The cable channel FX has renewed both the Eddie Izzard and Mini Driver dramedy “The Riches” as well as Courtney Cox’s “Dirt.”

I only watched the pilot for “The Riches” and never got into it. However people say good things about it, so I’ll be getting it on DVD when it comes out. I never watched “Dirt” but have a friend who wouldn’t stop talking about it all year. I’ll be renting that one too this summer.

“Nip/Tuck” and “The Shield” are supposed to be back next season as well, but it may be the final season for both shows.

  1. The Riches is a great show, and Dirt is pretty entertaining as well. Glad they’re coming back.

    As for Nip/Tuck, one of the greatest shows of all time, it was actually picked up for three more seasons a few months ago, and this coming season will be 22 episodes long as opposed to the usual 12-16.

  2. Interesting, as the PRs hinted Nip/Tuck’s future past the next season was unknown lol. The Shield is ending this season, that was made kinda clear.

  3. “Dirt” should come back — that show is wacky dirty train-wreckish. I was surprised that I enjoyed it as much as I did.

    “Nip/Tuck” lost me 2 seasons ago. After the killer storyline I just lost interest. (Although, I could watch Dr. Christian Troy forever….)

    “The Shield” is such a good show, hate to see it go. Also not sure where “Rescue Me” is going to go after this upcoming season. They seem to be drying up on material, and you can only watch a reckless alcoholic for so long before it becomes painful.

  4. I lost interest in Nip/Tuck ths past season. I was planning to get the DVDs and watch them, but it just got so boring.

  5. I love DIRT! That show is so raunchy! (The first episode showed the basketball player gettin fricked in the butt with a dildo by a hooker! Talk about getting your attention! I can’t wait for it to come back on.
    The Riches is allright. I missed a few episodes and kinda got lost but its still good.

    I was amazed that the shows you cover on this site are the same that I watch (ditto on other site), the only one missing was the Ritchies. I hope you enjoy the Season 1 DVD and add it to your line-up
