Celebrity Big Brother?
So I haven’t been following any “Big Brother” gossip lately, but I did pay attention to this story that showed up in my inbox. Apparently there are rumors there will be another “Winter Big Brother,” but this time it’s a celebrity version! The U.K., which originated the show, has done a few of them. The last time they had Dennis Rodman, Dirk Benedict (A-Team Fame) and Pete Burns (Dead or Alive front-man) as contestants.
Yazmar.com has posted a rumor flying around that for the U.S. version, they’ve apparently signed both Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston to appear together on the show, which begins airing in January 09. Oh my lord, talk about some serious drama! That’s worth buying the feeds for!
I’m a bit embarassed to admit that I’m quite excited about this rumour!

Oh I watched the Being Bobby Brown Xmas special and almost peed myself. Let me tell you, I plan to watch this catastrophe lol. I am proud to admit, I find something somewhat funny about watching rich celebrities muffing it all up!

So basically The Surreal Life but they’re locked in and get to vote each other off?
Can’t say I share the excitement! I’d love a winter edition but with real people!

I tend to agree. I dont want a celebrity edition. I liked surreal life but to have the celebs on Big Brother thats biggest selling point was people who could be *us* the viewers…. i guess I think it misses the point.

Bad idea! They need to keep reality tv real. I have stopped watching the Apprentice for that reason, they are now coming out with another celebrity edition. I’d hate to lose Big Brother to the same fate!

I think the reason they are doing it probably based on the popularity of other celebrity shows, but also because they want to do 2 big brothers a year now and it could be easier to get a celebrity one together (and quicker)

I hope the rumor is true!!! That would rock!!

I really hope it true, celebs/has-been’s without agents and assistants having to deal with each other sounds like a great idea. My worry is that American television will ruin this idea. Other countries have done it and treated them like other players but i cant see American celeb’s dealing with the same treatment. BUT OMG, how fun does a Whitney Bobby melt-down on after dark sound?
