Brothers and Sisters: Wine and Cake
So “Brothers and Sisters” rocked tonight! Let’s get to it.
The episode revolved around Tommy and Holly’s winery opening. To celebrate, and woo investors, they threw a party. The problem was none of Tommy’s family wanted to go, for various reasons. Sarah because of the Joe-Rebbecca thing, Kitty because of the senator, Justin because nobody else was goin. In the end though, they all attended.
Rebbecca continued to play the little victim in this episode. How long before she’s actually found out? Why isn’t Joe saying anything? Is he TRYING to protect her? Meanwhile her mother Holly moved in on Nora’s new man Marc. I think she not only wanted to get back at Nora for taking in Rebbecca, but hurt Saul. The woman is a viper!
Kitty dodged a trip with the senator this week, and basically took back her marriage proposal to him! Whoa. Later after popping way to many pain pills, thinking they were aspirin, she told Kevin about the proposal. Kevin, who hates the senator, was NOT pleased. He then blabbed to the whole family! I loved Sarah’s response to Nora’s happy reaction . . . “You are welcoming a man Kitty has known for 3 months into the family and are ready to throw my husband of years out.”
Justin and Joe came to a head at the party over the Rebbecca incident. What struck me was that Sarah was angry at Justin as it wasn’t his place to tell Joe to come clean. I think I would have been more angry at my brother for knowing and NOT telling me!
Holly went after Marc, leading to an amazing confrontation between Nora and Holly. Words were said, food was thrown. In the end Nora told Holly she had to let William go. Holly in turn told Nora she did not want Rebbecca living in her house. Oh dear, is this a warning of something more to come with Rebbecca? What else can she do? Thankfully over all of this, Nora found her brain and showed Marc the door. It’s about time she dumped the loser.
The show ended with Julia going into labor far too early. Next week the twins are in danger, one or both could die. I think it might be a Kleenex episode!
I am so glad I found someone else who loves Brothers and Sisters. I thought last weeks eppy was great, I loved the fight between Holly and Nora. I know Rebecca, is going to try and screw with the Walkers. I feel this show should be getting more attention than it does.

I too love Brothers and Sisters. It’s very real; I see some members of my family in the show; finally, a good family drama on tv. Would not miss it and like you, wish the show would get more attention. What can we do to make it happen?

I also loved this episode, and I love Brothers & Sisters in general. It’s my #1 favorite of all the new shows that came out this year. It’s also one of my all time favorite shows of all the shows on TV right now. Dustin, I have been coming to your website for Days Of Our Lives and Passions for several years now, and I am so excited that you add Brothers & Sisters to your line-up of the show that you cover. Even if all you ever do in terms of covering Brothers & Sisters is a weekly thoughts update on the episodes and minor spoilers and news coverage on the show, I’ll be absolutely thrilled. After all, your thoughts update page for Days Of Our Lives and Passion are my favorite pages on both of those sites. Thanks again for adding Brothers & Sisters to your line-up!

This episode was great. Well, it was OK up till the last 10 minutes. I just about died when Holly and Nora had it out. LOVED the food fight! Their situation was bound to come to blows eventually. Couldn’t have been much better payoff than that.
I can see where they’re going to exploit Rebecca’s situation. She came in all sweet and nice, but Holly hinted that she had problems. (Can’t imagine that when your mom lies to you your whole life.) She’s got a drug issue and apparently a problem with lying, herself. I think Joe isn’t telling his side because he’s ashamed that he got into that situation. Plus, who’s going to believe him, anyway?
I do love this show. The acting is great — especially Sarah and Joe. I don’t think they could play their fights any more “real”. I’m not sure this show needs more hype though. Just so long as it gets good writing and stays on the air, I’m happy. Some shows get too much hype and it ruins them.
