US of Tara: More Clues To Tara’s Past!
Posted by Dustin on 05.31.2010 at 11:06 pm
A great “US of Tara” tonight. We learned a lot from the show AND the previews. So Mimi ran a foster home for kids who were abused at home, which is why Tara and Charmaine were sent to her. Mimi was who Alice was modeled after as well. Mimi had someone working with or for her named Dwayne, which brought out T, who acted like Dwayne had molested her. However Dwayne hadn’t worked for Mimi that long.
So we know Tara clearly was molested as a kid by someone. Her father? Not so fast! Next week’s episode previews showed Charmaine’s wedding, and a scene with Tara and her father. The father, who I’m guessing is having memory issues, thought they were at Charmaine’s graduation and wished their brother could be there. Is the brother who hurt Tara? And if so, is Buck or Grimmy modeled after him? Buck could be the older nasty brother (maybe from a previous marriage?) while Grimmy could have been a mentally challenged brother that was later hidden away in a hospital. Tara’s parents definitely don’t seem to like talking about anything that doesn’t fit into their ideal world.

If you haven’t made up your mind yet on the new ABC shows “Scoundrels” and “The Gates,” here are the first spoiler releases for them. I plan on at least watching the premiers to see if they are something I’ll enjoy.
THE MONHANS ARRIVE AT THE GATES AND MEET THEIR INVITING NEW NEIGHBORS, ON THE PREMIERE OF ABC’S “THE GATES”

So last night was the “Parenthood” season finale. I feel like they pretty much wrapped up all the storylines, perhaps in expectation that it might be a series finale? Fortunately the show comes back for a season 2. The one storyline that seems to serve as a bridge to season two is Crosby taking off to New York to be with Jasmine and Jabar.
Sarah, Christina, Amber and Haddie worked out their problems over Steve in this episode, after everyone teamed up to find Amber after she ran away. Frankly I wasn’t too thrilled with the outcome, as I feel Christina had been a nasty witch to Sarah and her son just to spite what Amber had done. Sarah, with Adam at her side, told off Steve and his parents. She pointed out that Steve had played both their daughters, but her daughter became the slut of the school while Steve skated off as the big stud. I feel like she should have said that to Christina, as it wasn’t just the school treating Amber that way. Sure Amber was at fault, but it takes two to Tango and nobody wanted to blame Steve. Frankly Steve’s parents should have been blasted as well, as they seem a little to lax with their kid.
I guess that’s about all I have to say. I would have liked to have seen more of Sarah going back to school, as well as Sarah and Amber’s teacher. I guess we have something to look forward to next year though.

Last night’s episode was so amazing on so many levels! Of course the stand out moment, even overshadowing all the Rachel/Shelby stuff, was Kurt’s father’s speech to Finn after using the “F” word in his house. I actually hope, given Finn learned a lesson by the end of the show, that Kurt and Finn’s mom don’t break up.
My favorite number was “Bad Romance,” as it was amazing to see both Tina and Sanata taking the lead vocals for a change. Santana might give Mercedes a run for her money!
Tina’s “Asian Vampires” routines with Figgens was amazing. It was hilarious when she and Will realized he thought Vampires were real! “My mom won’t even let me watch Twilight, she thinks Kristen Stewart seems like a bitch.” Amazing!
Of course the “Poker Face” goodbye between Rachel and Shelby was touching too. Here is hoping that Indina becomes a semi-regular on the show. It would suck for Rachel to lose her mom twice.
The big winner of the night though has to go to the costumes! I loved Brittany’s the best, though Quinn looked fierce with those lashes!
United States Of Tara: Alters = Real People?
Posted by Dustin on 05.26.2010 at 12:43 pm
So the latest “US of Tara” was a major leap forward in the search for what happened to Tara as a kid. Mimi not only was a woman who lived on Tara’s block as a kid . . . . but is who Alice is modeled after? We know Tara also adopted another real person as an alter, Shoshana . . . . so are T, Buck and Grimmy real people (or animals) too? I’m willing to bet they are.
The previews had Tara and Charmaine meeting Mimi, and Mimi introducing them to someone else . . . her son? Immediately “T” came out remembering who he was. My guess is he did something bad to the girls in Mimi’s basement. In fact the whole episode seemed to be code for it. Charmaine made the comment about Mimi’s basement being a molesting place, Kate’s older man got weirded out realizing she really was a teenager and he shouldn’t be in her room, and Marshall got propositioned by older men at a cruising spot.
There are only two episodes left in the season, which sucks cause the show has finally gotten really good!

The latest episode of “Army Wives” was a bit of a downer. Actually a lot of this season kinda has been. Here is hoping the drama will pick up and soon.
Roxy unfortunately had a miscarriage in this episode. Why why why? This was heart breaking. It seems she is always getting the crappy roll of the dice on this show. Denise meanwhile, from the previews, learns she is pregnant. I was kinda expecting that to happen. I believe the actress in real life is pregnant, so I was waiting for it.
Claudia Joy entered law school, which hopefully should be a good story. Pamela meanwhile took Chase back on his condition that he would quit Delta in four years after making sergeant, and that he would put the family and kids first whenever possible (ie when he was home). Somehow I don’t think that’s going to work out. Pamela and Chase have been here before, and it will take him 2 days to want to get out of the house and away from them and back to work. Next week’s previews again show them at each other’s throats. I was actually upset that Pamela didn’t stand her ground with Chase. If the rumors that Lifetime is looking to give Pamela her own show are true, then it looks like she and Chase may be headed for a divorce in the end. Would they then have to introduce a new Army Wife to fill the void?
The 90210 Season Finale & Next Seasons Teasers
Posted by Dustin on 05.23.2010 at 7:06 pm
So what to say about this year’s “90210” finale? We’ve definitely been left hanging, but not in the way I expected. I thought much more would happen honestly.
I hate that Jen is pregnant with Ryan’s kid and seems to be on top again. Ryan meanwhile spiraled into a drunken mess, taking off in a school bus/shuttle and crashing it. I really thought we’d see his car blow-up or something, but we didn’t. I’m not sure where he is, but he’s probably going to get fired.
Jaspar’s jealously made him burn down Liam’s boat. Liam dumped Naomi and grew closer to Annie. The show ended with Liam beating the tar our of Jaspar, while Annie went to confess to her parents about the hit-n-run. I honestly expected more here too. They kept making Annie mention she never stopped to see what she hit, she thought it was an animal. I expected it to be, and that Jaspar or someone else killed the uncle and Jaspar has been using it all year to guilt Annie.
Navid and Adrianna got back together, but the other guy won’t let her go and invited her on his year long world tour next year. She doesn’t know what to say.
Naomi got caught in a room with the teacher she accused of sexually harassing her, and he began to force himself on her, saying nobody would believe her again if she cried rape.
Finally Harry and Debbie got into a huge fight and Debbie said what neither wanted to, that they didn’t love each other anymore. So that’s how their marriage ends and Rob Estes’ is written out? Poo! Harry also got fired as his covering up Dixon’s part in the break-in came out when the other jerky kid tried to blackmail Harry into getting him a passing grade.
Next season the show moves to Monday. I’m not sure if that’s smart, it will go up against “Dancing With The Stars.” Here are the official teasers for next season . . . .
The third season of 90210 welcomes the West Beverly kids to their senior year of high school. It’s the time of college acceptances and lovers’ rejections, the time of prom dates and promises betrayed, the time of spring break, break-ups and make-ups – but as is always the case in Beverly Hills, it all happens in a world of sun and fun, palm trees and warm sea breezes, success and excess. From the very beginning of the school year, the lives of the West Beverly group will be shaken up in a way none of them could ever imagine. And from this new starting point, their journeys will take them to staggering new heights and terrifying new depths. We’ll see the rise of a pop sensation and the fall of a group of friends, the beginning of a new love and the end of a professional dream, the creation of an unlikely family and the demise of another. And that’s just the first week of school… It’s now or never for the students of West Beverly, and they’re not going to waste a moment of time. Expectations are high, hormones are raging, and scandals are hiding around every corner. From the brightest moments of love and happiness to the darkest hours of shame and fear, senior year at West Beverly promises to be an unforgettable journey into the lives, hopes and dreams of those lucky few who call 90210 home. The series stars Lori Loughlin as Debbie Wilson, Shenae Grimes as Annie Wilson, Tristan Wilds as Dixon Wilson, AnnaLynne McCord as Naomi Clark, Ryan Eggold as Ryan Matthews, Jessica Stroup as Silver, Michael Steger as Navid Shirazi, Jessica Lowndes as Adrianna Tate-Duncan, Matt Lanter as Liam Court, Trevor Donovan as Teddy Montgomery and Gillian Zinser as Ivy. 90210 is produced by CBS Television Studios with executive producer Rebecca Sinclair (“Gilmore Girls”) and Dave Rosenthal (“Gilmore Girls,” “Men in Trees”).

Season 2 hasn’t even begun, but apparently Fox has already renewed “Glee” for a third season. Several cast members have been tweeting about this in the past hour. Looks like we have a lot of “Glee” in our futures!
Meanwhile a spoiler came out on the Ryan Seacrest show that Puck and Arty both have to re-audition for the club next year, and only one makes the cut!
Here is an official story on the pick-up from Entertainment Weekly.
