Brothers and Sisters: Lies Lies Lies Lies!

Brothers and Sisters: Lies Lies Lies Lies!

Uhg, like “DH,” thisĀ episode was so aggravating! Good, but aggravating. The episode pretty much revolved around the great “Rebbecca-Joe” incident. Who was lying, who was telling the truth. Rebbecca told her version to Justin, who confronted Joe. Joe took Sarah off for a camping getaway to try and tell her, only to reconnect with her. Justin seemed to believe Rebecca’s version of the incident, and given Joe’s past, who could blame him. The ever skeptical Kevin however didn’t believe her. In the end even Nora seemed to get taken in by poor Rebbecca! The surprising person who thought there was more to the story was her own mother Holly. Damn, that was harsh . . . but she knew her kid! Sarah and Joe finally had it out over his “guitar lessons” and her issue with Noah. Hey, Sarah wanted to cheat but didn’t, that says a lot unlike Joe who apparently kisses the girls and doesn’t tell. What was with that weak excuse that she “forced” him into it by “forcing” him into the life he was living. Pah-Leeze! However as the show came to a close we came to find out the truth . . . Rebbecca was not a victim and even seemed to want to go all the way with Joe! Joe was the one who backed off, she kept pushing. Hussy! I can’t believe she’d do this to a family that was trying to accept her. She’s worse than her mother!

The other big story of the episode was McAlister dealing with the chopper crash and death of his speech writer. In the aftermath, Kitty lost her head and proposed to him. However I have a bad feeling, not about these two, but about the campaign. This crash will bring back memories of McAlister’s own heroic act with the helicopter rescue. I have felt all alone someone is going to “swift boat” him on the whole rescue.

Nora and her professor were featured in this episode, but I have to be honest, I didn’t pay too much attention to them. I think her professor is a lech and she can do so much better than him.

  1. Interesting how this is a show about family, yet Kitty is hardly ever around. And I’m not sure about this relationship with the Senator. He seems to be on the level, but she’s a basketcase (personally). And she wants to marry a guy whose kids pretty much hate her? I think I’d let that relationship warm up a bit more before diving in all the way.

Sarah and Joe are so heartbreaking to watch — they seem to be in a space where they want to fix things but just not sure how. But he is a total @$$ in his dealings with other females. No wonder he’s on marriage #3! That Holly is a snakey woman — she totally loved attacking Sarah with this info about her husband. I wasn’t surprised to find Rebecca “enhancing” her version of the story — if Holly has been her only role model, she’s definitely going to have ISSUES.

I wish the writers would figure out what they are doing with Nora. First it’s the fix-it guy. Then she goes on some executive match-up date. They need to give her some direction. But it better NOT be Professor Slimeball. I’m surprised it didn’t occur to her to go to the dean or whatever and point out that a prof is sleeping with one student and now is forcing another to go on a date to get a better grade. Hel-lo!

  2. Kitty has alot of emotional issues that i think they will bring out next season.. i think her and the senator will become engaged but it may be a rocky road…

as for joe and sarah… joe can’t keep it in his pants and sarah can’t stop thinking about another man (which isn’t exactly cheating but sin’t exactly 100% faithful either) hopefully they will work things out!

nora needs to mend her broken heart from mr. walker’s death before she even thinks about seeing another man. she barely gave herself time to recoup from his death and then from the shock of the other kid rebecca and now she is semi-dating and inviting this girl to move in… i see big trouble on the nora homefront!
