Private Practice: The Return Of Katie!

The latest episode of “Private Practice” really irked me a lot. We saw the return of Violet’s attacker Katie, who was suing Violet over her book for breaching her confidentiality. Even though Violet used pseudonyms, the public trial made Katie recognizable. She cried and whined that she was trying to start over, but Violet’s book wasn’t letting her . . . .

Boo hoo, cry me a river! Frankly I don’t think Katie is really recovered is Violet’s book is what is holding her back from moving on. She did a horrible thing, she can’t erase it, she can’t forget it and she can’t hide it from people. While she did drop the suit, the medical board is now investigating Violet for breaching her oath and man suspend her license. Now we don’t know what’s in this book, but again come on! Every shrink’s book out there uses pseudonyms to talk about patient cases. Frankly when a patient crosses the line like Katie did, I don’t think those laws to protect her and not the victim should exist! Hopefully Violet didn’t say anything that wasn’t already public record because of the trial, because then she didn’t breach anything.

Cooper went to see Charlotte’s ex-husband Billy as their wedding approached and learned what really happened to break up their marriage. He cheated, or tried to cheat, but not to hurt Charlotte. Turns out her ex is gay and at the time was trying to see if the problem was him or Charlotte, so to speak.

Finally Sam and Addison and the baby drama continued. Yet another pregnant and at-risk patient made Addison’s lady parts yearn even more for a child, while Sam continued to not want another kid. Sam irked me, mainly because he knew from the get go that Addison wanted a baby, so he’s acting like this is a shock and she should get over it. He can’t believe she’d dump him over this issue.

  1. Sam also irked me because he was acting more like the OB and telling Addison what could go wrong with delivering the baby early. I was really hoping that Addison would have told him, um I am a world renowned OB surgeon (whatever it is she is) and know more about the complications than you do.
