Parenthood: Crosby Screwed It All Up!

Last week’s “Parenthood” was just another AMAZING show!

Sarah gave Seth hell when he planned to up and leave for a new show-biz opportunity, which would have meant up and leaving Drew, with whom he had plans. Amber continued to give her dad hell for always failing to be there for her growing up, so she was not yet ready to accept him back. In the end Seth did right by his kids and told them he was leaving, but wanted to stay in touch. Amber seems to have forgiven him, and Drew just clearly wants a dad so much he’ll forgive anything. I am hoping we get to see Seth come back at some point, but I don’t want Sarah back with him! Jason Ritter’s character returns this coming week, so maybe the romance for them will too? Though I guess he has to report back to “The Event” shortly, so I won’t be getting my hopes up. It does look like Sarah’s passion for writing has been revived.

I love love loved the story with Julia and Joel’s little gir Sydney up and deciding she was a vegetarian. The scene with her and her grandparents, where Zeke told her she had to eat one of the two dishes grandma prepared, and she held firm and wouldn’t eat either, that scene was great. She’s such a good little actor and lights up every scene she’s in. Camille and Zeke later lit up the screen too, with sparks of passion as they got it on in the laundry room. Oh my!

Of course Crosby just screwed everything to hell and back in this episode after his fling with Max’s behavior tutor came to light. The tutor, who liked Crosby a lot, had to quit her job. This devastated Christina, as she had made so much progress with Max. Jasmine of course came to apologize to Crosby for her behavior and talk about things . . . . only to learn Crosby slept with someone else. All I could hear when he was talking was Ross from “Friends” screaming “We were on a break!”

The final scene with Adam giving Crosby hell for just screwing up everything, for not only ruining things with Jasmine, the best thing in his life, but also for screwing things for Max . . . wow! I thought Adam was going to clock him. Of course the end when Max heard his father screaming at Crosby about him having Asberger’s sets up this week’s episode when they have to tell Max about his illness. I can’t wait! this has become my favorite show on TV as of late, even if Crosby does make me want to smack myself in my head a lot.
