Secret Circle: Blackwell Is A Bad Bad Man!

Secret Circle: Blackwell Is A Bad Bad Man!

Posted by Dustin on 03.31.2012 at 6:29 pm

So I realized it’s been a few weeks since I discussed “The Secret Circle.” What have we learned these past two weeks? That John Blackwell is not a good man, but possibly not as bad as Dawn yet.

We basically learned that he’s been lying to Cassie and the circle, a whole lot. For starters, he still has his powers. Not as many as he did, but he has them. He also used them to convince Cassie and Adam that they were cursed, and cursed the circle by being together. His trick work, and it drove them apart. A potion concocted to make them forget their love worked on Adam, but Cassie’s magic was too strong. So while Adam knows he once loved her, he doesn’t feel it anymore. Cassie has to pretend for everyone’s sake . . . .

So why’d he do it? He claimed that Adam and Cassie’s love would end up destroying the circle and making them all vulnerable . . . or something like that. So he did a bad thing, but supposedly for noble causes? Hmmmmmm . . . . Dawn didn’t seem to believe his answer too much either. She knows he has powers now, and that’s gonna piss her off to no end.

The latest episode returned to Eban and the witch hunters. We learned that Eban had basically gone mad. Not only does he have a witch working with him, he had gained powers from them. Now he was planning to summon deamons just like Blackwell did years ago in order to destroy the witches once and for all. This was learned from a witch hunter who was friends with Jake, who ran, because Eban was trying to sacrifice him to the deamons. Apparently to call them, a human must be killed.

John refuted to the kids that he killed anyone years ago, and explained to the circle that he did summon the demons to try and end the witch hunters, and it backfired badly on all. He told them they must stop Eban before he summoned them. As they had a showdown with Eban, John had no choice but to use his powers to save Cassie and the kids, showing his card to them. However he covered saying he couldn’t convince Cassie to stop using her dark magic, if he was still using his . . . . Hmmmmmm. . . .

Later, John told the circle he was wrong about not using his magic. He was wrong about hiding in fear. They had to face Eban and the hunters and come out to the world, so to speak. However none of them had the power to defeat Eban alone, but with their family’s crystals they could. He explained the history behind them, that originally they were one powerful crystal that the original elders feared, so they broke it into six. Each family got one . . . . If they could get them all and re-assemble them, they could beat Eban . . . .

The final moments of the show had John Blackwell returning to the field where the deamon summoning occurred. He dug up a body, presumably who he killed years ago and lied about . . . .

So the questions now are . . . .Who did John kill? I am assuming this will become important. Also is he being truthful about the crystals, or like Dawn and Charles, is this a lie just to get his hands on them? If it’s not a lie, they better hope bringing them together can recharge the ones Dawn and Charles have drained. Oh and of course, who is the witch working with Eban? I’m going to guess one of the kid’s dead parents also isn’t as dead as they think, and that’s who is working with Eban.

Also, the last two episodes have also had Diana meet this charming English bloke, who turned out to be a charming liar . . . but she’s giving him another chance. Mistake? I guess I suspect he’s going to turn out to be someone of importance somehow.

9021….Oh No Another Hiatus?

9021….Oh No Another Hiatus?

Posted by Dustin on 03.29.2012 at 7:45 pm

I swear 90210 just came back . . . and now is off the air again until the end of April. What what what !?!?! Honestly, I guess I won’t miss it too much, and it is on against “Glee” which is soon returning.

Again, if it weren’t for the prospect of Teddy’s return . . . I’m not sure if I’d keep tuning in. I guess it’s the wondering “what next will they do?” Such as with the latest episode, where everyone seems to be swapping boyfriends and girlfriends.

The best part about the last episode was that Liam finally wised up to Vanessa, who took all the money she could from him and fled. But this just left Liam wounded, and Silver learned she had the cancer gene so she was wounded . . . so they had wounded people sex. I think Liam is basically just out to sleep with every female on the show at this point.

Meanwhile Navid was hurt Silver didn’t confide in him about her cancer, and Adrianna is upset that Dixon ditched her and went on tour with Haley Rhineheart (of American Idol), and both consoled one another. No they did not have sex, but old habits . . . I could see them back together soon.

What else happened? Well Annie’s “friend” PJ is about to lose his entire fortune unless he gets married, so surpass, he proposed to Naomi! Annie herself is in love with a priest. Then there is Ivy, who seems to be back on a suicide mission after Raj’s death . . . .

Teddy can’t get here fast enough for me!

A Few ABC Spoilers for April . . . And Promising Body of Proof News . . . .

Not too many new spoilers for early April. Seems like a lot of repeats coming on again until the May Sweeps season takes hold. Given the amount of hiatuses shows take nowadays . . . is there even a point to sweeps anymore? Well moving on . . . .

ABC’s “Body of Proof,” which has been one of the shows that many have wondered if it will get another season, earned it’s best ratings for the season last night. Of course they also killed of Dani . . . . I was so angry! Poor Peter! Did they have to kill Dani? Why why why !?!?!?! They are also launching a new “Webisode” series for the show. Both bits of news give promise . . . because I’m gonna be pissed if we don’t learn what really happened to Megan’s dad!

On the Season Finale of “Body of Proof,” Megan faces a serial killer she herself helped put behind bars.
On an all new “Grey’s Anatomy,”Christina demands Owen tell her about his affair! Also some of the docs plan a ladies night for Teddy.

Read on for the full spoilers . . .

Whoopi and Lohan To Glee?

Whoopi and Lohan To Glee?

Posted by Dustin on 03.27.2012 at 8:26 pm

The Hollywood Reporter and TV Line broke two HUGE “Glee” related stories today.

First, Whoopi Goldberg is set for multiple episodes as Carmen Tibideaux, a NYADA professor who will take part in judging Kurt and Rachel’s auditions for the performing arts school. Remember both got calls to audition, but aren’t guaranteed a spot.

Lindsay Lohan is also being tapped to guest as a celebrity guest judge for the Nationals Competition.

“Glee” returns on April 10th with Matt Bomer guest staring as Blaine’s older brother. The two will be singing songs by Duran Duran in the episode. Also coming up is Anne Hathaway’s appearance as Kurt’s gay aunt.

Desperate Housewives: Missing Mike!

Desperate Housewives: Missing Mike!

Posted by Dustin on 03.27.2012 at 7:41 pm

So there are only a few episodes of “Desperate Housewives” left. I never thought I’d actually be glad about that, but oddly I am. The show without Mike, just isn’t the show. Even if he wasn’t on as much as others, just knowing he was cruelly gunned down depresses me.

Then there is this Tom and Lynette storyline. Just end it already! I can’t decide if I want them back together, which is clearly what Lynette wants. I just have come to loath what Tom has become at this point. Really Lynette? Are you sure he’ll make you happy?

I loved Gabby going out to get a job, and landing one at a store as a personal shopper. What a perfect job for her. Then again, I think she’ll just spend all the money she brings in. Hmmmm, maybe it’s not the best job for her.

Andrew’s return with his surprise female fiancé was also great. Bree had the best line of the night with “You’re here, you’re queer, I’m used to it!”

One thing I’m having issues with is Bree suddenly becoming the main suspect in Alejandro’s murder. I know it’s because Orson tipped the cops off . . . but has anyone stopped to ask how Bree would know this guy, and why she’d want him dead? It seems like they’ve all but left out any talk of motive for her. I’m also shocked nobody on the force has connected him to Gabriel yet (unless I’ve missed something).

Once Upon A Time: Off With Their Heads!

Once Upon A Time: Off With Their Heads!

Posted by Dustin on 03.26.2012 at 8:44 pm

The latest episode of “Once Upon A Times” opened up just so many doors, and so many questions!

Mary Margaret, with the mysterious key left in her cell, escaped. Emma went after her, and found herself searching the outskirts of Storybrooke. This is where she came upon a mysterious man named Jefferson. Jefferson kidnapped her, held her hostage in his VERY NICE HOUSE . . . where Emma found Mary Margaret tied up in a spare room. Jefferson told Emma he needed her, she was the only one who could come and go from Storybrooke, thus she had magic. He needed her to make him a hat, a hat that he could use to go back to his own world . . . We then learned Jefferson was a variation of the Mad Hatter in fairytale world, who was used by Regina. He could travel to Wonderland, where the Queen of Hearts stole something from Regina that she wanted back. Long story short, the Queen stole Regina’s father, and had him held captive in some vault that was hidden in her maze garden. The amount of people who enter Wonderland must be the same who leave it, that was the rules of Jefferson’s magic hat. Regina trapped Jefferson there in order to rescue her father . . . 2 go in and 2 must leave . . . . . Back to the real world, Emma Jefferson his hat, but then she and Mary plotted their escape. Mary ninja kicked Jefferson out of a window, with the hat Emma made firmly in his had. All they found below was the hat . . . . Where did Jefferson go? Emma and Mary returned to the station just in time for Mary’s hearing that day. This startled Regina, as she and Mary’s lawyer Gold fully did not expect to see Mary Margaret there . . . what do they do now? Regina made a deal with Gold, this was not part of it . . . . He said she’s still get her “justice.”

Let’s discuss ! ! ! !

First off, let’s talk about the “time” issue. As noted in the shout box . . . did Jefferson noted he had been trapped in his house for 28 years, the same age as Emma was? Sean responded that would make sense, given the curse started with her birth . . . . I actually didn’t catch this tidbit, so bravo!

But let’s discuss a BIGGER time issue. What’s with Regina’s “dead” father? Did we not already learn his death let the curse happen? What’s going on? Are we seeing something from the past? I think so! Her father was not miraculously saved . . . so what is going on. Did you notice the Queen of Hearts’ vault he was trapped in was the same vault that Regina/The Queen retrieved the Huntsman’s heart from? What can this mean? Did you notice we NEVER saw The Queen of Hearts’ face? What can this mean? I am certain Reginina/The Queen’s mother . . . IS the Queen of Hearts! So did Regina trap/cast her in Wonderland for some reason?

Why does Jefferson remember the truth, when nobody else does? Strike that, James KINDA does . . . but only because he was in a coma in this world and injured in the other world right before the curse . . . Where was Jefferson? Wonderland! So was he to immune from the curse? So far, it seems like it. Now that Emma has read the book and seen the photos . . . which match the scar on Jefferson’s neck . . . it seems she is finally beginning to believe. Also just who is Augustus? I’m still going with Gold’s son 🙂

Then there is the question of what Regina and Gold are up to? Clearly they left the key. Clearly they expected Mary Margaret to escape. Why? Maybe because if Mary dies in some way (say trying to leave town), the curse can never be broken? But why does Gold want that to happen? As it seems like he has been invested partially in breaking it?

Discuss!

Army Wives: Is Susan Lucci Scheming Again?

Army Wives: Is Susan Lucci Scheming Again?

Posted by Dustin on 03.26.2012 at 7:09 pm

So after last night’s “Army Wives” I have to wonder if Claudia Joy is being played by her new BFF Audrey (Susan Lucci). While Kevin comes off as a hard ass, and Jackie clearly tries too hard and overdoes things . . . so far neither seem to be the schemers that Audrey is making them out to be . . . Denise is at the point where she thinks Claudia Joy is way over-reacting, Michael wants her to take it down a notch, and even Roxie seems to be okay with Jackie (they aren’t BFFs or anything though). I have to wonder what Audrey’s real game and motive her is?

Roxie took over her own FRG group now that Trevor is an officer’s wife, and with that came a much needed make-over, with Denise’s help. Actually I liked Roxie just fine, but as she’s now an officer’s wife, she’s expected to look the part. That’s where Denise came in. Their make-over and shopping spree was a really cute part of the show, especially since we don’t have the Pamela and Roxie friendship aspect anymore.

Finally Joan worked together with her “nemesis” Charlie in order to better communicate with all the new comers at Ft. Marshall who, because of overcrowding, were having issues. I really liked this story, and could see a beautiful new friendship coming out of it. Joan has never been a “girlfriend” kinda gal, so this could be fun!

The previews from next week see to allude to what I’ve been worrying about could come or happen. It looks like David’s HIV status gets out at school, and parents want him out as he’s a danger to their kids. This is going be heartbreaking for sure!

Smash Gets A Season 2! Plus Thoughts and Spoilers!

Smash Gets A Season 2! Plus Thoughts and Spoilers!

Posted by Dustin on 03.23.2012 at 2:36 pm

So NBC has given a Season 2 order to “Smash!” I’m actually happy, as I do enjoy the show. I don’t watch it live, as my tivos are recording other things at the same time, so I watch it on Hulu usually. And I don’t always race to watch it ASAP, I usually save it for the nights nothing is on. But I do enjoy it.

I definitely do NOT enjoy the Julia and Michael story. I’m glad Julia had a case of the guilts and put an end to it. I am sad to see they had to fire Michael Swift though . . . something tells me Derek will bring him back. You know this story isn’t over. If Julia ends up pregnant . . .

I feel like Tom is throwing away the nice lawyer guy now that he’s found out that Ivy’s pompous “straight” friend is in fact gay. Suddenly he has the hots for him? No Tom, nooooooo! This is just what Julia did, mixing show business with pleasure.

Bernadette Peters playing Ivy’s mom was of course fantastic. I hope they can keep bringing her back on. I’d love to see other famous broadway celebs make cameos. Calling Tim Curry?

Spoilers for the next two episodes follow . . .

Adam Levine to American Horror Story?

Adam Levine to American Horror Story?

Posted by Dustin on 03.22.2012 at 8:22 pm

If you haven’t turned on a radio today, you may not have heard, that Adam Levine (Maroon 5, “The Voice”) is supposedly up for a part on “American Horror Story” for season 2. Adam would play one half of a couple only known as “The Lovers” at the moment. Gay or straight lovers? Who knows! Adam has a gay brother though, and has been a very vocal gay rights supporter.
