So last night on “Heroes” Sylar became adopted by the carnival, though it became clear Samuel had some plan to use him somehow. He knew who he was and was trying to help Sylar remember his memories. A soothsayer felt there were two people in Sylar at war, which is why Samuel was trying to help him remember who he really was.

First of all, if Samuel knew as much as he thinks he does about Sylar, he wouldn’t want him there. If Sylar comes back, that Carnival is toast. Also what the soothsayer said is what I’ve been thinking would happen, 2 souls in 1 body, 1 can win out. I am really beginning to think the certain male hero who is being let go is going to be either Sylar or Nathan. I’m leaning more towards Sylar, only because this game they’ve been playing with him for 4 seasons now is wearing thin.

Ray Park’s character, the fast knife thrower, doesn’t like Sylar and doesn’t like that Samuel is pimping Lydia out to Sylar to reel him in. The little side story from Sprint has Lydia having a kid. With Ray Park’s character me thinks!

Peter took Hiro to the hospital where he learned how sick he was. Peter teamed up with Noah to go find a kid with healing powers to use on Hiro. Meanwhile Hiro helped Emma learn to cope with her powers and how they are gift to be used to help people. She kept warning him to stop using his powers as he had to wait for Peter. However he remembered something for his bucket list, saving his friend Charlie from last season. He warped out to save her just as Peter returned with the power to heal him.

Hiro of course also stands to be someone they could fire off, but honestly I don’t think it will be him. He’s been the face of the show for too long, even if his shtick is also running a bit thin. However this episode I actually really liked Hiro.

So it seems we’ve been here many times, someone is getting killed on “Heroes,” though this time it looks to be for good.

Ausiello dropped the first hints this morning, talking about a major leading man on a one time ratings powerhouse had just been coldly fired, and was filming death scenes next week. He didn’t reveal what show, only that it wasn’t “Grey’s,” but promised hints to come.

Now Kristin has basically come out and said the show is “Heroes” and it’s an original cast member. She said it’s someone she’s really going to miss.

Who do you think it it? It could be so many!

• Hiro has a brain tumor and is dying . . .
• Nathan is already dead, and I’ve been saying I think only one (Nathan or Sylar) will survive this season in the body (one body one soul)
• There is no love loss between the actors playing Peter and Claire, rumors ran rampant last year she wanted him fired after the couple broke up in real life (notice they haven’t been in scenes together anymore).
• Surresh . . . where has Surresh been all season?
• HRG seems to be a target of the Dark Carnies . . . .

P.S. I’ll try and add some thoughts on last night’s show (what little I watched) to the end of this post later. Everyone seemed to like it, I guess I’ll have to rewatch what I missed!

P.S.S. – The quick quick thoughts on what I can remember

Loved the introduction of the invisible girl. Totally out of left park, makes Gretchen look crazy, which is a plus since I’m not feeling her character.

The kiss between Claire and Gretched I think was way jumping the shark, like in a motorcycle and through a ring of fire!

The whole romance or whatever is going on with Peter and the deaf girl. I don’t know. I’m still not getting her power to be honest either.

Sylar not knowing who he is could be fun, but we’ve done this before haven’t we? He always goes back to being the guy we love to hate. Though I still hate him for killing off Elle!

Sylar showing up at the Carnival will be fun. However the whole “moves around thing” I felt was way too “Something Wicked This Way Comes” . . . which reminds me it’s the time of year to watch that one again.

So last night’s “Heroes” was okay, but again I find myself not getting too upset with myself if I’m distracted by other things while it is on. First a mini-cap then some thoughts.

Ando and Hiro’s sister are now planning to be married, and Hiro agreed to give her away. Ando was upset, knowing Hiro might not be alive by time the wedding was here, and wanted Hiro to tell her the truth. Hiro spent the episode trying to save some guy from killing himself. It was humorous because the guy kept shaming himself and getting fired for photocopying his butt over and over and over. In the end Hiro saved him and told Kimiko the truth. As they hugged, he got a pain in his head, then poof . . vanished!

HRG spent the episode throwing a pity party and wondering what his life had amounted too. Claire tried to snap him out of it. He felt he had done nothing but bring pain and misery into peoples lives, he hunted and locked people up. He decided to apparently to start trying to help people.

At that point, over at the Dark Carnival, Lydia the tattoo girl showed the leader Samuel a tattoo image of HRG. Samuel was angry, saying he was the past and no longer interested in them, why does she keep showing HRG to him. She said well now he’s interested again!

Tracy decided to go see the governor to get her job back. However as they were in a fancy restaurant having dinner, Tracy had to run to the bathroom. She began losing control of her powers and turning to water! Her powers settled and she returned, telling the governor off basically and walking out on him. (This is one of the stories I missed some of).

Nathan was concerned about new powers he was acquiring, not sure how he was doing so. He also had some fuzzy memories of his past. Angela tried to help him remember his past, but thanks to Sylar’s power of picking up memories from objects, it opened up a long buried secret. When Nathan was a teen he was messing around with the daughter of Angela’s best friend (Swoozie Kurtz’ character). They were drunk, at the pool, and well she hit her head and died. Angela used her powers and connections to cover it up and erase it from Nathan’s mind. Guilt ridden, Nathan told Swoozie the truth. Later Swoozie had Nathan kidnapped, taken into the woods, dumped in a grave, shot and buried. Of course because he’s Sylar, he didn’t stay dead . . . and when he rose from the grave he WAS in Sylar’s form!

My Thoughts
The best part of this episode of course was Nathan’s story, when he emerged from the grave as Sylar. From the previews though, even though he’s in Sylar’s body, it looks like he doesn’t know who he is.

Hiro’s story with the butt-copier was funny. However I just wondered if the sister doesn’t have a power? Hiro does, and both the parents did, so shouldn’t she have one? Maybe she hasn’t discovered it yet?

The Tracy story I was confused about. Again I didn’t pay close attention to that one. It was almost as if her powers were acting like a lie detector?

I wish they’d give more time to the Dark Carnies, as right now they’re what I’m interested in above anything else going on.

So I was busy writing last night while “Heroes” was on, so I only half-watched. I need to stop multi-tasking while shows are one, but have lots of upcoming deadlines unfortunately. Anyways, a quick recap . . .

Claire’s new roommate saw her throw herself out her window and fix her broken bones, in an attempt to find out the truth about her old roommates suicide. She pressed her for details and Claire finally decided to trust her, telling her the truth about her powers.

The guy from the carnival is in fact after his brother, well his late brother’s memories it would seem. He felt he could use Peter to get these and tracked Peter down. He put a tattoo of the compass onto Peter’s skin, and the compass began spinning. Meanwhile some woman (who I believe is deaf, there was a casting call for this character) was in Central Park where Peter also was. A man was playing a cello and she could see colored waves coming out of it. When he took a break, she went over and repeated what he had played and colors were going everywhere.

Tracy went to get her old job back, working for the governor of NY.

Finally Matt was still struggling to overcome his addiction, to using his powers. Sylar was still ever present, stuck inside Matt’s head because of what he did. He got Matt to give up on trying not to use his powers and accept who he is. By the end of the show Sylar said “Now let’s get my body back!”

My Thoughts
I find myself confused as to what the Carnival Guy’s power is. Drawing weird tattoos on people? Then what is the tattooed lady’s power? Is she like some kind of oracle that can see things his ink draws?

Also now we have that new woman/hero with her seeing color power. Not sure how that will really come in handy to be honest.

Where the heck has Mohinder been? Also are we ever gunna get an answer to Tracy’s sister Barbara and what the deal there is?

As usual, this is mostly a thoughts post, as trying to recap 2 hour premiers (or season finales) is usually too many details for me to remember correctly I have enough trouble nowadays getting everything right with a 1 hour show!

I actually thought it was pretty good. I found myself really liking the whole “Dark Carnival” characters and storyline a lot. That was my favorite part, and I wanted to know more about these people. Clearly the leader guy is searching for someone, and it appears the compass they were after might lead him to this person. I believe it’s his brother. But why was Danko hiding it? Is he somehow connected to the carnies?

Hiro and Ando’s storyline was originally bugging me. I was afraid once again they’d be the silly comical storyline. However once Hiro got involved with the carnival, it seemed that perhaps his storyline won’t be completely insufferable this season. Sorry Hiro fans, but as of late he’s been the worst thing about the show in my opinion, well his storyline at least.

Claire’s story at school was interesting, but I was shocked at how quickly they killed off poor Chelsea Brady! Did Claire’s new roommate, little Gracie Sheffield from “The Nanny” off her? Something is definitely off with her, but I think she has a power she’s hiding. She was too good at Guitar Hero, which she claimed she never played before.

Matt going crazy over Sylar I am not sure about. Is Sylar somehow trapped in Matt’s brain? That’s what the show is hinting. Peter meanwhile is realizing something is wrong with him as well. Did you see all the clocks he had on his desk. I still think there will be an ultimate battle between their two souls per say over the body.

Finally Tracy and Noah have teamed up, and dragged Peter into their mess as well. Seems they will be the ones looking into the “Dark Carnival.”

Where is little Micah hanging out now, and will we ever find out about Traci’s third sister Barbara?

Various casting news, some a bit old I know. I just lumped them all into one post.

Kristen Johnston (Third Rock From The Sun) will join “Ugly Betty” in the part Paula Abdul was supposedly up for, a side-kick to Amanda.

Joe Morton will join “Brothers and Sisters” as one of Justin’s college professors.

Jayma Mays (Glee) returns to “Heroes” for one episode as Hiro’s ill-fated diner waitress/love interest Charlie.
