Housewives: Poisoning Paul!
Posted by Dustin on 05.07.2011 at 6:57 pm
So it’s about a week late, but here are my thoughts on last week’s “Desperate Housewives.” I have to admit I feel like the show has been a little boring as of late. Once Beth was killed, it seems like they lost a little “oomph.” I’m hoping these last few episodes of the season will bring it!
Most of this episode was about Felecia setting up Susan to poison Paul. Susan was cooking him food, Felecia kept slipping poison in. Next week Susan is under house arrest as the main suspect. I am guessing at some point she’ll serve herself or MJ some of the tainted food, which will prove her innocent. Honestly I don’t really care too much about Paul, so this storyline is a dud for me. Let’s just kill him and be done with it!
Gabby moved in with Bree, which put her at odds with Carlos. This storyline too annoyed me. I know I should feel bad for Carlos, but I really don’t. He treats Gabby like property still, which annoys me. In the end though Bree sent Gabby back to Carlos, forcing her to choose her husband (which is what he wanted all along).
The final story had Lynette and Renee decorating Tom’s office. He wanted it done Donald Trump style. Lynette wanted to do it her way, but Renee made sure Tom got what he wanted. In the end it really all came down to a “member size contest” between Tom and the younger guys in the firm who were out for him and his job. Zzzzzzz, Tom is actually making me feel bad for Lynette . . . a hard thing to do!
Grey’s and Private Practice: The Wedding Episodes!
Posted by Dustin on 05.06.2011 at 9:04 pm
On “Grey’s” we had Callie and Arizona’s wedding going on, while many other things happened as well.
Derek and Meredith got all gushy over one of the orphans that Alex organized to come over, and as I guessed last week, they finally got legally married in order to adopt him. They simply went down to the courthouse and did it with no fuss. Meanwhile Callie and Arizona got married with all the fuss and the family drama.
Callie’s mother refused to be a part of the wedding, even telling her daughter she was going to hell and that was breaking her heart because she’d never see her again in the glorious kingdom of heaven. WOW! Meanwhile it was her father, who had always been the one who wasn’t accepting of Callie’s relationship, that was there for her. That at least made me happy, that he chose to be at the wedding and dance with his daughter.
Meanwhile Arizona was torn up over the fact that her brother was not there, because he was dead. I guess I missed this backstory somewhere along the way?
Alex was way ahead in the race for Chief Resident, while Yang was basically scrubbing Teddy’s bedpans. She tried to apologize, but Teddy kept saying “She didn’t get it.” When she went off on her, rightly so, Teddy still said she didn’t get it. What the hell does she want? Right now I want her off the show . . . she’s really annoying me. She better have some reason that makes us go “Ahhh, yup she’s right!” Cause otherwise, she’s just being a nasty #@%@$%!
Finally we saw a spark of goodness in Stark, who recommended April to Owen as Chief Resident . . . even though he was still basically being kinda nasty to her during the show. I did like that scene a lot.
Over on “Private Practice” it was Cooper and Charlotte’s wedding, which had its own drama. There were the families, neither who wanted the wedding to happen. Then there was the ongoing investigation into Violet, which ended up sucking the whole practice into the drama. The whole place is now being investigated for breaching patient confidentiality with all their sharing and consulting.
Okay back the TV show truck up, because every medical show on TV would have to be indicted as the doctors all talk about each others cases!
But anyways, the whole show really irked me. Treating Violet like the criminal and not Katie annoyed me. The practice beginning to turn on her pissed me off too. My guess is the Benjamin Bratt character showing up next week is someone appointed to watch over them all for a period?
The only thing I loved was Charlotte and Cooper ditching their wedding and going to Vegas to marry.

I have to say, while I liked the storylines in the latest “Glee” episode, I was not a fan of a lot of the music. Don’t get me wrong, I love Fleetwood Mac . . . however the “Rumors” album was a bit before my time, and I didn’t know a lot of the songs off it they sang. I feel like a “Fleetwood” episode would have been better, featuring the most popular songs by them, with some of their 80s and 90s stuff thrown in.
The storyline with Sam I thought was really well done, and timely given the economy. Everyone thinking he was seeing Kurt on the sly was hilarious.
The “Fondue For 2” storyline of course was great. I’m really loving the Santana struggling with her lesbianism storyline. Next week is the prom episode which an extra totally spoiled. The drama will be brought!
I love the strides that Emma has been making with her OCD. We may finally get her and Will together by the end of this season . . . . though I still worry Teri is pregnant from that slip Will had awhile back.
Army Wives Renewed For Season 6!

The news broke today that Lifetime has renewed Army Wives for a 13 episode Season 6!
Army Wives: Cheatin’ Spouses!

“Army Wives” has been a little slow lately for me. Hopefully the upcoming return of the men, I.E. Michael and Trevor, things will pick up a little.
Oh *Spoiler Alert!* It looks like Tonya Gabrielle will be returning before the season ends. Can we assume she’s pregnant?
Anyways, in this episode Roxy and Pamela went head to head over Whit’s increased involvement in Roxy and the boys life. Pamela felt Roxy was feeling confused with Trevor gone and with the problems over the truck stop, and Whit’s presence was making it worse for her. She convinced Whit to leave, which infuriated Roxy.
I gotta say, I’m annoyed with how Trevor is acting, and I am liking Whit a lot. I hope he sticks around, no matter how complicated it makes things. Oh and Trevor may be a soldier, but he is scrawny compared to Whit . . . so if he tries to pick a fight . . . Things could get really ugly!
Claudia Joy finally got two pieces of good news in her life in this show. She doesn’t have cancer and Michael is coming home. Of course if comes on the heels of Grant Chandler laying a big smooch on her at the office. Oh dear!
The other story in this episode dealt with Joan learning to get pregnant again could be high risk, so she and Roland finally decided to adopt.

Private Practice: The Return Of Katie!
Posted by Dustin on 05.02.2011 at 2:26 pm
The latest episode of “Private Practice” really irked me a lot. We saw the return of Violet’s attacker Katie, who was suing Violet over her book for breaching her confidentiality. Even though Violet used pseudonyms, the public trial made Katie recognizable. She cried and whined that she was trying to start over, but Violet’s book wasn’t letting her . . . .
Boo hoo, cry me a river! Frankly I don’t think Katie is really recovered is Violet’s book is what is holding her back from moving on. She did a horrible thing, she can’t erase it, she can’t forget it and she can’t hide it from people. While she did drop the suit, the medical board is now investigating Violet for breaching her oath and man suspend her license. Now we don’t know what’s in this book, but again come on! Every shrink’s book out there uses pseudonyms to talk about patient cases. Frankly when a patient crosses the line like Katie did, I don’t think those laws to protect her and not the victim should exist! Hopefully Violet didn’t say anything that wasn’t already public record because of the trial, because then she didn’t breach anything.
Cooper went to see Charlotte’s ex-husband Billy as their wedding approached and learned what really happened to break up their marriage. He cheated, or tried to cheat, but not to hurt Charlotte. Turns out her ex is gay and at the time was trying to see if the problem was him or Charlotte, so to speak.
Finally Sam and Addison and the baby drama continued. Yet another pregnant and at-risk patient made Addison’s lady parts yearn even more for a child, while Sam continued to not want another kid. Sam irked me, mainly because he knew from the get go that Addison wanted a baby, so he’s acting like this is a shock and she should get over it. He can’t believe she’d dump him over this issue.
