Heroes: Rebel Rebel!

Heroes: Rebel Rebel!

So last night on “Heroes,” Daphne and Ando teamed up to track down the heroes, whose plane crashed somewhere near Arizona according to the GPS tracker in Hiro. One of the best lines of the show came from Daphne when Ando told her that he and Hiro had GPS trackers in them, so he knew where to find them. She simply said “Of course you do . . . . ” Loved it!

At the crash site, Nathan’s Hunter was getting way out of hand with his task of apprehending the fugitives. Daphne was shot in the process . . . . No . . . . .! Fear not, she apparently is alive and captive somewhere. Shocker I know, like we didn’t see that coming when they just left her there “dying.”

Tracy and Peter tried to trick Nathan and catch him, setting a trap using Peter. Nathan of course didn’t come alone, as he claimed he would. They trusted him why? Peter flew off, leaving Tracy at Nathan’s mercy. Nathan had her captured, and from previews, it looks like tortured! I cannot wait until “The Hunter” learns Nathan has powers and turns on him. Fortunately even his mother has left him to his own devices, realizing he’s gotten too “Arthur” like.

After the shootout with The Hunter’s men, Hiro, Ando, Matt and Suresh were forced to flee. Matt drew some drawings and they examined them. Matt wanted revenge, but Surresh told him that wasn’t how they operated. He also suggested Hiro flee, without his powers they might let him go. However
Hiro saw something in Matt’s drawing that gave him hope, he had his sword back and possibly his powers? He decided he still had a quest.

Claire meanwhile was captured and sent back home by Nathan, once again given her free pass. Faced with uncertainty, Claire ended up getting a text message from some guy named “Rebel” who claimed she could still fight and not to give up. So it seems Claire has either a secret admirer, a secret rebel friend, or probably both. I’m smelling a new love interest for Claire!

Meanwhile Sylar was still looking for his father and ended up at the place of a woman and her son (I think his name was Luke?). He of course had powers, and no father. Hmmmm. Sylar’s father apparently last lived a few doors down from them. Hmmmmm. Sylar and the kid seemed to understand each other. Both had been abandoned by their dad’s. Both left with a mother who didn’t like or understand them. Both with sever rage issues. Long story short, the kid (after killing an agent with his powers when he was going to shoot Sylar) fled with Sylar. Sylar brought him along only because the kid claimed he could take him to his father. How much to we wanna bet these two are brothers?

What I’m really enjoying about this new chapter of “Heroes” is that it’s not as complicated as the past ones. They’ve streamlined the amount of stories going on. There aren’t 8 billion different things going on in 8 billion locations. They’ve got the writing tight and it shows. I hope they keep it up.

  1. I’m so bummed Peter can only have one power at a time now. I hope that changes soon.

  2. I enjoyed this last episode and I dunno, it’s probably because i love Sylar so much but I don’t mind Luke. I kind of like the pair of them. I to think they might be brothers and their scenes oddly had me smirking the most, like Sylars line about not killing him being a big deal for him. I think I just have weird humor.

Was the Daph thing in spoilers? Or did I totally space and miss something in eppy about it?

I don’t know if its always been like this or I just noticed it. But the whole Dirty Harry whisper Clarie as going needs to stop. I’ve seen other movies with her, she doesn’t talk like that.

🙁 and I knew Noah’s reason for helping was going to be that it saved Clarie, blah I’m tried of good Noah bad Noah.

  3. There is a spoiler that Matt goes to save Daphne. She’s also in at least one other episode before that. Basically sounds like she’s being held somewhere until the show decides if they want to keep her around.

  4. Thanks Dustin, I haven’t peeked at any spoilers and so Missed that, but I should have seen it coming after the way Matt went hot and cold about her death. So angry that he makes the dude kill everyone else and then suddenly is stoic and just chilling.

I know its only been two episodes but I’m enjoying this volume.

  5. I too liked the last HEROES episode. I like when they work together in scenes instead of being all over the place. I am soooo glad Daphne is not dead. I like her. I hope this 2nd part of the season keeps up.

Oh, and I love Sylar too, he is so EVIL!!! Can’t believe I like a bad character. Oh, and I remember Luke. He played a geek on “A Cinderella Story” with Hiliary Duff.

  6. I have a hunch that the rebel may be nathan… It HAS to be someone on the inside of the government’s organization… But who??? Any other ideas? Cause my theory about nathan isn’t really that solid, maybe there will be a new hero soon 🙂

  7. Eric Doyle died, so Rebel might have an ability to raise people from dead, or just summoning spirits, or something like that. And no, Eric Doyle ain’t only one who came from dead with message. And how would know that Hiro and Ando went to India before they even were there. I think we’re going to see a new face, or someone closer than we’d expect. IMO Rebel can absord abilities someway, because he have somekind of summon/dead rise thing, or just rabid cell generation, and he have healed the Spain soldier from 1700’s and Doyle. And he also can do those things with computer as Micah, and he knows alot about what’s going to happen next, like somekind of future see thing? I would have bet Rachel Mills because he have a teleportation ability, and he’s inside that hunting program, but his ability ain’t enough to explain many things. I hope they make something unexpected to us, i’m starving to see Rebel.

  8. Sylar has too many mommy and daddy issues it makes me wanna cry lol. Anyways I know this part of the season is going to be the best because the OLD writers are back! The ones who did season 1!!! And season 1 was amazing!!!!!!!!

  9. I may be missing something, but couldn’t Rebel very well be Micah?
With his hacking abilities he could he see with any security camera and contact any other ‘hero’ he wanted all from some safe location?

  10. Interesting theory. I just can’t figure out why anyone would want to help the puppet master, including Micah.

  11. Because they need to keep themselves together, villains and good guys. And i don’t think it’s Micah, but if he is, he have someone else than only him doing those things. Micah cannot see future, or create illusions or w/e was that Simon Bolliwan(ostw).

  12. I think Rebel is Micah. He can control any electronic device. Remember that he is a genius…not only on TV but in real life too. He can hack into all computers, see all surveilance footage that the hunters see, see whose flying to what country because of computer reservations….I think that Rebel is Micah. I also believe that Luke is Sylar’s brother from another mother too!
