Grey’s Anatomy: Threesome!

Grey’s Anatomy: Threesome!

Grey\'s Losing My MindIn this episode the Chief’s mentor, the godfather of cardio thoracic (so probably spelling that wrong and not looking it up at this hour) surgery, showed up at the hospital with heart issue’s of his own. Hahn however refused to operate on him, not wanting to be the surgeon who “killed” him. The Chief, after a stern talking to from the guy about what kind of Chief he was, ordered Hahn to do the surgery as he was her boss.

Also going on, the Chief was upset that Adelle hadn’t returned his call after their night of lurve. Adelle never appeared in the episode and given “Eli Stone” is back next season, I have to wonder what will happen with these two. Will they break up or work things out, with her appearing only occasionally? I like them and would like to see them work. At the end of the show the Chief got a ;) email from her, after emailing her for a date on Derek and Mark’s advice, but had no idea what semi-colon parenthesis meant until it was explained to him by George that it was an email wink.

Derek and Meredith had yet another patient for their tumor trial this week, one Greta. Greta didn’t want to have the surgery until her boyfriend Andre showed up. She recently met Andre on a cruise, and she wanted his opinion, saying a few last months with him might be worth it if she might die in surgery. The sister tried to convince Derek and Meredith that her sister had made up Andre, as no one had met him let alone seen a photo of him. Derek wanted to give a few hours for him to show up, Meredith disagreed.

Meridith fired her psychiatrist Dr. Wyatt because she called her a therapy quitter. Not exactly a good reason to fire her, as it shows you are a quitter! She spent half the episode trying to get her case file back, but Dr. Wyatt kept telling her to make an appointment and come in to get it.

Rebecca came in determined to see Mark. Izzie was furious as she had not been returning her calls. Izzie told Rebecca she wasn’t pregnant and she thought she was trying to trap Alex with the baby mama thing. Rebecca insisted she was pregnant, even telling Izzie to do another test if she had to. With Rebecca’s permission, Izzie told Alex. Alex then told Izzie off saying she didn’t know what she was talking about and to stay out of his business! You know I’ve really had it with Alex on this show. He is the most loathsome character and I would not miss him at all if he was written off at this point! Though he won’t be, cause they need that kind of character to round out the show.

Speaking of loathsome, Christina seemed to have a stick up her butt in this episode. First she laid into George saying nobody around her pities him, only Burke did, and Burke is gone. Then when Lexie wanted to talk to Meridith, Christina told her that Meredith hated her and to get lost! Meredith did nothing, which ticked me off! I thought she and Lexie were trying to get along better, so when she said nothing that annoyed me to no end. I usually feel for Meredith, but not in that scene at all.

Mark had a talk with Callie. He was basically tired of being man meat, he wanted her to want him for his brain as much as what was in his pants. She just sorta laughed at him. Hahn sat down and made some lesbian jokes about the two of them. They both joked about a threesome with Mark, which made him horny and ran him off! Too funny! However I have to wonder if Hahn was joking or not?

When Andre hadn’t shown, Derek and Meredith began to think perhaps the tumor had caused her to imagine Andre. It wasn’t helping when she told them a story about how she met Andre because she was running to get back on the ship and lost her shoe, and he found it and brought it to her that night. Cinderella anyone? The woman soon broke down, thinking maybe she really had made Andre up. She agreed to go along with the surgery. Oh boy it doesn’t take a brain surgeon to see where this one was going!

Ava meanwhile went to see Mark, deciding her boobs didn’t match her new face, so she apparently wanted a boob job! Mark told Izzie that he was worried she may have some psych disorder. Alex continued to not want to hear it, but a test showed she was never pregnant. Rebecca wouldn’t hear this and was convinced she lost their baby. Izzie thinks she had a hysterical pregnancy, but I’m beginning to think she has one of those brain tumors and might be Derek and Meredith’s next patient . . . the one they actually save?

Meredith confronted Dr. Wyatt while she was making tinkle in a stall, still wanting her chart back. Dr. Wyatt only wanted to pee in peace, again telling Mer to make an appointment. In came Lexie who told Meredith off and good! She said she had forgiven her for treating her like crap, she forgives Christina for what she said and Meredith not standing up, that all she wanted out of her was a sister, but Meredith has failed on all fronts. However she still loves her and forgives her. After that, Meredith agreed she still needed therapy. Amen! I still never heard an “I’m sorry” from Mer!

Mark began teasing Callie about having a threesome with Hahn, saying not to say she hadn’t thought about reaching over during surgery and grabbing some of Hahn’s golden hair. That clearly hit a nerve with Callie, who was getting turned on at the thought? That or she had honestly thought about it! Meanwhile Erica Hahn began the surgery on the Chief’s mentor and saved his life.

Meredith went back to therapy, and Dr. Wyatt pointed out how she seems to have suicidal tendencies. She let herself drown in that water, she stuck her hands in a man with a ticking time bomb. She seems to like teetering between life and death. She thought something her mother said made her feel worthless and she believed it. That seemed to get to her and she stormed off.

Meredith and Derek began the surgery on Greta, and of course Andre showed up! You could see that one coming. They managed to inject the tumor, but unfortunately the tumor had caused brain swelling they had not missed. While it seems they treated the tumor, the brain swelling became the issue that put Greta into a coma from which she was never expected to wake up. How fricken depressing! I’m over these tumor trials and they better save someone (Rebecca?) in the finale!

Tucker showed up in this episode, as Tuck got kicked out of the hospital daycare for punching a kid. Tucker weighed in with his expert opinion, the child was angry that he was being left in daycare for hours a day when he’s clearly used to being at home with him. Okay Tucker, www.shutyourmouth.com! You are where? Oh yes, you are out dating and having fun and all that stuff you missed cause you “had” to stay at home with the kid. Bailey gave it to him, saying he had something and took it for granite, the luxury of spending all day with their son. She said she did not have the luxury of taking off work for a year knowing her job would be there for her to come back to. She felt she was sacrificing a lot for this family and he didn’t appreciate it. They left Tuck with George while they went to try and work things out. I’m kinda not wanting Baily to work things out with him, ans he’s being an arse at this point. I think he has severe female career superiority issues.

The show had a three punch ending. Mark got in the elevator with Erica and Callie. Callie teased Mark had been thinking about the threesome idea all day. Hahn ended up kissing Callie then telling Mark he just couldn’t handle them both. Hahn got off the elevator. Mark wanted to go to the on call room stat! A clearly kiss-stunned Callie followed. I am starting to wonder if we’ve been duped? What if Hahn isn’t a lesbian, but the whole point of this story was to make Callie face that she was?

Rose confronted Derek for basically sleeping with her then running away. Derek said he had already done complicated, he wanted this to just be easy and fun. She seemed to be okay with that. Oh boy, Derek needs to stop lying to himself as much as Meredith does. He seems to want to blame Meredith for the reason they broke up, but maybe he needs to be seeing Dr. Wyatt himself!

Finally Meredith went back to Dr. Wyatt and said after her father left, her mother tried to kill herself. She never told anyone that. She said she was broken and the doctor wanted to fix her, so fix her!

Grey’s In Hot Water Over Isaiah Again!

Grey’s In Hot Water Over Isaiah Again!

In the last episode of “Greys,” “The Becoming,” the show used an image of Isaiah Washington (Burke) which was featured in the newspaper article about him winning an award for his skills as a surgeon.

Well Isaiah is not happy, as they did not ask permission to use his photo, which makes what they did illegal. He’s filed complaints with the Screen Actors Guild and his lawyer has sent notices to ABC, looking for a settlement of some kind.

Grey’s Anatomy: Man Whores

Grey’s Anatomy: Man Whores

Posted by Dustin on 05.09.2008 at 7:31 pm

Grey\'s Manwhore! This episode of “Grey’s” saw the nurses revolting and refusing to work on Mark’s surgeries because he’s been such a man whore around the hospital. This also led to the return of Adele as a union rep for the nurses who filed a grievance. To settle things and keep any lawsuits from happening, a date and tell policy was enacted. Basically anyone in the hospital who dated one another had to put it on paper and sign it to avoid any lawsuits. Now I’m no lawyer, but I don’t know how legal this is. I mean I would think this gets in the way of people’s civil liberties and rights to privacy. I think this would be especially true for, oh I don’t know, possible lesbians who aren’t out or don’t want to come out?

The Chief meanwhile tried to prove to Adele he had changed, that he wasn’t working as much, and he made up some silly job for George which he called “The Chief’s Intern” in order to help him with his work load. Adele was impressed, enough to end up in bed with The Chief, but poor George wasn’t too happy when he finally realized he’d been bamboozled. Someone cut George a break for once please! I’m so hoping the spoiler for him for the season finale is what I’ve been hoping for.

Izzie struggled with not compromising the whole doctor-patient confidentiality thing with Ava’s condition to Alex, who is gung-ho about having this baby. Something is wrong with Ava obviously. She couldn’t be so stupid as to fake being pregnant and then come to the hospital. She must think she is pregnant. Something tells me the truth is going to be something shocking and potentially fatal for her.

The hospital found out that Burke had won some prestigious award, which sent Yang over the edge. She spent a long time in the morgue doing grunt work singing “Like A Virgin.” Hahn wasn’t happy either, she was in the running but thinks she was looked over because she doesn’t have a penis. That statement caught poor Callie off guard! Back to Yang though, Christina finally unloaded her anger at the end when asked to put her relationship with Burke on paper for the hospital’s policy. First I have to say, if something is in the past why bother? In case he comes back to sue? Oh well, whatever. I was proud of Christina for letting loose, letting everyone know that Burke won that award and there was no mention of her in his article. How she did all his surgeries while he was unable to because of his hand tremors. How he chose to leave but she stayed here, even though Hahn treats her like crap and won’t teach her. Go Christina! That’s the first time I’ve liked her in awhile. Something tells me this award issue could bring her and Hahn together . . . no not like that! That would be a shocker though!

Back to Callie and Hahn . . . Hahn finally confronted Callie about dating Mark. Actually she was basically just using him for sex really, sex all over the hospital whenever she felt like it. Callie finally admitted to her what Addison said about them being a couple and how it shook her. They both laughed, but then had this strange look at each other and it wasn’t so funny anymore. Somethings definitely going on here!

Mer-Der continues with their clinical trial. This week a soldier was brought in. As it turned out, his army buddy who came along for moral support was more than a buddy. Don’t ask, don’t tell, just get yourselves to the nearest motel! When the patient’s father caught them in a big smooch, he wasn’t happy at all. Of course the poor guy bit the dust shortly after the operation. Meredith then had her session with Dr. Wyatt, trying to convince her all in all it was a good day. Sick of her crapola, and the fact they were running out of sessions her health insurance would cover, she gave it to her with both barrels blazing. Wyatt said the gay soldier died today not being able to tell the man he loved that he loved him, and this was basically a metaphor for her and Derrek. Derrek is with Rose right now and not her, stop being a coward and get what she wants before it’s too late. Loved it! Of course Meredith just stormed out angry over being called a coward. Grrrr!

In the hilarious moment of the episode, sick of Mark moping because all his surgeries were canceled, Baily rounded up the nurses and told them all to stop complaining and do their jobs, they all knew Mark was a whore when they all slept with him. So true! Don’t whine that you got the wham-bam-thank-you-mam treatement when he’s known for it. Of course the real line was later in the elevator. As Mark contemplated to Derrek if he was anything more than a whore, Derrek admitted he slept with Rose . . . and thought about Meredith the whole time. Now who is the bigger whore? Ouch! Poor Rose is going to get her heart broken. I don’t know what she was thinking dating him in the first place, the whole hospital has to know his and Meredith’s history at this point.

Greys: Coding

Greys: Coding

Once again, this is less on the recap and more on my thoughts on the latest episode of “Grey’s.” I’m caught up with watching all the shows I missed last week, but I have fallen behind in the write-ups and that’s what I’m trying to do now without falling another week behind. Plus I’ve been doing a little too much recapping and not enough thinking :)

Meredith and Derek started their clinical trial to help the tumor guy, who was their first patient. Of course he didn’t make it. The real purpose of this story is obviously to get them working together again and talking. You could tell by the way he touched her hand he missed her and wanted to be with her.

Addison returned in this episode to perform surgery on a baby at Seattle Grace. Everyone of course wondered if she was coming back, but she wasn’t. She did however stir up some drama only the way she can. As much as I liked “Private Practice,” I love her character so much more on “Grey’s.”

Baily broke down to Addison and told her that Tucker had moved out and for the first time in 12 years she was sleeping alone. Ouch! We all saw this one was going to happen though. It’s sad, but maybe they’ll work it out. I have to say if we have to see Baily dating it will be odd and unusual.

Izzie dealt with a pregnant HIV woman in this episode who wanted an abortion, not knowing with proper care she could have a healthy baby. She finally gained the respect of her students in this episode when she whipped them into shape and took charge of her case. I hope we don’t have to see much more of her students moping and complaining, because it’s a downer.

Izzie and George finally set some real boundaries this week with her being a resident and him still an intern, and how he had his people to be with and she had hers. This is sucking, but again seems to be to facilitate a Lexie and George romance.

Addison question Callie about her new BFF Hahn and wondered if they had something something going on, was she speaking the Vagina Monologues? Hilarious, as funny as Callie telling Addison that she liked penis, really big penis! Later at the bar when it seemed they were being a couple in public, Callie felt Addison giving her a look and ran to Mark to prove something. To Addison or herself? It seems they are going ahead with this coupling.

Also we got a little resolution to why Hahn has been giving Yang the cold shoulder. She told Addison that she thinks Yang can be great, but she sees so much of herself in her.

Of course the highlight of the episode was Addison threatening to kick Meredith’s butt because she was letting Derek get away. I think Kate needs to threaten to kick Derek’s butt too, as he’s walking away from Meredith as well.

Grey’s Anatomy: Sparkle Pager

greysrose.jpg So “Grey’s Anatomy” returned last night with the episode “Where The Wild Things Are.” It’s been a few weeks since we last checked into Seattle Grace, and Derek and Rose have been on five dates now. Rose blurted out to Lexi she loved Derek, but it’s clear Derek isn’t there yet and still has a thing for Meredith. Meredith meanwhile has begun therapy for her issues, but isn’t really talking. She just read somewhere the act of going to therapy alone can be helpful. Lexi and George meanwhile are living in a run-down apartment which George refers to as their “crapartment.” To spruce things up, Lexie stole stuff from the hospital to decorate it. I think Lexi has a crush on George! Speaking of crushes . . . Hahn and Callie seem to be BFFs now and are hanging out late at night drinking wine. What’s going on there? I always thought she was a lesbian, but the show seemed to have squashed that when Mark asked her as much in one episode. Finally McSteamy seems a little steamed that Derek moved on from Meredith to Rose so quickly. In a hilarious elevator scene, he said he’d been patient and it was his turn now! Mark of course just thought it would be “boys time” for them to go out and play the field together. Derek called him out, it seems he’s having trouble getting women. McSteamy has run out of steam?

Most of this episode centered on the residents being involved in a competition with each other. They were all living in the hospital for 2 straight weeks in order to get in the most surgical procedures to win points. Baily was the judge of this competition. While Izzie was involved with a man with a sprained ankle, determined to find out if something more was wrong with him; the others were involved with a man, his new wife and his brother who were attacked by a bear. The man provoked the bear by touching the cub, something he knew better not to do. That coupled with the fact that he had poor vision, was behaving oddly and had married a rebound girl he’d known for ten days got Meredith thinking. She suspected a tumor and was correct. This won her the competition in the end because she solved a “medical mystery” and got a whopping 80 points for it. Her prize was a bedazzled pager, all the other residents have to page her for the next 3 months when they have a surgery and she can take it if she wants.

I have to be honest, this wasn’t the most thrilling episode for me. I expected “Grey’s” to return with a real bang. This was more of a filler episode for me. Next week’s episode looks great though. Addison is back and giving Meredith hell for letting McDreamy go. Meanwhile Callie is questioned about whether she and Hahn are dating.

A new poll is now up asking your thoughts on the return of “Grey’s” and what you thought.
