So first off, I can’t believe they really killed off Alejandro! I was so hoping that he would have been able to survive the gunshot, but then things would have been too easy for Carmen. I’m hoping thought that he’s left her something in his will, but if so it seems she will have to fight his family for anything. I’m guessing a little blackmail about Alejandro’s sexuality will be used here . . .
The Ethan, Remi and Valentina storyline is boring me. I’ve never really been that fond of Valentina, and I can’t stand the way she treats her mother. We the viewers have learned that Remi is very sick down in South America, and because some other girl answered his skype, Valentina jumped to the wrong conclusion. Meanwhile Ethan is, it seems, involved with the gang of thieves. We still don’t know what they are up to. I’m wondering if they are all the kids of maids, and this is how they know who to target? Is this some kind of Robin Hood story gone wrong?
The Opal storyline so far is the best part of the new season. As a friend pointed out, it seems to be inspired by the book/movie “Rebecca.” If you don’t know the story, it’s about a young girl who is involved with an older man who seems to be haunted by the specter of his dead wife. The wife died mysteriously, and he has a housekeeper who is obsessed with the dead wife. Yeah, it really is similar! We the viewers learned that someone warned Nick’s dead wife Dahlia about Opal and to get her out of the house. It seems Opal is the real evil here, not the wife. Well there is also the fact that it appears Nick killed his wife too . . . We still don’t really know what happened there.
The storyline with Spence and Peri is really on getting on my nerves too. Peri is so evil and never seems to get her comeuppance. She’s leaked to the tabloids that she and Spence are having problems, and that Spence may have cheated on “America’s Sweetheart.” Frankly I hope some tabloid exposes what a witch she is and soon. To be honest though, Spence has been such a wuss and caved into her so much that I don’t know if I want to see him with Rosie!
I love the storyline with Rosie’s new family and how she is helping Kenneth, the man of the house paralyzed with a stroke, to get better. Either his stripper wife or spinster daughter had to have caused his stroke somehow . . . should be interesting!
Evelyn’s infatuation with their security guard is amusing. I hope she doesn’t cross the line as I love her and Adrian! Sure their relationship is sick and twisted, but they bring the over-the-top camp to the show that it needs.
I’m actually not that sad over Zoila’s husband taking off. Honestly given last season, it seems she always settled for him because Genevieve’s brother was off limits. She needs to find someone who will make her happy. I loved the scenes between her and Genevieve this week after her marriage fell apart and Genevieve took on the strong supportive role for once.
So that’s my thoughts so far. Leave yours, and check out some spoilers for the next several shows below!
So the past week saw the introduction of Dorothy, and the end of Zelena . . . at least so we think. In Oz past, Glinda invited Zelena to join her at the witches council, where a seat for the West had been empty for a long time. It had been foretold that a great sorceress would come to Oz brought by cyclone and fill the empty seat. Zelena thought she was too wicked, but Glinda convinced her she could change. When Zelena decided to embrace the future and let go of her past and anger, she lost her green skin. Glinda then gave her a broach, the emerald she now wears, saying it would make her power even greater. However the price was that she was powerless without it.
Soon Dorothy came to Oz, brought by cyclone, and the other witches fawned over her. Zelena grew jealous again, her green returned, and she learned of another prophecy that a second sorceress would unseat the former, who was to be the greatest evil in all of Oz. Glinda tried to tell her they make their own futures, but Zelena wouldn’t listen. She tricked Dorothy into melting her, which would have broken all her spells, including bewitching the Wizard and turning him into a monkey. Only she wasn’t dead, and she pretended to be the “man behind the curtain” in order to send Dorothy back to Kansas so she wouldn’t usurp her power.
Back in Storybrooke, Zelena forced Emma to give mouth-to-mouth to a drowned Hook in order to have her powers removed. I don’t know, that seems a bit like cheating to me. That’s not really a kiss . . . Whatever, without her powers there was nobody with light magic to beat Zelena. She took Snow and Charming’s son and prepared to cast her spell. Meanwhile everyone convinced Regina that she had to harness the power of goodness to fight Zelena. She didn’t think she could, but Henry felt she did have good inside her and she could be a hero. Indeed Regina was able to conjure up light magic and strip Zelena of her pendant and thus her powers. All her previous spells were broken; so magic, hearts, brains and courage returned to their owners.
As the Charmings rejoiced, Regina slyly put Zelena’s pendant in her vault. Meanwhile Gold went to see Zelena, after giving proposing to and giving Belle a copy of his dagger so she thinks she controls his mind and heart, and then he killed Zelena! Or at least he thinks he did. From Regina’s vault, green smoke came out and made it’s way to the place where Zelena had been prepared to cast her spell. It caused a vortex to another land to open . . .
So I really don’t think Zelena is dead, and it looks like she may have been able to cast her spell still. That’s not good! I do have an issue with her losing all her powers when losing the amulet, as she was a witch before it. Also it seems like this season stripping witches powers is so easy to do. Why did nobody ever do that to Regina a long time ago?
I also wonder where Dorothy really is. Did Zelena, posing as the Wizard, really send her back to Kansas? Or is she somewhere else, and will we see her again?

Comments Off on Pretty Little Liars + The Fosters Return This Summer!
So last night was the season finale of “Resurrection.” Should ABC lose their minds and not renew the show, which is not expected to happen, it could be the series finale. Things look good for ABC to renew it fortunately.
Honestly, after last weeks amazing episode, I felt a little let down this week. I felt so much was so predictable. The very second the African American couple told Jacob’s parents that they were unable to find their son Robert, that he didn’t come back with them, I knew it was Bellamy. They said their son had a birthmark on the back of his neck, and we had to wait for the very last scene for this to come out. I knew it was him based on his past and his interest in various “lost boys.” It’s clear he was a foster kid, and he may have even mentioned it before. I can’t recall offhand.
We learned last week that the Sheriff’s wife came back early on, but had been hiding at her lovers house all along. Again this was not a shock, they hinted at that in episode two. What we did learn was that she rightfully left her husband, who turned out to be an evil jerk. When he found out that she returned and didn’t run to him and their daughter, it looked like she was a horrid mother. I definitely felt for her daughter. However the Sheriff showed his true colors, punishing all the returned in order to punish his wife. He, with the Army’s help, had them rounded up. Unfortunately it got out of control, and the Army was going to cart them all off. I felt like they have been building the sheriff up to be evil incarnate, and it just somewhat fizzled. The minute he saw his daughter being escorted out by the army, and he realized she had figured him out, it’s as if he just wimped out and had realized he had lost. He’s no “Big Jim” from “The Dome.”
Before the army could cart off the returned, things changed big time . . . Something happened and the entire town was put under quarantine. Bellamy was trying to get Jacob out of town to protect him when they ended up hitting a roadblock. One of the roadblocks was the army, who surrounded him for trying to leave. The other was a supernatural one. A swarm of locusts were at the town limits. Well it wasn’t a huge swarm, but they were there. They found all these locust shells on the ground, and some were flying around. So it seems we are back to the Bible and the Book of Revelations. I will really be disappointed if it turns out the returned are in fact evil, or part of some apocalyptic prophecy.
Nashville Thoughts Heading Into The Finale Episodes
Posted by Dustin on 05.01.2014 at 10:01 pm
So I have been following along with “Nashville,” I just haven’t had time to blog about it, or many shows, as of late. I’m hoping that will be changing soon fortunately.
First up, no decision about the show’s future has been made. It hasn’t been a ratings blockbuster for ABC during first runs on Wednesday, but has been a success when it comes to DVR and OnDemand playbacks. The show also has spurned a tour and albums, so I’m willing to bet they will give it one more season and perhaps move it to another night to see how it does.
I am not that impressed with the resolution to Scarlett’s breakdown and drug addiction. We have found out, so the doctors say, that she’s not an addict. Then what in the blazes happened? It now looks like she may have inherited her mother’s bi-polar issues. It seems either way she comes from a bad gene pool, as we learned Deacon and her mother’s father was an alcoholic and their mother also had mental issues. However she’s out of the clinic, Rayna let her out of her contract, and it seems that is that. I hope we are going to deal with this storyline a little more and not just sweep it under the rug. They made her mother out to be the worst mother since Joan Crawford and now it’s all been dropped. I don’t think so!
Jealous that Avery has paid too much attention to Scarlett during her time of need, Juliette went and had a fling with that horrible head of Edgehill records Jeff Forham! We don’t know what they did other than kiss, but it doesn’t look good. Unfortunately Gunnar saw them come out of the same hotel/bar one after another and they were fixing their disheveled selves up. Just when I had begun liking Juliette they go and do this. However from the spoilers below, it looks like Jeff is going to get what he wants and we are supposed to feel bad for Juliette. Nope not me!
Will and Layla are doing a reality TV show that will only lead to trouble for the closeted singer. I really hope he’s finally outed as this storyline has gone on way too long. I also would not be surprised to learn Layla knows about him. Hell it seems half of Nashville possibly knows! I could totally see Layla attaching herself to him to help her own career. Something about her has always rubbed me the wrong way.
Teddy has been a crybaby the past few episodes he’s been in and I’m pretty much over his character. I’m glad Deacon learned the truth about Teddy and his now ex-girlfriend. From the previews it looks like Rayna and Deacon could be headed for a long overdue reconciliation. Just when I started warming up to Rayna’s new guy Luke! Aw man, which man to chose?
Spoilers for the finale two episodes of the season below!
So I’m gunna need “Grey’s Anatomy” to get out of this depressive slump it’s in right now. It was really moving at first, but Shonda now has a record setting amount of dying kids at the hospital. What is with her and killing off kids? Seriously? I mean I know she loves to do it, but this is just too much. At least write in a Fred Phelps patient or something woman!
First up, the family that got dealt hand of genetic suckage cards with three kids with bad hearts . . . this was just a new low for Shonda. The minute they entered there was 1) no happy ending and 2) a lawsuit waiting to happen. Of course this week Cristina had to make a choice as to what to do with the one donor heart, and one kid died! Seriously, I just can’t anymore, stop! New idea, next season no kids die!
Cristina lost the Harper Avery Award, but as it turned out she didn’t. Richard, preparing to propose to Katherine, found out that Cristina won but that politics prevented her from actually winning. Because she works in a hospital owned partly by the foundation, she simply couldn’t win as it would look like favoritism. Wow! I was seriously pissed. Then why even nominate her? Oh as Richard pointed out, to toot their own horn! I loved seeing Richard tell Katherine off and then go blow the whistle to Hunt, who told Cristina. Honestly, when this gets around . . . how does the hospital plan to attract any new groundbreaking doctors or students if they can’t win such a prestigious award in their industry? Dumb dumb dumb! I also wonder what this means for Cristina’s future? Obviously this will be a major reason she leaves, but she owns part of the hospital! Will she have to give that up too?
We seem to be at a point of Deja Vous with April and Jackson. After a huge blowout about religion, April moved out. Jackson tried to repair things, but now she’s pregnant. We can only assume this time it’s for real, which means real issues in terms of them coming to an understanding. I’ve always loved these two, but right now I just don’t. I want to smack them both and I really want Katherine to stay out of there business! Damn you Shonda for now making me hate Miss Debbie Allen!
The bubble boy’s parents decided to not take Miranda up on her suggestion to try and cure him with a deactivated HIV virus . . . but by the end of the episode you just know she did it without their consent. Who does she think she is? Meredith or Izzie? Speaking of the later, I’d really like to see Izzie come back at this point just because I think it would be an amazing turn. I mean if we can bring Burke back for an episode, we can get her back!
In spite of the morbid kid killing going on as of late, I absolutely love the kickin 80s soundtrack we’ve got going on as of late, even if it is all remakes of the originals.
ABC’s breakout hit is coming to an end. The show is pretty likely to be renewed though. I still can’t figure out what in the heck is happening. I’m sticking with my theory that the returned represent sins or something like that.
So “Devious Maids” is back, and there are two main mysteries this season. Let’s get to the drama!
Rosie is back, actually she never left. She was held in detention and finally set free pending a formal hearing on whether or not to deport her. Spence and Peri hadn’t heard from her in months, and of course were shocked when she came back. Peri was really shocked actually. Nobody has figured out it was Peri who turned her in, and now Peri is plotting to get pregnant to hold onto Spence. She’s even told him she’s pregnant when she’s not. Oh brother, this plot is so overdone! Pillow baby anyone? Rosie however thinks this is God’s answer to her questions and has broken things off with Spence completely.
Carmen and Alejandro are married and she has let the fake marriage go to her head, and Odessa put her in her place when she kept treating her like the maid. I love Odessa so much and just wanted to smack Carmen throughout this episode.
Valentina broke up with Remi and ditched him in the Amazon, where he was doing some habitat for humanity thing, to return home. She’s still upset with her mom and has now taken a job as Evelyn and Adrian’s maid. Oh brother! Meanwhile the Powels and friends were robbed at gunpoint during a dinner party. The robbers pawned some of the jewels, gave the rest away to the homeless and also gave out the cash they got for the jewels to the homeless. Very interesting, and mystery number one! What are they up to, and who are they?
The burglary has Adrian shaking like a leaf, and Evelyn HATES weak men. Fortunately a nice strong and often shirtless bodyguard has been assigned to watch over them, and Evelyn likes what she sees a little too much. Can we say role reversal?
Marisol is now engaged to the very dashing and very rich Nicholas Deering. If he looks familiar, he’s the gay rancher/cowboy from “GCB.” Unfortunately he comes with a creepy maid named Opal and her equally creepy son Ethan. Ethan is working as a pool boy for the Delatours, and Valentina seems to like him. Yup, love triangle whenever Remi gets his butt back home. I have a feeling that Ethan may be behind the robbery of the Powels.
Nicholas, Ethan and Opal have their own secret. The show opened ten years ago with Nicholas’ first wife learning some secret of Nicholas’ that she planned to tell someone. She ran off; and Nicholas, Opal and Ethan (who was just a kid) followed and confronted her on a bridge. It seems that Nicholas ended up pushing her off, and then they all claimed to the cops she was distraught and jumped. Why are Opal and Ethan keeping this secret? What is the truth? It’s mystery number 2!
Below are some of the final episodes for “Drop Dead Diva,” which is set to end for real at the end of this season. The season finale few episodes haven’t yet been revealed.

Once Upon A Time: Time Travel Stories = Plot Holes!
Posted by Dustin on 04.21.2014 at 5:59 pm
So I never wrote up a blog on last week’s “Hook-centric” episode. It was fun, and I enjoyed it. The big twist was that Zelena cursed Hook’s lips so that the next time he kissed Emma he’d strip her of her magic. Clearly her new curse can’t go through while Emma has her magic. So far Hook hasn’t done it, but she’s threatening to kill Henry, Snow and everyone else Emma loves one by one if he stalls too long.
This week we got a lot closer to figuring out Zelena’s plans. We knew she was planning to go back in time and get rid of Regina so that she was the one Rumple tutored, but it’s actually much more. Zelena managed to get Regina’s heart from Robin, but she still doesn’t have Snow’s baby. It seems Snow’s baby is the last thing she needs, and as Snow pointed out . . . they are running out of time as the baby is gunna come any day now.
Regina cast a spell to conjure up Cora’s ghost to get the truth as to what happened with Zelna. We learned Cora was a bar maid, met a man, fell in love, and he proposed claiming to be a prince. They made love and she got knocked up, only to learn he was the gardner for Prince Leopold (Snow’s father). She was furious, but soon set her sights on Leopold. Cora really has always been about gaining power and status. Leopold was planning to spurn Princess Eva (Snow’s mother), the woman he’s been betrothed to since birth, for Cora. Unfortunately the gardner learned of Cora’s plan and he wouldn’t leave unless she paid him off. Unfortunately Eva heard the gardner blackmailing Cora, and she reported to Leopold about Cora and her child. Leopold then caught Cora stealing jewels to pay off her baby daddy and threw her out.
So Leopold went on to marry Ava, while Cora was out in the cold. She dumped Zelena after her birth, and Zelena got transported to Oz in a magic tornado. The rest we know. Cora went on to marry Henry, had Regina and then conspired to basically punish Ava and Leopold using her daughter to do so.
In Storybrooke’s present, Gold is still Zelena’s servant. She’s promised him that if her spell goes through, that he’ll have his son back, he’ll have never died as all this will be erased. Gold doesn’t trust her and has vowed to see her dead. He even tried to seduce her and get his dagger back, but failed. Meanwhile Belle reported to Snow, Emma and Regina that she’s figured out Zelena’s plan. The ingredients are a time travel spell, she’s going back in time. Regina realizes it’s to kill Ava so that Cora marries Leopold and becomes Rumple’s pupil, she’ll have everything she felt she was denied. Therefore Snow, Emma and yes even Regina will never have been born.
Okay wait wait wait . . . this just isn’t gunna fly. This right here is why time travel story-lines are too problematic! I have been picking this apart all day. I know, it’s TV, I should just accept it and move on. However I just can’t! The spurned Cora sought out Gold (or he sought her out? I can’t remember) but both used each other. Cora used Gold’s magic to get the power she wanted, the position she wanted and eventually the revenge she wanted. Cora wasn’t powerful enough to cast Gold’s curse (I think?) which is why he turned to Regina. However he had to let Regina believe the curse was her idea and what she wanted, as Regina too was out for revenge and to benefit herself. Basically without the context of Cora being spurned by Leopold, so much would have been changed in the past that Rumple may not be able to use them for his curse! They would have been a happy content family, what could Rumple offer or tempt them with? Why would he have even sought them out? There may have been another he could have used and abused.
Grrrrrr! I’m also mad that Zelena’s father turned out to be a nobody. It does however make her easier to get rid off for good.
Below is the preview for next week’s episode which gives a glimpse into what happened to cast the first part of the new curse.
