Pretty Little Liars: Red’s Reveal And Still Alive . . .

Pretty Little Liars: Red’s Reveal And Still Alive . . .

Posted by Dustin on 03.20.2013 at 5:11 pm

I’m gunna have to rewatch last night’s winter finale of “Pretty Little Liars,” as I know I missed a lot, and I was really confused! Then again, this whole season has been confusing.

Toby who was dead, then wasn’t dead, then was dead, is now not dead again. We learned Spencer is the one who posed as Alison and took Marcus (Ezra’s kid) from school, only to lure Mona in and find out what she was up to. She was trying to convince Mona she had joined the -A team. That led her to Toby, who swore he was really on their side. He said he joined Mona and the -A team for the same reason she did, to find out what was going on.

Spencer meanwhile acting as -A sends Hannah and the other girls clues so they think she’s turned to the dark side, but really it’s to lure them to her so they can try and take down Mona together and find out who -A/Red Coat is.

Spencer’s family throws her a party, and she uses it to try and lure the mastermind out. Meanwhile Jenna finally returns, and it seems her surgery is failing and she’s losing her vision. She is plotting (?) with Paige’s ex Shana, the girl who Alison got kicked out of college I believe, and Melissa (?) Oh brother! They must have been involved with that ATM club of guys, or whatever they were called.

-A/Red Coat masterminds her/his own plan to basically cook everyone up in a housefire at Spencer’s party. Toby flip flops sides again, so we don’t really know whose side he’s on as the fire starts. The house is set a blaze, with Mona flipping out. She didn’t know who Red Coat was either, she was trying to find out too! Unfortunately the fire burns up the evidence she’d collected it seems. The girls all manage to escape, Mona is now on -A’s S-list with the others, but they get a glimpse of Allison in a window and running away! They know it wasn’t a ghost. They all saw Allison. They are all in agreement.

The end of the show has the girls finding that damn cop car of Wilden’s, with a laptop showing it was Jenna and Shana that saved Wilden after Hannah’s mom ran him down. They also open the car trunk, and screaming at what is inside . . .

First, I guess someone is dead in the trunk? Great, more explaining for them to do to the cops! I think it’s time to come clean!

Second, on Allison being spotted . . . All season long, and even last season, they’ve dropped so many hints that the “ghost” of Allison the girls keep running into is anything but a ghost. They have talked about how real she is, and she’s always pointing them in the direction of clues. I can’t figure this out. The ghost is helping them, but the Red Coat version is against them?

BOOK SPOILER! . . .
I’ve still not finished the books, and they’ve deviated a lot from them them already. Who knows what they will do. However it comes out that Allison had a twin sister (this is some “Days of Our Lives” shiz going on here). So I don’t know if Allison is the good ghost and the sister is -A, or if Allison is alive and the sister was killed in her place . . . .

Pretty Little Liars Winter Finale Approaches!

Pretty Little Liars Winter Finale Approaches!

Posted by Dustin on 03.17.2013 at 4:54 pm

This week is the winter finale of “Pretty Little Liars,” which should have a shocking reveal if past season finale’s are to be followed. My guess is the identity of “Red.”

I fell behind in posting on the show because I missed one week and had to play catch up, and also because things just got complicated! I mean Toby and the scummy cop have gone from dead one week, to not dead the next, and now it seems Toby is dead again? Ahhhh!

Spencer got herself locked up in the sanitarium, and for a 72 hour psych evaluation or whatever she got put in there for, she’s been there a long time! She’s been snooping and learned that Melissa’s ex-fiance Ren, who works there, seems to be the one who let Mona out and visitors in. Spencer got a visit from the ghost of Alison helping her to much needed clues. That ghost sure gets around . . .

Caleb’s real dad got a job at the church, thank’s to Hanna’s mom, but then it seems a bell he sent off for repairs came back as a fake . . . and 8000 dollar bell! Caleb thought his dad was still a crook, but in the end Hannah and Caleb found out that -A set daddy up!

Aria also got setup by -A when someone pretending to be her picked Ezra’s kid up from karate practice and took him to a carnival. Okay this kids mom went all nuts on Aria because he hurt himself while disobeying Aria while she was watching him, and now he goes off with a complete stranger? I think we found the problem here . . . When she finally found him, the kid said he went with Aria’s friend Alison! Aria ended up dumping Ezra out of fear that -A could hurt him or his son.

All in all, they definitely seem to be hinting that Alison is not dead, and she could be “Red.” This week should be good!

90210, Castle and Body of Proof, PLL, Smash and Dallas Quick Thoughts . . .

90210, Castle and Body of Proof, PLL, Smash and Dallas Quick Thoughts . . .

Posted by Dustin on 02.20.2013 at 7:54 pm

Man I sure am having some issues with the shows I tend to watch as of late. They aren’t holding my attention like they use to, and it makes me miss shows like “Desperate Housewives” and “Brothers and Sisters.” A bunch of shows are returning in March, so hopefully they will be a little more exciting.

90120
Shane’s sister and Silver’s surrogate continues to be sketchy. As it turns out she can sing and made sure Dixon heard her singing . . . Something tells me a big ole baby bump will get in the way of her singing career.

Liam had to testify against Ashley the cop and went bonkers, leading his other cop friend to suggest he may have PTSD. Zzzzzzz

Noami ended up tracking down her and Annie’s shared half brother, who is a chef, and they are opening a restaurant together. She’ll be the face end of it, he’ll do the cooking. I had actually completely forgot about their half-brother! It took me a while to remember the whole storyline actually.

Castle and Body of Proof
Both “Castle” and “Body of Proof” ended up doing storylines where the main characters daughters got abducted. Odd! On “Castle” they’ve finally been returning to the senator who is responsible for Becket’s mother’s death. I can only hope “BOP” will bring back the mystery of Megan’s father’s suicide as well. I will say I was not a fan of Peter’s death, the ousting of all the cops and bringing in Mark Valley as her new partner and love interest. What happened to the hunky gardner? Oh yeah he’s on a new TNT show . . .

Pretty Little Liars
This week’s episode and the strange “killing” and disappearance of Detective Wilkins by Hannah’s mom was definitely great. Where did his body go? Is he really dead, or is he on the A team?

Ezra returned and made it known to Aria he wants her in his life. Aria didn’t tell him about getting a little too close to his brother, and Ezra’s mother showed back up and Ezra finally stood up to her and put her in her place. Eh, wasn’t all that thrilled with this part of the show.

Spencer finally broke down at the very end and told Aria that she knew one person who was helping Mona out . . . It looks like she’s finally going to tell the others about Toby, unless there is a huge twist coming. Spencer’s sister Melissa was back too, and we learned once again that Melissa may have had a motive to kill Alison. The night she died Melissa was on a rampage to get a tape she had. The tape we’ve seen bits and pieces of over the year.

Smash
I’m not sure where “Smash” is going this season. I liked the first hour, since then it seems to be floundering. Money troubles have tied it up, suddenly they want the whole book re-written, Ivy is acting in a play and Karen is pulling Derrick into her new potential love interest’s emerging-still-being-written musical.

Julia is going head to head with the guy that was hired to help her rewrite “Bombshell’s” book. She hates him, he pushes her buttons, the countdown is on until they sleep together. Recycle plot #48! Meanwhile after Tom coached Ivy to a new job, she suggested he go into directing. I can now see him and Derrick sparing over who will direct Bombshell.

Dallas
Most of this week’s “Dallas” was about Anne’s day in court for shooting Ryland. He and his mother framed the hell out of her, and it wasn’t looking good. Their daughter Emma overheard Anne and Ryland arguing in the hospital, so she now has some kind of a clue as to what kind of man her dad is. My guess is she’s always known, she’s just been so brainwashed. Christopher pleaded with her to get on the stand and tell the truth for Anne, but she didn’t. When Anne was found guilty, she ran out of the court room. My guess is she’ll find evidence to help Anne out. There has to be cameras in that big ole mansion of theirs, Ryland definitely seems like a paranoid guy to me. If they can get a video of what he said to her, they may be able to prove it was a crime of passion and she reacted to what he told her. I mean hey it’s Texas, doesn’t everyone carry a gun in their purse down there?

John Ross is continuing to undermine Elena in order to get her to default on her loan to his mom so he can snag her shares. However JR continues to learn of John Ross’ betrayals with Cliff and Rebecca. Don’t mess with JR son! Sadly we are coming up on the episode where JR will be shot, and this time he won’t be coming back.

Pretty Little Liars: Who Is In The Red Hood?

Pretty Little Liars: Who Is In The Red Hood?

Posted by Dustin on 02.07.2013 at 8:04 pm

So the past few episodes of “Pretty Little Liars” seem to be moving a little slower than normal, and introducing various side stories that I don’t know where they will come into the bigger picture.

With Fitz off meeting his baby, Aria was getting to know his little brother who feels sore that Ezra left him to cope with their overbearing family. She definitely felt he was cute, but he has a bad boy streak.

Caleb meanwhile suddenly became interested in his dead beat dad who ran out on him when his grandma’s old house was going up for sale after her death. Hannah pushed him to visit it and look through things, which is where they ran into his dad’s brother. Long story short, it looks like Caleb’s uncle might actually be his bio dad . . .

Spencer remained nasty as ever, but hasn’t seemed to tell any of her friends what is going on with Toby. She’s hired a PI to track him down in hopes some part of him actually did or does love her, but she just seems to keep getting her hopes dashed.

Alison’s body was returned to her family for a second burial, but the things they all put in her casket are still in A’s hands to be used to torture them. Spencer had had it with pretending to mourn for Alison, as she was a terrible person. She also told Jason that they suspect Alison was pregnant when she died, it might be why she died, and they believe Jason’s old friend the Detective was the dad! Drama is coming!

The big twist in this episode came when Emily went to see the psychiatrist to deal killing the guy who stalked her and Maya. She ended up using hypnosis, and remembering a whole lot more than she bargained for. She remembered the night at the graveyard when someone dug up Alison’s body and left her unconscious there. She remembered in the background was a girl with blond hair and in a red hoodie. She couldn’t see her face, but she was the real A, she’s who is in charge. Aria said what they were all thinking, could it be Alison? Could she actually be alive?

I’ve been thinking this for awhile now. Whenever they have these “dreams” that Alison has visited them, they’ve all remarked how real she actually seemed to them. I’m thinking Alison could be A and she’s trying to find out who tried to off her and punish them, as well as punish the girls for some reason? Though then why would Toby and Mona who seemingly hated Alison work for her or help her? Hmmmmm . . . .

Pretty Little Liars: Who Is Calling The Shots?

Pretty Little Liars: Who Is Calling The Shots?

Posted by Dustin on 01.30.2013 at 6:55 pm

The liar’s lives definitely seem to be falling apart as of late.

Meredith lost her marbles trying to get Allison’s diary pages back from Aria. She was drugging Aria in order to try and find where she hid the pages that incriminated Byron. We don’t know if she wanted to protect him, or blackmail him herself. In the end Byron swore to Aria that he never did anything to Allison. He refused to give her the money, he was going to tell her mother the truth, but then Allison went missing and he just kept his mouth shut.

Spencer learned that Toby was not on her side at all, and that he was working as one of the -A team. She caught him trying to get his hands on a key the girls had that -A wanted. She hired a detective to find out what the key goes to, and what Toby is up to.

Paige and Caleb teamed up to try and find a way to bring down Mona, because they were tired of living in fear for themselves as well as the ones they loved. Hannah found out about them and wasn’t so thrilled. This lead into a hilarious issue with Hannah spying on them and getting busted for underage drinking at a lesbian club.

It turns out Maya apparently found some things of Allison’s in her old house, which Nate got ahold of in his stalking of her. Nate’s family shipped them to Emily thinking she would know what to do with them. One of them was a journal of Allison’s which revealed a huge secret she had kept from them all. It turns out after a fun weekend with some of the older kids, Allison was late and thought she was pregnant. Was she? We don’t know. Emily decided to give the diary to the police as it was evidence that could indicate why Allison was killed.

At the station Detective Wilkins was back and thanked Emily for turning in the diary. However later Hannah and her saw a photo of Detective Wilkins and one of the other older girls (CeCe) from that big weekend trip to Cape May on a bulletin board of memories. Yup, looks like the Detective may have had a reason to off Allison if she got knocked up with his kid! I’ve always found him suspicious.

We learned that neither Mona nor Toby are really in charge of things, that someone else is calling all the shots. Said person set Aria and Spencer up in the latest episode, which forced Spencer to defend Aria to Ezra. She thought Aria told him the truth finally and Ezra dumped her. She let him have it, only to learn Aria hadn’t told him. Ezra left town to go visit his son, crying to Aria that he’d call her. Uh huh, it didn’t look that way to me!

At the end of the latest episode Spencer lashed out at Aria that perhaps they all deserved what they were getting, and if they stopped lying then -A couldn’t hold anything over them. That was the “duh” moment of the century. Why they don’t go to the cops with everything is a mystery! Then again, there would be no show either.

Below are spoilers for the next three episodes airing in February . . .

Pretty Little Liars: Another -A Team Member Revealed?

Pretty Little Liars: Another -A Team Member Revealed?

Posted by Dustin on 01.16.2013 at 11:37 am

So last night I caught up on two hours of “Pretty Little Liars.” Mona is back at Rosewood and causing major drama for the liars, while Toby still seems to be doing her bidding on the side. Jenna left town after Garret’s death on the “Ghost Train” as she feared she’d be next. Spencer meanwhile was worried for Jason, who was the last alive member of the NAT club. There is still no word on where Melissa is.

Mona returned to school and played everyone like a fiddle. She got everyone to somehow feel sorry for her and believe she had gotten better, while still plotting the whole time. She tried to get Hannah back on her side, but Hannah learned from Lucas that Mona was constantly breaking out of the hospital and was blackmailing him still. She even had Toby try and run him over, though they don’t know it was Toby.

Aria still hasn’t told Fitz about his kid, and -A is pressuring her too. She also learned more about her dad’s involvement with Allison. It seems Allison was blackmailing him over the whole Meredith affair. He couldn’t give her anymore money than he had without it being noticed. She didn’t like that and told him that he had till Labor Day Weekend when she’d be back in town to fork over the money. That’s the night that Allison was murdered. Byron apparently plastered his wife with wine that night, knowing she’d pass out, so he could sneak out to meet Allison. It’s definitely looking like he could have killed her, but I’m sure it’s a red herring.

Mona and Jason have been cozying up, which has worried Spencer. Near the end of the last episode we saw Mona tending to a wound on Jason’s side and trying to keep it hidden. It would appear that Jason is on the -A team, as Aria stabbed someone trying to push her off the ghost train with a screw driver. His wound definitely looked like it was caused from that. I feel bad for Spencer as both Toby and Jason are in cahoots with Mona, and she has no idea!

The last episode also had Aria and Meredith finding common ground over their concern about Byron. Meredith knew about the blackmail, and both she and Aria worry whether he killed Allison or not. Sometime tells me Aria shouldn’t trust Meredith. Meredith wanted to dispose of some incriminating pages from Allison’s diary that Aria got her hands on, but Aria insisted she had hidden them. If Meredith isn’t in on this with Byron, I think she’s on the -A team too. At the end of the episode after Byron left his office late at night and Mona then swooped in, calling someone saying that he just left . . . .
