Bailey’s A Twitter Star!

In the next new “Grey’s Anatomy,” much to the Chief’s dismay, Miranda Bailey becomes a Twitter addict and tries to use the tool to teach, and send live updates, from the OR.

In preparation, a Twitter account has been set up for the good doc. If you’re on Twitter then be sure to follow MirandaBaileyMD as she’s already tweeting, and it will no doubt figure into the upcoming episode.

Army Wives Returns March 6th

Army Wives Returns March 6th

The Futon Critic is reporting that Lifetime will begin airing the 5th season of “Army Wives” beginning Sunday, March 6th, at the new time of 9pm.

This is a bold move. The show usually begins in the summer when all other shows are off the air. Furthermore they are putting it up against ABC’s “Desperate Housewives.”

Pretty Little Liars: A for Assistant?

Pretty Little Liars: A for Assistant?

Posted by Dustin on 01.27.2011 at 1:46 pm

So I haven’t blogged about “Pretty Little Liars” since before vacation and thought it was long overdue. I just love this show, but I’m getting so confused. I really wish I had finished the books, but that’s not happening right now with everything going on.

-A seems to have gone from blackmailing the girls, to now helping them try and find Allison’s killer. As said in an episode, is -A someone other than the killer? Does -A have a split personality? This is killing me!

We did find out Lucas destroyed Allison’s park shrine, so many of the things we thought -A or the killer did might not have been done by either. Again, it’s getting more and more complicated. I do really like Lucas and Hannah, and hope she gets over Shawn and dates him. Though then he might end up turning out to be the killer or -A . . . .

I have this weird feeling that the camp Maya is at is not just about getting her off drugs, but converting her. I’m not going to be surprised if she comes back “straight.”

I can’t figure out what is going on with Ian and Melissa. I have a feeling that tape is a red herring, that Ian isn’t Allison’s killer. That they were just making out on the ground. Is Ian blackmailing Melissa? Is she the real killer? This marriage and desire to have a baby is so sudden, which as has been pointed out by Spencer, is not like her sister. She’s giving up all her dreams.

9021….Oh No They Pulled The Cousin Card!

9021….Oh No They Pulled The Cousin Card!

Posted by Dustin on 01.25.2011 at 4:32 pm

Last night “90210” returned, and they added a new character, Annie and Dixon’s incredibly annoying cousin Emily. Whenever a show plays the “cousin” card it’s usually not a good sign. I don’t know why they played it this early, because this annoying brat of a character really wasn’t needed at all. She was annoying five seconds after opening her mouth.

I loved the resolution to the Naomi and Mr. Cannon story, but wonder where they’ll take her character now? Maybe have her date Oscar, who was nowhere to be found?

The only other story I was interested in was the Teddy drama, which was just a minor story on this episode.

Adrianna’s fall was as painful to watch as her scheming climb to the top. They’ve made her character so unlikable I don’t know where they’ll take her.

The Dixon and Ivy story is also just painful.

Annie finally chooses between Liam and his brother Charlie, but of course Liam doesn’t want to rock the boat now that he has his brother back since they made nice, and Emily has been in town five seconds and is obsessed with Liam. YAWN!

I don’t know if “90210” is must see TV anymore, especially with “Pretty Little Liars” on ABC Family. I think “90210” is going to get put on Tivo till I have time to watch it if these storylines continue . . . .

Parenthood Thoughts and February Spoiler

Parenthood Thoughts and February Spoiler

Posted by Dustin on 01.23.2011 at 1:16 pm

So I don’t know if it’s the “Idol” effect or waiting till February sweeps, but a lot of shows don’t return with new episodes until February. “Parenthood” is one. There are spoilers below for the next new episode. Before then some quick thoughts . . . .

I absolutely love that Amber and Hattie have completely switched problem child/good child roles. I’ve always loved Amber, and there has always been something about Hattie that irks me. Now it’s not only her hair, but her attitude. In what world does she live that she thinks her parents should be okay with a 16 year old dating a 19 year old with his own apartment? I guess she lives in “teenage girl world.” Camille of course is making it worse by taking her side and seemingly encouraging this Romeo and Juliet love story. Christina annoys me enough as is, now Camille is making me side with her! I also love that even though Amber has been supportive, she’s also made it clear that the drinking thing is a bad sign, especially when he’s only 6 months sober. You can see this not ending well, with him falling off the wagon.

The story with Adam’s new boss is fun and has potential. Especially from the previews of the next episode when he gives Adam some laced candy. Maybe it will loosen Adam up a little. He’s gotten a little too stuffy since all the stuff with Max hit the fan. Anyone remember the show started with all the kids smoking weed behind the school during their kid’s assembly?

I loved that Crosby stood his ground for once with Jasmine and stepped up to be a parent with Jabar and the play. I still miss Renee 🙂

Oh and the news came out while I was on vacation that Jason Ritter will return for an appearance as Amber’s teacher and Sarah’s first love interest on the show. Weeeee!

FEBRUARY 1 – A HOUSE DIVIDED

ADAM AND KRISTINA FORCE HADDIE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN HER FAMILY AND THE BOY SHE LOVES, WHILE SARAH MAKES A SURPRISING DECISION — MICHAEL B. JORDAN GUEST STARS – Kristina (Monica Potter) refuses to accept Haddie’s (Sarah Ramos), relationship with Alex (guest star Michael B. Jordan, “Friday Night Lights”), causing her to move in with her grandparents. Sarah (Lauren Graham) puts her foot down at work and demands a higher salary to pay for Amber’s (Mae Whitman) tuition. Meanwhile, Max (Max Burkholder) makes a camping trip with Zeek extremely difficult. Julia (Erika Christensen) throws a bachelorette party for Jasmine (Joy Bryant) welcoming her to the Braverman tribe, while Adam (Peter Krause) gets more than he bargained for during a meeting with Crosby (Dax Shepard), shocking the entire family. Tyree Brown, Savanna Paige Rae, Miles Heizer and Sam Jaeger also star.

Housewives and B&S Post Vacation Thoughts . . . .

Housewives and B&S Post Vacation Thoughts . . . .

Posted by Dustin on 01.22.2011 at 2:43 pm

This post just contains two weeks of thoughts on “Desperate Housewives” and “Brothers and Sisters.” There are no new episodes this week, by the way.

I loved Lynette’s revenge tactics on Tom after finding out about him and Renee, but was shocked that this story didn’t drag out longer. She forgave him, and they moved on. Renee doesn’t have some little Tom Jr. out there does she?

Susan’s kidney story has given Teri Hatcher some good material to work with that doesn’t make Susan look like a bumbling fool. I’m actually enjoying Susan lately.

Bree Bree Bree, can she ever not screw up a relationship? Paying off Keith’s old girlfriend with the kid . . . .not good! And I so liked Bree and Keith, and now she’s gone and screwed it up.

Zack Young returning as Paul’s shooter wasn’t so surprising. I thought they might go there. Now Paul knows his son returned to kill him, and his wife is possibly out to get him too! It will be interesting to see what he does next.

On “Brother’s and Sisters,” I hated how they wrote Kitty out to D.C. and broke it off with her boy-toy guy. I know the actress wanted time off this season and this is how it is being written, but way to screw Kitty’s character up.

I also was sad to see Holly go. I’ve really liked Holly and feel like we still haven’t gotten any resolution with her. However Justin breaking things off with his new nurse pretty much makes it a done deal that if the show comes to an end, he’ll go off to New York to be with Holly and Rebecca too.

I am loving the new mystery surrounding Nora, William and her former boyfriend. Is Tommy not really a Walker? Duh Duh Duh Duh!

Medium Series Finale: They Blew It Up!

Medium Series Finale: They Blew It Up!

Posted by Dustin on 01.22.2011 at 1:46 pm

The producers of “Medium” said they were gunna blow it up, and they did! As cheesy as last season’s finale was, when they clearly thought that might be the end of the show . . . . I liked it better. This finale was just too dark and unhappy. I didn’t like that Joe and Allison didn’t get any kind of happily ever after.

Also I couldn’t help but, in the context of all the other shows the past year or so, feel this finale didn’t make sense at all. We saw too many flash forwards staring Ariel with Allison and Joe in their twilight years.
