Parenthood: Slaps All Around!
Posted by Dustin on 11.16.2011 at 10:18 pm
It’s been a few weeks since I wrote about “Parenthood,” and as usual with show, a lot of people need to be slapped!
The Seth/John Corbett storyline I thought had a touching ending, with him getting out of rehab, staying with Amber, her realizing how hard her mom had it all those years . . . and finally ending with him giving her and Drew a stack of cards for birthdays and holidays he had missed through out the years. Awwww!
I am really feeling for Crosby with this whole Dr. Dan storyline and Jasmine. I loved that he stood up to Dr. Dan about the baseball game, but still feel bad for him. He hasn’t known he was Jabar’s dad for that long, and now he has to contend with super step father wanna be coming in. I was hoping Jasmine would start to see growth in Crosby with this new job, the business and his helping Christina with the baby. But maybe not.
I absolutely loved the latest episode with Joel and Julia dealing with the spoiled monster they created named Sydney . Her tantrum was hysterical, as was Julia sitting outside the bedroom door drinking while listening to her scream her lungs out. I still however don’t hold out much hope for that happy ending with Coffee girls baby
Adam and Crosby hired a young and sexy new office worker to help them run the studio. She was hit on all fronts, with Crosby, with the clients . . . but it was Adam she liked. At the end of the most recent show, after a few drinks, they shared a brief kiss. He broke it off, and told her that he loved his wife. However the previews seem to show Adam being drawn dangerously too close to her, and admitting the kiss to a very upset Christina. Oh Adam . . . I’m so disappointed in you! This is on par with Tom from “Desperate Housewives!”
Parenthood and Grimm Spoilers!

So we are hitting that TV time of year, Thanksgiving. When shows begin airing reruns until the new year. I am hopeful some shows that got a late start, like Grimm, will continue to air new episodes.
Coming up on “Parenthood,” Seth is released from Rehab, while Adam finds his marriage tested in a few ways.
On “Grimm,” Nick must protect the woman who attempted to kill his Aunt Marie, and Monroe faces his “big bad past.”
Read on for the full blown spoiler recaps for the next two episodes of each show.

Parenthood and Grimm Spoilers
Posted by Dustin on 10.25.2011 at 12:00 pm
There is no new “Parenthood” this week unfortunatly. However NBC’s “Grimm” does premier this friday! Here is the spoilers for the next new “Parenthood.” Nothing yet has been put out for “Grimm” however.
FORCED FAMILY FUN – November 1st
KRISTINA DEMANDS FAMILY TIME; JASMINE IS READY FOR A SERIOUS RELATIONSHIP AND SARAH RELUCTANTLY SUPPORTS SETH–JASON RITTER AND JOHN CORBETT GUEST STAR–Sensing her family growing apart , Kristina (Monica Potter) demands a family night that doesn’t go as she had expected. Crosby (Dax Shepard) fears Jasmine’s (Joy Byrant) new date will replace him as Jabbar’s (Tyree Brown) father. Julia (Erika Christensen) oversteps her boundaries with Zoe (Rosa Salazar) and Zeek (Craig T. Nelson) continues to have mixed emotions about Sarah’s (Lauren Graham) involvement with Seth (guest star John Corbett). Also starring: Bonnie Bedelia, Peter Krause, Mae Whitman, Savannah Paige Rae, Sarah Ramos and Max Burkholder.
Parenthood: So Long Alex, Is Mark Next?
Posted by Dustin on 10.13.2011 at 11:58 am
So we saw Alex decide to break up with Haddie on “Parenthood” an episode or two ago. Yay! I have a feeling he’ll be back, but I just can’t stand the two of them. And without him, she was on much less in the last episode, which was one of the best of the season.
Amber worked with Max in helping him write an apology letter to Jabbar for getting into a fight with him at school. She began to realize how his mind worked in doing so. I bet she’s going to decide to go into therapy/counseling for kids like Max.
Sarah’s new/old guy Mark got a little freighted when her ex Seth returned, very drunk. Seth got himself into a heap of trouble, and she’s trying to be there for him. I fear it’s going to cost her Mark though. His run was only supposed to be five episodes, so we knew it wouldn’t last.
The girl from work than Julia took a liking to eventually agreed to give Joel and Julia her baby, after she got to see how nice they were. This is just going to end in heartbreak all around, I already know it.
Finally Crosby stepped up and was there for Christina when her water broke. He stayed with her in the delivery room as she gave birth to her new daughter Nora. I suspect this will have Crosby a changed man. I think Christina will trust him more, he’ll take responsibility more seriously and I think it may make Jasmine to see him in a new light eventually.
Less Haddie and Alex = a better show!

Parenthood: Pardoning Alex
Posted by Dustin on 10.02.2011 at 5:49 pm
“Parenthood” I actually haven’t been too in love with lately. “Body of Proof” comes on at the same time, and I’ve found myself watching it, and checking in on “Parenthood” later. I hope things pick up soon!
I think may main issue so far has been the extreme focus on Haddie and Alex. For me, Haddie is the most unlikeable character on the show. She drives me bonkers. So I really don’t want to see her whine and cry about the trouble she got her boyfriend into. Fortunately Adam got the other parents to drop the charges against him. Hopefully Alex will wise up, dump Haddie and move on.
As much as Julia sometimes make me cringe, I do love her and Joel and would like more of a focus on them and their baby issues. Not silly diversions like asking the coffee girl if she can have her baby.
ant more Joel and Julia! I love them.
I can’t decide what will happen with Crosby and Adam’s business, or how this storyline will go. Given this show, I’m sure Crosby will somehow screw something up. Though it could be a way for him to continue to show Jasmine he’s growing up and taking responsibility?
The story with Christina and Adam mainstreaming Max was touching. I liked watching him trying to fit in, and Christina trying to give up some control. We also have Christina worried about their new child, whether she will have any issues. They did find out it was a girl in the latest episode.
The storyline with Drew having a crush on a girl, and Zeke helping him out, was cute too. Nothing really more to say on that one I guess. Not sure if it was a filler storyline, or they actually plan to take it somewhere.
Where did the whole Sarah and Mark story go to? Perhaps they didn’t have room for it and it will return? It’s been said that John Corbit is expected to return later this season as Sarah’s ex. Loved him on the show, so I’m definitely looking forward to that!

Parenthood Returns for Season 3!
Posted by Dustin on 09.14.2011 at 1:06 pm
Well, maybe 2.5? I don’t know, since the first season was really just a short run. It’s funny how much I enjoy this show, since last night also reminded me how much I want to smack the crap out of half of the cast!
Sarah found herself turning 40, and faced with Amber wanting to move out. Amber was sporting yet another new haircut, this one very 80s girl-band-pop-punk. She also was rebelling in other ways, like wanting to move into this horrible loft with no real kitchen area . . . and given what it looked like I would hate to see the bathroom. Sarah meanwhile was on a quest to get Amber’s diploma, which never showed up. She ran into the old teacher and they made out. I always liked these two, but given this is Sarah, I won’t get my hopes up. Jason Ritters run is said to be limited, as NBC is trying to make yet another show for him (after the failure of “The Event”).
Crosby and Jasmine are still living apart, but sharing custody of Jabbar, who has gotten really big. Crosby started to date, well sleep around, which got Jasmine a bit angry. It seemed like she didn’t want him dating, but when she realized she couldn’t stop him, she claimed she was doing the same. They’re not together and she still is playing these little control games with him. Mind you he’s still an ass for screwing things up, but neither of them have learned anything it seems!
Adam is still jobless, and Kristina is VERY pregnant now. Kristina got offered more work, which sent Adam into a “I’m the man I should take care of this family rant.” Minus points for Adam! In the end Crosby and Adam, it seems, are going into the recording studio business together – buying an old studio that is only marginally less frightening than Amber’s loft at this point. I hope they buy everything IN it as well, because maybe all those famous bands Crosby said recorded their left behind some long lost songs.
Julia still isn’t pregnant, but everyone around her is, including the coffee girl at work. She wants to offer to buy her baby – oh boy! The minute they start to adopt, she will of course get pregnant I’m sure.
Finally the best, or worst, is left for last – Haddie! Not only has her hair gotten more tragic, so has her life. She talked Alex into going to a senior party with her, everyone including her got puking drunk, and Alex got arrested when he punched a kid who wouldn’t let him take Haddie home. Of course the cops arrest Alex . . . not all the drunk underage kids. Alex, who also has a prior, is now facing serious trouble. Yes Haddie, this is all your fault as usual! I just want this entire storyline to go away. Can we send Haddie to reform school?

Jason Ritter Returns To The Hood!
Posted by Dustin on 07.07.2011 at 4:19 pm
Ausiello over at TVLine just reported that Jason Ritter will return to “Parenthood” for season 3 for a multiple-arc guest spot.
“Parenthood,” it was just announced by NBC, will be returning on September 13th.
Don’t get too attached to Jason, aka Lauren Graham’s love interest from season 1, as there is word that NBC and the “Parenthood” execs are trying to build a new show for the star.
