Dirty Sexy Money: I Raise And Call

Dirty Sexy Money: I Raise And Call

Posted by Dustin on 11.01.2007 at 1:53 pm

So last night on “Dirty Sexy Money”Nick meet with Simon Edler, who promised Nick the real report on his father’s death . . . if Nick could get Tripp to give up Darling Plaza. The billionaires club was meeting for their annual poker game, he wanted to win that property. Simon wouldn’t say what it was for though.

Nick talked to Tripp about the game, but when Darling Plaza was brought up, Tripp refused. That was their first house living in Manhattan, he couldn’t give it up. He wanted to know why Nick was pushing it?

Cut to the game, where a little argument ensued between Nick and Tripp over using Darling Plaza, he told him no. Nick pushed, saying if he could win then what was the risk. He bet . . . and lost! Of course we later learned it was all a set-up. Nick told Tripp everything, Tripp agreed to lose the property to find out who killed Dutch. This was very obvious, you could smell this coming. This makes me think Simon probably smelled it too.

Simon gave Nick the report, the mechanic did in fact tamper with the plane that killed his father. When Nick went to the police, duh duh duh duh, the mechanic was found dead that morning. So who covered it up? Simon? Tripp? Maybe Dutch himself?

In other stories going on, Tripp tried to set up a fake blackmail/tabloid scandal with Patrick and his girlfriend, to try and teach Patrick a lesson about how he was running for Senate and possibly President later on, he couldn’t risk it all. He tried to pay off the girlfriend, but she wouldn’t take the money and told Patrick what was going on. Patrick was furious, and later met with Simon Elder! Uh Oh! What’s going on, is he hitting him up for a campaign donation or perhaps selling his dad out?

Karen found out in this episode that she never officially divorced her last husband. Oops! She had to go have him sign the papers, and ended up in bed with him. Her ex was Eddie Cibrian, who was playing a world renowned anthropologist. Only on TV, in real life anthropologists don’t usually look like that! After a talking to from Letitia, Karen moved up her wedding to Freddy and has vowed to get Nick out of her life. Yeah right!

Finally Brian and his son Brian Jr. did a little cute bonding and planned some father son time together. Meanwhile Jeremy learned to try and live without the Darling money to impress people and started parking cars in one of the hotels they own.

I still am waiting for Nick’s father to turn up. I believe I read on TVGuide that Peter Strauss has been cast as Dutch, but it wasn’t said if it was for flashbacks or not. I think Dutch is alive and maybe even faked his own death for some reason.

Dirty Sexy Money: Twincapades

Dirty Sexy Money: Twincapades

Posted by Dustin on 10.25.2007 at 7:48 pm

So the most recent episode of “Dirty Sexy Money” seemed a bit slow.

Brian’s wife finally found out that Gustaf, the orphan living with them, was really Brian Jr. She demanded a divorce, but later agreed to consider giving him another chance. Brian and Brian Jr ended up moving into the Darling mansion until she makes her decision.

Nick learned that Simon Elder probably is the mysterious C from his dad’s meeting book, based on the fact that his license plate is simply the letter C. Simone claims Dutch was about to quit working for Tripp and come work for him. He suggested Nick do the same, and once again put the suspicion for the accident back on Tripp.

Most of this episode centered around Jeremy and Juliet’s 25th birthday party, at which they came into a 25 million dollar trust fund from Letitia’s father. They proceeded to spend about 2 million each on separate parties, as they were still feuding over Jeremy and Natalie. Juliet learned Natalie was pregnant, and basically exposed to her brother she wasn’t. This made Jeremy realize most of his friends were so because of his money. Juliet came to a similar realization with her friends. Meanwhile Tripp was furious they can’t spend wisely and decided to defer their trust funds till the age of 30, almost taking Jeremy’s away for good. By the end of the episode though Jeremy made his dad proud by asking for a job.

Tripp made several comments about how the twins were not like the other children, how they only cared about things and the money and the parties. He also even wanted to take their money from them. Hmmmm. Meanwhile Jeremy and Juliet had a heart to heart, both wondering what their lives would be like if they didn’t have all the money. The show pretty much dropped a lot of clues that they may be Dutch’s kids.

Dirty Sexy Money: Whose Kid Is Dutch’s?

Dirty Sexy Money: Whose Kid Is Dutch’s?

So yet another mystery, which could be seen a mile away, was opened up this week. Are all of Tripp’s kids really his?

Letitia finally confessed her 40 year affair with Dutch to Tripp. Tripp asked if all the kids where his, she quickly answered yes. Seems he didn’t believe her and had some DNA tests run.

Nick and his wife headed to Italy on “business.” They were going to see a spy that his dad employed from time to time to find out what was going on with Nick’s dad and why he had a file on Simon Elder. He also had several meetings with someone marked in his calender book only as “C.” Of course they thought this would be some romantic time alone . . . . but then Karen and her Tennis star fiance decided to hijack their weekend trip and tag along.

In Italy Nick learned that his dad not only had a file on Simon compiled, but wanted info on Tripp as well! It also seems his dad was working for a third party . . . the mysterious C? Things aren’t looking good and it seems Dutch may have been a naughty boy.

Also in Italy a drunk and ever in love with Nick Karen told Nick’s wife that when they were 19 and in Italy with the family, Nick proposed to her. Nick’s wife wasn’t thrilled to learn this, and later told Karen to stay the hell away from her and her family. Yes! I don’t understand why Karen’s fiance puts up with her. He must be after the money and the attention he gets being involved with her.

Back in New York, Brian continued to try and keep the truth about Gustaf the Swedish Orphan from his wife, but it’s becoming more and more difficult. I think she already knows he’s had an affair and this is his kid, she’s just waiting for him to say it. I mean she can’t be that stupid? During a family dinner Brian was asked why he went into the church? Brian said he didn’t feel he fit in anywhere else, he didn’t like business, politics and wasn’t able to live the life of a media “Darling.” Hmmmmm . . . .

Finally the storyline I have no real interest in, the Darling twins Jeremy and Juliet. Jeremy is dating Juliet’s former best friend, she found out and is furious, and Jeremy found out he knocked the best friend up. Well first we don’t really know if he’s the father, he probably won’t be. Second, these two bore me!

So let’s talk about which kid isn’t Tripp’s. Tripp confronted Letitia, she admitted one of them wasn’t his (well she didn’t say one), and she said she would tell only if he promised it would never be revealed and things would stay the way they are. Of COURSE we didn’t find out who it was! The show gave some huge hints it was Brian, as he felt he never fit in with the family. That seems just too easy that they’d give it away like that. Then again, Brian is the one who hates Nick so it would be interesting. Then there is Karen. However if she was Dutch’s kid, it would essentially kill the whole Karen-Nick obsession Karen has, unless the show wanted to go in a “VC Andrews” kind of direction. Patrick? It would kill his chances in the senate. I have to wonder if it will wind up being the twins, only because their worlds would come crashing down as they pretty much seem to just be the media darlings of the family.

Dirty Sexy Money: Sex Tape!

Dirty Sexy Money: Sex Tape!

Posted by Dustin on 10.15.2007 at 7:09 pm

So last night I finally watched last week’s “Dirty Sexy Money.” OMG this show flip flops its plot more than a soap!

Nick found a folio on one Simon Elder in his dad’s briefcase, and Trip claimed that would be the man he should look into if he was going to blame anyone for his father’s murder. Trip offered to help, but Nick turned him down. Trip swore he didn’t have anything to do with Dutch’s death, even confessing he lied to Nick and didn’t know about the affair between his wife and Dutch. He only said he did to save face, so he claimed.

Nick took the folio to the police, they wouldn’t help him out of either fear or bribery. Trip again asked Nick to let him help him with this. We still don’t know anything about this Simon guy though, other than he’s a billionaire. There was a quick mention that he originally came over from Russia? Also something about either prison or a patent, I couldn’t head that scene very well.

Most of the show centered around a sex tape scandal. Naturally it was assumed it involved Patrick. Patrick, who decided to run for Senate, was forced to dump his transsexual mistress. This basically killed him to do, he got drunk and crashed the limo right before he was to give a speech at a charity banquet. Later Patrick eventually decided he was going to run, but get back with his mistress Carmelita.

The sex taped of course ended up being Karen’s. Nick attempted to buy it, but someone else bought it. We learned at the end of the show that Simon bought it and had it all delivered to Nick. He was told Nick’s daddy wasn’t who he thought he was, and neither was his boss.

OMG! More twists. Once again it looks like Dutch’s death is Trip’s doing. I can’t figure this show out. I’m also wondering what happens when they solve Dutch’s death. That was pretty much the almost downfall of “Desperate Housewives” in season 2 after Mary Alice’s suicide was solved. Again I foresee Dutch not having died at all, that will be the big finale twist (assuming the show doesn’t get canned by ABC).
