Once Upon A Time: Strange Love!

Once Upon A Time: Strange Love!

The latest episode of “Once Upon A Time” (7:15 is the real title) was not one my favorites. It seemed like another filer episode to stretch out the season. These types of episodes are common, I just wish they’d find a way to do them that aren’t always focused on Charming and Snow some times. The Jimminy Cricket one, for example, I liked.

In the real world Mary Margaret and David tried, and failed, to fight their love for one another. He wanted to try marriage counseling with his wife, Mary Margaret mistakingly thought his wife was pregnant. In the end, they couldn’t fight their attraction and were seen by Regina making out in the middle of the street right in front of Granny’s Diner. Yeah she was not happy. Something tells me the closer they get, the more they’ll remember, and the more Storybrooke will unravel. Regina better find a way to get his wife pregnant stat! I did chuckle when Mary Margaret told David that his wife might be pregnant and he was shocked. He stated he can’t believe it and that he didn’t even know they were trying . . . . Wouldn’t he know if he was doing something that might lead to a baby 🙂

In the fairytale world the same story played out, Snow and Charming’s love problems, prior to Charming’s wedding. Charming vowed not to marry Midas’ daughter Abigail if Snow wanted him to back out and be with her. However the king vowed to kill Charming if Snow did not break it off with him. She ended up doing so, and shacking up with the dwarves. She also took a potion from Rumple that made her forget her love for Charming . . . and of course she did this right as Charming ditched his wedding and came to find her (because of advice from Red Riding Hood). I did enjoy seeing how she ended up with the dwarves. Also the 8th dwarf Stealthy, who died early on . . . that was an interesting twist! In the original fairy tale the dwarves never had names mind you. I also liked seeing more of Red in the Fairytale world.

The story I wanted to see was the one barely touched. Emma questioned the stranger, who Regina said was far to interested in Henry. Or is he interested in her? He was stalking their house. The stranger turns out to be a writer, who came to town with his very ancient looking typewriter looking for inspiration . . . . I can’t help but wonder if he has some connection to the book of fairytales? Nobody ends up in Storybrooke by chance, there is a reason they are there.

Catching Up With The Docs of Grey’s and Private Practice!

Catching Up With The Docs of Grey’s and Private Practice!

Just some quick thoughts on the last few episodes of both shows . . . . I’m all caught up with vacation viewings finally! A lot went down, and I’m trying to remember things to comment on actually.

I love that Derek and Meredith are happy again and have Zola. Now isn’t it about time Derek finally finishes that dang house he’s been building for years?

I hate watching everyone in Mark’s life take such a liking to his new girlfriend, mainly because we know it won’t end well. He himself told Callie and Arizona to back off a bit, he wanted to take things slow so he didn’t ruin things like he always does. But I have a feeling he’s still hung up a bit on Lexie, who is still very hung up on him.

Watching Teddy grill yang over and over again about Henry’s death was heart breaking. I was so afraid that she was never going to forgive Christina. However it seems both Teddy and Christina have directed their anger at Owen . . . .

Christina and Owen’s huge fight at the end of the last episode was explosive to say the least. And in front of all their friends too at Zola’s party. I figured the abortion wouldn’t just be swept under the rug, and Owen exploded about it and how Christina always does what Christina wants, and that this was not the life he thought he was signing up for . . . Ouch!

Over to “Private Practice,” this week’s episode was just chocked full of horror as the couple Violet met at the beginning of the season returned, with the husband having beaten the wife until she lost her unborn child. Violet invited her to recuperate at her house, which lead to the husband breaking in, knocking Violet out . . . only for her to wake up and find the wife stabbing the husband over and over . . . I think it’s time for Violet to find a new house at this point as the blood stains are never going to come out of her floors!

As I felt would happen, Charlotte and Cooper are going to become full time parents to Mason sooner than later, as his mom has a brain tumor and limited time left.

Sam and Pete were moving on and playing the field, but neither seemed to happy with the idea of Violet and Addison moving on as well. Grrrrr! What is with the men on this show? Next week, from the previews, looks to be another infuriating episode involving Pete.

Addison, with Jake’s help, is searching for a surrogate for her baby. I liked that Amelia offered to carry it, but clearly with her just out of recovery that’s not a great idea. Addison knew as much as well. I guess Jake’s helping Addison is going to lead to their inevitable romance . . . . at least he’s not Sam! I am so glad they are over, and I really hope the show doesn’t put them back together again. Have they gotten the memo that those two just don’t make a good couple?

Katherine Heigl Wants Back On Grey’s?

Katherine Heigl Wants Back On Grey’s?

Posted by Dustin on 01.19.2012 at 8:23 pm

According to a news story on MSNBC, Katherine Heigl has hinted that she’d totally go back to “Grey’s Anatomy” if asked. In fact, it seems she’s already made the first move and asked to come back!

Woah, who didn’t see that one coming? Her movie career hasn’t exactly taken off, so I’m not shocked. I actually wouldn’t mind her returning, I know others loathed her character and were glad to see her go. Who knows what bridges she burned behind the scenes though.

Reality Roundup January 2012

Reality Roundup January 2012

Just a quick post on some shows I’ve started watching (again) but don’t often think to regularly blog about.

SyFy’s special effects show “Face Off” is back, hosted by McKenzie Westmore of “Passions” fame. This show really is a guilty pleasure. It’s “Project Runway” meets sci-fi/horror make-up. I love it, though I often don’t agree with who they send home each week. The show just started back up, you can catch it on On-Demand.

Speaking of “Project Runway,” I was really excited about the “All Stars” series, until I found out there is no Heidi, no Tim, No Nina and no Michael. What’s the point? I haven’t seen it because I’ve been on vacation, but I’m sure Lifetime will have a marathon soon enough.

Over to Bravo is “Tabatha Takes Over.” No longer doing just Salons, she’s expanded to all sorts of businesses this season. I just love her take no shhhhhhh attitude. Love Tabatha!

Starting up soon will be “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” yet another guilty pleasure. Just love how down and dirty these drag queens get.

I only watched a little of the premier of “American Idol” last night. I usually enjoy the auditions, but this year other TV is winning me over. I’m sure I’ll get caught up in Idol-Mania soon enough, only to wonder why yet again. I’m not sure what the point of the show is anymore, as the people who win more often than not don’t go on to great careers . . . .

American Horror Story Season 2

American Horror Story Season 2

Posted by Dustin on 01.19.2012 at 12:27 pm

While the location and story for Season 2 has still not been revealed, after her Golden Globe win this past Sunday for “Best Supporting Actress,” Jessica Lange has commented that she’s in talks to possibly come back for Season 2.

We know that the majority of the cast is not returning, that it will be a new location, and a new story. Lange also confirmed in a variety of statements to the press that if she returns it’s with the understanding she and anyone else returning are going to be new characters.

Pretty Little Liars: Lucas Free And Clear!

Pretty Little Liars: Lucas Free And Clear!

Posted by Dustin on 01.19.2012 at 12:14 pm

I absolutely loved the last episode of “Pretty Little Liars” and the twist they threw in there concerning Lucas. For the entire past two episodes it appeared that Lucas was -A’s right hand man, but in the end he wasn’t involved at all. He’s just in over his head with gambling debts, which is why he had been acting so odd and was calling the crisis hotline the girls are working at.

It was a great fake-out, but again we are no closer to finding out who -A is! Spencer got a hint when she snooped at the school for the blind Jenna was at and where Alison supposedly visited her the day before she died and told her things. Not only did Alison never sign in that day, Jenna was signed out the night Alison went missing and died! So Jenna is back in the spotlight, but for now she’s MIA. She went off to Boston supposedly to get her eye surgery to restore her sight, and she’s all but ditched Garrett now that she has no more use for him. That has him going nuts and unravelling . . . .

Who is -A? Well the cast knows as they’ve filmed the episode, and we’ll find out during the Winter Finale on March 19th. Apparently it’s a shocking reveal, and not the same as the books. I’m sorta glad, because I never finished the books and would like to not have them spoiled!

The show is returning for another season, most likely with another mystery. All four girls are also said to survive this seasons finale, though a major character gets killed at some point on the way to the finale.

The Return of 9021…Oh No It’s Adrianna’s Kid!

The Return of 9021…Oh No It’s Adrianna’s Kid!

Posted by Dustin on 01.19.2012 at 12:05 pm

So “90210” returned this week after it’s looooooong winter hiatus. Of course the woman who hit Liam, and called in a fled hit and run to the cops, has now become his new girlfriend! Annie suspects her, and at the end of the episode got her purse as a mix-up at a New Years Party. In it she found all sorts of fake ID’s . . . but from the previews it still doesn’t look like it’s enough to keep her away from Liam. Grrrr!

Navid’s father returned to put an end to this ridiculous under cover story with him and his uncle, promising to turn himself in and put Amal away as well. Thank the heavens, as this story blew! Even though she learned the truth, Silver still felt it was over between them and kept dating the other guy she had met.

Dixon and Adrianna are still together, while Naomi broke up with her cowboy after catching him with Holly. He claimed Holly set her up to find them together, that she jumped him. Naomi eventually believed him, but realized she needed to be on her own for awhile to find out how strong of a woman she could be. Naomi remains the only reason in my opinion to even watch this show anymore. She’s the best actress and has the best stories.

Ivy and Raj are still apart, and she’s moved on with her photography guy. She’s unaware still that Raj lied about his health and is dying again . . . .

Finally the show ended with Silver meeting her new guy’s kid . . . which of course turns out to be the baby Adrianna gave away! Earlier in the episode Adrianna was wondering how her daughter Maisy was doing. Oohhhhhh noooooo! This is going to get messy. At least that little reveal spiced up the show.

Glee: I Do I Do I Do!

Glee: I Do I Do I Do!

Posted by Dustin on 01.18.2012 at 9:17 pm

So “Glee” returned with an episode that had the long awaited proposal and engagement of Will and Emma. I was beginning to think we’d never get there! Of course we only got engaged, the bleep can still hit the fan before the actual wedding. I’m still waiting for the return of Terry!

I always find it on when there is an episode that has Sue being a generally nice person, especially to Will and Emma. I’m sure she’ll be back to normal in the next episode.

I loved Sam joining the swim team and NeNe’s (Real Housewives of Atlanta) insults about his lips (I’ve never seen those lips on a white child!). Hilarious!

I am rooting for Sam and Mercedes as they are so cute. Not a Grease fan, but I enjoyed their rendition.

I really enjoyed seeing more of Becky, but her storyline was so heart breaking. Poor Becky! The voiceovers from Helen Miran for Becky were great though. Now I got why Sue was nice to Becky in this episode, just not Will and Emma.

The show left us with a cliff hanger with Finn proposing to Rachel. We all know she will say no. It’s not in her plan. She’s going to be a star, and it seems Finn’s family has already decided he’s taking over Burt’s garage. I really thought that was pretty cold of them honestly. They haven’t taken into consideration what he might want to do.

In other “Glee” news. Oxygen has renewed “The Glee Project” for a second season. Many of the new cast members this year came from it, such as Damien the Irish Guy.

It’s been announced that Rachel, Finn, Kurt and Santana are definitely back for Season 4 of “Glee.” The way they are returning has been described as “revolutionary” and “never been done before.”

It’s also been revealed that when Ricky Martin guest stars he’ll be singing LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It.” Frankly I knew this song was coming, I just wish it wasn’t. I’m not a fan.

Catching Up With The Housewives . . . .

Catching Up With The Housewives . . . .

Posted by Dustin on 01.16.2012 at 6:52 pm

This post is my thoughts on the previous two episodes of “Desperate Housewives.” Obviously a lot went down, and I have been cramming so much TV in these past few days, that I haven’t processed everything. So I’m doing my best to comment on things that stood out . . .

Bree got another note after Detective Vance was killed simply saying “Thank You.” The girls wondered why only Bree was getting these notes, not all of them? Good question! It’s looking more and more like it could be Orson, trying to atone for the past? Otherwise who else is there that is alive that could be doing this to help Bree? Possibly Rex’s jerky son who stole her company and now feels guilty?

Carlos got wasted and couldn’t remember what he did the night before, and his car went missing. However it later seemed it wasn’t Carlos after all, and Gabby sent him back to rehab. She then had to start learning the ropes of the company to save it from going under while Carlos was gone.

Ben is another major suspect, as they’ve really maken him take a turn for the scummy side. First getting caught by Mike dealing with loan sharks, then having his interest in Renee renewed when it came out she has 12 million dollars. Boooooo! I really liked Ben. Why do they have to make him a crummy guy?

My disdain for Tom started to wane when he and Lynette spent time together and she slipped into old habits of making what at first seemed to be snide remarks. He brought a pizza over and she said yet again he forgot she likes thin crust. He said his new girl friend would never do that. She then pointed out after 22 years, she would think he’d know what she likes . . . it makes her feel like she never mattered. Ouch! In the end she sent him to Paris to be with his new girlfriend, saying the point of all this was to find out if others could make them happy. I don’t have any idea how this whole storyline will end, I’m not seeing it ending happy though.

Bree was hilarious in the latest episode being a bad girl and going out partying and drinking. It looks like next week she might get herself into even bigger trouble than this week’s shenanigans! She’ll probably end up in rehab with Carlos sooner or later.

Susan Susan Susan . . . she’s once again blown it! Feeling guilty and going to see Alejandro/Ramon’s other family . . . she ended up writing a check claiming to be buying some first edition legos. Is anyone that stupid? First edition legos? But whatever, later the wife had all she needed to track down Susan with accusations thanks to her check . . . especially after Susan told the abused step-daughter that she never had to worry about her step-dad returning. Something that the step-daughter told her mother. Susan just couldn’t let it go could she!
