Big Brother: Tape Delayed And Chimagate

Big Brother: Tape Delayed And Chimagate

Posted by Dustin on 08.16.2009 at 9:16 pm

First off, “Big Brother” was delayed tonight thanks to golf and then “60 Minutes” going over. I am taping it, but had to turn it off for “True Blood.” Grrrr!

We learned that the eviction last week apparently wasn’t live after all. That, or they were showing bits of info we just didn’t see (IE during commercials or when Julie was talking).

Chima of course was fuming at Jeff, while Nat was calling him a liar and going back on his word to vote Russell out. Jeff said he didn’t vote, so he didn’t lie! He explained that Jessie and Nat were skating to the final two, none of them would get that money or had a shot, he now at least made it possible for everyone in the house. He also ranted that “their side” was just angry because they’ve lost control of the house and finally know what it’s like to see a friend walk out the door.

With Michelle as HOH, nobody knew what she’d do. Russell knew she had to kiss some ass, while Chima was determined to get Michelle to put Russell up cause it was what she wanted.

Jessie’s widows had a going away party for him, drinking and crying. As Jordon put it, it’s okay when they vote one of their side out, but not the other way around. Jeff and Russell didn’t get them, they acted like Jessie was a saint and that he’s dead.

I wish I had Jessie's Girl!

Kevin, in his diary session, said “O M G these girls are acting like Jessie got hit like a mack truck.” He said Jessie wronged them all, putting Chima on the block, voting against Lydia when she was up, and he was pissed that Kevin didn’t vote Natalie out over him! He didn’t understand how quickly these girls forgot all that.

Kevin Can't Stand It

Michelle revealed to Russell, Jordan and Jeff her target was Chima, that Chima had to go.

The “Have Have Not” game was played, in which they all worked together to win food and other stuff for the house for the week. They were put into teams of two for the game and had to taste test things and make matches of two of several casseroles. It appeared that whatever was won, was what they got to eat that day. Poor sport Chima seemed to slow the game down for everyone. After 10 minutes they had to see if they matched up everything. They won food for everyday but Monday, and they got a BBQ grill as well as no cold showers. They didn’t win a steak and lobster dinner though.

I had to turn the show off at this point for “True Blood,” but it is recording. From what I was told, we saw Michelle put up Chima and Nat, and Tuesday is Chima’s big meltdown and escort out of the house.

Post Note: I finally finished the show. Natalie basically said exactly what Jeff said . . . she hasn’t had to feel unsafe until this very moment . . . cause she had Jessie protecting her!

Poor Chima

Big Brother tells us to tune in Tuesday when one contestant self destructs and is removed from the game. Hmmm who could it be 🙂

Double Post Note: Some extra feed caps I grabbed so you can see some of Jessie’s Widows new hairdos. I certainly hope Lydia is still working on Nat’s hair, cause friends don’t do that to other friend’s hair! Then again, they are fighting over Mr. Pectacular.

A Quiet, But Boring, Big Brother Day

A Quiet, But Boring, Big Brother Day

First up, a bit more on “Chimagate.” The Examiner spoke to Chima, who insists she was not evicted from the show, but left on her own, and the producers want people to think they kicked her off.

Tonight’s show is said to address “Chimagate” as the promos people have seen are calling it “the most explosive moment in Big Brother history!”

Now for some meager spoilers, read on . . .

The House Has Been Turned Upside Down! A New HOH Comp To Be Held Immediatly!

The House Has Been Turned Upside Down! A New HOH Comp To Be Held Immediatly!

Posted by Dustin on 08.15.2009 at 4:31 pm

This post is filled with spoilers, but there is no way to not talk about this openly. Sunday’s show, which should have been Michelle’s nominations, is going to have to be scrapped to air a new HOH competition most likely.

Why you ask?

Michelle placed Chima and Natalie on the block as her noms, and Chima lost it. She disrupted the house, caused major drama and then in the middle of the night quit the show. Chima is gone, left the building.

Today was to be the veto competition, but because of what Chima did, the game has been changed. Michelle has been informed that instead a new HOH competition is to be held. So Chima, in her feeling she had been shafted as HOH, shafted Michelle in turn.

We will have a new HOH by the end of the evening folks.

“Big Brother” . . . . expect the unexpected!

*Update* The “official word” from CBS . . .

CBS Statement Regarding Chima on Big Brother:

“Chima has been evicted by the producers from the Big Brother house for violating the rules. She will not be part of the show’s jury. Her eviction will be addressed on an upcoming broadcast of the show.”

*Update 2* Below the fold is the new HOH, and the new HOH’s noms . . .

Big Brother 11: Eviction Night With The Wizard!

Big Brother 11: Eviction Night With The Wizard!

Posted by Dustin on 08.13.2009 at 8:53 pm

The stage was set, as was the hype, as the feeds for “Big Brother” have been down all day long. Rumors swirled that they were taping the show early, because they worried Chima might go off the handle on the live show. However when the show began, it was live!

As always, the show began with a bit of a recap of the past week and Kevin deciding not to use the veto to save Lydia.

Russell decided to fight for some votes and get in peoples heads. He was trying to get Jeff and Jordon’s vote, and also tried to get Jessie. Jessie however was a sour-puss because Russell didn’t pick him to play in the veto (which had he won, would make him safe). He also tried to get Michelle on his side. However Jessie went in and confronted him, and they ended up getting into a fight. Jessie told Michelle not to let Russell fill him full of sunshine after he was calling her nuts and psycho last week.

Everyone was still trying to figure out who had the mystery power and what they’d do with it. Natalie and Jessie realized Jeff or Jordan had the power, so they planned to spend the day with them outside hanging out (rather than sleeping which is all they do).

Chima talked about how if Jeff has the power, and he uses it, and Russell stays . . . she will go postal and it will create drama directed right at him.

We went live to the living room where everyone was waiting. Julie of course asked various questions. She said they had all made it to the half-way point. She says people who leave from now on will be a member of the jury of 7 who will crown the winner.

We got to meet Chima’s family and friends and see how they think of her actions. Her grandparents felt she was too personal and ugly and should be a little more civil with people!

Julie talked with Chima before the live vote, and then went to the houseguests and gave Jeff the chance to use the power of Coup D’Etat. Julie asked the guest with the power to stand if they wanted to use it . . . . and Jeff stood!

Julie explained to everyone what the power was, and how Chima and Kevin were the only ones who could not be put on the block. Jeff and Chima would both get to compete in the HOH competition later as well. Jeff took Lydia off and put Natalie up. Then he took Russell of and put up Jessie!

Jeff says he knows they are upset, but this is a game and they run this house, so feel the pain and enjoy.

Jeff and Chima were not allowed to vote, and Natalie and Jessie were allowed to plead their case to the house to keep them.

The live vote began . . .

Lydia and Russell voted Natalie out.
Jordan, Kevin and Michelle voted to evict Jessie.

Jessie goes home thanks to America once again! Julie then gave them the news, and Jessie took the walk of shame out the door.

Lydia was in tears, Chima said “America did it to him again.” Chima was furious when Russell said something about “he kept his word.” She said she and the producers had to have a little talk then (as she thinks Jeff told Russell and thus cheated).

Julie called Jessie out on sleeping all the time and not playing harder to stay. Jessie was sent to the jury house, the first one.

The HOH comp was played, which was a trivia comp based on all the competitions played so far. Michelle became the new HOH!

Who do you think Michelle will put on the block? Natalie is a safe bet, as the two really don’t like one another. Russell could easily be the other one given their bad history.

Next week will be the DOUBLE EVICTION!

Heroes Redemption: First Look from NBC

Heroes Redemption: First Look from NBC

Posted by Dustin on 08.12.2009 at 7:32 pm

From creator/writer Tim Kring (“Crossing Jordan”) comes the award-winning “Heroes,” an epic drama that chronicles the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities.

On September 21, “Heroes” returns with its fourth season and a brand-new volume – “Redemption.” As the dust settles from last season, our heroes attempt to settle back into their ordinary lives. But, as they will quickly discover, it’s not easy to go home again. They will face one pressing question: how do extraordinary people lead ordinary lives?

Previously, in “Volume 4: Fugitives,” our heroes made an attempt to return to their normal lives – but that attempt was cut short when Claire Bennet (Hayden Panettiere) uncovered a deadly plot orchestrated by one of their own – Senator Nathan Petrelli (Adrian Pasdar). After revealing to the government that there were people with special abilities, Nathan spearheaded an initiative to capture and imprison those people and used Noah Bennet a.k.a. H.R.G. (Jack Coleman). Lives were torn apart. H.R.G.’s own marriage was destroyed. Tracy Strauss (Ali Larter) was killed — literally shattered into frozen pieces.

Ultimately, it was Nathan who paid the price for his misdeeds – murdered at the hands of Sylar (Zachary Quinto). Angela Petrelli (Cristine Rose), devastated at the loss of her son, and H.R.G., in need of an ally within the government, convinced Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg) to use his ability to repair the damage. Matt used mind control and forced Sylar to shapeshift into Nathan, while erasing Sylar’s own memories so he truly believed he was Nathan. Now, as far as everyone else knows, Nathan is alive and well. And Sylar is gone. But all of that is about to change…

This season, “Volume 5: Redemption” begins with our heroes putting their lives back together.

Claire is finding that her biggest challenges are forgetting her old life and starting college. How does someone who has led such an extraordinary life assimilate back into everyday college life? Any semblance of normalcy is shortly overturned when Claire’s roommate commits suicide and Claire discovers her new friend, Gretchen (guest star Madeline Zima), is hiding a secret herself.

Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) goes back to his old life in Japan, but discovers that he has a terminal illness. When Hiro can no longer keep his illness hidden, he sets out to fulfill his own personal bucket-list – righting the mistakes of his past. But will Hiro be able to correct the errors of his ways without severely altering the past and present?

Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia) returns to work as an ordinary New York City EMT, but he uses his abilities to save lives. Peter has become obsessed, looking for redemption and shutting out the rest of the world he once knew. How can he forget the past and begin anew? Peter’s life will quickly change when a hearing impaired woman, Emma (guest star Deanne Bray), enters his life. Emma has used her disability as an excuse to shut herself off from the world. But as a new and unique ability manifests, the shell she’s built around herself will begin to crack apart – as will Peter’s.

H.R.G. is adjusting to life as a single man. Charged with creating a new company, he is rapidly discovering that he needs more from his life. But how does a company man become ordinary? And, when Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) returns and offers H.R.G. compelling evidence of a new danger, it makes H.R.G. wonder if he should get back in the game.

Tracy Strauss, having risen from the dead, is consumed with seeking vengeance, but soon realizes that she has a real opportunity to reinvent herself. The question is: who should she be?

Nathan Petrelli, not realizing who he really is, returns to the Senate and begins to notice strange changes in himself. Most alarming, Nathan discovers that he has new abilities. These changes are not lost on Angela, who recognizes them for what they truly are – the emergence of Sylar.

Meanwhile, racked by the guilt of what he did to Sylar and Nathan, Matt Parkman returns to life as an ordinary family man. All he wants to do is to raise his son, love his wife and return to a fulfilling career as an LAPD detective. But what Matt doesn’t know is that something unfamiliar is buried deep within his psyche – Matt can see and hear Sylar. And this specter will haunt him until Sylar is returned to his body.

The biggest challenge for our heroes is a strange and dangerous carnival comprised of a traveling band of outsiders with powerful abilities, led by a charismatic and powerful leader, Samuel (Robert Knepper). Alongside Samuel is his right hand man, Edgar (guest star Ray Park), a deadly Speedster with a talent for knives, and Lydia (guest star Dawn Olivieri) the Tattooed Lady.

Samuel leads his flock to intersect with the lives of all of our heroes. He will find them, and he will entice them to join him. And together, they will ask the same basic questions: Who are we? What does having powers mean to the world? How should we live our lives – shameful or proud? Should we hide or live out in the open? And if the world of powers is revealed, how will the world ever recover?

In 2009, “Heroes” has been honored with: a People’s Choice Award for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show, a Teen Choice Award for Choice Action-Adventure Television Show, and a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series. Among its honors in past seasons, “Heroes” has garnered a People’s Choice Award, an AFI Award, a Multicultural Prism Award, a TV Land Future Classic Award, the Television Critics Association Awards’ Outstanding Program of the Year, the International Prize at the BAFTA Television Awards, and Choice TV Show Action Adventure at the Teen Choice Awards. It has also garnered nominations at the Primetime Emmy, Golden Globe, NAACP Image, WGA and Satellite Awards.

“Heroes” is produced by Universal Media Studios in association with Tailwind Productions. Kring, Dennis Hammer, Adam Armus, Kay Foster and Jim Chory serve as executive producers.

Ernie Hudson Joins Heroes (And Other Tidbits)

Ernie Hudson Joins Heroes (And Other Tidbits)

Posted by Dustin on 08.12.2009 at 2:43 pm

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Ernie Hudson (“Oz” and “Ghostbusters” fame) will join “Heroes” in the recurring role of a Baltimore detective named Captain Lubbock. Lubbock is on the hunt for one of the main characters. My guess would be Sylar.

Other recent spoiler bits to come out (Via SciFiWire) include the fact that Hiro and Ando will be back in Japan at Hiro’s family company when the season starts working on a new side business. Sadly Hiro is said to be dying this season, and will be doing a lot of time traveling as well.

Claire’s gone to college and meets two new friends. Madeline Zima becomes her new BFF, who learns of Claire’s powers; while Rachel Melvin apparently wants to be “more than just friends” with the Cheerleader.
