True Blood: Day Walking

True Blood: Day Walking

Posted by Dustin on 09.01.2010 at 4:00 pm

There is only one episode left in the season, and this episode seemed to set the stage for it on many fronts.

As I guessed from the promos last week, Eric used Sookie’s Fairy Blood to set Russell up to Day Walk into the light, where he’d meet the true death. However we were left with Russell and Eric handcuffed outside of Fangtasia. Will Sookie come rescue Eric? Will she heal him with her blood? My guess is yes . . . but also knowing the story for Book 4 . . . my guess is this might be how they are going to concoct that major issue involving Eric.

I’m also guessing after Bill deceived her yet again, with Eric’s plan and pretending to be complacent in giving her up to Russell, that Sookie’s going to have major issues with Bill and soon. This again might help facilitate pushing her towards Eric, and the story for the 4th season? If you want to know the spoiler, I’ll post it at the end :)

Sam was an angry SOB in this episode, pushing everyone away. Sam is one of my favorites on the show, so seeing him act like this is annoying to me. Also as posted by CG in last weeks comments, this just seemed to come out of nowhere. I guess learning about his own crappy family made him dredge all this up? I dunno. I did like that it allowed him and Tara to bond. Well okay, they just *bleeped* as they put it. But I would love to see them get back together.

Jessica came clean with Hoyt, saying she accidentally killed a guy, and she can’t live on Tru Blood. He then told her to drink him, which she did. Meanwhile we learned Hoyt’s mama was behind trying to set Hoyt up with Summer, to get his mind off of Jessica. This probably won’t end well at all. I could see the mom, in trying to kill Jessica, shooting Hoyt! Maybe we’ll get lucky and she’ll shoot Tommy, who seems to be up to no good after Sam threw him out (during his drunken fit). He was trying to break in somewhere.

Jason worked through his various issues, or tried to, and agreed to give things with Crystal a shot. She however wanted to stop her dad and half-brother, who were apparently going to endanger some people with their drug dealing. I didn’t catch all of this, mainly because I’ve grown bored with Crystal. It looks like they’ll have a gun blazing showdown in the finale though.

Arlene tried a magic tea concoction of Holly’s to spontaneously abort the baby. She began bleeding and thought it worked . . . but it didn’t! She’s still pregnant, which Terry is thrilled about. Will Arlene have the baby? Will it be possessed by Renee’s spirit? Who knows. One thing is for sure, not much time has passed, so it should be a long time before we see this kid born! Unless they speed up things soap-style, or claim he’s a supernatural baby and speed the process up that way.

Finally after the V-trip, Lafayette began seeing Jesus in a whole new light. He had this scary face to him. To me that means he’ll probably start going down a dark path like his grandfather.

SPOILER for SEASON 4! Read on . . .

Brief True Blood Thoughts: Fairies, Witches and Panthers Oh My!

Brief True Blood Thoughts: Fairies, Witches and Panthers Oh My!

Posted by Dustin on 08.26.2010 at 9:12 pm

So Sookie finally found out what she was this week, she’s a fairy! She also learned from Bill that all supernaturals believed Fairies were wiped out by vampires for some reason. Bill later learned from Eric why the queen wanted Sookie . . . . there is a rumor that Fairy blood protects them from sunlight. Bill said only momentarily, then you begin to burn. Hmmmm, that’s it? Really? There has to be more.

Russell mourned Talbot this week, by hiring a hooker to pretend was Talbot. It was little Navid from 90210, who looked more his age as a sleezy hooker than he does on his own show. Sadly he didn’t last long, Russell staked him to pretend he was with Talbot at the moment of his death. I thought maybe they’d turn him, but that might be hard when you have no heart.

Meanwhile Eric was trying to devise a plan to save himself from Russell coming for him. It seemed he got an idea to use Sookie and chained her up in Fangtasia. Was he going to hand Sookie over to Russell, who wanted her because the queen did? I don’t think so. Based on the previews, and what Bill told him, I think he plans on dragging Russell out into the light to burn.

We learned where they seem to be headed with Lafayette and Jesus’ story, and it looks like they are trying to suggest they are Shaman. They went on a V trip and saw some of their ancestors. Jesus has a grandfather who is a powerful evil sorcerer, and Lafayette’s family used to practice conjure. I’m guessing Jesus’ grandfather, who always had plans for him, might be coming for him soon?

I had some issues with all this, mainly because I know too much about it (cause it’s a class I teach). The magics the family practiced, at least Lafayette’s, is not something inherited as they suggested, it’s folk magic. I do give them credit, though it might be a lucky guess, for making them Shaman. Often Shaman were in fact gay/lesbian/bisexual, as in many cultures they were a third gender (neither male nor female) and thought to be innately blessed (as well as have the power to shapeshift, including between genders).

I am not a fan of Sam’s darkside storyline honestly. I don’t like Tommy either. I really don’t like any of Sam’s storyline this season, but I like Sam! Tara learned Jason was the one who killed Eggs, so here is hoping she ends up with Sam again. I’d like that story.

Jessica choosing Hoyt made me happy, but not as happy as her bitch slapping Tommy the pitbull into the woods to save Hoyt from his attack! Then her giving him her blood to save him, they are connected for good now. Yay! I have a feeling Tommy might not live till next season, which would be fine by me.

Arlene told Terry the truth about the baby, and he stepped up and didn’t walk away, saying she needed to keep the baby and he’d raise it. However she knew it would be evil and went to Holly for help. Holly came out of the closet as a Wiccan in this episode.

Finally Jason learned exactly what Crystal was, a were-panther. Aside from Lafayette and Jesus, I knew all the other shockers from friends who read the books. Still, it was a good show with a lot crammed in it.

Best line of the episode? Pam wins for “Blah blah, Vampire emergency, blah blah blah.”
Runner Up? Lafayette for “That’s a whole new level of white trash.”

SPOILER ALERT! The actor who played Russell has given hints as to the end of the season and next season. While many people apparently come for him, it seems whatever happens, there is a chance for him in season 4.

True Blood: Russell Goes Cuckoo For Cocoa Puff!

True Blood: Russell Goes Cuckoo For Cocoa Puff!

Posted by Dustin on 08.16.2010 at 8:58 pm

Sadly due to a household issue I had to attend to, I missed a good chunk of “True Blood” last night, and for some reason it’s not repeating until 9pm tonight. So I’m writing this before re-watching it, so my thoughts are a little shorter. In fact I just finished the post and am trying to proof it right as the episode is about to begin . . .

So as it turns out Franklin wasn’t dead after all, but now he is as Jason shot him through the heart with a wooden bullet. We’ll just ignore the fact that it is completely impossible to have a wooden bullet, as it would splinter and explode in the gun’s chamber. Then again, vampires, werewolves, etc . . . aren’t real either . . .

I love that Hoyt tried to make up with Jessica, telling her that he missed her and such. I know this doesn’t follow the books, but I like them together! A lot more than I like her with that snot Tommy, who is now on my nerves after this latest episode. So glad Sam told him off. Maybe he deserves to be saddled with his white trash parents.

Lafayette’s mom once again gets the best line for “I’ll be damned, maybe God does love the faggots.” The previews for next week seem to indicate we might learn what this “power” within Lafayette is. Can’t wait hookahs!

Bill, via a trip to lala land, learned what Sookie in fact was. It seems he’s about to tell her, but the previews for next week once again have Eric back and trying to convince Sookie not to trust Bill. Oh boy, how long will we have to wait till Sookie finds out what everyone on earth has at least googled by now if they haven’t read the books.

Sookie learned Hadley has a son, her nephew, who also has the gift. I don’t know if this is in the books (cause I need to get through “Pretty Little Liars” before I start these books), but all I could think was “I see dead people!”

There was a whole bunch of Jason and Crystal stuff . . . yawn. I am kinda bored with this story already.

Eric testified to Nan Flannigan and “The Authority” about Russell, but they either didn’t care or didn’t believe him . . until later when Russell took to the news, killing the broadcaster, and making the most epic speech ever. That was in fact an emmy winning speech period. The actor better get a nod for this episode or there is no justice in TVland.

BTW, did you catch Nan’s hypocrisy as she watched Russell on TV? Yup, she was not drinking Tru Blood from that woman was she!

True Blood: Couples Split, Couples Reunite, Couples Die

True Blood: Couples Split, Couples Reunite, Couples Die

Posted by Dustin on 08.09.2010 at 8:38 pm

As always, a great episode of “True Blood,” and Jason is back on top not only as the king of dumb, but for having the best line of the episode when he asked the just woken up Sookie, who hadn’t yet spoken “Do you have brain damage?”

Sookie and Bill broke up after what he did to her, but by the end of the show were not only back together, but having rough sex . . . rough being the key word. What was with them both strangling each other? Yuck!

Russell took major blows in this episode . . . and not in the way he probably would have liked! It would seem, based on Talbot’s (RIP) comments that Franklin is also RIP’ing. He mentioned having to clean his brains off the beds upstairs. Elsewhere Bill and Jessica killed a bunch of his wolf pack that Debbie brought to take down Sookie. Sadly Debbie escaped in the end . . . why didn’t Sookie blast the crap out of her? I guess because then there would be little use for Alcide?

Erik meanwhile got in on with Talbot, and just as he was about to take him from behind . . . he staked him from behind. WOW! That I was not expecting . . . and I really liked Talbot. He was funny. However it’s Erik’s revenge as he put it, for Russell killing his family. Russell sensed Talbot’s demise, which ironically kept him from killing Bill. I don’t think that was in Erik’s plan though, he would have loved to have seen Bill done away with.

I cannot wait to see what happens between Erik and Russell in the next episode! I think for the first time in this entire series, I really don’t care what’s going on with Bill.

Elsewhere, Sam’s mom came groveling for money, and Sam gave her some and sent her packing. Tommy meanwhile . . . he’s going to give Jason a run for dumbest guy in town. He not only wanted to pick a fight with Hoyt over Jessica, but later Crystal’s fiance and father (who came looking for her). Dumb boy/dog!

Jason meanwhile made up with, and then love to Crystal . . who had been beat up by her white trash family. In yet a classic Jason move, he went to see her family with a gun and told them not to come near Crystal again. Oh boy, so dumb! Also his “I’m a cop” line has gotten old, because everyone knows he isn’t. It was funny at first, now I just expect him to say it.

Lafayette’s crazy mama returned. She had a good line too because of her delivery . . . . JESUS! Which she shouted when she opened the door and Jesus stood there. Lafayette’s mom kept alluding to his power in this episode, which people were after. Jesus seemed to confirm there was something about him that was powerful . . . so wait . . . now Lafayette is special too? Aside from having a dirty mouth that is :)

Finally Renee showed up out of the blue, in Arlene’s dream, warning her that his baby boy inside her would be like him and finish the work he started. Freaky! Arlene finally got some help at the diner, hiring a new waitress named Holly. Little doe she know that Holly is as special as everyone else on this show! She’s apparently a witch and becomes a major character down the road.

True Blood: Bill Did A Bad Bad Thing To Sookie

True Blood: Bill Did A Bad Bad Thing To Sookie

Posted by Dustin on 08.02.2010 at 4:18 pm

I’m trying to remember all that happened last night on the show, cause a lot happened! First up, with Alcide and Tara’s help, Sookie rescued Bill . . . but not before she staked Lorena. It was a good stake, but I guess I would have liked to see Lorena squirm a bit more before her “true death” as the vampires call it.

Alcide killed, it would seem, Coot as they were escaping. Debbie vowed to hunt him down and make him pay. Just great. By that she means she’s going to hunt Sookie down first of course.

We never saw if Franklin was still undead or truly dead after Tara bashed his brains in. Since he didn’t turn to a puddle of goo like Lorena and the Magistrate, my guess is he’ll be back too!

While escaping, Bill ravaged Sookie in the back of Alcide’s truck and almost completely drained her. When they got her to the hospital, a transfusion of the universal blood type made things worse . . . as Sookie apparently has no blood type. Dum dum dum dum!

In a coma Sookie basically entered a scene out of “Midsummers Nights Dream” with all these people dancing around a pool. She met Claudine, who asked Sookie to stay with them. She gave Sookie a drink from the pool. Sookie loved it . . . but Claudine said she’d tasted it before . . . hmm. . . . She also told Sookie that her parents did not die in a car crash/drown in a river as she was told. We weren’t told what happened to them, but I’m guessing it was possibly vampire orchestrated? Something the Queen did to get ahold of Sookie later in life? Claudine sensed a darkness near, a vampire. Everyone dove into the pool, which was more like a portal to somewhere. Sookie didn’t go, and Claudine warned her not to let him steal her “light.”

Bill, who was pushed out of the truck by Tara and left to burn, didn’t. He showed up at the hospital and his blood was the only thing that could save Sookie, so he gave it to her. However from the previews for next week, it seems Sookie turns on Bill pretty quickly. Looks like Bill is out . . . is Alcide in?

Eric found out from Sookie’s cousin Hadley what Sookie really was. Of course we didn’t hear it, only Eric. He was intrigued as it wasn’t what he was expecting. Later Eric, the Queen and King rescued Pam from the Magistrate. They had the Magistrate marry the King and Queen, by force, and then the King decapitated him! The Magistrate kept referring to “The Authority” and how it wouldn’t recognize Russell’s actions or this marriage. I wonder how long it will be till we meet “The Authority.” My guess is that woman on the TV Nann Flannigan is part of it.

Back in Bon Temps, Jason was on a quest to find out what was going on with Crystal and her fiance. A guy in jail agreed to give him information, if Jason got him some meth. Meanwhile Hoyt was pursued by the girl he went on a date with, Summer. Summer actually wins the line of the show! She brought him some homemade biscuits and said something along the lines of “I reaaaalllllyyyyyy want you to taste my biscuit!”

Finally Sam rescued Tommy from his no good parents, who were dog fighting him. Tommy was reluctant to go with Sam, but did. The nasty dad told the mom not to worry, they’d get Tommy back. The mom told the dad to shut it and that she hates him. I have a feeling the next time we see the mom she’ll be shifted into something mean and nasty and attacking Sam.

True Blood: Truly Bloody!

True Blood: Truly Bloody!

Posted by Dustin on 07.26.2010 at 5:23 pm

So last night I made it a point to sit and watch “True Blood” with no distractions so I didn’t have to watch the rerun the following day. Of course I picked the wrong episode, because several times I had to get off the couch and walk away, while at the same time screaming “GROSSSSS!” Definitely an action packed episode though!

Almost everyone had descended on Russell’s house in this episode. Sookie was brought in, and with Bill no longer needed, Russell ordered Lorena to kill him. Eric also was still around, as he had finally found his parents’ killer in Russell and wasn’t about to give his revenge up.

Through most of the episode Bill was all tied up on the floor and Lorena was cutting into him and making him suffer, while he just begged her to do it quickly. Bill brought up Lorena’s maker, how he was the one who turned her truly evil, how he would have liked to have known her before she was made. It at least got me interested in Lorena, as well as feeling a tiny bit sorry for her. Who was this guy? The name Bill said was very Eastern European sounding. I will enjoy Sookie following through with her threat to kill her though.

Russell questioned Sookie as to who she really was, or what she was. She didn’t know, but now the question is in her head. She realizes she is more than just human because of her abilities. She also learned about Bill’s file on her family. Bill has some ‘splaining to do!

Meanwhile Franklin continued to keep Tara prisoner, but she got the best of him. She convinced him that she wanted to drink from him and *bleep* him high on his blood her last night as a human. Watching Tara tear into him, that was the first time I had to walk away. Watching her bash his skull in the next morning with a mace, the second time. NASTY! Of course the real question . . . is he dead?

Tara freed Sookie, and as she went to look for Bill, Alcide arrived and found Tara. For those who wanted to see Alcide naked, this was the episode!

Eric and Russell went to see the Queen, who was hilariously scratching lotto tickets to try and get out of debt. Rather than kill her, Russell proposed marriage. She accepted, but clearly it isn’t a choice she wanted to make What?!? I cannot wait to see Talbot’s reaction. I mean he goes bonkers when someone messes up the house, but his man marrying a woman? Oh that won’t do!

Russell did confide his plan to Eric that he wanted the supernaturals to unite and take over humanity. Oh and Eric pretending to swing the king’s way to stay in his good graces was hilarious.

There was a quick flash on the TV in this episode of Nann Flanigan (the Vampire Rights Woman) battling out with some Right Wing Conservative. Was this just for filler, or is this leading to something else? Could Russell’s plan tie into all of this?

Back in Bon Temps, Jesus and Lafayette got to know one another better. When they went back to Lafayette’s place, Jesus commented on Lafayette’s alter. It had a statue of Mary, as well as some other icons from other religions. Jesus knew a looooot about them, and commented on how they had to be given proper tokens and gifts. Is Jesus bringing the Voodoo back to the show? Or Sanataria perhaps? His name for Mary, though I didn’t hear it clearly, did sound like the Voodoo name for her. However when Jesus found out Lafayette was a drug dealer, well that killed their budding romance fast.

Jason meanwhile was spurned by Crystal this week. She has a white trash fiancee, who is the guy terrorizing Lafeyette with his friends. They bashed his car up in this episode, and Lafeyette and Jesus bashed in his face. She pretended not to know him when he came to her house with flowers. Hmmmmm, interesting. Jason is going to get him mixed up in a whole lot of trouble with her! Jason also tangled with the new start quarterback of the high school. He made the comment that he had his eye on him, there was something about the kid that didn’t set right with Jason. Was that a clue? Is this kid something not human?

The last real development in this episode was finding out what Sam’s family was really up to. Good call to the commenter ‘Me’ last week who suggested Tommy was being pimped out as a dog fighter. That’s what was going on. Joe Lee pimped his mother out before that until she couldn’t fight any longer. Now Tommy is stuck making the money for them. Sam took off to find them . . . with a gun. I won’t cry if Sam shoots Joe Lee, I just hope he wore some clean undies!

The previews for next week look amazing. After being attacked at the very end by Loretta, Sookie ends up in the hospital. It looks like she goes on a little out of body trip to another realm and learns what she and her family members really are. Also the shot of Bill, covered in blood, but in the sun and not burning was great!

Alcide Made True Blood Regular, Comics and More!

Alcide Made True Blood Regular, Comics and More!

Posted by Dustin on 07.23.2010 at 9:33 pm

Joe Manganiello, Alcide, revealed tonight at the Comic Con pannel (and earlier today to other reporters) that he had been made a series regular on the show for Season 4. So fans of his can look forward to seeing a lot more of the actor, clothed and unclothed.

The show is also spurning a comic book. There will be print versions, and it will be a miniseries of 6 issues. You can also download the first for the iPhone/iPad right now. The story follows Sookie and the others being stalked at Merlots by a creature.

Finally an exclusive clip of parts of the rest of the season was shown tonight. *update* and here it is!

True Blood: Sookie Powers Activate!

True Blood: Sookie Powers Activate!

Posted by Dustin on 07.20.2010 at 8:00 pm

A good episode this week of “True Blood” with some interesting back stories going on for sure.

Debbie seems to still love Alcide, though she has an odd way of showing it, and boy does she sleep around! However it sounded like she did what she did to save him. Why? I guess I’m lost here, and I didn’t ask my book friend to explain (assuming this is following the books). I guess for once I’ll have to be patient. Alcide and Sookie did learn from the Alpha Pack Master who Russell was though. I was kinda shocked that Alcide didn’t know honestly. Is vampire royalty a secret?

I am not liking this story with Tara and Franklin much. He’s nutso! I also didn’t like that she asked Bill for help and he said no. I get that he’s probably trying to keep his cover, but when Sookie finds out . . . she might not be so forgiving. Just more of Bill looking bad to Sookie. With Eric showing up at the King’s house, Bill’s cover is blown it seems anyways.

I thought the story mixing Eric’s background (the death of his family) with Russell’s and the wolves was pretty neat. I do understand this was not from the books, but something added in. I liked it though. It makes me want to know more about Russell and what he’s after. Was he just a greedy SOB wanting the crown, or is there something more? Clearly Sookie seems to play into his current plans though, and I really think he wants her because the Queen wanted her.

I loved the end of the show when Bill came to warn her, only he was too late. Russell, Coot and other minions arrived . . . . but Sookie wasn’t the weak thing they thought. Her magic powers came back and Coot flew across the room when he tried to grab her. It was pretty awesome. I know what her powers are, and I hear she finds out too by the end of this season.

My interest was at least somewhat peaked about Tommy and Sam’s family this week due to Sam’s father’s bizarre interest in Tommy. What’s going on? Is he using Tommy to commit crimes? Or is some kind of bizarre sexual abuse going on? I couldn’t figure it out. I also liked the possible relationship between Tommy and Jessica.

Jason was as hysterical as ever, chasing after Crystal and acting like an officer while wearing skin tight and wet khakis. I loved Crystal! “Where is your gun? Where is your badge? Where is your shirt!” Then of course Jason was great “Did you not see the official police car from which I came out of?” I’m going to like these two together I think. It’s about time we get the fun Jason back.

So there were a lot of good lines. I really loved Arlene telling Jessica the reason she won’t look her in the eyes is because she doesn’t want to be hypnotized, which is what vampires seem to like to do. Then Jessica glamouring the customers not to tip the waitress was great.

However I think the line of the week has to go to a filthy one. It wasn’t clever or funny by itself. What made it so great was the actor’s delivery. I cracked up when Coot told Bill that his hot piece of southern ass was #%$^#$%^ a werewolf . . . . . Ohhhhhh suck that !@$$!$ Even when I watched the rerun of the show, that was still my favorite part because the delivering of it was just so funny.

True Blood: Ring Ring Hookuh, Ring Ring, Answer Yo Phone!

True Blood: Ring Ring Hookuh, Ring Ring, Answer Yo Phone!

Posted by Dustin on 07.14.2010 at 4:07 pm

Sooooo many quotable lines from this last “True Blood,” most however containing the Fword. “We Bleeped like only two vampires can bleep!” – Bill to Sookie. “Shut the bleep up” -Sookie to Bill when he called to dump her. I think my favorite though was Lafeyette’s message to Tara on her voice mail “Ring Ring Hookuh!” I want that as my ring tone!

Bill’s decent into badness continued in this week’s episode. We learned he was a procuerer of information for Queen Sophie Anne, which I understand is similar to his storyline in the books, though they didn’t go into it. He also continued to do Russell and Lorena’s bidding, though it would seem only to protect Sookie? I don’t know, but they sure are making me dislike Bill and fast! However I will say I am not and Eric and Sookie fan by far.

Franklin on the other hand has become completely love obsessed with Tara, taking her hostage. He is also after information on Sookie, it would seem he is the one who had her file/family tree on him. At the end we found out that he maybe working for Russell as well? I’m getting the feeling that Russell wants Sookie for the same reason the Queen does (and sent Bill after her, at lease in the books).

Bill turned Eric and the Queen into Russell for selling V, as a way to prove his loyalty to Russell. This led the Magistrate headed to skewer Eric. He took Pam hostage, but rather than turn the Queen in, Eric claimed it was Bill who had been behind the V selling. The Magistrate has given him two days to find Bill, or else Pam dies.

Andy took over as sheriff when Daryl retired to do something with his other brothers Daryl and Daryl. Jason finally used his head and blackmailed Andy into making him a police officer now rather than later, threatening to reveal who really shot Eggs and take away Andy’s new found hero status.

Sam ended up making a deal with his folks and Tommy. He’d let them stay until they got back on their feet, but his real aim was to hopefully get Tommy away from them and help him set up his own life, as Tommy felt he’d be stuck with their parents until they died. I still am not a fan of this story at all honestly.

Finally Alcide and Sookie went in search of Coot and his gang for leads on Bill. She wasn’t going to let being dumped keep her away, she felt something was up especially learning Lorena was with him. Alcide learned, from Sookie, that his ex Debbie Pelt was not only a V addict, but getting initiated into Coot’s pack. They went to try and save her, only to learn Russell was really their leader and supplying them with V. Russell, on stage, spoke German to them as he poured his blood into all these shot glasses and handed them out. That made me think back to Eric and Godrich during WWII posing as SS to try and find this band of wolves that were well organized, funded and super strong (obviously cause of V). So Russell has been behind them perhaps? But why? To start a vampire war perhaps?

Debbie Pelt was so damn trashy, but I couldn’t help but think of Hillary Swank every time she was on. Alcide’s sister Janice I loved loved loved! We once again saw a few glimpses of Crystal and her dad in this episode, but their secret has not been introduced. Yes I know what they really are :)

True Blood: Exorcist Sex

True Blood: Exorcist Sex

Posted by Dustin on 07.03.2010 at 6:07 pm

Okay so I finally watched the third episode again when I could pay attention. Line of the show once again goes to Jason for when he was studying for the police test. When asked what blood level was legally intoxicated he responded “When you’re drunk?”

Erik assigned Alcide to look after Sookie, and we finally met the good werewolf. Why though is Erik skirting the chance to guard Sookie? Because of the Queen’s mission to get rid of the V and cover his own tracks? He’s up to something. Definitely loved Sookie and Alcide together though! Poor Alcide finding out that evil Coot is engaged to his ex, Sookie might have to comfort him!

I still have yet to read the books, but a friend tells me enough and what I want to know. I have to wonder if this episode is a turning point for Bill’s character? Are we supposed to stop liking him? That twisted backwards sex scene with him and Lorena was too much! That he would bleep her when he’s supposed to love Sookie so much definitely has me thinking he’s not so great after all.

I love Russell and Talbot. Talbot got all upset that his antique tapestry got burned and Russell almost got the best line of the show with “Chip some dinnerware around here and it’s armageddon.” Russell convinced Bill to revoke his loyalty to Sophie Anne and take a job as sheriff in Mississippi. However I have to believe it was to keep Russell from bringing Sookie to Lorena. Uh oh, she might end up there anyway!

Tara and Franklin’s sex scene was hilarious, mostly cause of Tara’s eyes rolling back into her head. Bet she has a lot to talk to Sookie about and soon! However Franklin clearly has an agenda, he is interested in Bill and more importantly Sookie. My guess is the file on Sookie was his after all? He found out what he needed to know about them from Jessica. Seems he was the one who disposed of the body Jessica killed, but then blackmailed her into telling him about Bill and Sookie. Oh and I didn’t get how Franklin charmed Tara into inviting him into Sookie’s house. If it’s that easy, why make the issue out of having to be invited in?

Jason is attempting to join the police force, whereas the Chief of Police quit after the discovery of a headless body (Jessica’s victim). No, how can Daryl Daryl and his brother Daryl leave!

Sam continued to have family issues. Tommy did try and lure him in front of an oncoming truck last week, and this week it seems he stole some money from Sam’s safe. Meanwhile Sam’s father needs to not only learn how to wash his nasty underpants, but put on clothes. YUCK! Can we please not see him sitting around in yellow-green once tighty whities anymore?

Finally Arlene learned she was pregnant, but it’s Renee’s kid! She then lied to Terry and let him believe it’s his. Uh oh!

Reminder: There is no new episode this weekend due to the fourth. SNIFF.

Post Note: Somehow a few comments from last week’s show ended up in my spam blocker box. I idiotically hit empty and then saw them. I made adjustments, it shouldn’t happen again. Some words will however trigger moderating of comments (it’s an extra precaution against spambots).
