True Blood: Truly Bloody!

True Blood: Truly Bloody!

Posted by Dustin on 07.26.2010 at 5:23 pm

So last night I made it a point to sit and watch “True Blood” with no distractions so I didn’t have to watch the rerun the following day. Of course I picked the wrong episode, because several times I had to get off the couch and walk away, while at the same time screaming “GROSSSSS!” Definitely an action packed episode though!

Almost everyone had descended on Russell’s house in this episode. Sookie was brought in, and with Bill no longer needed, Russell ordered Lorena to kill him. Eric also was still around, as he had finally found his parents’ killer in Russell and wasn’t about to give his revenge up.

Through most of the episode Bill was all tied up on the floor and Lorena was cutting into him and making him suffer, while he just begged her to do it quickly. Bill brought up Lorena’s maker, how he was the one who turned her truly evil, how he would have liked to have known her before she was made. It at least got me interested in Lorena, as well as feeling a tiny bit sorry for her. Who was this guy? The name Bill said was very Eastern European sounding. I will enjoy Sookie following through with her threat to kill her though.

Russell questioned Sookie as to who she really was, or what she was. She didn’t know, but now the question is in her head. She realizes she is more than just human because of her abilities. She also learned about Bill’s file on her family. Bill has some ‘splaining to do!

Meanwhile Franklin continued to keep Tara prisoner, but she got the best of him. She convinced him that she wanted to drink from him and *bleep* him high on his blood her last night as a human. Watching Tara tear into him, that was the first time I had to walk away. Watching her bash his skull in the next morning with a mace, the second time. NASTY! Of course the real question . . . is he dead?

Tara freed Sookie, and as she went to look for Bill, Alcide arrived and found Tara. For those who wanted to see Alcide naked, this was the episode!

Eric and Russell went to see the Queen, who was hilariously scratching lotto tickets to try and get out of debt. Rather than kill her, Russell proposed marriage. She accepted, but clearly it isn’t a choice she wanted to make What?!? I cannot wait to see Talbot’s reaction. I mean he goes bonkers when someone messes up the house, but his man marrying a woman? Oh that won’t do!

Russell did confide his plan to Eric that he wanted the supernaturals to unite and take over humanity. Oh and Eric pretending to swing the king’s way to stay in his good graces was hilarious.

There was a quick flash on the TV in this episode of Nann Flanigan (the Vampire Rights Woman) battling out with some Right Wing Conservative. Was this just for filler, or is this leading to something else? Could Russell’s plan tie into all of this?

Back in Bon Temps, Jesus and Lafayette got to know one another better. When they went back to Lafayette’s place, Jesus commented on Lafayette’s alter. It had a statue of Mary, as well as some other icons from other religions. Jesus knew a looooot about them, and commented on how they had to be given proper tokens and gifts. Is Jesus bringing the Voodoo back to the show? Or Sanataria perhaps? His name for Mary, though I didn’t hear it clearly, did sound like the Voodoo name for her. However when Jesus found out Lafayette was a drug dealer, well that killed their budding romance fast.

Jason meanwhile was spurned by Crystal this week. She has a white trash fiancee, who is the guy terrorizing Lafeyette with his friends. They bashed his car up in this episode, and Lafeyette and Jesus bashed in his face. She pretended not to know him when he came to her house with flowers. Hmmmmm, interesting. Jason is going to get him mixed up in a whole lot of trouble with her! Jason also tangled with the new start quarterback of the high school. He made the comment that he had his eye on him, there was something about the kid that didn’t set right with Jason. Was that a clue? Is this kid something not human?

The last real development in this episode was finding out what Sam’s family was really up to. Good call to the commenter ‘Me’ last week who suggested Tommy was being pimped out as a dog fighter. That’s what was going on. Joe Lee pimped his mother out before that until she couldn’t fight any longer. Now Tommy is stuck making the money for them. Sam took off to find them . . . with a gun. I won’t cry if Sam shoots Joe Lee, I just hope he wore some clean undies!

The previews for next week look amazing. After being attacked at the very end by Loretta, Sookie ends up in the hospital. It looks like she goes on a little out of body trip to another realm and learns what she and her family members really are. Also the shot of Bill, covered in blood, but in the sun and not burning was great!

Big Brother Sunday the 25th Show + POV Spoilers!

Big Brother Sunday the 25th Show + POV Spoilers!

Posted by Dustin on 07.25.2010 at 7:08 pm

The show began where it left of on Thursday with the HOH competition. The first 5 to drop where the haves, and the last 4 the have nots. The first half of the show basically dealt with the HOH competition. In the end Brandon, Enzo, Ragan, Andrew were the have nots this week, and Matt won the competition.

Brandan and Rachel knew they were going to probably go up. Rachel tried to talk to Matt about what happened last week. Matt claimed he is not playing all sides of the house and he has no allegiances to anyone.

Matt got his HOH room and a letter from his wife. Apparently his wife is in on the deception as well re the disease, or just wrote in a way that accidentally benefited Matt’s lie made it seem like she was coping well with her disease and staying strong.

The brigade talked about who to put up. Enzo and the others wanted Brendan and Rachel up. Matt however has a target on Kathy for trying to vote him out.

Hayden and Kristen’s showmance continued, and Hayden’s loyalties began to be torn. The rest of the Brigade began to suspect something is up with Kristen and Hayden . . . but they thought they might be related or something! Some were worried he might turn on them later down the road should Kristen still be around.

The have nots found out what they could eat other than slop. Baby food and Bok Choi! Andrew was just happy that it is kosher.

Brendan and Rachel continued to try and see what they could do to stay off the block with Matt. Matt is still upset about their house meeting and lynching him in front of anyone. He said he has every reason to put them up. Rachel said he was never a target until that meeting. They tried to make deals that if he doesn’t put them up, then should they win next week they won’t put him up.

Andrew came to talk to Matt. Matt said Andrew was house enemy week one, but has been doing good lately and getting along with everyone. However he told Andrew he’d probably go up, but he is not a target. He wants to backdoor someone, that being Brendan or Rachel.

The nomination ceremony was held and Matt put up Andrew and Kathy. Kathy was a target, but he was hoping to possibly backdoor Brendan or Rachel.

If you wanna know how the POV turns out, read on!

Person’s Unknown: The Masons, The Illuminati, The Church, Insert Your Organization Here

Person’s Unknown: The Masons, The Illuminati, The Church, Insert Your Organization Here

Posted by Dustin on 07.24.2010 at 9:07 pm

So basically between what Joe spilled to the “guests” of “the program,” and what the Ambassador told Renbee and Kat, it basically seems like we are dealing with some type of super secret world power here. The Free Masons, The Illuminati, basically insert your favorite conspiracy theory organization here.

The group, which doesn’t have a name, has been kidnapping people for over 50 years, people with “potential,” and then it seems turning them into world power players. The Ambassador for example was a nobody, they made him who he is. Every major event, big or small, is orchestrated by this group supposedly.

I dunno, I think “Person’s Unknown” finally jumped the shark. The only thing that could be more cliche is to bring in the antichrist. Cue the theme from “The Omen!”

Also in this episode the guests found files in Joe’s room on all of them, and Erika the nasty piece of trash she is, snooped into everyone else’s secrets. Blackman apparently was blackmailing a host of people, and McNair (the army guy) was a hired assassin according to his file. He later explained to Moira that it was a lie somewhat, he was set up. Hey maybe the guests can hire him to kill Erika 🙂 She has outlived her three episodes at this point.

Joe claimed the files were planted (which they were, by the Chinese guy). The only person on his side was Charlie (Camera from Ferris Bulleur), who hoped Joe could be his ticket to freedom. Oh Cameron, your going to be the next Tori. And in fact, in trying to save Joe from the Chinese guy, he got himself shot in the leg. Should he die, so will the Chinese guy according to Joe . . . so clearly these people are NOT to be killed. Was Tori just a way to keep the Ambasador working? Is she REALLY did? Her boyfriend seemed to believe she could in fact still be alive somewhere. That would mean a major body swap.

Before the Chinese guy could kill Joe though, Janet deep fried him with a Wok full of oil! At the very end . . . . someone abducted Joe right out of his bathroom from under Janet’s nose.

The previews for next week seem to indicate Joe’s back story. Just who is Joe? The only real twist they could pull at this point is to have Joe STILL be playing his part in the program, and even the Chinese camera guy didn’t know. Is Joe the mastermind?

Person’s Unknown July 28th Spoilers

July 28th – SAVED

DAY OF RECKONING—When Joe (Jason Wiles) wakes up strapped to a table, he is told he must be “reeducated” in order to return to the program, or he will die. He then endures a dizzying array of dreams, hallucinations and flashbacks designed to steer him back to the program and away from Janet (Daisy Betts). Back in town, both Blackham (Sean O’Bryan) and McNair (Chadwick Boseman) are forced to come to terms with their troubled pasts. Elsewhere, continuing their journey in South America, Kat (Lola Glaudini) and Renbe (Gerald Kyd) try to track down the only person who has ever escaped “the program.” Also starring are Alan Ruck, Tina Holmes, Kate Lang Johnson and Kandyse McClure.

Alcide Made True Blood Regular, Comics and More!

Posted by Dustin on 07.23.2010 at 9:33 pm

Joe Manganiello, Alcide, revealed tonight at the Comic Con pannel (and earlier today to other reporters) that he had been made a series regular on the show for Season 4. So fans of his can look forward to seeing a lot more of the actor, clothed and unclothed.

The show is also spurning a comic book. There will be print versions, and it will be a miniseries of 6 issues. You can also download the first for the iPhone/iPad right now. The story follows Sookie and the others being stalked at Merlots by a creature.

Finally an exclusive clip of parts of the rest of the season was shown tonight. *update* and here it is!

Big Brother 12: 2nd Live Eviction and New HOH!

Big Brother 12: 2nd Live Eviction and New HOH!

Posted by Dustin on 07.22.2010 at 7:06 pm

Tonight was the second live eviction and the election of the new HOH. A word upfront, the HOH competition is endurance. The houseguests have been on inside lockdown since yesterday. So as soon as I know who is the winner from the feeds, I’ll update the post.

The show started with a recap of Monet and Matt being up for eviction, Matt going up as a pawn to get Monet out. The mean girls/BFFs Monet and Britney then went on their normal bashing of Rachel and everyone else in the house, who they feel is stupid. Matt joined their pity party and tried to play them up, saying Rachel and Brendan are going to get it next week. Matt was simply telling them what they wanted to hear, convinced he wasn’t going anywhere.

Hayden and Kristen’s showmance continued, which they tried to keep a secret from everyone, even though they are sleeping together! Of course they were caught by Andrew, who was in the room and pretended to be asleep.

Rachel, attempting to see where Kristin stood, lied and said people were saying Monet had her vote. Unfortunately Kristin relayed it to Britney and Monet, who denied it to her. This lead to an almost whole house confrontation. Rachel laid down that Monet doesn’t talk to her, won 10 grand, and would come after her and Brendan, so that’s why she’s on the block. Monet said she understood, but wants it clear she’s not going around being nasty, lying and calling people bitches. Rachel then said neither does she, she doesn’t use that derogatory word. Monet was so pissed she had to walk away!

Later Britney went to talk to Rachel, and Britney and Rachel exchanged notes on Matt. Both Rachel and Britney decided to try and make nice and keep each other from coming after another in the future. Rachel confessed to Britney that Matt volunteered to go up. Britney says Matt has been acting pissed at her and threatened to come after them.

A meeting was called to expose Matt as offering himself up as a pawn, and whatever other deals he had made in the house. Matt tried to deny he never said that. Monet laid into Matt for lying to her. Matt kept trying to say he made no deals and Brendan and Rachel strong armed him on another one of Rachel’s power trips. Matt did admit that he told Britney and Monet that BRendan and Rachel were his targets. Matt tried to claim he had no alliances. Monet said if they wanna vote her out for winning 10 grand, fine, but watch their backs around Matt as he’ll lie to them all and get away with it.

After a lot of ChenBot questions, the live vote was held . . . .

Andrew, Enzo, Hayden, Kristen, Ragan, Brendon and Lane voted to evict Monet.
Britney, Kathy voted to evict Matt.

With 6 votes to 2, Monet was out the door! And by out the door I mean it. She didn’t even stop to say anything to anyone. Julie asked her why she didn’t say goodbye? Money said she said goodbye to Kathy and Britney last night and this morning.

The houseguests then played for HOH. Once again the HOH was endurance. It involved them all having to balance on surfboards, that were attached to a wall. The surfboards moved and stuff was thrown at them like water. There was an incentive not to hang on, as the first 5 to fall were the haves, the last 5 were the have-nots. Rachel was a have for the week.

As soon as we know who the HOH is I’ll post it!

SPOILERS past this point!

Assuming the feeds don’t go off and this is a fluke, Andrew, Matt and Ragan are the only ones left. Ragan is making deals with both of them to jump, assuming he is safe fully, no veto replacement or anything.

Adnrew is gone, Matt and Ragan are left. Ragan is still making deals with Matt. Matt is going to put Kathy up since she voted against him, and he’ll either put Rachel or Brendan against her.

Ragan is trying to convince Matt not to put Rachel up, because he wants to be good with her, but he doesn’t care about Brendan. However he knows if they put Brendan up, everyone will vote him out over Kathy.

Matt is officially the new HOH!
