Tara’s Fourth Alter!
I’m still watching “The United States of Tara” on Showtime and loving this show! It’s hard to describe what’s been going on though, as it’s a cable show and there is a lot of adult situations.
Tara’s son is gay and in love with a fundamental Christian pastor’s kid and has basically been volunteering to help the church with a “hell house” in order to get close to the kid. This is a church version of a haunted house, except you see sinners burning in hell. Well after throwing a kick ass party he had all his hopes dashed as he found out the guy was a brainless idiot who just sat around playing a guitar while girls sighed. I don’t know, I don’t think we’ve seen the last of this story.
Tara got her sister Charmaine fired form her Vitacel job (selling vitamins in some Mary Kay like organization) because Tara had an alter come out and write . . . um basically curse words all over the wall of her boss’ apartment. Tara got a job painting a mural for the woman (she’s a decorator and an artist) and one of the alters screwed things up. Well that’s what she beleives, but as of yet we don’t know which alter did it, and most are denying they did it.
This brings us to some news! Kristin at E! has reported that this Sunday Tara gets a fourth alter. Is this one responsible for the mural defacing? Maybe! I’ve seen the episode, so if you want some spoilers . . . read on!
In the next episode Tara’s parents come to visit and propose the idea of taking the children to live with them, which infuriates Tara’s husband. They do leave at the end of the episode, without the kids, but I have a feeling we will hear from them again . . . in some kind of court order issue.
Anyway, the new alter is revealed at the very end. She’s completely wicked, we don’t even know her name. She has this possessed devil look on her face and wears this red riding hood like outfit. The scene in which she is revealed is hilarious, not to be missed. It looks like she is definately the mural defacer . . based on what she does in the scene! Tara’s father keeps waking up in this episode to find out he’s wet the bed. He doesn’t know why it’s happening. At the end Tara’s husband walks in on the new alter squatting over her sleeping father peeing on his crotch!
I thought maybe Tara’s sister did the mural hating thing cause she was jealous of Tara & the fact that she lied about selling the product…which she wasn’t able to do

I love this show as well, and I kind of had a feeling it was going to be another Alter. I was talking about it with a friend and the three Alters she does currently have and know about don’t have anything to do with anger.
T is her way of cutting loose and not having to deal with things
Buck is when she has woman issues
Alice is home life
None of which deal with anger she might store away and not deal with. Thinking back on it I’ve don’t really remember any times when she’s lashed out at anyone. Even her sister said in one episode she just sits there and takes it.
Though…this alter seems a little crazytown.

I loved, loved, LOVED Buck when he told that dude he was beating up, “I’ll “F” you sideways!” Brillant writing. I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard at show in a really long time.
This series is so needed in a time of same ol’ same ol’.
