Lipstick Canceled!

Lipstick Canceled!

Posted by Dustin on 11.13.2008 at 12:57 pm

Well this is sad news, but not entirely unexpected. According to Ausiello, TVGuide.com and more . . . NBC has canceled “Lipstick Jungle.” All previously recorded episodes will probably air, but no new ones have been ordered. It’s unknown when the show will last air. “My Own Worst Enemy,” has also been canned.

  2. Honestly, I am not sure what shows NBC is gunna have left soon! Heroes will for sure go through this year and they’ll probably even give it another season. Medium is still strong for them too.

But, um, 8 million Law and Order shows? For some unknown reason the one new show they gave a whole season to was Knight Rider (oh and Kath and Kim, which I never did try).

  5. As someone mentioned, how in the blue hell did Knight Rider get a full pickup but they cancel Lipstick and Own

On a side note, isn’t nbc the mastermind behind the now forgotten Bionic Woman? That would mean that what two years running now their biggest hype has been canned before the season is even over?

They’re doing fantasticly. I assume people will be fired soon.

  6. They didn’t really give My Own Worst Enemy a chance to do anything!

  7. Yeah. I really liked My Own Worst Enemy. I think that the problem that existed in it is that it was a show you had to watch you couldnt half watch it and have it make any sense. And what was triggering the changes never quiet made sense….

As for Lipstick, I had this bad feeling it was going to go even last season though I loved it then. I think it needed more testorone…. Now I cannot watch Paul ….

  8. They just don’t give shows a chance nowadays. They really need to look at shows like The Match Game (back in the 70s AND a game show I know…) It was about to be cancelled, then they turned it around. Could easily happen with these shows… Stupid ratings…

  9. Part of the problem is still the fact that alot of people arn’t actually home. I adore NCIS and CSI Miami [Even David C] but I work on those nights and don’t have the ability to watch them as they air. So I end up using On Demand.

I heard they’ve slowly started to look at things like that. Such as the repeat, TIVO, On Demand. But, It’s clearly not working to well.

But hey we get Knight Rider…right? *shivers* I doubt Sci Fi, would even air that crap.

  10. Do you think Lipstick has a chance of being picked up by a different network, NBC or CW or something?

  11. I like lipstck, but love starter wife on usa. lipstick lost me when it moved to friday. I hope they will give it a good ending and not just cut the strings and leave us hanging with unfinished stories.

  12. I agree about Worst Enemy. It is an exciting show and I really enjoy Christian Slater. And yall are right, what will NBC have left? I love Chuck, but honestly haven’t been able to get back into Heroes. Life is good, but the guy acts like he’s been in a coma for 50 years, not in prison for, what, 20 years??

For the last couple of years, all my favorite shows have been on USA – Burn Notice, Psyce, Monk, Starter Wife, Women’s Murder Club, and reruns of House. I also can’t believe Women’s Murder Club was cancelled so quickly.
