Once Upon A Time: Back To Storybrooke!
So there is ONE episode left this year, and then the wait till January when “Once” returns. The spoilers for this episode are below, along with a crucial part left out that we saw in the previews at the end of this episode.
Much of the show was back story as to how Regina ended up with Henry. Well we already kinda knew how. I wasn’t really sure what the point of this was, other than to maybe drill into the audience that she really did love Henry? She almost immediately learned who Henry really was and what Gold was up to, tried to return Henry to the adoption agency, but couldn’t because she had fallen in love with him. However she remained afraid Emma would eventually come and ruin everything, obsessed with it actually. Dr. Jimminy Cricket told her she needed to forget her fears of Henry’s mother coming back for him, it was a closed adoption, and it would only cause more problems for her as time went on. Taking his advice, she took a forgetful potion . . . which explains why she didn’t see know who Emma was initially. Like I said . . . what was the point of all this? Some of these back stories are starting to irk me at this point, as they seem to be nothing more than time fillers. I’m looking at you Snow and Charming!
In Neverland present, Regina was able to save Henry after Pan tied her, Snow and Emma up to a tree that restrained them based on their regrets. Unfortunately for Pan, Regina has a black heart and pretty much no regrets as to what she’s done. She got free and ripped Henry’s heart out of Pan and returned it to Henry.
Everyone boarded the Jolly Roger to head home. I was somewhat confused as to why David/Charming was going and didn’t seem worried about dying and stuff. Apparently if you blinked you missed the explanation that Gold, released from Pandora’s Box, said he could heal him once they got back to Storybrooke. They also brought some water from Neverland with them to sustain him. I found this online when other people too wondered what was up with David going home.
Regina spelled Henry’s heart so nobody could take it again. Unfortunately Pan showed up to do just that, but not before Gold caught him and sucked him into Pandora’s box. Unfortunately unknown to them, Pan was able to switch his and Henry’s souls. Since he couldn’t take Henry’s heart, he took his body.
Oh brother! Please please please end Pan in the next episode, and for good too! I think the only thing I like that has come out of Neverland has been Tinkerbell. She too is on her way back to Storybrooke. She was given a vial of pixie dust that was found, and for a moment it sparkled in her hand. It’s clearly a sign that she hasn’t lost her magic, just her ability to believe as Regina pointed out.

Once Upon A Time: Peter Pan’s Identity Revealed!
I have to re-watch tonight’s episode as usual, but we finally learned who Pan is. Peter is indeed Rumple’s father!
I had always believed they were somehow related. Brother? Fractured Self? A few weeks ago I started wondering maybe his father? I mean it was there the whole time with Rumple constantly going on and on about not being like his dad. But then how did he get so young? Duh, magic! Sometimes the obvious is the answer, not some convoluted theory.
Next week looks to be the end of Pan, and sadly probably the mid-season break until January. I just hope the second half of the season is better. This was my favorite show until this horrid storyline came along. Let’s get back to Storybrooke and what we all fell in love with.
Oh and I all but lost total interest in the Wonderland spinoff. I think that’s a shame as it had so much potential, had they stayed true to Wonderland we saw in Once.
Once Upon A Time: Storybrooke Ahead!
So last week’s “Once Episode” was the sad story of Captain Hook’s origins and how he ended up Pan’s rival. It was not as exciting as I hoped it would be. Hook at least was able to cure David/Charming of his nightshade poisoning. Oh but there is a catch, he can’t leave Neverland as he will die if he does. Uh Oh! Please don’t keep this show tied to this island any longer than it has to be! Please!
Pan devilishly told Hook about Neil being alive and on the island, because he knew Hook and Emma were becoming a thing and that this would throw a wrench into that thing. This week Hook told David and Mary, and while the men wanted to make sure Pan wasn’t saying this to be cruel and to keep it from Emma until confirmation, Mary refused and told her that Neil may be alive. They later set out to find him, he was supposed to be hidden in some cave. However just like with everything on this island, there is a price to pay, a secret fear or truth has to be revealed to gain entrance. Mary admitted that as much joy that she has from finding Emma again, they missed her life, she didn’t get to be a mother. She wants another baby. Charming then had to admit he could never leave Neverland, and told her about the poison.
This week’s big draw was of course the entrance of Ariel the Little Mermaid. She rescued long haired snow in the past as she was on the run from Regina’s men. Ariel was of course in love with Eric, but he didn’t know she was a mermaid, as they only met once when she rescued him from a ship wreck. Snow was determined to help her, and then in stepped Regina with a plot to get Snow. Regina disguised herself as Ursula, who was only a myth to Ariel’s people, but did so and appeared to grant Ariel’s wish. She would allow Ariel to stay on land forever, and in exchange Snow would become a mermaid and could get away from the evil queen. Ariel thought it was a great idea, but Snow didn’t and saw it for the trap it was. When Regina did manifest and reveal her trickery, Ariel saved Snow, but at the price of losing her legs and voice forever. Meanwhile back at her castle, the real Ursula, well a weird CGI version of her, appeared in Regina’s mirror. She warned her that she is no myth, she is very real, and Regina better never impersonate her again! I think it’s a clue that we will eventually see Ursula. Whether that will be this season or next, who knows. I hope they land someone excellent to play her.
Meanwhile in the present Neverland, Rumple keeps talking to Belle’s image, who Regina sees and realizes is a trick of Pan’s, one of his shadows. So apparently he hasn’t been talking to himself all along. We got another clue as to the relationship between Pan and Rumple. Rumple knows how to kill pan, but to do so would be killing himself? Is Pan some weird fractured piece of Rumple’s childhood? I’m so confused! Regina and Rumple set out to get rid of Pan once and for all. She summoned Ariel who can travel between dimensions, apparently that’s a gift of the mermaids. Ariel of course wasn’t about to help Regina, but Regina said she could actually give her what she’s always wanted . . . Eric. Regina gave Ariel her voice back, and offered her legs forever . . . she just needs her to go to Storybrooke and deliver a message as to where they are and that they are trying to save Henry. Oh and as temptation for Ariel to do this, Eric just happens to be there of course!
At LEAST we are going to see Storybrooke again. That’s an improvement. I’ll post official spoilers when they are out. For some reason they’ve been keeping things under wraps. My guess is the network was waiting until the Ariel episode aired.
Once Upon A Time: It’s Time To Get The Hell Out Of Neverland!
So I had to watch the latest episode TWICE, because the first time I just got so bored and stopped paying attention. Of course the fact that I had a butt-load of work to do that night didn’t help. However they really need to get off this damn island! It’s killing the show at this point. At least that’s my opinion.
Tinkerbell was furious to learn that Emma and Company had no way off the island. She said she would only help them if they secured a way off the island for themselves and her. I’m sure there was more to the squabbling between them all, but even on the second watch, I was so damn bored!
Neil was reunited with his father, and the two teamed up to get Henry away from Pan. We did learn a few more clues about Rumple and Pan, in between seeing the past and how Neil/Bae ended up in Neverland to begin with. They played on the Pied Piper of Hamlin, having Pan being the piper. Rumple claimed he and Pan go way back, that they knew each other when he was a child. Hmmmm, is Pan his brother perhaps? Neil and Rumple did manage to save Henry, and magically poison Pan, but not before Pan told Neil about the prophecy. Oh and the fact that nobody leaves this island without his permission. Rumple swore to Neil that he had no intention of hurting Henry, but Neil didn’t believe him and ditched his dad to take off with Henry.
I’m sure other stuff happened, but like I said, I was so bored I couldn’t pay attention, even watching the show twice! PLEASE get the hell off this damn island!
Spoilers below for the next episode . . . .

Once Upon A Time: Coming Out Day . . . Almost!
So I was really surprised by where they went on the latest “Once Upon A Time.” I did not see that ending coming at all!
In Fairytale Land past, Regina had just married, or was about to marry, the King. She was still morning her true love, and still upset at Snow for ruining her life. Tinkerbell showed up and promised to help her find true love. She stole pixie dust from The Blue Fairy and used it to lead Regina to her soul mate. Regina was too much of a coward to meet him, all we know is he had a lion tattoo on his arm. She lied to Tinkerbell and told her that she was wrong, that the man was horrible, and that she a terrible fairy. Tink then got stripped of her wings by the Blue Fairy and turned into a mortal for being a bad fairy.
In Fairytale Land present, Mulan and Robin helped Neil get to Nevernever Land. They had to use Robin’s son to call forth Pan’s shadow, which would take him to Nevernever Land. However Neil ended up catching a ride, not the kid. Robin asked Mulan to join his band of merry men, but she said she had to see someone first. She had to come clean about her feelings and see what would happen. She then went to see Aurora. Aurora offered to get Phillip for her, but Mulan said it was Aurora she had come to see. Before she could say anything, Aurora told her that she and Phillip are expecting a child. Mulan hugged her, tears in her eyes, and then told her she was joining Robin Hood’s merry men. When we later saw her shake Robin’s hand, we saw the tattoo of the lion.
In Nevernever Land, Hook proposed finding and using Tinkerbell to get into Pan’s camp, as Pan trusts her. Regina however had a past with her and didn’t want to trust her. Emma figured out Regina had somehow wronged Tinkerbell, who later kidnapped Regina to kill her. Regina ripped her own heart out and handed it to her, telling her to do it, but warned her then she’d end up with a heart as black as her own. The two had girl talk and seemed to mend fences. Later Tinkerbell agreed to help them get into Pan’s camp. She also told Regina by not going to see the man the spell lead her too, she not only ruined her life, but his as well.
Meanwhile Pan continued to seduce Henry, showing him the drawing of the chosen boy, telling him that his mother was not the savior that he was. He felt Henry was the one to bring Magic back into the world. By the end of the episode Neil was dropped on the island and welcomed home by one of Pan’s boys.
I can’t figure Pan out. Is he good? Is he bad? He seemed genuinely good in this episode, wanting only to bring Magic back to the world. However he obviously has a motive we don’t know of yet. Hook already warned Emma and the others that Pan is the worst foe he ever faced. Then there is the link between Pan and Rumple that we haven’t explored yet. Maybe Rumple, as a child, spent time in Neverland?
Tinkerbell telling Regina that she ruined her life and the mans . . . I’m assuming this is because Robin ended up involved with Rumple, as did she? Also that he’s suffered much heartache with losing Marianne. I did immediately guess the man would be Robin Hood from the tattoo that obviously represented Richard the Lionhearted.
I NEVER saw the twist with Mulan coming. I always thought it was Phillip she loved, not Aurora. I didn’t even think Mulan knew Aurora. She pledged herself to help Phillip because he saved her life I thought? Now I want to go back to last season to review their storyline!
Once Upon A Time: Dead Charming Walking?
After what I felt was a great premier, this episode left me a little bored. I feel like we really don’t need to revisit Regina/Snow/Charming’s past anymore at this point unless it’s something really important. I swear some of those scenes of Snow rallying the villagers have been done before. I honestly said “Is this a flashback of a flashback?” at one point. The only good part of it all was we got to see the Magic Mirror again, after losing the actor to “Revolution.”
On the island we saw Rumple send the shadow off to hide his dagger, which he knows could be his undoing. He doesn’t even want to know where it is. I’m gunna guess Rumple taught Pan that trick? The shadow thing that is. We also saw Rumple try and get rid of that little doll, but he couldn’t. Belle appeared to him in some kind of vision (real, his mind?). He told her how he still worried he was a coward deep down, just like his own father. She tried to bolster his spirits, and it seems the doll was a gift from his father long ago? How did Pan get it then?
Pan gave Emma a map that would lead her to him, but it would only work if she could figure out who she was. After much failing, Regina used magic to reveal the map, but it only lead to a dead end and Pan told Emma he warned her about cheating! Later she finally opened up, no matter how it hurt her parents, that deep down she has always felt like an orphan. That revealed the map, but Pan said it wouldn’t matter. He said by time she finds Henry, he won’t want to leave this island. He also said by time she leaves, she really will be an orphan. We learn that during a fight with the lost boys, Charming has been cut by a poison sword that will mean his end.
Okay, so I doubt Charming is really going to die, so why they are playing this up is beyond me. I really wanna know more about Rumple and Pan, how they know each other, are the related … I’m thinking more and more they may be family.
What the hell happened to the mermaid they trapped on the ship last week? I’m guessing she is Ariel and figures in later on in the season.
Let’s get back to Neil and Mulan, they are actually interesting! We don’t need to see any more boring Snow White and Charming flashbacks.
ABC October 2013 Spoilers . . .
A few more spoilers for some upcoming ABC shows. I am going to try and jump into “Scandal.” I watched last week’s “Season 1 and 2 recap show,” but haven’t seen the season premier yet. I watched about five minutes of “Betrayal” and was bored by it. “Revenge” I haven’t even tried again either. I’m also doing my best to stay into “Agents of SHIELD” but it’s sadly losing me.
On “Once Upon A Time,” Tinkerbell arrives, and has a past with Regina of course.
On “Castle,” a hostage taker will only talk to Richard Castle.
On “Agents of SHIELD,” a mysterious woman with powers emerges.
On “Nashville,” Teddy plans to marry Peggy, who he thinks is pregnant.
On “Once Upon A Time In Wonderland,” Jafar and the Red Queen are at war! (Why is Jafar there?)
On “Grey’s,” Stephanie meets Jackson’s overbearing and overprotective mother. Run girl!

Once Upon A Time: Welcome To Neverland!
Tonight was the third season premier, and it was fantastic! First a summary, then some looming questions . . . .
As Emma and the others on the Jolly Rogers make it to Neverland, so do those two bandits (Greg and Tamara) who kidnaped Henry to take him to Peter Pan. Oh yeah, they also wanted to destroy Neverland. They are set to meet someone who is already in Neverland, someone they apparently work for. However when they get there, they find out they are unable to communicate with their contact over the walkie talkie they brought. They built a fire to try and signal “the home office,” but only got the Lost Boys instead. It turns out the Lost Boys are the home office, and Greg and Tamara have been duped all along. All they wanted was Henry, and Tamara and Greg are forever stranded. Pan, as the shadow monster, descended and ripped Greg’s soul out, while Tamara was shot in the back with an arrow.
During all the chaos, Henry fled and a mysterious boy who claimed to be a former Lost Boy came to his aid. The boy was wanted by Pan for stealing pixie dust in hopes of using it to get home. However he said it didn’t work. He feared they would both be captured, because Pan always gets what he wants. Henry convinced him to try and hide out long enough for his family to arrive to get him. They decided to hide in a place called the echo caves, and the boy lead him there.
On the ship, Emma began to blame her parents for all of this, for listening to them, for not taking Henry and leaving when she had the chance. Snow and Charming told her that they would get Henry back, they’d get their family back. She was tired of their insane optimistic outlook. Snow told her the minute she stops believing that things will get better, they won’t. As they argued, Rumple told everyone that he would go get Henry because Emma is unable to believe in anything, and that means she’d fail. Especially here in Neverland. He told her that Neverland is a place where imagination runs wild, and she has none. Rumple then vanished and flew off somewhere.
On the island, Tamara was still alive when Rumple found her. He healed her to help her, and she told him everything. She says she was duped, she didn’t know who she was working for this whole time. She begged forgiveness, but Rumple doesn’t forgive. He tore her heart out and crushed it!
Later Rumple met the leader of the Lost Boys. He said Pan was excited to see him again, and he could stay here, but he could not have the boy. If he went against Pan, he would not survive. Rumple says they both know he won’t survive, but the real question is how many Lost Boys he will take with him. The boy gave Rumple a gift, something that Pan wanted him to have. It was a small doll, which brought Rumple to tears.
Meanwhile Henry and his friend were being chased and ended up at a cliff face. Henry took the guys dust, knowing how to use it to make himself fly. His friend said it didn’t work, but Henry says that’s because he doesn’t believe. Henry led them off the cliff and they took to the skies. They were indeed flying.
Out at sea, the Jolly Roger ended up being attacked by a band of nasty mermaids. Emma went on a fishing expedition and managed to catch one of the mermaids. Regina got annoyed and threw a fireball to chase the others away, but the one they captured was pulled on deck. The mermaid quickly blew a seashell horn and told the others to let her go, or they’d soon die. Soon a storm from hell was conjured up. As everyone fought over what to do, Regina came up with a plan. She turned the mermaid into stone, hoping to stop the storm, but it only made it much worse. Snow told her to undo it, but Regina wouldn’t. Snow and Regina had it out, and as they fought and Snow called Regina a bitch . . . and things just got worse. Suddenly Charming and Hook wear also at each other’s throats. Emma realized the storm was being caused by hate, their hate and fighting was making it worse. Emma jumped into the sea to get them to stop fighting. One once there, she was stuck by something. Charming jumped in to save her, and as everyone worked together to get them back on the boat, the storm subsided and land was reached.
Once they got to land, Emma lectured them all that they have to actually learn to rely on each other. They don’t have to be friends, but they won’t get Henry back if they don’t work together and use the skills they have. Emma was sick of their fighting and took charge, saying she was now the leader so help her or get out of her way!
In Fairytale Land, Mulan and Aurora were tending to Neil, along with Prince Phillip. Neil came too, shocked that he was back home. Mulan was distrusting as always, but Aurora realized he was Henry’s father. She offered to try and contact Emma or Henry in the dreamworld for him. Mulan questioned him about the other world while Aurora slept. Later, Aurora woke up from her dream. She couldn’t make contact with anyone, she is worried. Neil knows his father would have a back up plan, he’d have something in his castle they can use. They were stunned to learn Rumple is his father.
As Neil and Mulan headed his way to his father’s castle, Neil told her his story. They bonded, as Mulan could relate being secretly in love with Phillip this whole time but afraid of being rejected by him. Mulan and Neil finally arrived and found Robin Hood guarding the castle and waiting for Rumple’s return, as he owes Rumple a debt. Neil was able to use an old cane of his father’s to reveal a hidden door in the castle. Beyond the door they found a globe. Neil struggled to get it to work, but eventually did. He was able to see Emma and was stunned. He knew she was in Neverland.
The show ended with Henry and his friend landing somewhere in the woods. Unfortunately his friend is not his friend after all. His friend is Peter Pan! Henry asked why he was brought here? Pan said he’s sought something extremely important for years, the heart of the truest believer. He now knows that it is in Henry after proving himself with the pixie dust. Pan summoned his Lost Boys, who all came out to get Henry.
My Thoughts . . . .
So the whole Island of the Lost boys is feeling way too “Lost” about now. I’m glad they killed off Greg and Tamara, and got rid of the whole “home office” crap quickly. I guess this means we will never find out about Greg’s dad? Did Regina really kill him after all?
I think we just got a huge clue about Rumple’s fate come this season. In talking with the Lost Boy leader, Rumple admitted that they both knew he wouldn’t survive against Pan. What what? Or will it be Henry who kills him as in the prophecy? I don’t believe they’d ever kill Rumple off for good though.
What’s the deal with the boy doll? Why am I feeling that Pan may be related to Rumple somehow? They clearly know each other.
Pan and his Shadow are clearly separated. Why do I feel getting them back together is the key to turning him around and finding out who Pan really is?
That’s about all I can think of in terms of questions this episode brought up . . .
ABC/NBC September/October Spoilers . . . . Plus Other Show Musings
Still trying to 1) get accustom to the fact that Fall TV has started and 2) figure out everything I’m watching this year!
I haven’t decided on “Betrayal,” and I’m over “Revenge.” I meant to try and watch “Scandal” this summer but never did and don’t want to jump into it in the third season . . . Maybe I can still at some reasonable point catch up via on demand/hulu as I know the first season was only 8 episodes.
On other networks, I actually enjoyed “Elementary” last season on CBS, at least when I was able to catch up on shows. Thursday nights are just too full as is, so I would watch them on demand later on. I missed the premier of “Hostages” on CBS, I’ll catch it on demand, though I don’t know if it will really grab me. They’ve moved “Hawaii-Five-0″ to the Friday death slot. I never covered it on here, and now I fear this is likely the final season.
On NBC I do plan to keep watching “Revolution,” even though last season irked me so badly. “Parenthood” and “Grimm” I of course adore.
On Fox of course is “Glee” and I think I’m probably adding in “Sleepy Hollow.” I just have to remember to DVR it!
Looking forward to “East End” on Lifetime.
Below are ABC and NBC show spoilers for those I know I plan on watching. Mini-spoilers before the full blown ones!
On “Grey’s Anatomy,” this is Christina’s last season, and possibly others. Richard is still alive though! Also the 200th episode with a big fund raiser ball.
On “Nashville,” Rayna’s in the hospital, Deacon’s in jail, Juliette’s all about herself. A new head at the record label will turn everything upside down though.
On “Agents of Shield,” watching the pilot right now and trying to figure it all out Spoilers for the next two episodes though.
On “Once Upon A Time,” the search for Henry in Neverland is on. A new Robin Hood and the Little Mermaid are appearing in the first two episodes.
“Once Upon A Time In Wonderland” premiers. Alice tries to find a way back to Wonderland after coming home and everyone thinks she’s insane.
On “Parenthood,” Hank returns to town to surprise Sarah, and Amber’s troubled boyfriend moves in!
On Revolution,” it’s a whole new world after last season with Rachel flipping the switch. What that means . . . not sure. We know they didn’t all explode though!

On “Once Upon A Time,” Emma and the others encounter a school of mermaids. Enter Princess Ariel!
On “Castle,” Castle and Beckett deal with the consequences of their decisions. Will Kate marry Richard, or leave him for DC?
