Desperate Housewives: Plane Crash!

Desperate Housewives: Plane Crash!

Posted by Dustin on 12.06.2009 at 11:01 pm

With the big yearly finales of “Housewives” and “Brothers and Sisters” tonight, I wanted to get some quick thoughts up as soon as possible after the shows ended. I tried adding throughout the shows, so these are somewhat stream of thought.

Thank you “Desperate Housewives” for giving us a Christmas episode!

I knew Katherine would finger Mike! The cops/doctor should be able to see from the entry wound that it was self inflicted though.

Now the show is trying to make us like Orson for saying he was bluffing? No, I’m sorry, I still don’t like him!

As much as Susan grates on my nerves with the way she acts all the time . . . OMG I am hating Katherine right now!

So glad Carlos and the company look bad for what they did. Suck it!

They are gunna kill Karl aren’t they . . . to keep Bree with Orson . . .

Dillion! Oh dear, Katherine is more nuts than we thought, pretending she’s been married to Mike all these months!

I guess I’m supposed to feel sorry for Katherine . . . but I didn’t feel sorry for Orson when he went nuts . . . so I’m not feeling sorry for Katherine!

MG if Karl dies then it will be some weird Karmic deal!

Well the greedy blackmailing nurse will die for sure!

OMG if we are left waiting to find out who dies . . . .

Hmmm if the nurse says they should have just called the cops . . . are they really mafia related? . . . The Bolens that is . . .

Dead nurse! And Lynette saved Juanita . . .which means make-up . . . but Lynette and the kids . . . .

So we are left teased with a dead Bree, Orson or Karl . . . Looked like a woman’s hand . . . but they won’t kill Bree . . . . Lynette losing the kids? Or Karl?

Leave your thoughts!

Private Practice: Death, Lies And Lesbians!

Private Practice: Death, Lies And Lesbians!

Posted by Dustin on 12.05.2009 at 8:12 pm

So what follows are my thoughts on Thursday’s big two hour “Private Practice.”

First up, I really enjoyed both episodes. However given they were the last of the year, it would have been nice to have a little mention of the holidays. The thing that sucks the most about the shows ending so early this year is that we get no real holiday episodes, aside from that fast forward show of “Grey’s.”

I guess we now know why Addison is so screwed up when it comes to love. Holy home-wrecking family Batman! A mother whose been in the closet her whole life out of some duty to her family and their social standing, and a father in love with her and not willing to leave her, but will screw anything that turns his head. Oy!

I have to say, could the Captain have found anyone but Violet to bed? I mean talk about hitting close to home with his daughter. And did Violet not think it would make work awkward having slept with Addison’s father? Sometimes I don’t think the people on this show use their heads!

Poor Pete is heartbroken to learn Violet gave herself to another guy. Okay I can’t feel too bad for Pete here, given it was only a week ago he was at a bar trying to pick up chicks. Also clearly this was a part of Violet’s healing. She needed to feel like should could be intimate with a man again, but probably couldn’t do that with someone she was emotionally attached to just yet. Again though . . . Addison’s dad?

Addison once again found herself coming onto Sam, but he stopped them from doing anything as she was acting out over her own family issues. No no no no! I don’t like Sam and Addison together. He should be with Naomi, and this would really screw up Addison and Naomi’s friendship in a big way.

Speaking of Sam and Noami, holy teenager from hell batman! What a piece of work their daughter is. I loved Naomi telling her to call her father to come save her life, as she was going to kill her! Then Sam telling Mia to go apologize to her mother and hope she didn’t kill her. Great lines from them in this story.

Cooper and Charlotte remained at odds, as Cooper still can’t get over Charlotte not telling him about her marriage. He’s actually making me feel bad for Charlotte with the way he’s treating her. I don’t like feeling bad for people who don’t normally deserve pity!

The final story dealt with Dell, Heather and Betsy. Poor Dell, this was really heartbreaking. I think it was clear to us all that Dell was living in denial about Heather being clean. When that house blew up, I knew immediately she was cooking meth up. Pete of course butted in and projected his troubles with Violet and the baby onto Dell’s not wanting Betsy to see her mother before she died. Pete had no right and it was great to see Dell deck him. At the same time, Dell is going to have major guilt from all of this. Not only not letting Betsy say goodbye, but telling Heather he hoped she died a painful death. I just hope they don’t do something like make Dell turn to drugs now!

90210: Jen Goes Down!

90210: Jen Goes Down!

Posted by Dustin on 12.02.2009 at 8:35 pm

So last night on “90210” we finally saw Liam and his gang take Jen down, and it was oh so good. She went down in a ball of flames in front of Naomi, and Ryan was filled in on her lies as well. However given this is “90210,” once the bitch goes down the bitch usually rises back up to get even. Should we all be skeered? I think so!

Navid woke up in the hospital and it took him the entire episode to remember that he was pushed, and he said he remembered who pushed him as well. So it looks like Jasper’s downfall could be soon as well. However if Jasper goes down, then Annie can’t be too far behind him. She’s been in the safe-zone far too long for her hit and run.

Dixon and Silver finally made up, and Naomi made a long over do call to apologize to Annie at the end of the episode as well.

I didn’t bother to watch “Melrose” and will do that online at some point, or if they run an encore this week.

Heroes: So Long Nathan

Heroes: So Long Nathan

Posted by Dustin on 12.01.2009 at 6:59 pm

Last night’s “Heroes” was the last new episode until January. It was also the last episode with Adrian Pasdar, unless they bring him back in flashbacks at some point.

Peter spent most of the episode trying to beat Sylar out of Sylar and get Nathan back. In the end, Nathan said he was too weak to fight anymore, and he had to let go. Peter is gone and Sylar is back in control of his body.

Claire found her way to the carnival along with her roommate. Samuel showed them around and Claire decided to stay for the rest of her break to see if she felt like it was where she belonged.

Lydia knows that Samuel killed his brother and framed the knife thrower, but because she has a daughter to protect, she’s keeping his secret. Samuel meanwhile sent a multiplier guy after Noah to steal a box of his files. Noah was warming up to his old Primatech partner during this episode as well.

The show left us on somewhat of a cliff hanger with Samuel showing the carnies where he felt they’d finally plant down roots, stop moving, and call their home. He also expected more people with powers to find their way to them (we then saw clips of all the other “Heroes” out there).

I dunno . . . it was a good episode. However knowing it was Adrian/Nathan’s last episode . . . and now with the news that the actor playing Suresh has booked a new show . . . it really looks like the end is in sight for the show. I would rather the show end on a high, and give the fans a real ending then be canceled and end on a cliffhanger.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Sendhil Ramamurthy, who plays Suresh, is joining a new NBC comedy show called “Rex Is Not Your Lawyer.” Right now they are only shooting a pilot, but Jane Curtin is also set to star.

Will he be doing both, is he leaving “Heroes” or does this mean “Heroes” is in its last season?
