Ghost Whisperer: RIP Jim

Ghost Whisperer: RIP Jim

I didn’t get around to posting last week’s “Ghost Whisperer” but had to post about this weeks. Both featured their own unique little stand-alone stories. However it was the last 10 minutes of this week’s show that pushed everything forward.

Jim fought with a jilted man, who had a gun. Jim got the gun away from him, but a cop outside fired his gun at the person with the gun, shooting Jim. Jim lived long enough to get to the hospital, where he died with Melinda by his side. He told her he had an embolism.

The previews for next week have Jim as a ghost and Melinda saying if he loves her then he’ll cross over. He responded he wasn’t leaving her, they started this journey together and he intended to continue it. It sounds like she’s pregnant perhaps and he’s sticking around because of that?

All I know right now is I’m really fricken upset! This show won’t be the same and I don’t know if I like that. Maybe they can pull a “Dallas” and this was all a dream Jim is having in the hospital!

  1. I sure hope it’s a dream. Otherwise, we were misled with them saying Jim wasn’t leaving. Having him stay on as a ghost is not the same as his actually being on the show. I don’t know that I’ll watch anymore and I’ve watched since the show first started. Very disappointed right now.

  2. The execs also did a sit down with Ausiello awhile back to address the whole rumor. I remember them saying something a long the lines of you have to keep watching as you don’t know everything just yet. So maybe there is hope this is all in Jim or Melinda’s head.

  3. Maybe its like the movie ghost dad, where he is in a coma and somehow jumped out of his body?

  4. Sadly after reading some interviews with David Conrad (Jim) that came out today/yesterday in various papers . . . it seems he’s really dead. This was a story they’ve wanted to do since the first season and told him as much when the show started, that they planned to kill him off.

  5. Hmm well I hope they are prepared for the reaction they are going to get from everyone, because knowing that now I am done with the show, it’s really a shame it was nice to have a relationship that worked and wasn’t on again off again on tv. Not to mention they already took the best friend away from us, like come on. To me it’s now RIP Ghost Whisperer.

  6. I saw this coming, but I’ll admit that I bawled like a baby when it actually happened. It’s only a tv show, but I’ve invested since the begining in the characters and Mel and Jim’s relationship. It was so nice to see a happy newlywed couple that didn’t have weird drama. I even loved that the past few episodes had Jim and Mel working together to solve the ghost problems. I will continue to watch, but I’m definitely not happy with this. They’d better come up with a really good solution, because losing Jim and Payne in the same season…horrible! Now all we have is Eli…

  7. I enjoy Friday nights, because I get to sit back and watch Jim and Melinda. This is one of my favorite shows and I would be very disappointed if Jim dies. However, great writers from the power of beyond, great stuff last week. It had me crying for a very good while. Haven’t cried about great scene for a very long time. Why to go

  8. GW is the only tv show I watch. TV has never gotten such an emotional reaction from me- I cried, I raged, I literally felt lost. I am going to hang on and hope this is all part of the plan and trust that the writers and producers have the best interest of the show at heart.

  9. I am outraged that the writers did this . These two Jim and Melinda were the happiest couple on earth why cant tv shows show ppl being happy ? why do they always have to show ppl being in arguments and fights ? I hate the fact that they killed Jim off and now this far fetched thing with him jumping into someone elses body . that is just two far fetched . I will keep watching but it really is sad that they had to ruin this beautifull marriage .
