ABC ANNOUNCES NEW THURSDAY NIGHT COMEDY BLOCK WITH “IN THE MOTHERHOOD” AND “SAMANTHA WHO” AT 8:00 P.M. AND 8:30 P.M.

“BETTER OFF TED” WILL PREMIERE PAIRED WITH “SCRUBS” ON WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

ABC announces a new Thursday night comedy block, with “In the Motherhood” premiering March 26 at 8:00 p.m., paired with “Samantha Who?” at 8:30 p.m. In addition, “Better Off Ted” will premiere Wednesday, March 18 at 8:30 p.m., following “Scrubs” at 8:00 p.m.

“The Bachelor” will continue on Monday nights from 8:00-10:00 p.m., leading directly into “True Beauty,” and “Ugly Betty” will return to Thursday nights at 8:00 p.m. following the run of “In the Motherhood” and “Samantha Who?”

Bunches of official ABC show spoilers for early February, when a lot of shows return from their end of January hiatus. These include “Housewives,” “Brothers and Sisters,” “Samantha Who,” “Betty,” “Grey’s” and “Practice.”

The “Private Practice” ones are juicy as it starts the “Grey’s/Practice” crossover storyline for February Sweeps.

The “Betty” and “Samantha Who” ones look to have been moved from their original airdates this week.

“Grey’s” is a repeat of Erica Hahn’s last episode. “Ugly Betty” is a repeat of the episode in which Gio returned. No releases for “DH” or “B&S” yet. End of January looks like a week of repeats on ABC.

Weekly spoilers from ABC for several shows, including “Brothers and Sisters” (the return of Steven Weber!), “Desperate Housewives,” “Dirty Sexy Money” (the return of Samaire Armstrong!), “Private Practice,” (Grant Show’s episode as Addison’s brother) and “Samantha Who.”

So I watch “Samantha Who,” but find it one of those shows that it a bit hard to comment on. I mean it’s a comedy, so I find it hard to pick apart and speculate. I have to say though up until last night, I thought this season had been a bit blah. The premier episode had her dancing with her mom in a competition, while the 2nd episode was her deciding to go to Africa and do good. Last night’s episode however was by far the best this season, and one of my favorites of both I think. Sam took a pill that brought back her memories before the accident, and she realized what a nasty person she used to be. She also remembered that Todd proposed to her. OMG! What an awesome thing to introduce. However the pill had a side effect, once she stopped taking it, she’d lose the memories, and the FDA pulled the plug on the pill. She raced to write down the memory, but of course lost it. It was bittersweet as she was just about to stop Todd from moving out, and now it seems she’s lost him again. She also remembered Todd dumped her right before the car accident that took her memory. Probably best she forgot that one!
