True Blood Season Finale . . .
Posted by Dustin on 08.27.2012 at 1:03 pm
So last night was the season finale of “True Blood,” which I felt much made up for a lot of this crappy season with some fantastic vampire kills. However the big question, who the heck is Warlow, was never answered! I kept waiting and waiting, and nothing. I was afraid they’d leave us hanging this way.
We picked up right were we left off last week, with Russell killing the Fairy Elder and then going after the fairies in their club. However Eric (and Nora) showed up immediately, and Eric staked Russell! Just like that, he was gone. I was actually stunned as so far he’s been the best villain the show has had. I guess though they have to make room for Warlow? Oh Steve then rain off like a frightened little girl, which was hilarious.
A big meeting was held between Tara, Eric, Nora, Jason and Sookie. Jason, for some reason, kept seeing his dead parents around him. I wasn’t sure what that was about at all, and why Sookie couldn’t see them. Tara had told Eric about Pam being captured, and that Jessica was there too. Eric told them all about Bill going nuts, and how he felt Sookie was the only one who might be able to save him from the cult of Lilith. Jason was against helping the blood suckers given what happened to their parents, but Tara said Sookie owed her and Pam. Sookie agreed, and on the way to the authority compound Jason railed at her about all that has happened to them, including Crystal. Wow, I thought they had totally forgotten about the WerePanthers. Maybe there is hope that storyline will come back? Though given how much is going on, perhaps they don’t need another story.
Sookie, Eric and Tara infiltrated the Authority, and met up with Jessica there to rescue Pam. All hell was basically breaking lose. Bill led Salome to believe Lilith told him that she had been chosen to lead them . . . but later he staked her. Meanwhile Eric and Company rescued Pam, and Tara and Pam had a long make-out session. Jessica had a great line when she exclaimed “I knew it!” Even Sookie was stunned.
Later, Eric and Sookie tried to get through to Bill, but it seems like he’s just too damn crazy. He decided to drink all of Lilith’s blood as she kept commanding him to. When he did so, he exploded in a puddle of goop. Wait, what? Bill is dead? Nope! Just like Lilith, a naked Bill rose from the pile of blood! I figured Lilith would be resurrected this way, I guess I just never expected her to come back as a man! As a facebook friend called him/her . . . . Here’s Bilith! Does this mean Bilith will walk around naked and covered in blood? I was really hoping that by the end of this season we have just been done with Lilith, but nope! I really hope they don’t drag this on too far into next season. I’d like to see it quickly resolved and then they all move on.
Other things going on . . . . elsewhere in the compound Sam and Luna were put in cages, as if that could really keep them trapped though. They were locked up with a lot of other humans who were there as meat for the vamps. Sam and Luna concocted a plan to rescue Emma and get out. They turned themselves into flies to make there way around the compound. Luna turned into Steve Newlin and grabbed Emma, and then she tried to leave. However she was then quickly grabbed by Rosalyn. Rosalyn was fuming as the press was smearing the Vampire Authority, she had found out about his and Russell’s frat party adventure, and Russell was no where to be found. She demanded he immediately go on the air and fix things. Unfortunately while on air, Luna began to literally fall apart. She puked up blood and then morphed back into herself. She then went into an on-air rant about the vampires! As Rosalyn stood there . . . mouth open in horror . . . Sam as a fly flew in and she swallowed him. Yup . . . he morphed back and exploded her from the inside out. It was probably the best vampire kill ever on the show! However Luna seemed in pretty poor shape by the end of the show. Once again it seems like they may kill her off? I hope they don’t do that.
Alcide meanwhile got a visit from Emma’s grandma and the woman who was to be his second. She was tweaking bad from the V, and Emma’s grandma said he had to stand up and take JD down. Unfortunately he couldn’t do that without V. Aclide’s dad then revealed he kept a stash of very powerful V, top notch stuff, for situations when people try and kill him. He gave it to Alcide, who used it kill JD and take over the pack. I couldn’t help but wonder if the blood was Warlow’s? Alcide’s dad noted that is was a very powerful dose of V . . . it clearly was more powerful than Russell’s blood.
Finally Andy’s fairy girlfriend showed up pregnant at Merlotte’s, and Andy was forced to come clean with Holly, who wasn’t pleased. Then Holly realized Andy’s fling wasn’t exactly normal. When light began streaming out of her “area,” well that was a big clue. Lafeyette, Arlene and Baby Jane (who was a character during the whole Marianne storyline) sat around and watched as the fairy gave birth to four little girls! After she was done, she got up, told Andy to take good care of them, and then walked out. Oh brother! What was the point of this? Are the fairies trying to build up an army or something?
It will be a long year until the show returns. Next year Alan Ball will no longer be the show-runner, so it will be interesting to see how much of a change in direction the show takes.
True Blood: Lilith’s Followers Get Even Nuttier!
Posted by Dustin on 08.20.2012 at 7:44 pm
There is only one more episode left, and I still don’t know how they will wrap it all up. One thing I am hoping for is a permanent end to Lilith and the Sanguinistas. Get them out of here and don’t bring them back! Please! However something worries me that Lilith might not be gone for good. More on that below . . .
A head honcho from the military dropped in to see Roman. The counsel was vague about where Roman was, and this didn’t sit well with the guy. It seems Roman and the mainstreaming movement is the only thing keeping peace between the vampires and the U.S. military. He knew they bombed their own True Blood factories. He had a flash drive of Russell and Steve killing the members of the frat house last week, and said if anything happens to him, copies go to media outlets. He said they had new weapons, and don’t forget they own the day, they could wipe them out. The counsel revealed Roman was gone, and they were going to take their rightful place in this world. The military guy said that wasn’t going to happen, and as he was walking out Eric snapped his neck, which just caused more issues for the Vamps. But, I think that’s what he wanted. It was the distraction he needed . . .
Nora it seems finally got Godric’s message, and realized Lilith was insane, if she was even real. She and Eric made their escape from the compound by the end of the episode.
Lilith began appearing to the entire counsel, telling them that she had chosen them to lead, to drink all of her blood. They all began turning on one another. Bill killed the other guy (I forget his name, the one from “Spartacus”). It now seems to be down to Salome, Bill and Rosalyn to battle it out for control . . .
Earlier in the episode Jessica wanted to save Jason and suggested to Bill that she turned him. However he knew she was not serious, she was trying to get away. However he decided to force her to do this, and sent her with two guards to make sure she turned Jason. She didn’t, killed the guards, and escaped to Fangtasia . . . Phew! I was gunna be pissed if they turned Jason! I’m still waiting for them to resume the Crystal storyline, but something tells me it’s been dropped and forgotten.
Pam hid Jessica in exchange for information on Eric. When she learned what was going on, Pam said they were suffering from nesting . . . I had forgotten all about that phenomenon. They haven’t discussed it since the very first season with the nest of crazy vamps. So does that mean Lilith really is just a crazy hallucination? I don’t know, as she keeps wanting them all to do the same thing . . . drink all of her . . . My guess is if someone does that, Lilith can return to the world for real? If that happens, Lilith could be around for next season. My guess is Salome or Rosalyn will do it.
Rosalyn stormed Fangtasia looking for the Sheriff that Tara and Ginger killed. Pam claimed she did it to protect them, and she was arrested. Meanwhile Rosalyn grabbed Jessica and took her back to the compound and back to Bill. Jessica told Bill that he’s suffering from the effects of Nesting, but he seems too crazy to even listen at this point. Elsewhere, Sam and Luna are still running around naked and looking for Emma . . .
Jason and Sookie met with the fairies again to warn them about the vamps, and crazy Russell. They also wanted information on Warlow, and met with the Elder Fairy. Apparently Sookie’s ancestor John Williams Stackhouse got a lot of land out of his deal with Warlow. Also of note, Warlow wanted the first child bearing female with fairy blood . . . Is he planning some kind of hybrid baby perhaps? The elder (who BTW was Coco on TV’s “Fame”) was more interested in Russell being alive. He had to be dealt with, and she had a plan. Jason led Russell and Steve to the fairies’ lair, after they glamored him, which of course was the plan. The elder tried to fight him, but Russell was too strong. He drained her, and then unfortunately could see all the fairies hiding out in the club in the middle of the clearing! Oh crap . . . .
Other things that happened . . . The one fairy (Meradine?) met with Andy and told him about the baby. He was stunned, she wasn’t pregnant a week ago and now she’s about to pop. He couldn’t do this, but she said they made a light pact, and it would be very bad if he broke that . . . Hmmm, what the hell does that mean?
Alcide meanwhile hung out with daddy, they fought some vamps, and it seems like after some advice from a friend he will fight for his pack and not become a lone wolf like his dad did after he was disgraced for stealing from the pack. I have not been a fan of Alcide’s story at all this season. He has had almost no interaction at all with Sookie. Boo! Actually Sookie hasn’t had much to do at all much of this season. My guess is because of the actresses’ pregnancy. They were not showing Sookie from the midsection down at all last night.
True Blood: I Found Jesus!

I met Kevin Alejandro from “True Blood” today at the Monster Mania horror con here in New Jersey. What a nice guy! I asked him if we might see him back on “True Blood” as a ghost or something. He said he was mainly working on a new CBS show called “Golden Boy,” but he had the feeling he may pop-up now and then on “True Blood” still . . . . Praise Jesus!
True Blood: Nearing The End . . .
Posted by Dustin on 08.13.2012 at 12:50 pm
So there are only two episodes left of “True Blood” before it’s all over for another year. I don’t know how they are going to end it, but I don’t think I’m going to be happy with how it ends. I think this season is right next to the 2nd season as my least favorite. Actually, I may dislike it even more! Lilith has turn out to be the pits, even more so than the Maenads.
Bill seems to be going completely insane, thinking not only has Lilith chosen him, but he is the chosen *one* to lead them all. It seems like he’s taken over Salome’s role in leadership. He and Nora drugged Eric in order to turn him to Lilith’s cause. Eric and Nora had a vision of Godrick warning them that Lilith was a false god, and he had done what they have failed to do . . . evolve! Suddenly Lilith appeared and ripped Godrick to pieces. The next thing we know, Eric is dedicated to the cause, saying he was worshiping Godrick as a false god. Okay I have to hope Eric is faking this. Godrick is dead, he can’t be killed by Lilith. Please let Eric be faking! I can’t take anymore of this whacky cult storyline.
This episode saw the departure of Hoyt. He took a job in Alaska and asked Jess to glamor him to forget both her and Jason before he left. She did as he asked. I’m sad to see Hoyt go! There are so many other characters I would rather see gone over Hoyt. I hope he will return at some point. This was a waste of a good character!
The new annoying sheriff told Pam and Tara that they had to increase the number of new vampires in the district, direct orders from above. If they didn’t, he’d take Pam’s bar and Tara! Pam later told Tara F… the bar, they could just live on the wind like she and Eric did for so long.
Bill finally remembered about poor little Jessica, you know his progeny. He had her brought to the AVL headquarters and began instructing her about Lilith. Oh no, please don’t make Jessica a wacky cult member too! It’s just too much. I loved when she commented that this sounded way too much like the bible study class her parents forced her to take.
Sam and Luna ran around trying to track down Steve, who had Emma. They ended up being carried, as mice, right into the AVL headquarters!
One vampire apparently had enough of the crazy Lilith cult, and it was the craziest of them all . . . Russell! How is it that Russell is the only one who can see they are all insane? I guess because he is even more insane? Russell said he wanted more, he wanted to sun walk. He told them about the fairy blood, that it’s not a myth. He felt they could gather it, study it. Salome said Fairies are wicked, and they are of the night and that is how it is supposed to be. He told them all to basically screw themselves and took off to do what he wanted.
Jason and Sookie found an old scroll under the floorboards under Gran’s bed, the real clue she tried to tell Sookie about. They had the scroll analyzed, it was over 200 years old, but the scroll was in know known human language. They knew that meant fairy language, and took it to the Fairy Club. Claude and his sisters were too young to read it, but they turned to someone well old enough to do so. It was the fairy who had sex with Andy last season and yup . . . she’s pregnant! They translated the scroll. It was a contract between M. Warlow and Sookie’s earliest ancestor promising M. Warlow his first fairy blooded female relative. It took almost 200 years, but that was Sookie.
So we at least made progress on two fronts. One, we are getting closer the Warlow mystery. However something tells me we won’t meet them this season. What did Sookie’s ancestor get out of the deal though? Also the fairy Andy boinked, is going to have his kid. That’s going to complicate things for him and Holly for sure. Of course Andy has to find out about the kid first. I am still annoyed that the entire were-panther and Crystal storyline with Jason has just been completely dropped. Unless they are waiting to pull that one back out of their bag.
True Blood: Only Three Episodes Left!
Posted by Dustin on 08.06.2012 at 3:01 pm
This week’s “True Blood” wrapped up two story-lines, neither one I really cared about to be honest. The first was the horrible storyline involving Terry, Patrick and the Ifreet. In the end, Patrick held Arlene hostage in order to get Terry to give himself up to him so he could execute him. But Arlene and Terry got the upper hand, and Terry shot him. The spirit of the woman said the debt of blood had been paid, and the Ifreet took Patrick’s body away. Good riddens, and I hope we don’t have to see any consequences of this story and Patrick’s death play out!
The other story that ended was the Obama masked supe-killers storyline. A video on-line lead Andy and and Jason to Bud’s house, and then an old pig farm. Meanwhile Sookie ended up there on her quest to find out who Warlow was, because it was Bud who found her parents; bodies. Sookie was taken hostage, along with Hoyt by Bud, his lover (who was the Dragon) and the other Obamas. I found myself wondering what was the point of all of this? We didn’t know who this woman was before now, we had no attachment to her, so it was no shock that she was the Dragon. Had it been Hoyt’s mama, that would have been a good reveal. I just feel like with this nobody woman as the dragon, that this story had no purpose. At least pulling Bud into it gave us someone we did know, but sadly it seemed like he was “whipped” into it all by the woman.
Sookie is still no closer to finding out who Warlow is at this point, and we only have three episodes left!
Alcide left town and went to see his dad, who like him appears to be a disgraced and packless wolf. I don’t know what the point of the flashbacks were. I hope they are leading up to something more meaningful, maybe something that can help Alcide. Meanwhile J.D. and his pack are all addicted to Russell’s blood, but soon learned they were really nothing but dogs to him. Hello, that’s all they were before! Did they think things had changed? Russell and Steve showed up, and Russell took Emma from her grandma and gave her to Steve as a present because Emma’s grandmother would not drink his blood. He also did it because Steve thought the pup was so cute. When J.D. tried to say no, Russell put him in his place. So much for the mighty J.D.! I hope Alcide comes back to kick his butt and good.
Meanwhile over to the Lilith Bunch, Eric and the Tech Girl plotted their escape. They wanted to get Nora out with them, as Eric felt he could un-brainwash her. They involved Bill in their plan, which turned out to be a mistake. It seems Bill has drank way too much of the Lilith kool-aid and turned Eric and Tech Girl over to Salome! I am hoping Bill really isn’t a cult member and that he does have a bigger and better plan up his sleeve. However with each season that goes by, Bill just gets more and more evil it seems.
Finally at Fangtasia, Pam was stunned to meet the new Sheriff of the district, some goth kid wanna be. With the true blood factories burning, and Salome the new chancellor, the bad on public feeding of humans had been lifted. Yes, the war is coming!
True Blood: Mysterious New Big Bads’ Identities Are Teased
Posted by Dustin on 07.30.2012 at 8:59 pm
So this is a quick post on some thoughts on the latest “True Blood.” Sorry I got behind as I have a deadline tomorrow morning to make!
A lot went down in this episode, which I really enjoyed. The vampire bunch is still high on Lilith, and are now formulating ways to thwart mainstreaming, including halting production of true blood. Eric seems to be the only one that hasn’t lost his mind to Lilith. He tried to save Nora, but she seems too far gone. Even Bill seems to be caught up in Lilith lust! I’m guessing this is how we will see Eric get on Sookie’s good side again?
Sookie and Jason, with the help of the fairies, explored their parents death. Sookie was able to witness it all via some time jump, and gained a huge clue. Claudine was there trying to save Sookie’s parents and called the evil vampire Willow (I think?). So it has a name. Later Sookie found herself haunted by this vampire, who seemed stuck in her head. Yes Willow is coming for her!
Alcide basically got his ass kicked to the curb by a vamping J.D. Even Martha jumped in to protect him and is disgusted by J.D. My guess is the supe-hunting-club could end up getting him. That or the vampires will turn on them, no longer having use for them. I just can’t wait to see J.D. get his . . . head ripped off.
Luna lost control of her shifting abilities and shifted into Sam, and got stuck that way. I won’t lie, I was totally hoping to see Sam make out with himself. I would have died laughing! She and Sam helped Andy with the supe-killers. There was all this stuff in between this with the club bringing Jessica to Hoyt for him to kill as part of their initiation. Jessica and Hoyt took some of them out. Then Hoyt fled for help, leaving Jessica behind as it was daylight. Luna sensed a female presence in their clubhouse, a large woman with a piss poor diet. Later as Hoyt was making his way home from the club, a car pulled up and he was glad to see who was in it . . . until they aimed a gun at him. Something tells me Hoyt’s mama is behind the supe-killer-club.
Then there is the Terry story. Lafayette was let go by the pregnant lady, only to find himself dragged into Terry and Arlene’s mess. He and Holly held a seance to talk to the pissed of Ifreet. The woman said she would lift the curse on Terry and Patrick, on one condition. Either Terry kills Patrick, or Arlene kills Terry! Something tells me Terry or Patrick committing suicide or getting killed another way is not going to work . . . .
True Blood Spoilers! Plus Quick Thoughts . . . .
Posted by Dustin on 07.25.2012 at 10:58 am
There was a time I avoided spoilers for ‘True Blood’ like the plague, because it was the show I most looked forward to in an empty summer. Now I’ve been reading them hoping for something awesome. The writing this season has just been sloooooowwwwwww!
Just some brief thoughts on the latest show, before the spoilers. Though at this point I think I’ve posted these all in the shoutbox.
I was a little disappointed in the rise of Lilith. I can’t figure out yet if she’s real or a hallucination brought on by the blood. Now that they drank all the blood, will they be able to ever see her again once their high wears off? I would assume after all the hoopla over Lilith that we’ll see her again at some point.
I’m still really looking forward to finding out which vampire killed Sookie’s parents. I hope we find out this season too, and aren’t left hanging. As this is one of the stories I’m enjoying, that will piss me off!
I was glad that Jason shot Jessica in the head. Actually that scene was hilarious. She’s become such a spoiled brat, which sucks as I used to really love Jessica.
Hoyt is also a character I used to love, and now he’s gone and gotten himself mixed up in a “love” hate-group. I definitely see Hoyt ending up taking the fall for them and getting caught. I think the guy who showed up at the hospital and was caught by Sam was a decoy. They are up to something bigger and needed to distract him.
The Pam and Tara relationship has gone all weird. I’m beginning to think they are going to become lovers.
Alcide’s story trying to become pack master is boring me as much as Terry and his genie. That’s a shame as I really like Alcide, or at least looking at him when he’s on screen. I had hopes for an Alcide and Sookie hook-up finally, but now he’s all into his 2nd in command. Oh and that red headband he had on was just ridiculous! Who dressed him?
I’m glad that Emma’s grandma came to her senses about J.D. and the pack doing V as Alcide told her. Maybe there is hope she isn’t going to be a total bitch . . . pun intended.
Is Debbie’s tooth still under Sookie’s fridge? You know someone is going to find it at some point!
I think that’s about all I gotta say . . . onto the spoilers!

True Blood: Who Killed My Parents? Was It You?
Posted by Dustin on 07.16.2012 at 11:37 am
So let’s talk about this week’s “True Blood” shall we? I was left with several questions by the end of the hour.
Thankfully Terry’s horrible story was short and sweet this week. He’s convinced the smoke monster is real, confessed all to Arlene, and said he has to leave her and the boys so they’ll be safe. My guess is Arlene will pull Holly in to try and block or stop the curse.
Lafayette visited his mom Ruby Jean, who gave him a cryptic message, but had the best line of the night. “You gotta save Jesus!” followed by a whole lot of slurs, but ones that came off as hysterically funny because of the context. Of course it just seemed like she was a ranting nut, but she really meant Jesus needed Lafayette’s help. A part of me hopes that somehow he’s still alive somewhere. Maybe his grandfather stole his body and is using him somehow?
Luna and Sam were rushed to the hospital, and fortunately Luna didn’t die. Little Emma ran straight to her grandma. The grandma brought her back to Luna in the hospital, and swore to protect her. Luna confided in her that someone was killing shifters. Sam was released and helped Andie try and hunt down this gang that is now targeting supernaturals. At first I suspected maybe grandma was behind it to get her hands on Emma. However by the end of the show the gang also targeted a vampire that was sucking on Hoyt outside of Fangtasia. They knew Hoyt and pulled him into their van. As they were Obama masks, we still don’t know who they are . . . but if they know Hoyt then it’s people from Bon Temps. Since they are targeting other “sups,” I guess it isn’t grandma after all.
At the hospital, Alcide was attacked by another wolf, who he knew as JD, the guy who had become the new pack master. Russell was captured, and to spare Sookie and Alcide from the wrath of the Authority’s cover-up, Bill and Eric came up with this phony story about stealing a car with them because a third person was in it who had been here before and that’s how they found Russell. They were both glamoured, though of course Sookie can’t be. Eric made Alcide protect Sookie with his life, but said he’d be repulsed by her sexually.
The next morning Alcide remembered nothing, but it took Sookie three seconds to figure out what Eric did to him. She touched him and gave him his memory back. He then went off to challenge JD, revealing he was on V, and has said he wants his title as pack master after all. He now has to fight JD at some point for it. Because Alcide needed someone to stand up and be his second for the challenge to be valid, some pretty young thing jumped at the chance. Have we just introduced a new love interest for Alcide? I hope she doesn’t end up crazy jealous of Sookie like Debbie was.
Jason told Sookie about the fairies and what he learned about their parents. They went to the den where Sookie met Hadley and the guy fairy who helped her escape from Mab last season. He said they are all fairies who did not agree with Mab and broke off from her, which is why they returned to the human world. Sookie read their minds to see if what Jason said was true. The male fairy says all he knew was what Claudine once told him. We saw a flashback to a strange cloaked vampire stopping Sookie’s parents on the bridge during the storm. He smelled her blood in the backseat, from an old band-aid, which is why he killed her parents. Who was the vamp? He was definitely tall like Eric. As they made a point to disguise him, it makes me think it’s someone we’ve already met on the show. Russell? He didn’t know about fairies until Bill and Eric told him. Bill? He didn’t know until the Queen told him. Eric? He’s definitely been around for a long time . . . . I’m thinking though it’s one of the guys from the Authority. Both are definitely have the build, and it didn’t look like a woman under the trench coat (or whatever it was wearing).
Back at the Authority, Russell was to be executed, and Salome kept interrogating him to try and find out information. Eric asked for permission to talk to Nora and was given it. When she learned what happened, Nora broke into religious ecstasy. She kept spouting off how “It has happened just as she said, and through Lilith there will be a rebirth, it’s a miracle!” It seemed Eric figured out what she was saying . . . . but all too late.
Back at the execution, Russell told them all they were stupid. He said the Sangunistas are religious idiots and the Authority and their belief in Lilith and their mainstreaming was just as stupid. He said he didn’t kill humans for Lilith or a movement, he did so because it’s fun and he likes it! Roman went to execute him with the iStake app . . . but it failed! Before he knew it, Russell had grabbed the stake made of Judas’ melted down gold and plunged it into Roman . . . a tear of blood rolled down Salome’s cheek . . .
So wait. . . what !?!?! First is Roman dead? We saw him in pain and pulsing, but not yet ash out or explode into guts. I’m wondering if Russell missed? Also who is the traitor? Was it Salome, or was the blood tear genuine as she realized what was about to happen? Or was it the tech girl, whose iStake app failed? Or is it the entire Authority? Have they all turned on Roman without him knowing it?
True Blood: Will The Real Sanguinista Please Stand Up?
Posted by Dustin on 07.09.2012 at 12:06 pm
So I thought last night’s “True Blood” was yet another ho-hum episode. At this point I think they have so many characters and so many stories going on, that it makes it difficult to get into an episode as it’s over before you know it. Last night’s episode seemed to be really short, only about 48 minutes by my count.
Let’s start with the truly pointless story which we never needed: Terry and his army buds. We learned that they were cursed by one of the dying citizens they gunned down. They were cursed to be stalked by a fire Ifreet. I was worried the minute they went to the Middle East with this story that this is where we were headed. Ifreet is another word for Jinn or Djinn, basically what we refer to as genies. The Ifreet has been stalking them all and setting fire to their homes. After their “crazy” friend told them about it, Terry remembered seeing it in Iraq as well. Terry believes this is what is happening, but his Sargent isn’t convinced. This story needs to just go away!
Sam called Andy in about his dead shifter friends. Later on some men in a truck wearing bizarre masks (Presidents?) showed up at Luna’s place. They drove by and shot Luna and Sam! Luna’s daughter shifted into a wolf and ran off . . . Sam was only shot in the side, but Luna was hit dead center. I can’t believe they may kill off Luna! Actually I can, Sam is never lucky in love. We don’t know who is doing it, but from the previews it looks like Andy learns there is a gang going around killing any and all supernaturals.
Jason woke up totally nude at his home, but not before having a bizarre dream in which it was Christmas morning and he was a little kid again. In it he watched his mom and dad spurt blood all over the kitchen table because of the fang bites on their necks. So it would seem that Jason’s memory hasn’t been wiped by the fairies. This story could get interesting!
Lafayette continued to be haunted by Jesus and his demon. We also saw Jesus’ head appear at one point, to both Lafayette and his mother Ruby. Hmmmm, I’m not really liking this story either. Why did they have to go and kill Jesus?
At Fangtasia, Pam put Tara in charge of the bar. Later Hoyt showed up in fangbanger gear and started getting hot-n-heavy with Tara. That is until Jessica arrived and caught them together and flipped out. Oh Jessica, you can’t have all the men in town! She needs to decide if she wants Hoyt, Jason, or neither of them. I’m tired of her stringing these guys along.
Sookie ruined the sexy moment between her and Alcide by puking her guts out on his shoes. Poor Alcide! Bill and Eric also helped to put an end to the moment by seeking Sookie’s help in locating Russell. Sookie read the mind of Alcide’s friend who found the hole in the garage that Russell was broken out from. He had been glamoured, so Sookie couldn’t see the face of who freed Russell. However she knew it was a woman by their figure, and they had a specific necklace on which meant she was a member of the Authority. So it seems there is another traitor in the Authority. Eric doesn’t believe it was Nora, as why would she free Russell and then save the two of them? Meanwhile Salome was sneaking all over the place at headquarters, making her look suspicious. I have to wonder if Chancellor Drew was thrown under the bus? Is Salome the real traitor? She is Nora’s mentor after all . . . and they could have decided to just get rid of Drew as they knew what he was hiding (the Vampire-Human feasting porn/vids).
Finally Sookie, Alcide, Eric and Bill tracked Russell down to an old abandoned hospital. There they found a bunch of humans chained up, which Russell has been feeding on to get his strength back. Before Eric could stake him, something took out Alcide, and the show ended . . .
True Blood: Fairy Hideouts and Sangunistas!
Posted by Dustin on 07.02.2012 at 2:42 pm
So the latest episode of “True Blood” was pretty good! It was much better than some of the last few snoozers, as we got some story lines moving forward finally.
Terry and his captain go looking for the guy they think is causing all their issues. We learn via flashbacks what the big secret about Iraq is. Basically while on patrol, the group took refuge in some kind of an abandoned church. Oh yeah, they also seemed to take some kind of drugs as well, or at least Terry did. Some civilian ran up and started yelling at them. Nobody knew what he was saying, but the Captain told them to get rid of him. Somehow the guy that they are searching for in the present took this to mean shoot him, which he did. Then more people showed up, a sniper started shooting at them, and in the end all the civilians were dead. Back in the present, Terry and the Captain found the guy holed up in some crazy bunker, which he trapped them in with him. This storyline bored me honestly. There is already enough story lines going on as is, I don’t know why they had to throw this one in there. Did they feel the need for a non-supernatural storyline? Or have we just not got to the supernatural part? I have a feeling the reason the civilian was yelling at them was that the defiled the church in some way, and now are possessed or cursed.
Some of the shifters that Sam ran with last season came to see him. They wanted to invite him back to the group. He didn’t know, but eventually agreed to meet them later on that day. However when he went to meet them, they had all been shot! Hmmmmmm . . . .
Bill and Eric were let go and ordered to find Russell. They decided to start with finding who actually let him go. Only the two of them, Pam and Alcide knew where he was buried. I guess they figured Alcide wouldn’t ever free a vamp, so they went to grill Pam. Pam did not let him go and was devastated that Eric would even think she’d betray him. She wanted him to release her as her maker if he thought so little of her. In the end he did release her, but he also believed she had nothing to do with freeing Russell.
Roman and Salome tortured Nora until she confessed that she was turned Sanguinista by another in the group, who is a true leader in the movement. After much searching they learned it was the little vampire kid, and Roman staked him! Thank Lilith, because that kid was annoying as all hell. I was glad to see him go. We don’t yet know what Nora’s punishment will be though.
The judge who convinced Andy to let his son off a speeding ticket decided to thank him and Jason by taking them to a hot party spot he goes to every weekend. They ended up in a fairy den, where the fairies party with humans. Andy ran into the fairy he had sex with in the woods at the end of last season. Finally that storyline has returned! He thought it must have been a dream, but she assured him that it wasn’t. I still think she’s going to end up pregnant with his kid. Meanwhile Jason ran into his cousin Hadley, which is when he figured out the place was some fairy hide out. She warned him to get Sookie and get here, they were in grave danger. She thought Sookie had actually been captured. Jason didn’t understand and thought his sister was probably safer with the Vamps given what happened with the fairies before. Hadley then let it slip that their parents were killed by vampires! This didn’t sit well with Jason, nor another fairy, who had the three guys thrown out. We’ve always known there was something about Sookie’s parents’ death that was off, now we know. The big question is who killed them? Is it a vampire she knows? Bill and his maker on one of their killing sprees?
Lafeyette continues to be possessed by Jesus’ demon. When he got mad at Sookie, he was overcome by the demon and put a curse on her car. This caused the car to spin out of control and almost kill Sookie. Meanwhile Tara was saved from frying herself in the tanning parlor by Pam, who ordered her not to do that again. Tara began to deal with her new life, but was not about to forgive Sookie. She told Bill as much, saying he should just stay far away from her because nothing bad ever happens to Sookie as there is always someone willing to take a bullet for her.
Finally Sookie thought Alcide was going to turn her in, and she thought she would end up in jail. She confessed all to Jason, but Jason wouldn’t arrest her. Jessica even glamoured Andy into forgetting all about the Debbie Pelt case. Alcide knew the Pelts wouldn’t go away, so he told them that Marcus killed Debbie, and he killed Marcus. Later Alcide showed up to tell Sookie she would be okay. They both got drunk and kissed, as Bill and Eric spied on them. Eric felt they should leave Sookie be, but Bill wouldn’t. He felt there was a leak somewhere, somehow someone found out about Russell. He wants to use Sookie to help them find out where the leak is and who dug him up. I’m wondering if a fairy may have read Alcide’s mind and maybe dug up Russell to cause a vampire war in hopes they would kill each other off, or have the humans turn on them? There was something off about Hadley telling Jason that he and Sookie had to get to this den to hide out and be safe, as if she knew what was about to come.
