gabby basically started beating up men in wheel chairs. One went to get a security guard, so Gabby shoved the other and sent him rolling saying “Now I am going to hell . . . ” She then split. Too funny, but so Gabby. Later she started dragging Carlos around so she didn’t have another scene like that, but he soon figured out what was going on. He was furious, but she explained that this has affected her as well. She finds herself constantly worrying about him anytime she leaves him alone, whether he’ll be okay. She says if getting the preemo parking spaces is the only good thing she can get out of it well by golly she’s taking it!
Also going on was the Founder’s Day Ball. This is an event where someone in the community is presented with an award for their service to bettering the community. For the past eight years Bree has planned it and presented the award. Katherine thought it sounded like fun and volunteered to help Bree, who accepted. It seemed like their rivalry days were past them, but all the other girls couldn’t help but think they would end up killing one another. Unfortunately it seems their rivalry wasn’t over, as Katherine slowly took over the flowers, the food and then Bree learned that Katherine insisted on presenting the award too, telling the committee that Bree was too busy. This was like slamming the door of the oven and ruining Bree’s bunt cake, and she wasn’t going to take it. Knowing the ranch dip that was made had gone rancid and needed to be thrown out, she let Katherine taste test it and didn’t tell her it had gone bad. Katherine soon ended up violently ill and figured out what Bree had done. It was Bree that ended up with dip on her face though as Katherine presented this year’s Founder’s Day award to Bree! Later Katherine and Bree had a talk. Katherine thought they were getting along fine, but Bree admitted that she doesn’t know how to get along with Katherine because they are so much alike. Katherine pointed out that didn’t have to be a bad thing. Katherine said she’s been were Bree’s been, when you’ve had days so bad all you could do was set a nice table and put on a face. Katherine said they could end up being the best of friends. So after this episode it looks like the rivalry finally might really be behind them. It’s been fun, but was starting to get a little played out. I can’t wait to see where these two go from here as it should be great.
Finally this episode saw the return of Rick. Rick showed up at Tom’s pizza place to basically give him and Lynette fair warning, he was opening up his own restaurant across the street! One of Tom’s customers remembered him and hoped he was coming back. Rick then started handing out his business cards. Ouch! Tom however told Lynette they could show Rick up, he’ll add to their menu and beat him. Unfortunately soon it seemed vandalism struck Rick’s, as a large brick went sailing threw the front picture window of the place. Lynette suspected Tom, who admitted he did it. However he was furious that Rick was back in their lives because he made him see that another man could steal Lynette from him . . . and Lynette made him see that it could happen too. Unfortunately as they fought, the kids listened in . . . Later during the Founder’s Day’ Ball, Lynette got a call from Andrew who said Rick’s place had gone up in flames! Seconds later, Tom walked into the ball . . . late. Has Tom done a very bad thing? Something tells me no . . . . but the kids did! I think the kids probably set the fire because they were afraid of their parents getting divorced if Rick stayed around.
The show ended with some great cliff hangers. Julie came home to find Orson sleep walking, fortunately with clothes on this time . . . and he sleep talked and said “I’m sorry I ran you over Mike!” Meanwhile photos of Katherine and Dylan from the ball showed up in the paper, and a strange man circled Dylan’s face in the paper. Hello daddy!
On the Next Episode:
Carlos gets a seeing eye dog, which Gabby doesn’t take a liking to.
Rick and Tom get into a fight which Lynette breaks up.
Mike confronts Orson about running him over.

This was the first post-strike episode of “Desperate Housewives” and the ladies were back and as good as ever.
After facing cancer and a tornado, Lynette got the church bug and decided to join Bree at her Presbyterian church. However she embarrassed the heck out of Bree by standing up during the sermon to ask various questions, like why does God let crap happen? Bree later told her that she was out of line, church was not a place to ask questions, you listen to the sermon and are given answers. Too funny, but in many cases shockingly accurate. I am not surprised those words came out of Bree’s mouth at all. She suggested if that was the kind of church she needed, try the Unitarians as anything goes with them. Later though it was Bree’s foot she had in her own mouth when the pastor thanked her for bringing in a new family, a refreshing one that asked questions which he liked. He told her church should be about asking questions! She scrambled to find Lynette, who went to the Catholic church which is what her family are. Bree tried to bribe her back, but Lynette wouldn’t go to please Bree, who really just wanted the brownie points to get elected to the ladies’ auxiliary board. Lynette told Bree because of what she went through, she needed answers to her questions. She went to Bree because of all of them, she seemed to really have a relationship with God and had faith, or so she thought. Lynette thought that perhaps she was wrong about her and her faith, so she’d stick with the Catholics as they don’t look at her funny for having so many kids! Later Bree apologized and let Lynette know her words were right and she had lost sight of things and what faith was about along the way. They made up and hugged.
Over to Gabby who went to the church this week, but for an entirely different reason. She wanted a priest to marry her and Carlos pronto! Meanwhile Edie being Edie poked around at the hospital only to learn Carlos’ blindness wasn’t temporary as he told Gabby, but permanent. Of course he didn’t tell her the truth as she showed up as with the priest to marry them and he chickened out. Well Edie had no qualms about telling Gabby the truth, especially after learning the diamond bracelet Carlos gave her awhile back came from a garage sale and was a fake! Carlos told Gaby that he was afraid to tell her, that she might leave him. Gaby showed a sincere side she rarely seems to show, albeit after torturing him a bit by making him walk into things to get to her. She said she loved him and this was for better or for worse, no matter how hard it would be. Touching, but I’m more ticked at Edie than anything. They seemed to have once again picked right up where they left off, with making her character nastier than ever before. I think now I realize why with all the supposed reports that this may be her final season on the show. Are they just trying to make us loath Edie to the point that we won’t care if she’s gone?
Over to Adam, who left Katherine after reading the note from her aunt and went to a hotel this week. Meanwhile Dylan found the remnants of the note her mom tried to burn and told Julie that it appears her mother killed her father, according the the note her great aunt wrote her. Dylan called Adam and wanted answers, but he of course told Katherine what was going on. Grrrr! I was hoping he would have taken a stand and not stayed her little whipping boy. Katherine then told Adam exactly what to tell Dylan should she show up. She also made a plea to him to try and work things out, but he told her now and it was over. Finally, at least he did take a stand against the new wicked witch of Wisteria Lane. I do like the character so I hope they can keep him around, but nobody but Edie is single and she doesn’t deserve him for sure!
Meanwhile Susan’s nephew Tim showed up to help her with her taxes now that he’s grown and an accountant. He apparently stayed with her the summer he was 16 and remembered little Dylan and her mom Katherine. He seemed to take an interest in Dylan, which Susan really didn’t like and tried to keep him far away from her, given she was still underage. Later Susan went to see Mike in rehab, but rushed out when she called home to check on Tim and heard a woman giggling in the background. She feared it was Dylan, but shockers of shocks it was Katherine! Well hey at least it wasn’t Andrew in the bed! That boys wound up in enough beds as is. Then even more of a shocker, we learned Katherine and Tim had a fling the summer he was in town and she took his virginity! That’s what the “reconnected” over. And right after she tried to get Adam back, for shame! My sympathy for this woman is as non-existent as my sympathy for Edie at this point.
The show ended with Tim explaining to Susan that he only had the one time with Katherine, she seemed ashamed it happen and sent him away. Then later he went back to see her, but saw her fighting with a man. In the flashback we heard the man (Gary Cole) yell that “he was her father!” Katherine then picked up a candle stick and smacked him over the head, he fell down and of course didn’t get up. Tim said he ran after that and never saw Katherine again. Meanwhile Dylan showed up to see Adam, who claimed her aunt was senile and that her mother absolutely did not kill her father. Does Dylan believe him? That is the question.
So once again we are left with questions. It seems Katherine was keeping Dylan’s father from seeing her, but why? Dylan used to have the dream of a man standing over her bed and trying to possibly take her. Was he molesting her as many of us originally thought and is that why Katherine did what she did? Or is something else going on? Is he even dead? The show seemed to hint he was and that Katherine may have even buried the body in the yard (what was with the cross of cobblestones?). Or just like everything else on this show, is he not dead but alive? Gary Cole is set to return for more episodes and everything seems to point to his character being very much alive. Remember one of the neighbors told this to Dylan as well, that her father wasn’t dead like her mother told her he was. Ugh I’m so confused! If he’s not dead . . . . has Katherine killed someone else then?

Spoilers for the usual ABC shows. A side note, I’m trying to get into “Samantha Who” again and may start covering it on here soon.
Added in a few guest star information to the episodes.
Kristen at E! has thrown out the spoiler that Gabby and Carlos’ house turns into a crack den, thanks to someone they rent a room out to. They become involved in an undercover sting with cops to bust the drug ring.
While Kristen doesn’t say it, we know from earlier reports that Justine Bateman is the character they rent the room to. Before all we were told was that she was a struggling artist. Looks like Mallory Keaton may have become a drug dealer!
Also Kristen threw out the spoiler that Tom and Lynette seek psychiatric help for Kayla after she convinces the boys to jump off the roof. It took THAT to get that little girl to a psychiatrist? I knew she had the devil in her when I first saw her!
Meanwhile for weeks now there have been rumors that Nichollette Sheridan’s character Edie would be killed off, and these denied by the star. We already went through this once with the end of last season, so it’s a bit of deja-vous. Now it’s being reported that Edie is a goner according to Marc Cherry. The quote circulating from him, which is from a USA Today interview, is as follows . . .
“Edie is going to cross a huge moral boundary that she’s never crossed before on the show and it will have devastating consequences for her and lead to a shocking conclusion to her time on Wisteria Lane.”
A rumor is floating around from TVGuide that at the end of this season the show may fast forward five years into the future, and next season it will pick up there. What what what !?! I have to say I don’t think I like this idea at all. First all the kids will pretty much have to be recast, and I love Lynette’s little terrors! I just don’t get this, unless it’s a ratings ploy? Grrrr!
I’ve made this the new poll on the page. Vote and also feel free to leave your own thoughts here.
