A Few ABC Spoilers for April . . . And Promising Body of Proof News . . . .

Posted by Dustin on 03.28.2012 at 8:33 pm

Not too many new spoilers for early April. Seems like a lot of repeats coming on again until the May Sweeps season takes hold. Given the amount of hiatuses shows take nowadays . . . is there even a point to sweeps anymore? Well moving on . . . .

ABC’s “Body of Proof,” which has been one of the shows that many have wondered if it will get another season, earned it’s best ratings for the season last night. Of course they also killed of Dani . . . . I was so angry! Poor Peter! Did they have to kill Dani? Why why why !?!?!?! They are also launching a new “Webisode” series for the show. Both bits of news give promise . . . because I’m gonna be pissed if we don’t learn what really happened to Megan’s dad!

On the Season Finale of “Body of Proof,” Megan faces a serial killer she herself helped put behind bars.
On an all new “Grey’s Anatomy,”Christina demands Owen tell her about his affair! Also some of the docs plan a ladies night for Teddy.

Bombs Dropped On Grey’s And Private Practice!

Bombs Dropped On Grey’s And Private Practice!

Posted by Dustin on 03.16.2012 at 2:59 pm

So first up, the bad news . . . it looks like we won’t get new episodes until April 5th. What what what ?!?! I know!

On “Grey’s,” Christina kept suspecting Owen of cheating on her with the nurse at the hospital. When she confronted the nurse, she said that she had a boyfriend, and it wasn’t happening . . . but when she told Owen he admitted he had cheated on her . . . which is how the show ended. What !?! No not Owen! Who did he cheat with? Who? Christina is going to kill whoever it was. My money is on April or Lexie . . . .

Other stories . . . well I don’t know what else was worth commenting on. I loved Mark trying to get Avery some “action,” and his lines were great. I was sad that Meredith returning to work with Derek winded up a total disaster, with a young patient paying the price. I really loved Debbie Allen’s return as Avery’s mom, I wish she’d join the show full time honestly.

Over to “Private Practice,” first off the whole thing with Jake’s daughter telling him about her first time . . . Ew! What the heck was that about!

I felt so bad for Violet’s boy toy Scott, who not only got the crap beat out of him, but his heart broke when he realized Violet and Pete were still a family and had a lot to work out. Noooooooo! Pete isn’t allowed to have any happy ending as far as I am concerned. Not yet at least.

Sam had to put Corinne in the hospital, which pissed her off. Great, now we have to watch Addison be there for him some more, which means more sex really.

Amelia decided to keep Ryan’s baby, and told Addison about it. Addison was happy for her. Knowing this show though, more than likely something will be seriously wrong with the kid.

Finally the show, after all the hope they gave us, decided to kill off Erica (Mason’s mom). What what what !?!? I mean why didn’t they let her die when and how she wanted to then? Give her (and us) hope, make her have this operation, and then still kill the character? The best part was once again watching Charlotte shine. Yeah, Amelia better be afraid about what is wrong with her kid!

The Grey’s and Practice Crossover: Saving Erica

The Grey’s and Practice Crossover: Saving Erica

Posted by Dustin on 02.19.2012 at 7:10 pm

I’m trying hard to remember what happened on this big “cross-over” event (I need to start taking notes!) . . . but honestly I was a bit bored by it. I remember more of the second hour, because that’s really the story I was interested in, saving Erica. I was so afraid she was going to end up living, but being a vegetable or in a coma. Thankfully they actually strayed from the normal “kill the patient” formula and spared her.

On “Grey’s” I loved loved loved Derek and Amelia working together on the operation to save Erica . . . and mending fences. I always hated the way in the past Derek treated her. He was so nasty . . . then again he does the same thing to his wife.

Christina and Owen entered therapy . . .but it seems to have just made things worse. Christina felt Owen knew going in she didn’t want a baby, but he couldn’t comprehend how ANYONE couldn’t want a baby. Really? REALLY? This from a DOCTOR! I mean you’d think if anyone would understand some people don’t want to have kids it would be a doctor! I don’t know, the hope for these two is dwindling with each episode.

On “Private Practice” I found myself liking a storyline with Sam for once. Though that was because it didn’t involve him in Addison’s bed. I really like the storyline they have going on with him and his long lost sister who is suffering from misdiagnosed bi-polar disorder.

I am sure what they are doing with Pete and Violet. I keep getting this feeling that Pete is regretting his discion to leave, and is trying to make amends with Violet. If this is about Pete wanting Violet back . . . OH HELL NO! If it’s about them trying to get along for Lucas’ sake . . . okay. But I just keep getting this feeling Pete wants Violet back. Sorry buddy, you blew that one. Meanwhile Violet’s paramedic Ryan wanted more from her . . but she wasn’t ready to give it. All she could give right now was no strings attached, mind blowing sex. He said he’d take it. I really hope though that it becomes more than just that. I get Violet is not ready to rush into something more, but it’s nice to see her with someone who treats her well.

Finally I absolutely adored the scenes between Charlotte and Erica before her surgery. Erica asking Charlotte to do things for Mason, and also saying Mason would need a mother . . . When Charlotte stopped her and said she’d always been Mason’s mama, I got a little misty! I also loved Charlotte’s interaction with Mason, explaining how the surgery worked and about the tumor. When he thanked her for being honest with him, my heart melted! I can totally see Cooper and Charlotte begin talking about having a baby now! Forget Addison, Charlotte has become the star of “Private Practice.”

Love Is In The Air? Grey’s and Practice Thoughts

Love Is In The Air? Grey’s and Practice Thoughts

Posted by Dustin on 02.12.2012 at 4:05 pm

So I was not all that enthralled by this weeks episodes of “Grey’s” and “Private Practice.” When they are on point, they are great. When they are off, they are usually dull. This week I felt for the most part, it was an off week. The later show is once again on my last nerve!

On “Grey’s” I did love the Ben and Bailey story, especially the end where he surprised her with a romantic dinner and was okay with the change of plans. You could see her insecurities from her previous marriage coming through, as her other husband never understood her schedule and need to be at work above all else.

We also got a bit more of the Mark and Lexie drama, as she hoped to try and have a nice evening with Mark and the kids (she was baby sitting Zola so Mer and Der could have an evening alone). But things didn’t work out, as when she showed up Avery was there too. Awkward!

Some progress was also made with Owen and Christina. Teddy blew up at Owen, saying she hated him for what he did, that they’d never be friends again, that she’d never forgive him. When she confided in Christina about this, using “we” instead of “I” . . . well it got things spinning in Christina’s head. I guess she didn’t want to be included in all things Teddy anymore! She was fighting with Owen about getting back on Teddy’s services in the beginning of the show. At the end she went to him to beg him not to hate her (as Teddy hates him). It was a good scene, but can their marriage be saved? It seems they just want too many different things and neither wants to compromise?

Over to “Practice,” Violet began to question/ponder her relationship with the hot paramedic and how it impacted Pete, who was upset because he had to work with this guy. Sheldon suggested she tell Pete it’s not a relationship, it’s sex . . . which is what Violet said it was. Pete however didn’t care what it was she was doing . . . the problem was he cared she was doing it. . . . What what what !?!?! So he can’t do it, but she can’t? Or was this Pete basically saying he still cared about her and maybe things weren’t over? Oh hell no! I can’t take this back and forth stuff!

Speaking of the back and forth stuff, Addison was there to comfort and help Sam as he reconnected with his long lost and mentally unstable sister. Sheldon was also trying to help diagnose her and get her on a proper course of meds. Addison’s definition of comfort and be there as a friend meant sex, and Sam didn’t mind. Jake however did and felt Addison needed to figure out what she wanted, then come see him. Oh hell no x2! Why can’t these people make a decision and stick with it. Why does Shonda seem to love Sam and Addison so much? Can’t we just break them up for good?

Here is hoping next week’s cross-over shows dealing with treating Erica’s tumor is a bit more interesting. Dare we hope she actually lives? These shows, after all, excel in killing people off just when we have hope they will survive.

Grey’s “What If” . . . How About a Private Practice “What If?”

Grey’s “What If” . . . How About a Private Practice “What If?”

Posted by Dustin on 02.03.2012 at 4:31 pm

On “Grey’s” we had a “What If” episode with Meredith wondering what if her mother never died, what if she had a good father . . . how would things have changed? It was fun to see how different every one was, and to have Ellis back and as The Chief. She was a power hungry monster, Bailey was weak and timid, Addison was strong while Derek was a failure, George flunked out and is still alive somewhere, Christine was an uber-bitch, Alex was a geek and engaged to Meredith . . . Basically everyone was totally opposite of how they really are . . . well maybe not Christina?

As I said, it was a fun episode, but it seemed that the point was you could play the “What If” game all you wanted, but perhaps some things were fated to be . . . As the episode wound down it seemed like everyone was slowly morphing into who they really were. Alex was caught cheating, Addison was consumed with a baby, Bailey found a backbone, and Meredith and Derek ended up together at the bar together . . . I did love seeing the one dead doctor (killed during the crazed gunman spree) back.

Too bad we couldn’t get a “What If” episode of “Private Practice” and erase some of this show huh? Like “What If” they didn’t save Pete! Pete caught Violet kissing Paramedic Scott and flipped. He didn’t want her seeing him anymore. Hello, you’ve been boning girls in elevators Mr. Man! Thankfully Violet unleashed holy hell on Pete, reminding him that he left her, he doesn’t get to tell her what she can or can’t do anymore. What an arse!

Erica got into an accident with Mason in the car, which infuriated Cooper. Long story short, Cooper and Charlotte convinced Erica to try and fight to survive. This of course is going to lead to the upcoming cross-over episode.

Sam got a call and had to bail someone out of the drunk tank in jail. She eerily looked very much like Sam and Naomi’s daughter, but we quickly learned in the final moments of the show that it’s his sister.

Addison and Jake went away on a conference, and basically the sexual tension between them built. He turned her offers for sex down. Based on the previews, it looks like she hooks back up with Sam . . . . WHY !?!?!?!? Again we need a “What If” episode that sticks! What if Sam and Naomi never broke up :)

Finally the deeply disturbing story of an army vet who returned from Iraq with a shameful secret, he had been raped by his sergeant. The story was apparently inspired by a Newsweek report last year on the rising number of reported sexual assaults of men in the military.

ABC February Sweeps/Valentine’s Week Spoilers!

ABC February Sweeps/Valentine’s Week Spoilers!

Posted by Dustin on 01.31.2012 at 8:34 pm

A bunch of spoilers for Mid-February here . . . of note there are two weeks of “Private Practice” as the spoiler release went out a bit later for it than the “Grey’s” episode for the same date. Previews for this bunch include . . . .

On “Private Practice,” Sam reconnects with his estranged sister.
On “Castle,” the first of a two-parter guest staring the one and only Jennifer Beals and “Drop Dead Diva’s” Jason Stamberg, both who play agents that work with Castle and Becket on an international conspiracy case.
On “The River,” the second episode finds the family/boat crew face to face with “guardians of the jungle.”
On “Body of Proof,” a body is found dead in a freezer of an Italian restaurant . . . I swear I watched this already? Or did “Castle” do a similar story?
On “Revenge,” it looks like we are finally nearing the present, where Daniel gets his at the engagement party?
On “Grey’s” and “Private Practice,” a two part cross-over as they turn to Derek to help Mason’s mom Erica with her brain tumor.
On “Desperate Housewives,” if you suspected Orson is the person who killed Alejandro . . . you may be right as he is back!
