Under The Dome: Heading Into The Finale

Under The Dome: Heading Into The Finale

Posted by Dustin on 09.15.2014 at 3:43 pm

There are only two episodes left this season for “Under The Dome.” It seems as of late the dome is throwing all sorts of disasters at the town. Last week was an arctic blast, this week it seems the dome is shrinking. I hope Julia is no over that theory of hers that the dome is there to protect them. I think the dome is pissed that they lost the egg.

As I suspected it appears Melanie is Barbie’s older sister, well now younger sister. However her life is in peril as the testing the men on the outside are doing on the egg are killing her. I’m now torn. I have come to like Melanie, but still want Angie back. I do still think if she or another hand dies that Angie will return.

I can’t believe the show did such a 180 with Rebecca’s character that I actually like her now and don’t want to see anything bad happen to her. I’m still waiting for Big Jim to get his, but I’m sure that won’t happen until the actual final episode. The show needs a villain after all.

Last week I kept wondering why Barbie didn’t risk it and try and carry Julia to the diner the entire time. Clearly they made it in the end, so why waste all that time in the ambulance?

I never did read the book, which I bought last year, so I’m still actually clueless on the egg and what the heck it actually is. I guess I’m still going with aliens, though perhaps it has something to do with creation? It causes plagues, natural disasters and brings the dead back. Hmmmmm, yeah I’m going with creation. It is an egg after all.

Spoilers for the final two episodes of the season below!

Witches Of East End: Freddy Did A Bad Bad Thing!

Witches Of East End: Freddy Did A Bad Bad Thing!

Posted by Dustin on 09.14.2014 at 4:51 pm

A lot has been going on with the witches since I last posted. This post is just my thoughts on the stories, with spoilers for the next few episodes at the end.

So it’s getting harder and harder to keep liking Fredrick, given what he’s been up to. We’ve learned that the king’s spirit is inside of him, and he’s trying to basically give him a new body to take over. That’s what all the ritual killings were about, along with the Mandragora. Freddy didn’t like killing people to try and find a vessel for grandpa, so he had the Mandragora doing it. I suspected earlier that he may be possessed by grandpa, but this is more of a Harry Potter like Quirrel twist they have going on. I believe they even mentioned the king being sick and crazy at one point. Perhaps he actually died? If so this really is just like Harry Potter. Interestingly in the latest episode it seems he killed his girlfriend to give grandpa a new body. Looks like grandpa will now be grandma? I hope they find a way to make me like Fredrick again.

Wendy was forced to give up her boyfriend Tommy when he saw her shift. Joanna wanted her to erase his memory and never see him again, for their protection as much as his. If other witches found out about him, they’d kill him to protect themselves. However she couldn’t do it. Tommy is trying to be okay with her, and I really hope things work out for them. They are super cute together.

We found out that Killian’s wife has spelled him to get a baby out of him. It is unclear why she needs this. We know she seems to be forever young, as her grandmother who lives with them is actually her daughter. Do kids keep her young, or something else? I’m thinking she’s immortal, but her daughter is not, and they are trying to do a soul transfer. She unfortunately is keeping him under her spell, though he keeps breaking out of it. Poor Freya thought they finally had a chance to be together, until he returned to Ava!

Finally Ingrid and Dash got together, but she soon learned all the bad things he’s been up to and walked out on him. Uh oh! Looks like Ingrid could be in danger again from obsessive-Dash.

Spoilers for the next three shows below!

John Rhys-Davies (“The Lord of the Rings,” “Raiders of the Lost Ark”) Voices the Grand Pabbie

Giancarlo Esposito Guest Stars as Sidney/Magic Mirror

Master storytellers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz (“Lost,” “Tron: Legacy”) invite everyone to join Emma Swan, Snow White, Prince Charming, The Evil Queen, Hook and all the other resident fairytale characters as they prepare to defend themselves against a magical force from the past that’s too unpredictable even for Rumplestiltskin – Elsa, the Ice Queen from Arendelle. And now that Emma has brought back Robin Hood’s wife, Marian, and possibly sparked the end of Regina’s relationship with him, will Regina return to her old, evil ways and do everything in her power to get even? And newlyweds Belle and Rumplestiltskin continue to be deeply in love with each other. But Rumple is hiding a secret from Belle — one that, if found out, could destroy their happiness – he continues to be the master of the dagger that calls upon him to be the Dark One. Can Emma and Hook commit to one another, and can these two damaged people take their love to the next level? Mary Margaret and David have a new baby, Prince Neal, and are looking forward to raising him into a proud, brave and loving adult. But they are still sad that they were not able to do this with Emma, instead helping her escape the curse when she was first born and not meeting her again until she was 28 years old. Henry is very happy to have both of his mothers back in Storybrooke. But with biological mom Emma and paternal grandfather Rumplestiltskin’s blood running through his veins, he will be tested by both the light and the darkness. Finally, Will Scarlet (Michael Socha, “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland”), a former member of Robin Hood’s band of Merry Men, has traveled across many lands to make his way to Storybrooke. He finds himself intertwined in the goings-on in town for the first time as his mysterious past pushes him to an unknown future.

In the season premiere episode, “A Tale of Two Sisters,” a scared and confused Elsa finds herself in Storybrooke and, fearful of the intentions of its residents, creates a powerful snow monster for protection. With Robin Hood’s wife, Marian, back in the picture, Regina wonders if her “happily ever after” with the former thief has been completely quashed; while on their honeymoon, Mr. Gold finds an intriguing object that makes him question whether or not he should officially give Belle control over the dagger that makes him The Dark One, and Hook is dismayed to discover that Emma seems to be avoiding him while she tries to help comfort Regina after being the one responsible for bringing Marian back from the past and into Storybrooke. Meanwhile, in Arendelle of the past, as Elsa’s sister Anna’s wedding to Kristoff nears, Anna discovers that their parents – who died on-ship during a violent storm – were heading to a mysterious destination in a quest that may have held the secret to containing Elsa’s out of control Ice powers. And against Elsa’s wishes, Anna wants to finish their journey to find out what they were looking for, on “Once Upon a Time,” SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

“Once Upon a Time” stars Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow White/Mary Margaret, Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, Lana Parrilla as the Evil Queen/Regina, Josh Dallas as Prince Charming/David Nolan, Emilie de Ravin as Belle, Colin O’Donoghue as Hook, Jared S. Gilmore as Henry, Michael Socha as Will Scarlet and Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold.

Thoughts On Mistresses Season 2 Finale

Thoughts On Mistresses Season 2 Finale

Posted by Dustin on 09.04.2014 at 10:46 pm

So it’s been a few days since the “Mistresses” season 2 finale. I’ve thought a lot about it, and just now had the time to write about it. Before my thoughts, there is still no word on Season 3. From interviews with the show-runners, we should have an answer one way or another by the end of September. I really hope we aren’t left with the questions left by this finale. Come on season 3!

First up, I’ve been calling the Joss-Savi-Harry triangle since last season, so I’m glad to see it finally come to fruition. However I don’t know who I’m routing for. I was on Joss’s side because of how stupid Savi was, but we saw a different side of Savi this season. I just don’t know if it’s too little too late for her. I also really liked Joss with Scott, and she has a tendency to blow good things, and he was a good thing. Harry doesn’t even know Savi wants him back, so we don’t even know if he’d consider it either.

It’s horrible to say, buy I really hope to God that Paul is dead for real this time. That storyline needed to end. I felt bad for April’s little girl learning the truth from the news though. Clearly we know what, or who, will stand in the way of her and Daniel if there is a season 3!

Finally Karen learned she wasn’t HIV positive, but there was another bit of news we didn’t hear. First and foremost, they don’t release that info over the phone, period. Second, as a doctor she also should know there is a 6 month window and could still have it, it’s just not registering. If they are going to do an HIV storyline, they should do it right and give people the info. What the other news is though? I’m guessing she’s pregnant, and will spend season 3 tracking down all her one night stands! It would be nice if it was Jacob’s though.

PLEASE ABC . . . give us Season 3!
