Ausiello is now reporting that the producers of “Ugly Betty” have been informed by ABC that the show will not have another season. Worse yet, they are chopping off 2 episodes of what was supposed to be a 22 episode season.

The show has been preparing for this possibility and has always been working towards what could be a series finale this year. Many have noted that they have been heavily hinting at a Daniel/Betty pairing, which is how the original telenovela ended.

Fox411 is reporting that Liza Minelli will join “Ugly Betty” later this season. However at this time, the news has not been officially confirmed.

Reports have her playing a hilarious and outrageous drama teacher. If true, could she be pivotal in Justin’s coming out?

Once again, not too much. For those who are fans of “Lost,” it is returning. The last week of January has “Grey’s” and “Practice” repeating. No release yet for “Brothers and Sisters.” On “Housewives” Julie Benz from “Dexter” begins her guest run, while this is the drag queen episode of “Ugly Betty” this week.

“Ugly Betty” returned last night with an awesome episode. In the end, Cal Hartley was out at Mode and Willihemena back in. I have to say, I STILL have issues with Willy using the money Conner stole from Mead to buy her way back in, but they don’t know how in with Cal she really is. I’m sure she’ll slip up at some point.

I have a feeling based on how things were left with Cal, learning about his bastard son, that the kid will resurface at some point down the line. In the episode he was in, Claire accidentally left her business card or something with the giant tip. I bet he looks into her and figures out she’s his birth mom.

Matt’s art show, arranged by Betty, was the best part of the show. Unbeknowst to Betty, the woman setting up the show picked paintings Matt did during their break-up, so it was things like Betty as Medusa, Betty eating Matt’s heart, etc . . . The paintings were hilarious, especially the one Amanda bought of headless Betty and just her boobs!

Mark’s gayboy stalker/boyfriend wanna be was so adorable. I felt bad for him as Mark was trying to get rid of him, but at the end it seems Mark took a liking to him.

Of course the shocker was when Hilda accidentally spilled the beans to Bobby, as well as her father, that she was pregnant. Oops! At first I was against Bobby, because I liked Archie so much . . . but I’m warming up. I just don’t know if he will be good for her. I think though he will be good for Justin, and that will win Hilda and her father over.

According to the Daily Telegraph in Australia, Australian actor Grant Bowler has signed on for season 3 of “True Blood.” There is no mention of who Grant will play.

Currently Grant plays Connor Owens on “Ugly Betty.” The world thinks he’s dead, but he’ll be returning from the death in the upcoming episode which takes place in Bermuda.

Once again an awesome episode of “Ugly Betty” this week, and two older storylines over and a few more coming to the forefront it seems!

Most of the episode dealt with Claire and Betty, along with Daniel and Amanda, proving to Daniel that the Community of the Phoenix was a cult and their leader Bennett a conman drugging people through a hallucinogenic tea. I was so glad to see him go, but sadly Daniel’s new assistant still believed in the Community and left with them. I hope she breaks free, or Daniel goes back for her. They were kinda of cute, and though it initially looked like she was bad and in on the scam, she wasn’t.

The other scam artist finally busted was Willy’s daughter Nico. Nico claimed she was trying to get revenge on her mother, who always put her career before her and never had time for her growing up. Willy told her she never wanted to see her again,and Nico said she’d get what she wanted. Looks like Nico is gone, for now. How fitting would it be if she did end up in trouble though after all this?

By the end of the episode Claire had found her kid she gave up years ago and made plans to fly out and see him. Wonder how that will go? I guess he isn’t someone we know after all. Also next week is the big Mode shoot in Bermuda where Willy runs into a very much alive Connor!

I really really hope ABC gives “Betty” another season. The ratings have been horrid, but the show amazing. Part of me wonders if they moved “Betty” to Friday nights knowing this would happen and then they have a justified reason for killing it.
