Ugly Betty: Punched In The Gut By Love

Ugly Betty: Punched In The Gut By Love

In the latest episode of “Ugly Betty,” Willy became upset as Connor seemed distracted, preoccupied. He was obsessing over who Molly was dating, but he wasn’t telling Willy that is what was bothering him.

Meanwhile Daniel and Molly realized they had to tell Conner before he found out from someone else. Before they could, Willy learned what was bothering Conner. I was shocked though that she didn’t out Daniel to Conner, which I expected her to. Maybe she really has changed?

Conner figured out it was Daniel all on his own, thanks to Molly’s silly nickname for Daniel R.J., which stood for “Rich Jerk.” He punched Daniel hard, but seemed to accept it and move on. Or has he? I can’t help but worry something huge is coming, he’s going to sink “Mode” or something.

The really sad part of this episode was Betty moving back home to help with her father, but you could tell that she really didn’t want to. To add insult to injury, as she was set to move home, her neighbor Jesse suddenly took an interest in her. Of course when all was said and done, they turned Jesse into a self-absorbed bore that Betty couldn’t wait to run out on while she was on a date with him.

Marc of course ended up taking over Betty’s part of the rent and moved in with Amanda. Marc and Amanda again were the best part of the episode as they helped Betty decide if Jesse liked her or not. However when they pretended to be Marc and Betty and kissed, it was awkward. I think Amanda needs a man and stat!

Back at home, Ignacio and his nurse butted heads over his diet and taking care of himself. Of course he wanted to cook like he used to, which he can’t. How long before he and the nurse kiss? I can’t believe it didn’t happen in this episode!
