As always, this post has spoilers in it for those on the west coast!
Tonight was the live eviction, and poor Michele was torn between voting out Angie and Jesse. They are the closest to her in the house, her best friends, and she was in tears.
Angie decided to stir up trouble in the house. When Jerry told Angie she was here in part because she, Jessie, Memphis and Michelle got cocky about how they were controlling the house; well she told the others. Michelle went into a rage and verbally attacked Jerry. Jerry said he wouldn’t be kissing her or Jessie’s ass next week if they have HOH.
Memphis also caused some trouble when he told Keesha that Jerry was kissing Angie’s ass, telling her not to worry, that it wasn’t over yet. Keesha confronted him and Jerry said he was saying no such thing, that they were talking about how the power shifts in the house from week to week.
We saw footage of the house guests during the quake in L.A. this week.
Jessie, for some unknown reason, decided to go around making threats . . . while he was on the block? He told Libra she was going bye bye and waved his hand at her like a little kid saying bye bye. He also called Jerry “Father Time” and then made a fart sound. Renny said he was the most disrespectful person in this house.
Julie told the audience and us at home, that contrary to what the Jessie, Angie, Michelle and Memphis gang said, the banner-plane that went over head had nothing to do with “Big Brother” at all!
Julie asked Memphis about Jerry’s comments that he was a womanizer, leading to him losing his cool. Jerry said that his comments were uncalled for and he had apologized to Memphis.
The house prepared to vote. Angie plead her case, reminding them all that only one person here will win the 500,000 dollars; not an alliance and not the majority of the house. She said they need to figure out who is the biggest roadblock between them and that money. Jessie then stood up and talked on and on about how he has been and will always stand up for himself and won’t tolerate when others disrespect him.
The house voted, and once again by a unanimous vote . . . Angie was out! Have these people lost their minds? They all voted Angie out instead of getting rid of someone who clearly has an advantage at physical competitions? I don’t know what to say! Speaking of Jessie, there are a lot of rumors around the internet about him. It seems some of the people who know him, friends and acquaintances, are coming out and saying that Steven is/wasn’t the only gay in the house! There are also some, naughty pictures out there from his modeling career, which you can easily google (Jessie Godderz). I will admit I did, and some of them look like he was modeling for a naughty magazine and not some muscle mag!
I also have to say these unanimous votes are really getting boring! Does everyone get together and just all decide they will all vote out one person each week? That’s what it seems like.
America’s player was revealed, and Dan is the winner. He accepted the offer and our first task is to get Dan to nominate the house guest we want to see evicted. You can vote at CBS
The HOH comp is an endurance one, so we won’t know for awhile who won. It involves everyone standing on the ledge of a building built in the back yard. They had to stay up as long as they could, and as usual obstacles were thrown in, the building moved and tilted to try and make them fall off, stuff was poured on them, etc.
I’ll update as soon as I find out who won, but it could end up going on till “After Dark.” Speaking of “After Dark,” it’s been painfully boring as of late, which is why I haven’t had as many AD spoiler posts. I usually end up turning it off and going to bed.
Read on if you can’t wait to find out who the new HOH is . . .
So last night was “Project Runway” and “Shear Genius” on Bravo. BTW, for fans of these kinds of shows, in September they are bringing back “Top Design” with a new host.
On “Project Runway” they had the photo challenge. This is were they take photos of interesting things in the city, choose the one they like the best, and create a dress based on it.
I have to say, I didn’t agree with their winner or their loser this week honestly. The woman who won made this oddly shaped Shirley Temple dress with some power suit shoulders from the 80s. They even called it a Joan Collins suit, but did like it. I felt the woman who made the graffiti outfit (Jackie? I can’t remember their names as there are still too many of them) should have won.
The woman sent home was Emily (I think). She made this black dress with some Carmen Miranda flower arrangement on the front. While I did think it was bad, it was so not as bad as this other woman’s dress who got to stay. I’m speaking of that hideous turquoise and brown thing that had no shape and Heidi called “matronly.” That should have gone!
Over to “Shear Genius,” wow was this ever a full of drama episode. The show started off with the short cut challenge, which actually was a color challenge. They had to dye hair into outrageous colors. Charlie won the challenge, which infuriated Dee as she thought she should have won (and actually so do I).
Charlie became full of himself, as usual, and started picking on Nikeesa, who he hates. She told him off. Frankly I’ve not liked Charlie for a long time and would love to see him go home! However he was not only safe in this episode, he didn’t have to compete!
The remaining six stylists were put into teams of two by Charlie. This was his reward for winning the short cut. They then had to compete in the “Charlie’s Angels” challenge. Each team had to style three women, re-inventing the old Angels’ hairstyles in a modern way. Kate Jackson was the guest judge.
The result were a giant disaster. So much so that NOBODY won! All the Kate Jackson hairdos were this terrible black bob. All the Farahs looked like Paris Hilton to me. The Jaclyns were just all over.
Nikeesa and Glenn found themselves in the bottom two, and in a shocking elimination Glenn went home. The looks on everyone’s faces were shear shock! I think they all expected Nikeesa to finally get sent packing. Glenn was booted basically because her styling of the Jaclyn character’s hair was so off, and it couldn’t be forgiven considering she looks at the actual thing all the time.

Tonight was the POV comp and the veto ceremony. The veto competition involved everyone pretending to be flowers in a bed and having gunk like worms and manure dumped on them. They had to stay in as close to an hour as they could without going over. In the end, Keesha won, as everyone else went over an hour.
Angie came to Keesha and told her that she would like her to take Jessie off and put Keesha up. Jessie has also suggested she take him down and put Libra up. He claimed he was here because Libra was the one who convinced him to put Steven up and the house to vote him out. The house hates Libra, but Keesha promised her that they would stick together.
The most hilarious part about Jessie, as I already posted, is that he and Michelle wouldn’t give Steven the time of day last week when he told them to get Libra out. Oops! Jessie continued to confront Kessha over her wanting to keep Libra, making himself look more and more idiotic and bad to the others. Keesha said she gave her word to Libra and she couldn’t go back on it.
A plane flew over with a banner and it had Libra’s name on it, but nobody really saw what it said celarly. The ones who saw it, Jessie and his gang, said the banner said “Libra and somebody are a liar, love Steven.”
Memphis ended up blowing up at Ollie when he called him a womanizer. Memphis warned him to watch it if he ever attacked his person like that again.
Keesha decided to stand by her word to Libra and did not use the veto. Personally I respect Keesha for sticking to her word, but at the same time she should have taken the opportunity to get Libra out and look like a hero. It would have taken the target off her back for next week. However Jessie has dug his own grave, and I would love nothing more than to see him out at this point.
Action Alert! We as viewers can now vote for a new America’s Player for one week only. Go to CBS.com/BigBrother for free voting. The house guests with the most votes will be offered 20,000 dollars to do what we want, but can also turn down the offer.
This episode started out with Claudia Joy at the doctor’s office. She had a scare, a pregnancy scare. When she told Michael, he was a bit upset that Claudia Joy was ruling out anymore kids. She thought that part of their life was over, but in the wake of Amanda’s death, it seems Michael is rethinking that plan.
Claudia Joy began helping Joan out, giving her baby clothes and talking to her about being a parent and how she’d be great. In the end, Roland and Joan asked Michael and Claudia Joy to be the godparents of their baby girl.
Roland was counseling one of his students Julie this week. She was accepted at West Point and all her dreams of becoming an officer were coming true. There was one problem, she was gay and her girlfriend Karen didn’t like this. She felt it was going to be the end for them. Julie felt she had to choose between West Point and the Army and Karen. Roland felt she didn’t, she should ask Karen to be patient, that things were changing and who knows what might happen in the future.
Unfortunately Roland was scene counseling the student in public, and the student put her hand on Roland’s at the end of the conversation. It appeared something was going on. Roland said he was just counseling her, but couldn’t reveal why. This cost him his job. The student wanted to come forward, but he said no as it would mean the end of her career. However she was worried what this would do to his career.
The student came out to her principal and got Roland his job back. Roland questioned the principal what this meant for the student. As this was a military school and many teachers wrote letters of recommendation, he felt he had to notify West Point about this. Roland implored him not to, that nothing has changed, she’s the same girl they all supported before knowing this. He asked the principal not to do anything and it seemed he let it slide.
Roxy need help at the restaurant and hired Sandy (guest star Ana Ortiz) as a waitress. However Sandy had a plan of her own and openly flirted with and made passes with Trevor. Roxy eventually fired her and Sandy slapped her with a wrongful termination suit. Roxy went to Claudia Joy for help, as she did go to law school. It had been years since she cracked a book, but they found out this Sandy person was serial suer! She had filed many of these before, and when confronted with the fact she could end up in criminal court, she backed down.
Meanwhile Trevor found out because his PT wasn’t going as fast as it should, his return to Iraq would probably be delayed. This led him to start abusing pain meds to try and show he could go back to work.
Chase was arrested in the middle of the night and taken away, and Pam could not see him or even find out what the charges were. Because he was Delta Force, even Michael couldn’t do much as it was out of his jurisdiction.
Pam went to see Carol, the wife she was suspect of last week, and found her house torn to pieces. Her husband was arrested for war profiteering, and Chase was charged as well. Pam refused to believe Chase was doing anything illegal, as a former cop she would have seen the signs.
Chase was released and revealed to Pam that he was undercover investigating his teammate. He was arrested as a cover, to protect him and their family from the dangerous people involved. Pam was thankful, but at the same time furious. She said he was not the only one protecting this family, she was too. This was not okay!
Denise and Getty’s flirtations continued in this episode. Roland had a talk with her about where he sees her going, how he too almost ruined his marriage. Denise found herself torn, but during a very trying attempt to save a patient, Getty lost it. In a private room Denise comforted him and told him he was a very good doctor, but there was nothing that could be done. He told Denise he didn’t want to keep denying this and kissed her. Denise kissed back, but also pulled back saying she couldn’t and ran off.
My Thoughts
As the story with Chase went down I felt it was very predictable that he was undercover. However I think this was the last straw for Pam regarding his top secret Delta Force job. I think we might finally see Chase resigning from it. It seems that is what we’ve been leading up to all this time.
The stuff with Trevor also was a bit predictable. I knew this story was going to go somewhere dark. Now with him abusing, who knows what will happen. Roxy won’t like it, it’s too close to her mother’s problems for sure. Also if he is sent back to Iraq and hooked on pain meds, that could really spell problems for him! He could find himself severely hurt, or endangering someone on his team.
Denise and Getty’s story was kind of side-lined this week, so I don’t have much to say about it. With Frank coming back next week (injured) things will really get messy for them. Denise is going to face a huge choice eventually.
Finally I really like Claudia Joy finally getting back to interacting with the other wives. In this episode with her helping Roxy with her problem, I have a feeling that she’ll end up going back to law school.
So tonight was the nomination ceremony. Before that though, Keesha talked with many people in the house and told way too many people her plan to put Angie up. She also told way too many people that she was not going to do what the “8” wanted her to, which was to put up Dan and Jerry.
The food competition was held, and nobody is on slop this week. Instead the house guests all played in a team for the food they would get that week.
Finally nomination time came. Keesha nominated Angie, because she felt she put the blame for what happened with Brian on her, Dan and Steven; and now Steven is gone. She felt Angie would be coming for her. She also nominated Jessie, saying he is also responsible for Steven going home.
I don’t know, Keesha better home someone she really trusts wins HOH next week, or she’s in big trouble!
Finally an important note. “Big Brother’s” normal Wednesday eviction show now moves to Thursday begining this week!
This episode opened with Susan in the Decker’s pool with Roger, so obviously having a dream that they were about to get it on. They were however caught by Bruce and Janet, who suddenly materialized in the pool. Susan woke up . . . and I guess we have an answer to that question . . . Susan does have a little something for Roger! Now we just have to find out if Roger has something for her.
The bulk of this episode was about Trina’s annual Puzzlerama party. She had hidden various colorful chips around town in all sorts of places and then at the party offered cryptic clues where to find the chips. People were paired in teams of men and women and sent to find them.
Bruce’s co-worker Melinda showed up, though she wasn’t invited. She scored a date with someone else. She also made sure she was paired with Bruce as his partner. She wanted to talk to him about her proposition, which Bruce apparently turned down. She let him know it was okay and he was a perfect gentlemen, no hard feelings.
Janet was paired with Tom, while Roger was put with Susan. This was another not-supposed to happen pairing, all screwed up by Melinda’s arrival. Susan later in the episode asked Trina if she did this on purpose, she told her no and Roger was supposed to be with Gail.
During the search for the pieces, Bruce and Melinda kept talking and finally it happened, Bruce kissed her and kissed her hard! Of course this happens as Janet and Tom were approaching. Tom saw and quickly kept Janet from seeing. I have a hunch that Melinda isn’t after Bruce but instead his job. She’s going to file a complaint I bet, get him fired and take his job! There is something about this girl I just don’t trust.
The game ended up in a tie, so Janet demanded a tie breaker question. The answer was hidden up in Trina’s room, and there she found the photos from the pool party . . . including one of Roger! She was furious and he confessed the day of the heatwave when he wasn’t at work he was here with Susan, as her air conditioner was broke. Janet was furious with just about everyone.
Later Bruce seemed miffed with Susan, but she said this was Roger’s secret to keep and he didn’t want anyone knowing he’d been fired. She never meant or would keep secrets from him. Of course Bruce is keeping a big one from her!
Elsewhere in this episode, Laurie was in some silly contest with her ex-teacher/boyfriend to see who could get the most voters to register. They were campaigning for Carter. Meanwhile BJ returned from camp and hung out with Samantha. I still say the kids storylines are snoozers!
At Comic-Con, a giant comic book convention, the 3rd season premier for “Heroes” was shown. Of course this means spoilers galore, and probably a few leaked videos.
You can read a pretty in depth play by play of what happens over at MovieWeb. I haven’t read it myself, I’m trying hard not to so I don’t spoil the whole fist show.
