Season 2 begins airing on HBO (correction) on June 14th.
So I watched the season finale of “US of Tara” this weekend. It airs next Sunday on Showtime, but if you had digital cable you can get it now via Showtime on Demand.

So the season wrapped up fairly nicely, leaving a few cliff hangery questions. Marshal learned his boy love interest did exactly what his sister said he would, start dating girls. He also realized his mom and T were protecting him from getting hurt by the guy just as his sister said. Poor guy, hopefully he’ll be luckier in love next season.
Katie’s creepy boss got fired, but is still apparently stalking her and convinced they are destined to be together. Weirdo! This wasn’t resolved, so I bet we see him next season. Buck needs to kick some ass I think!
Charmaine is dating Mr. Perfect, but seems unhappy and unsatisfied with him, thinking maybe Neil is Mr. Right For Her. Neil being everything Mr. Perfect is not of course. I think Charmaine just can’t handle not being in some kind of messed up situation personally.
The main storyline of course was Tara’s confrontation/meeting with Trip, who was the guy that something happened with in boarding school, bringing her alters out and causing her to lose 6 months of time. All season long they had made it sound like Trip raped her. I was prepared for the opposite to come out, that it was Tara who raped him. Both accounts were basically wrong though. What happened was both Tara and Trip got drunk, and Trip admitted he did take advantage of her. However he didn’t really know her well, she was quiet, never the party type. When he called her T, that’s when the stuff hit the fan. It turned out T was the one he slept with. She came out and admitted she was in control that night, she did it with Trip and his friend Mike. She then claimed Mike and Trip did each other! Trip hurried his wife out the door at this point, we don’t know if T was just being raunchy or truthful.
What it came down to was the alters were already present when this night happened. The doctor said clearly they were there and this night brought them back out, but it was another trauma earlier in life that caused their presence to begin with. What could it be? I don’t know, but I have a feeling Charmaine does. She’s screwed up in her own way, and she never fully seemed to buy Tara’s alters at the beginning of the season. I think whatever happened to Tara, Charmaine was involved or a victim as well.
Ausiello has revealed that Dustin Milligan, who plays Annie’s heartthrob Ethan, is expected to exit next fall early on in Season 2. The decision was a creative one, as the show is set to take on new direction under the new head of the show Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair.
Matt Lanter, who was brought in as Liam, Naomi’s new love interest, will be promoted to a full cast member next season. Additionally the vets of the original 90210 are expected to be used less next year.
Only time will tell if these changes will be good for the show or not!
New in this update are “Castle” and “Samantha Who” spoilers for the middle of April. “Grey’s” and “Private Practice” are repeats on April 16th.

The headline for “B&S” is a bit odd, considering Holy already agreed to drop charges against Tommy in last week’s episode!
It looks like we get two new shows for April, airing on the 10th and the 24th. The 3rd and 17ths are repeats. Read on for the spoilers, which include Hillary Duff’s guest appearance, a bunch of Soap Stars, and baby news . . .
So this week on “Private Practice” we watched Addison continue to debate how to act with her patient and Noah. She had decided to stay on as the wife’s doctor, but things got dicey when the wife confided in her. It seems she and Noah were having major problems and about to separate when they got pregnant. She knew this baby was all that was keeping her husband with her, so she begged Addison to save it as she loved him. The wife remained iffy, and at the end Noah showed up at Addison’s place. It was raining, he knocked on the door, he told her he didn’t know why he was there. They kissed, but she quickly shoved him out and locked the door.
Pete entertained the idea of dating a patient’s mother. There was a lot of office flirting going on, and eventually he asked her out. Poor Violet was troubled by Pete dating, clearly she’s still hung up on him and hoping. Charlotte and Violet had a little falling out in this episode, but in the end Charlotte knew Violet was hurting and told Cooper he needed to spend some time with Violet.
Sam ended up involved in some courtroom drama this week. His friend, the one dating Naomi, asked him to testify as a witness. A doctor he was defending was being accused of malpractice. The prosecution tore Sam apart on the stand, and his friend knew if he was to save the case he’d have to bring Sam back to present himself as a competent doctor. Sam decided to brush up on the case, reading through the files, which is when he found the doctor in fact did make a mistake. The patient who died was allergic to aspirin, which the doctor gave him when he was brought into the ER. It was a tragic accident, a decision made in the heat of the moment when the doctor didn’t have time to read through charts. However the doctor foolishly tried to cover up his mistake by tampering with the charts and evidence. Sam was torn as to what to do, but in the end told the truth.
Cooper ended up dealing with, and becoming upset, over a patient and her mother. The patient was twelve and the mother wanted birth control for her. It order to protect her daughter as best she could, she was allowing her and her boyfriend to have sex, as long as they did it in her house. Her thinking was they’d do it anyways. However she wasn’t sure they’d use condoms, so she wanted birth control. Cooper was furious, feeling they were too young to be having sex. In the end the 12 year old ended up pregnant. The mom wanted her to have it taken care of, the girl wanted to keep the baby. The mom and Cooper, who had been on bad terms, came together to help the child having a child.
Finally poor Dell walked around angry and upset, coming in late to work, not caring. It seems he still had heard nothing from his ex. At the end of the show Sam lectured him, saying he knew he was hurting, but he also had a family here that counted on him as well.
My Thoughts
I thought the ending with Addison and Noah was super cheesy with the showing up on the doorstep in the rain. Overdone! I was not happy Addison kissed him, but at least she had enough sense to lock him out. Why do I get the feeling they are setting it up so the baby, perhaps even the wife dies, and then Addison and Noah will do the deed in their grief? Sorry, but I STILL won’t like or accept Addison and Noah then. This whole romance is just icky because it started when he was married and lying.
The Sam story I thought was fun because the courtroom part was different. Dell I feel horrible for. I’m still convinced the ex is back into drugs and ran because she owed money.
Cooper’s storyline with the 12 year and her mother was just troubling! I got that the mother figured her daughter was going to have sex anyways, so she wanted to make sure she was as safe as could be. However she seemed only concerned with making sure her daughter didn’t end up pregnant. Hello how about dead from an STD?
So the latest episode of “Grey’s” began with Derek’s crappy, no words proposal, just handing the ring to Meredith. She said no, she wouldn’t say yes like this, or if he was just proposing so that if Izzie died things would be okay.
Meanwhile Christina and Owen were sleeping together, just sleeping, when he had a nightmare and began choking her in her sleep! She hit him on the head to stop him, and afterward he was devastated. Christina assured him she was fine. Callie and Meredith were not convinced Owen was okay and shielded Christina from him throughout the episode.
Izzie meanwhile was checked in and sat in her room knitting until her first of many many surgeries they had outlined for her. The first would be to address the tumor in her brain. All her friends seemed afraid to visit her, making themselves busy. Bailey was not pleased by this! Alex meanwhile was dropping off a sperm sample to fertilize and freeze some of Izzie’s eggs, just as a precaution. Apparently fertilized eggs are more successfully implanted rather than unfertilized ones.
Derek made his return to the hospital and performed surgery on Izzie. She survived, they seemed to have gotten the tumor out. Still there were other surgeries that had to be done to address issues elsewhere in her body where cancer had taken hold. Bailey ended up lecturing everyone on not visiting with Izzie.
Alex learned this lesson the hard way through another patient in the hospital, an old woman who had been on her death bed for years. Every time doctors thought she’d die, her family came. They were getting tired of this, as she had been here many times before. They came across hard and uncaring, having things to do and places to be, but in the end they revealed they were devastated the first and second times, now it’s just become a ritual and they didn’t expect her to die. Basically they were guarding themselves. When she did die, they grieved. Before going the old lady told Alex that even though her relatives seemed hard and uncaring, they were her people, people are better than no people.
George and Callie meanwhile had their own issues with Izzie’s illness. Callie had wished Izzie dead after the breakup of her marriage, now she was feeling guilty. George meanwhile was angry that Izzie turned to Christina and not him. They comforted each other while they waited for the news.
Derek ended up giving Meredith a proper proposal, in the hospital elevator. He decorated it with Xrays and charts from all their surgeries together and important moments. She said yes.
At the end Christina and Owen finally made love. However she found herself unable to sleep in his arms, she was afraid. She thought she could do this, she couldn’t, and she dumped him. Owen asked Derek to give him a CT scan and check out his brain to see what was going on.
My Thoughts
I thought this was a really awesome episode. If “Grey’s” keeps this up, they’ll be back to the show they originally were, the show you can’t wait to watch every week.
The Christina and Owen story was by far my favorite this week. Owen CLEARLY has some issues he has to deal with. Why did he undergo a CT scan? Expecting something abnormal causing this behavior? I think he needs to see a shrink, it’s clearly post-traumatic stress syndrome! Will he and Christina work this out? Of course! They are the new hot couple.
I loved seeing George have more of a part in this episode, and him and Callie coming together over Izzie was great. It was like closure to their failed marriage.
The whole thing with Alex’s sample and fertilizing the eggs was funny, but odd. They haven’t really been together all that long (well they were in the first season too). It just seemed odd, what if they broke up and she was stuck with his junk so to speak! I guess if she had to use them though, a baby is better than no baby.
Bailey was awesome as usual, especially when she lectured Izzie’s friends about doing better.
Of course Izzie survived, but she’s not out of the woods yet. Will they kill her? It would be shocking, and I think it will be the cliff-hanger of this season. I think we’ll end with her flat lining and being shocked. Next season she’ll either be alive, or it will be months after her death.

At the celebration for the 100th episode of “Grey’s,” Katherine Heigl (Izzie) told the press that she wants to stay on “Grey’s,” but the decision is in the show’s hands. She says she does not know if Izzie will live or die (sounds like we know what the season finale cliffhanger will be!)
Shonda Rhimes would not say what would happen to Izzie. All she would spoil was that the May 7th episode will take place on Meredith and Derek’s wedding day. Of course . . . that doesn’t mean Meredith and Derek will say “I do.”
Ausiello has already spoiler (below) that it’s someone else getting married. I could see MerDer getting called away from their wedding due to a surgery or something, and another couple stepping up in their place.
